Welcome to the necessary conversation midweek edition. This is our busting the MAGA bubble midweek show. We are going to play some clips for each other largely about Trump saying that he's going to run through for a third term. Is that even possible? Etc., etc. We're going to get your thoughts on that. Mom, I'll give my thoughts as well. Before we dive into that though, I want to play you a clip that is a rebuttal to something you said on Sunday's show. You claimed that Obama spent $350 million putting in a basketball court at the White House, right? >> Or the government did, but it was during his term, and now they're trying to crunch it all into the government and not him. But go ahead, play the clip. Let's see what you got. >> Okay, here we go. Rats that are complaining that Trump spent way too much money on this ballroom. Um, did you have the same energy when Obama spent $350 million on a new basketball court? >> No. Admittedly, we did not have the same energy. And in fact, we didn't even complain. But do you know why we didn't complain? Cuz they didn't spend $350 million for a basketball court. Oh, and by the way, if you want to know what real corruption looks like, you should probably read this article in my Substack. In fact, we don't even know precisely how much you spend for that basketball court. Because while presidents are given a $100,000 allowance to make modifications when they enter the White House, the Obama family decided to not spend taxpayers money and instead spend their own money. And if any cost for the basketball court had been born by taxpayers, we would know it because of this, the Federal Accountability and Transparency Act, which requires disclosure of any taxpayer funded project and any expenditure. Also, that basketball court couldn't have possibly cost $350 million because all the Obama family did was to repurpose a tennis court that already existed and turned it into a dualpurpose tennis basketball court. All they did was add two hoops on wheels, by the way, and then they painted the lines that you see here. Oh, they also added bleachers to allow youth nonprofit events to take place there. But you are right. Somebody did spend money specifically to remove all this. And do you know who it was? Yes, it was Trump in 2020 who started construction so that this area could only be used for tennis and he also spent money to build a pavilion next to it. So there are two >> What are you doing? >> I'm googling cuz I don't even know who this guy is. Who is this guy? >> He's a guy on Instagram just like one of your clips that that you sent me for this week. It's just somebody on Instagram talking. You come. Do you believe what he's saying? >> No, I don't. I'm not believing it. That's why I was googling this real quick. I don't Who is this? >> All I ask is that when we're watching the clips, you watch the thing I'm showing you. I watch the things you show me. >> Then you can Google it and do whatever. But you're immediately checking out of it before you even see what he's saying. >> Hello. >> Don't be rude to me saying that I need you to watch the whole thing. >> That's the whole point of >> starting rude to me already. That's not nice, Chad. >> How is that rude? I'm I'm asking you to watch the thing I'm presenting to you. >> I'm watching. Go >> possibilities here. Either you took the full figure for four years of White House maintenance cost and then knowingly told us that that was just the cost for the basketball court or you heard somewhere that that was the cost and didn't stop for a second to consider whether that claim is credible or not. Either way, that's pretty sad. Okay. So, in the end of that, the guy is basically saying Obama did not spend $350 million on the basketball court. He spent far less. The $350 million figure is for renovations over the course of four years while he was in the White House. And all they did was paint some lines on an already existing tennis court, bring in two basketball hoops, put up some bleachers. Trump then paid excessive amounts of money to have all of that removed and build a little building there uh when he came into office. So, you're saying you don't believe what that guy was saying in the clip. >> I I don't know if that was real or not. I would have to research and see. >> Okay. Well, let me >> one basketball court is like self- serving to me and only a few people can play basketball. a ballroom. A lot of people will be in there. >> Okay. What about the Ark to Trump? Do you think that's self- serving? >> I have not seen that one yet. >> He's building a monument >> in Washington DC that he is calling the Ark de Trump. It's just like a a giant uh it's like the Ark de Triumph >> in France, but it's >> I haven't seen it. >> Okay. So, you're Mike Johnson me. I haven't seen that. Uh it's not my lane. I don't know about that. Okay. Um, well, I wanted to play that for you just to get your opinion of it. And your opinion is you don't believe it. >> I don't know that man who's speaking. I would like to look more into that. >> Okay. Where did you get your information that he spent $350 million on a basketball court >> on Instagram? >> Okay. And so >> that came off that man also came off Instagram. Right. >> Right. So, I'm saying you'll accept some information from Instagram as long as it fits your narrative. But >> no, I might need to go use my chat. What is it? GB GT. Whatever. I need to use that probably. >> Okay. Um, well, let's move on to the main meat of this. Trump's third term this week. and he said this multiple times throughout this current administration that he wants to run for a third term, that he would like to be around in 2028, that he's selling Trump 2028 hats. Um, I want to play a clip to begin this from Steve Bannon, if you're okay with that. >> Now, Bannon, of course, is has been one of Trump's highest level adviserss, and this is what he has to say on the matter. Here we go. Are you watching? Marching >> get a third term. So Trump 28, Trump is going to be president 28 and people just ought to get accommodated with that. >> So what about the 22nd amendment? >> There's many different alternatives. At the appropriate time, we'll lay out what the plan is, but there's a plan. We had longer odds in 16 and longer odds in 24 than we got in 28. And President Trump will be the president of the United States. And the country needs him to be president of the United States. We have to finish what we started. Trump is a vehicle. I know this will drive you guys crazy, but he's a vehicle of divine providence. He's an instrument. He's very imperfect. He's not churchy, not particularly religious, but he's an instrument of divine will. And you could tell this of how we've how he's pulled this off. We need him for at least one more term, right? And uh he'll get that in 28. >> You're not driving me crazy. I'm really simp I'm trying to understand the coherence of the things you've just told me. On the one hand, you've said the Constitution is fit for purpose. Secondly, you've said that President Trump needs another term, even though the 22nd amendment makes pretty clear that he cannot have a sec another term. >> And why does it make that clear? >> Because he's in his second term already. >> You at some point in time, we will make sure we go through Xany and define all those terms. >> But you will be undermining the spirit of that amendment even if you find some way around it. If the American people with the mechanisms we have put Trump back in office, are the American people tearing up the Constitution? Would that be tearing up? Would they would the American people be going against the spirit of the Constitution? Ma'am, >> I think yes, actually, because I think what you are going to what you will end up with is populist justification for a quasi dictatorship. >> That's not true at all. Trump sounds like not Trump is a a dictatorship. Did you just see the compromises he had to make on the big beautiful bill? You see the compromises he has to do on everything on accommodating uh Zalinsky on what on what President Trump President Trump is nothing but a series of negotiations to kind of keep this thing rolling forward where he's having trade-offs all the time. >> Steve, you you've just been you've just spent the last 20 minutes telling me we have to smash the other side. There's no room for debate. There's no room for compromise. We must smash them. And now you're telling me this is a negotiation. I mean, that's seems to me some kind of tension there. The only way President Trump wins in 2028 and and continues to stay in office is by the will of the American people. Okay? And the will of the American people is what the Constitution embodies. And so I think we're going to be we're going to be in good hands there. We need to finish what we started. >> Okay. So that's Steve Bannon saying there is a plan in place for a Trump third term. You got that right. Yeah, I heard him say kind of that. >> Okay. Do you agree that Trump should be president again in 2028? >> No. >> Okay. So, you're against the idea of it? >> I think that guy's a little crazy in what he's saying >> because of that amendment. There's no way. They can only serve two terms and he's >> certainly there's [clears throat] a way. Certainly, there's a way. >> What would it be? He didn't go into detail. What would it be? I mean, he's doing things that are illegal now, kind of almost daily. Let's say Trump says, um, let's say all the states say, "This is against the 22nd Amendment. He can't even be on the ballot." Trump then says, "No, no, no. The Supreme Court said I get to do whatever I want and I can't even be charged criminally. Put my names on the ballots." And then he gets a bunch of red states to put his names on the ballot even though you're not supposed to because of the 22nd Amendment. Then all the states do it. He wins. And now he says, "That's it. The people have spoken. Stop me from being president." He He's in a position where he's just doing [ __ ] and seeing if anyone will stop him. And so far, no one is. Congress is not. Judicial system is not. >> I think you guys are just in an uproar. He's only been in office one year now and you're not you. It's like I don't want to say, how do I want to say it? Y'all are in an uproar. You need to let it go. He will not do three terms. He cannot by the 22nd amendment. >> Listen, you're saying we're in an uproar and he's not going to do three terms. Did you ever hear anyone [clears throat] in any prior presidency, advisor, president, anybody saying, "Yeah, we're going to run for a third term. There's a plan in place." >> No. >> Okay. So, the uproar is warranted. >> The guy that just talked to us, Mr. Steve, I think he's doing that just to get like people to follow him and watch him and and tune in to his his podcast or whatever. >> Fine. Whatever you think, however you're dismissing it, I just want you to take into account. Nothing like this has ever happened before in American politics. >> Well, put this >> since the 22nd Amendment was ratified. >> What did we call those things we used to do in the very beginning of the podcast? A prediction. That's what they're called. Mhm. >> I [clears throat] will predict right now Trump will not have a third term as presidency. >> And why do you think that? >> Because I think >> Vance will be our president along with maybe Rubio as our vice president or Sarah Huckabe. >> Uh okay, that's what I'm feeling. >> But you have multiple people including Trump himself saying he will not rule it out. >> No, I do have a clip. He said he will not run at third term. >> Let me see. Uh, your Trump clip is >> That's one of those clips I sent. In fact, I think it was today. It was today that he stated that. >> Hang on. >> On the date that we are rolling this. >> I need to share screen. I need to say this and I need to share that. Okay. Here. Here's the clip you're talking about. Ready? >> Okay. says that he told you that there's no time to amend the constitution to allow you to serve a third term. Is that an accurate representation of the >> I don't know. I don't want to even talk about that because you know the sad thing is I I have my highest numbers that I've ever had as I should. I ended eight wars and we have the greatest economy in history. I have the the best numbers for any president in many years. Any president. And I would say that if you read it, it's pretty clear. I'm not allowed to run, too. I miss him, sir. >> But we have a lot of great people. >> Okay. >> Did you hear that? He said he's not allowed to run. >> Okay. Now, let me play you a clip. Ready? >> Okay. >> Love to do it. I have my best numbers ever. It's very terrible. I have my best numbers. You read If you read it, >> am I not ruling it out? I mean, you'll have to tell me. All I can tell you is that we have a great a great group of people which they don't. >> Okay. So, I've got a clip where he says he's not ruling it out and he'd love to run for a third term. Which one do we believe? >> Believe mine. He will not be a third term president. It cannot >> Why don't you believe mine? He said he's not ruling it out. >> It can't happen by our Constitution. By the amendments. >> He doesn't give a [ __ ] about the Constitution. >> Okay. I He's running all over it. >> He like every day he goes somewhere, every day he does something new. He is probably going to be tired within the next three years. >> What? Who you want to start getting into his health? I mean, we're going to talk about this this next Sunday about his trip to Walter Reed, the MRI, the cognitive tests. >> No, I'm talking about he's in Japan now. He'll come home. He'll go >> wandering around like a zombie. Did you see that clip of him not knowing where he was going and he had to be led around by the hand like a toddler? >> No, I'm saying I'll pull that clip for Sunday. >> As we age, we all we feel it. I do think within the next three years, let's see, they've tried to assassinate him >> how many times? Twice, three times they've tried, >> huh? >> I don't believe anyone has attempted to assassinate him. I think that is all fake. >> Okay. Um I don't He will not mark it down. He will not run for three terms. He can't. >> So, but I don't understand why you are selecting the clip of him saying the Constitution is clear. It says I can't run. I'm showing you a clip where he says I won't rule it out. So, why would you in this case specifically where we're talking about a president saying something that is unprecedented, no president has ever said this post FDR, post the 22nd amendment becoming a thing. No president has ever been like, "Well, I won't rule out running for a third term." I take that to carry more weight than him obviously lying about the other thing. >> No, I take my clip as to be truth >> and like where he said I wouldn't rule that out. I I think that was a joke type thing. >> He wasn't joking. No one was laughing. There's no comedic element of what he's saying. >> Okay. I guess time will tell. I think that Mr. Steve there was just going up for ratings and getting people to watch him. >> Um he's not >> you know what we should ask him what's the plan. He never said what the plan was going to be. >> We can't say what the plan's going to be because then the Democrats could defend against it. But when he's saying there's a plan in place and we'll tell you what it is when when you need to know. Do you believe that there's a plan in place? >> No. I think that guy's going for ratings. I really do. >> You think he's completely making up the fact that there's a plan in place? Yes. >> Trump's too busy to be doing stuff like that. Trump is trying to >> Trump isn't the one planning it. Trump has never been the one planning it. >> Who would be planning this? >> Steve Bannon, Steven Miller, Peter Teal. It's the guys who made project 2025. You agree now that project I assume anyway, maybe you don't, that project 2025 is the blueprint Trump is following. >> It's not the blueprint, but some things in there have happened. Yes, >> he's he's attempting to do them all. What do you How do you not see that? >> Why didn't they put in there then that he would run for three terms? They have not. There you go. >> Because that document became public and they that is the one big thing that when that happens, we're living in a dictatorship 100%. >> I can't believe I can't believe you're not happy with me stating that that I think he will not run and you're like debating me on this. >> Well, it's because you're believing the lie that he's telling you. He is going to I don't know if he's going to run in quotes. I don't know how it's going to work, but he is not going to willingly leave office. There's going to have to be something done to remove him. >> JD Vance and Rubio will be our next ticket or Sarah Huckabe or they can throw in another good woman. We've got a lot of people. I mean, he has already also floated the idea when he was talking to Zalinsky the first time, he basically said like, "Oh, so if you're in a war, you don't have to have an election." Very interesting. He's floating the idea that if America is in a war, we won't even have an election. That could be another way he stays. >> Yeah, that was a long time ago. I heard that. Like a >> a long time ago. It was like three months ago. >> Like a civil war or something. Yeah. >> No, not a civil war. If we're at war with anyone, if he just declares war, like let's say against Venezuela after he's just slaughtering >> anybody who shows up in a boat in the Caribbean now >> after he's saving us all from fentanyl, drugs, cocaine coming into our country through Venezuela that Russia and China put those drugs in those boats to bring up here. >> Okay. >> Wowee. >> Whoa. Saving us all. >> Okay. Um, well, I have one more clip. You sent me some clip that you want played, correct? >> Yes. I couldn't quite find the correct one, so this one's a little over the top, but go ahead. >> All right, we're going to play your over the top one. This comes to us from Instagram. So, per >> This is the message that I wanted. >> I should I should dismiss everything in this clip immediately because it's on Instagram, correct? >> No. >> Okay, here we go. >> They're sharing their plans. If you have a restaurant, if you have a grocery store, if you are out in public eating, if you work at any of those places, if you are unloading groceries at your car, whatever, watch your back. Stay vigilant, and keep your situational awareness on point. Watch this and let me know your thoughts. >> [ __ ] November 3rd at 6:30, we're going to Walmart. We're going to [ __ ] Walmart. And at 7:30 we're gonna walk out of Walmart with our [ __ ] buggies. Okay. The thing is they can't catch everybody. You feel me? All you got to do is run for us. Run. Okay. We have to stick to [ __ ] gather. It don't even [clears throat] matter. As long as we going to have everything we need for Thanksgiving, that's all that [ __ ] matters. [ __ ] run for run. Remember, put it in your calendar. November 3rd, 6:30 to 7:30. You better be running out. I look like it. >> Just a thought. Have a great day. >> Okay. >> Wow. Just a thought. >> And so this is Okay. So, just to get this straight, >> you're showing me a video from an Instagram person who is showing another video of one Instagram person saying, "Here's the big nationwide plot that we're all going to go to Walmart on November 3rd and steal things." >> Yeah. the clips that I'm seeing, there's a bunch of clips going around now, just not that one >> that they are stating when when Snap runs out, you know, I've had it for 14 years. You're not going to stop me now, Donald Trump. I'll just go into Walmart. I will steal what I need and I'm going to walk out. >> It's not Donald Trump who has done this to our country. Do you know >> it is the Democrats that wouldn't pass this bill that you have my clip? Nothing was changed on it. Pass the bill. Our government goes back. >> I don't have that clip. >> Everybody that's that was the Mike Johnson one I think >> that he stated we've changed nothing on the bill. Democrats will not pass this. They just tried two days ago again. >> We need th those Democrats to vote >> to open our government back up. I want our government back open. I want these people to have their food, >> but I don't want them to think >> that, you know, welfare is a bridge. It's a bridge for people to get back on their feet, get back going. >> That America that you think exists has been dead for decades. That is not what SNAP is. That's not what any of these programs are anymore. We are living in a country, in a world where all the wealth is consolidated into the top 0.01%. 01%. And so if you have a regular job, let's say you work at Walmart, for example, you're on Snap. >> Walmart does not pay their employees. Amazon does not pay their [ __ ] employees. >> McDonald's does not pay their [ __ ] employees. >> If your level is below a certain point, you can get on Snap, >> but that level doesn't have to be at that level. The people at the top could stop sucking so much [ __ ] money to the top, spread it out a little bit, and people wouldn't need to be on it. Let me play you a Tik Tok clip now. Are you ready? This is about Walmart. >> Can I say one thing though? You know, welfare to me is supposed to be like a bridging gap. But then when Trump implemented uh the big beautiful bill, he said there were like criteria like pregnant, disabled, primary caregiver of children. um they can still be awarded, you know, their welfare, their SNAP, but if you are ablebodied, you've got to get out there and either do community service or look for a job or try to get one. >> One of these jobs wanting to get out there to do that, you're so wrong. You're so wrong. >> People do have these jobs, but they're working 40 hours a week and still not making enough money to pay rent, to buy food, to have gas. That's the country we're living in. Because you have maniacs like Trump, these billionaires, sucking all the [ __ ] money out of the system. >> All right, let me play you this clip. Are [clears throat] you ready? >> Yep. >> I believe we are either going to have Walmart or Trump, but I don't think it can be both. >> As y'all know, SNAP benefits are >> Can you please watch the clip I'm playing? You >> quit being rude. >> I'm not I'm being rude. You're not even looking at the [ __ ] I'm trying to present to you. I am watching it, Chad. >> Still at risk of going unpaid November 1st. If you don't know, Walmart is a company that captures one out of four dollars in the SNAP budget. And I'm not exaggerating. 25 out of the hundred billion dollars the government spent in 24 went to Walmart. And it's estimated that 94% of recipients shop at Walmart. And that was by design. Walmart not only captures existing SNAP recipients, they create new ones with their employment practices. There have been several journalists to report on that in the last decade. And of course, Walmart has no problem lobbying for low wages and to protect SNAP benefits, but the extra revenue they get from 25% of the SNAP budget. It's like a robbery with extra steps. And I'd be more mad if the SNAP budget didn't represent like $36 a US taxpayer per year or if I didn't think it was a necessary social safety net like I think it is. Walmart is the perfect example of a predatory capitalist company though, especially in this very late stage because they're not only robbing the people like their employees, almost guaranteeing that they themselves need the SNAP benefits and adding to that revenue source for them. We can also talk about the many small businesses in the past, present, and future that simply can't compete with Walmart or the government who by way of unchecked capitalism straight up subsidizes that advantage with a quarter of the SNAP budget every year. And that's just SNAP benefits. We haven't even talked about the tariffs that are raising prices and shrinking carts as the days go by. And I'm not saying they fund a militia like Carnegie Steel did with the Pinkertons or make like the Chita Banana Company and split up a country's government in the name of maintaining profits. But at the end of the day, money talks in this country and Walmart has a lot at this point. by the end of this administration. >> Okay, so there you go. Did you understand that? >> Parts of it, not all of it. >> Okay, he's essentially saying that Trump has eliminated SNAP benefits, right? Walmart makes the most money of any company from SNAP. Do you understand that? >> Yes. >> Okay. They also pay their employees nothing, almost assuring that their employees have to be on Snap. So, not only are they making money off of just people who come into their stores to uh buy [ __ ] using Snap, >> their employees also, they are paying them less. And then to make up for that so that they can have a any kind of livable situation, their employees also have to be taking money from SNAP. So they are just getting paid upon paid upon paid upon paid. It is a a government grift basically. Did you get that? >> Yeah. >> Now that SNAP is gone, that quarter of the SNAP budget that goes into Walmart is also going to be gone. Walmart is not going to like this. So Trump's policies now, including the tariffs, including what he's doing to SNAP, are going to start hurting gigantic businesses. And that ain't going to fly. Something's going to have to change here, >> right? Our government has to get back open. >> Okay. The government getting open has virtually nothing to do with the SNAP thing that you're talking about. >> Yes, it does. Because then those um programs will be funded. >> No, Trump doesn't want to fund them at all. >> Yes, he does. if those criteria were met by people, you know, back in the day too when when um like I thought back in the 80s and the '9s, >> if you needed assistance, you would go to a church, you could go to places like uh shelters that had food pantries, things like that. >> I'm sorry, I should have turned it off there. So, where are our churches in all this helping? >> Have you not seen all the news on the food pantries? >> Yes. They're all empty. They're all empty. >> Yes. >> There's still people out there willing to do this work, this charitable work to try and help people get food or whatever they need to survive. >> Democrats need to open our government. That's what they need to do. >> Isn't the Democrats Republicans control every branch of the government? How are the Democrats doing this? >> Except the vote in this last Senate for that. So why don't they negotiate with the Democrats then? >> Because we don't want to give health care to illegals. We don't want to have health stuff still pay trillions and trillions. >> You don't understand what this is. The the ACA subsidies. That's the Obamacare subsidies that that's what this whole thing is about, >> right? The Republicans are saying, "We're going to pass a short-term bill to extend those subsidies for one year, assuring that whoever's on that healthcare will be paying whatever their premiums were prior to this going into it." For one year. One year. Why do you think it's for only a year? >> I have no idea. to get them to the midterm elections so that nobody's prices go up and the Republicans can run their elections, run their campaigns, and hopefully win again. And then all of those subsidies revert. They disappear and then the Republicans are going to crush people. >> If you play the Speaker of the House clip though, he states, "We changed nothing in this bill >> and we wanted to get this passed." >> He said, "We changed nothing." Here's the clip. I'll play it. >> Okay. >> This is the one you sent me, right? >> Yeah, I think so. [clears throat] >> Well, there is the 22nd amendment. Um I I spoke with the president about an hour ago in Japan. >> He's working around the clock serving the American people. He doesn't stop. Uh talk about someone who works around the clock. Um and and as Chairman Fluger mentioned a moment ago and as we've reiterated in here so many times, you're looking at the split screen because under President Trump, the Republican party has delivered. I mean, you're talking about reducing taxes, reducing regulations, cutting fraud, waste, and abuse, ended the border crisis, ending the crime crisis, uh resolving >> I just have to I just have to laugh at that. Cutting fraud, waste, and abuse. He's building a $350 million ballroom. Okay, this may not be the right clip either. >> This is what you sent me. >> Wars around the globe and working on these amazing trade agreements. Uh it's been a great run. Uh but I I think the president knows and he and I have talked about uh the constrictions of the Constitution as much as so many Yeah. >> the American people lament that um the Trump 2028 cap is one of the most popular that's ever been been produced and he has a a good time with that. um trolling the Democrats whose hair is on fire about the very prospect. Uh but uh I I do believe that we've got three extraordinary years ahead of us >> whose hair is on fire at the very prospect. It's like, "Yeah, [ __ ] Our hair is on fire at the prospect of him destroying the Constitution and becoming a [ __ ] dictator." >> I think this is the clip stating he won't go for third term. This is not the one where he did state if the Democrats would just vote, we can open this government back up. But >> Johnson, no offense, is a spineless piece of [ __ ] who does nothing but lie constantly. >> Oh my goodness, I love him. Okay, but like about 15 minutes ago, dad said he saw on the news that Trump will somehow get this the snap figured out. >> Mhm. >> By November one. But you're talking >> I just want to zero in on this idea that you believe the shutdown is being caused by Democrats. >> Yes, it is by the votes that they will not give us. >> Right. So the Democrats >> the Republicans refuse to negotiate for any of this [ __ ] Largely the ACA subsidies. They refuse to negotiate. If they would come to the table and say, "Hey, we'll actually extend these subsidies for two years, three years, whatever." Uh the Democrats would be like, "Great, let's do it. Reopen." They per Mike Johnson, they refused to negotiate. That's on them. >> Democrats already passed this um this CR like how many times? >> Five, six, seven. And now they won't do it. >> Correct. Nor should they because if they do, it will stave off these health care premium increases for one year. Then they're going to skyrocket again and it will be too late. No, >> people need to see what is happening here. >> They want this to happen. They want our country shut down. They want civil unrest everywhere >> so that they can blame Trump. >> They don't want any of that. They want people to see what is happening because of Republican policies. Whether it happens now or in one year, these increases in health care costs are part of the Republican design. And so by shutting down the government now, it forces them to have that conversation immediately instead of waiting the year that it would take for it to eventually trigger. And the Republicans have have at that point potentially won their midterms. So there has to be some political cost paid by the Republicans here. That's what the Democrats are doing. I love you, Chad, but I totally disagree because if they would vote the right way and get our government back going, that's the people they should care about, the people that need food right now, the people that need these programs. >> Yeah. >> If they cared about these people, they would vote correctly and our government would be back open. >> So would the Republicans. Why aren't they voting correctly? >> Because this is the same bill they've had going forever. >> No, it isn't. What are you talking about? the bill that they're trying to pass would mean that those ACA subsidies end in a year >> as well. They probably should. >> So, you think people's healthcare should quadruple? >> No. >> That's what the Republicans are doing. >> I think people right now need food. >> So, I would vote keep it open right now for the food. I would figure out the rest later. >> Okay, great. Then why don't the Republicans come up with an interim bill that is that? >> Because they don't want illegals to have free healthcare. >> What does that have to do with people having food? >> The government needs to open quick. >> Okay. No answer then to that one, huh? >> No. >> You're just going to leave that? You're not even going to answer the question? >> I'm going to leave it. >> Okay. I'll take that as a victory. Um, thank you all for joining us. This has been our midweek episode. >> Victory. >> What's that? >> You did not get a victory. But go ahead. >> You couldn't answer the question. I saw the wheels spinning. I saw your little eyes rolling around trying to figure it out. You had no answer. >> No game, right? Yeah. Right. >> No game. What? >> I'm here. >> Okay. >> Okay. Wrap it up. Wrap it up. >> All right. Thanks everybody for joining us. will be back Sunday to talk about Trump's ultra difficult cognitive test where he had to identify a giraffe or whatever. Uh we will largely be talking about the government shutdown probably as we're going into a full month of it. How that is affecting everything. I'm sure we'll bring up SNAP. I'm sure we're going to be talking about healthcare. Chad, how would you feel if I do go to Walmart on I know that one lady was saying the third, but I've heard that on the first when they no longer have money to buy groceries. How would you feel if when I'm in that store, someone knocks me over and takes my groceries away? >> I wouldn't feel good about that. Obviously, I don't think people should knock anyone over. But >> that's why Democrats should vote right now to open our government. >> Instead of getting knocked over, why not buy a grocery cart of groceries for somebody? Good idea. >> Would you do that? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> I I already I mean I don't want to get into it. Yes. >> Okay. Great. So, there you go. You've got a salon. >> Well, between you and Haley now, I'm buying groceries for people. >> Yeah. >> I've got friends all over the place now giving me text messages for different things. >> That's okay. It's Oh, yeah. >> Uh anyways, join us this Sunday. Sorry, Mom. Go ahead. >> Nothing. Go ahead. >> Join us this Sunday to talk about all of those topics as well as probably the uh Trump's glorious peace time deal that he made in Gaza falling apart right before our very eyes. >> Very sad. It's very sad. We'll see >> because he can't [clears throat] make a deal. He's terrible at it. >> Talk about it. We'll talk about it Sunday. >> We will indeed. Thank you for joining us. We'll be back on Sunday. Mom, I love you. Thank you for doing these midweek things with me. I know we're the only two people who who've got what it takes to do an extra episode. >> Haley needs to get her act together and do one of these, but she's busy. >> As are we all. >> All right. Bye. Love you. Love you too.
