And she's like, "Here, have a drink of my butterscotch." And it was just like a tumbler full of scotch and ice. I don't
know that there's any like direct correlation to it, but I'm sure growing up with alcoholic parents, whether they're like abusive or not, it, you know, does something to you that probably makes you more susceptible to um I don't know. Siding with somebody like Trump, I don't know. I don't know. It's an interesting question. I'm not sure. [snorts] Um Creative Sharks. like effectively saying that woman deserved to be punched. Like she shouldn't have been interrupting him. It's [ __ ] assault. Trump blatantly supported it and was like, "Get her out of here. She's scum." And I don't like that. To me, that line is a weird one that my mom can cross where she's just like, "Yeah, she wore the shirt and she was interrupting Trump, so she deserved to get the [ __ ] kicked out of her." Um, I'm I'm hopeful that that woman presses charges and that something actually happens. But at least I haven't read anything more about it today coming out, so I think it may just
be that she's like laying low. Um, I'm sure she's probably weighing like, is it worth pressing charges? Because then she'll become MAGA public enemy number one. Who knows what that does to your life? Nothing good, I'm sure. You know, and is it worth actually doing that? I don't know. Greg Caner speaks in third person. You used to say you thought your parents were in the middle of Maga's sliding scale of devotion. Do you still think that? Yeah, for sure. I mean, [ __ ] I don't I know my parents are like extreme. My dad is very extreme still.
Um, my mom I think is like less extreme than my dad in the devotion to MAGA, but I'm sure you see other videos on Instagram and Tik Tok I do all the time where like you know um people go out to to MAGA rallies and stuff and interview people there. They're [ __ ] down for any and everything he's talking about. my mom at least has her exes, you know, she at least has uh some things that she disagrees with him on. That doesn't quite translate at this point to um her denouncing him or or leaving MAGA, but I think there are people who are way more
extreme than my parents. And I do think my parents are about average in the middle of of MAGA devotion. They're kind of like the, you know, in that tier where it's like they, my mom, I'm talking about here, my dad like is is way lost in the sauce. But my mom, I think, is like kind of trapped by the fact that she voted for him and and like can't let go this idea that has been planted in her mind that he is the savior of our country, of humanity, etc., etc. Um, I do think that she's like in the middle.
Jack Zilkin, please remind Mary Lou. Bob lied about his age to enlist in the military. I don't think that's true. I know they said that, but I don't think that's true. Should he have his VA benefits revoked? Should the culture home be raided? Skin equals star. What's that mean? Um, yeah. I mean, if that's true, I I tend to think that's not true, though. again.

It's a strange kind of like I don't know if it's explicitly a baby boomer psychology thing, but my my parents have definitely used that exact tactic on my sister and I throughout our entire lives, that manipulation tactic. And he's done it to his base. He's done it to as many people in America as we'll engage it.

get it. You're afraid of this shit." But like, what about war, ICE, healthcare for all? And I did at least get her to admit those issues are more important to her than any of the trans boogeyman stuff that the um right is is trying to like put in her head. So, if Trump said that, that will be very interesting to see what my mom thinks about it.

You can't get rid of all the guns." I'm like, "All of these other most other countries have done this." I remember looking at um what you have to do in Japan to get a a gun like as just a citizen or whatever. It's [ __ ] wild. The government comes and
like interviews all the people you work with and your family and [ __ ] and they're like, "Should this person have a gun?" And if anybody says, "H, I don't know. They they seem a little off." You don't get the [ __ ] gun. you have to take multiple tests per year to prove that you understand gun safety and that you can use the gun safely and all that [ __ ] Um it's like why can't we have that? Why can't we have a system like that? It literally works. And it's because the gun manufacturers in this country make fuckloads of money. That's
why we have 120 guns per 100 people in this country. Um and they just like fund all the politicians. So, the politicians aren't going to pass any laws or even talk about it. This mass shooting is like, it's already out of the news. It happened 2 days ago. It's already out of the news. book. So I doubt it. But I'm going to have a book coming out uh probably sometime early to mid next year and I'm going to force everybody to read it and we're going to talk about it. And I think that would also be true. I think my sister would also have to be a faithful. I don't think she could keep it together as a traitor. Um, and I think she would be the the like pilot Pete kind of faithful who's like, you know, bulldog like going after all the traders all the time. She'd get murdered quickly. And my dad I think would be like they might cast him as a trader and he would be too sinister. People would suspect him as a traitor immediately. I think I would be great as a faithful or a trader. I think I would absolutely

And they're making so much out of it because it's a very like it's a super rudimentary idea. And I think for a lot of the MAGA base, the easier the idea is to understand, the easier it is to
manipulate them. And like boys playing girls sports, that's it. That's the whole pitch. It's a a not even it's like a half a sentence, you know, and they can all understand that and now this is [ __ ] and it's in the LGBTQ plus arena, which they hate anyway. Um, yeah, it it really that one like really pisses me off that my mom can't see around that.

It's like the um the states that are the worst in education, poorest, it's all this different these different metrics basically that kind of coalesce into is the state doing good or bad? All the worst ones are red states. And then obviously we use that to kind of launch
into a conversation about like, well, they're being governed by uh these corrupt [ __ ] Republicans and the states are suffering. So why are Republicans better than Democrats to govern? And of course, there were no good answers. Um, a cat's dad's cat's dad. [laughter] Oh my [ __ ] god. [snorts] Speaking of uh distracting with fear of trans, etc. in M O we voted uh oh my god my eyes we voted in 24 amendment that gave right to abortion um mov didn't like that so put it on ballot against again now but in same amendment as no trans kids surgery which is already illegal. Interesting. So,
they're trying to piggyback on that fear-mongering of trans kids getting gender affirming care. It's like, it's so [ __ ] crazy. It's so [ __ ] crazy. And, you know, like um I remember reading this one book this one time called The Forever War, I believe it was called, and it was a series as well. And um it in one part just kind of talks about how there are like social it's a sci-fi book about like the far future and all this [ __ ] but in one part it kind of talks about how like there are these um sweeping social changes that
happen in the fictional future of this this world where sometimes like there's more people are gay or trans or whatever and it just kind of like it's always fluid. It's always moving. But I feel like we're in that era right now where like it's becoming very socially acceptable to um you know even as a young kid to be fluid in your gender and sexuality and all that kind of stuff.
And for some reason the right is just like hardcore against this. And the only thing that I ever really fall back on and I don't know if this is true or not t it's what I think is true. I think it's because the right like represses those impulses in their adherence in Christianity, in right-wing politics, and all that stuff. And it's why you you see them like cracking down so hard on it is because it's like some internalized hatreds against themselves for having those impulses. I think that's just my two cents. I'm not a trained therapist or anything like that.

That's another point that I was trying to make today that he's a cruel [ __ ] who likes to watch people suffering. That's why he put those videos out of the um that guy getting mauled by that uh tiger line or whatever it was in England. Even
that family even said like, "Please don't post this video." He [ __ ] posted it and then he made an AI version of it, like making a joke of it. for her like a real reckoning where she's like, "Oh my god, I can't believe I got duped and I was wrong." I think it may just be a slow bleed off of Magga with no apology, no accountability, and that's going to have to be good enough for me and Haley. Like as long as she's just out of it, I'm not expecting or demanding any kind of a, you know, oh my god, I can't believe I I was a part of that. I'm not expecting that. Uh what I am expecting is that eventually she just won't think about or talk about Trump as much. And I think I

I remember distinctly there were kids in my high school and this was a suburb of Dallas who would drive their [ __ ] Ford F whatevers with gun racks in the back window and [ __ ] guns in them and they would just like park it in school parking lot. No one gave a [ __ ] That's like how ubiquitous guns are, especially in
Texas. Um yeah, it's crazy that my mom has this attitude. It's like, well, you can't have gun laws. Huh? literally every other [ __ ] country does. It's insane that she doesn't get that. And this this kind of like predeterminism about how things can't change, bad things even like guns or any of the other kind of stuff that we talk about in terms of political policy and stuff. Uh that I don't get because to me the goal always is for humanity is utopia. We have to be moving toward utopia. And when you tell people that and they're like, "Well, that'll never happen. [ __ ] you." It's like, "Correct.
It never will if everyone believes that it cannot, but we have enough resources and um infrastructure in this exact moment to create a utopia for everyone. We could easily do it. All we have to do is stop putting money into the military and put it into services that give food and shelter and clothing to everyone, clean up the environment, etc., etc., etc. We have to get rid of profit motive. There there's a million things that have to be changed, but they can be and it they aren't just because there's the [ __ ] 0.01% of complete pieces of [ __ ] at the top of this financial food
chain. Taylor Swift is one of them. Who refuse to give the money back out, who refuse to use the position they have to help other people. They are using it to enrich themselves only. Um, and really, I mean, guns is a a small piece of this, strangely enough. The bigger piece of it is greed, which is a a direct result of the competitive impulse in the human animal. And I think that's something that we have to get rid of. Uh, personally, or like disincentivize, I should say. Um, where was I? Sorry, I flipped out.
