Hello. Hi. Hi, everyone. Uh, I believe my sister's going to be joining me momentarily, but thank you everybody for joining me. She's in quotes running up the stairs on her way. I don't know how many of you watched today's episode, today's show, but Jesus. Yes, there's hopeless heart in Texas as Obama running the country. So, I guess we I guess Trump isn't. And what happened to Biden? Exactly correct. I I don't know what to make of my dad when he says that [ __ ] like Obama's behind all this or behind that. It's like does he really think that? And and like where is that coming from? Is that on Newsmax or like I don't I haven't seen that take on any of this [ __ ] anywhere except from my dad. Um talking about uh you know how Obama's behind all of these these things. Love from the Netherlands at 3:00 a.m. says Story Crossing Studios. Oh, there's my sister. Let's get her in here. >> Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. >> Hi. >> Hi. switch up this little format thing here. There we go. Can you Can you see me? Can you hear me? >> Yeah, I can see you. Hear you? >> Little big back off from the camera. [laughter] Jesus Christ. >> Then I can't I can't [ __ ] read this far away. Okay, >> it's in your um in StreamYard. You have to go over to where it says comments and click on that in your sidebar and the comments will pop up big on the side for you. >> Okay, let me see it. >> No. >> Are you in StreamYard? >> Yes, I'm in [ __ ] Streamyard. >> Okay, if you look all the way to the >> Yeah, they're they are big, but like I I have to I got to back up [laughter] >> or just move your camera or something. >> Um, okay. >> This is good. Everybody, thank you so much. Um, oh, look at that. JT man 620. Hey Chad, is that a Lego DND mini mind flareer behind you? Well, yes, >> it is. [laughter] That's my Lego Dungeons and Dragons mind flare. Thank you very much for >> Thank you very much for noticing him there. Um, okay, here we go. Karina Karina 2023 says, "Why aren't you prepared most of the time to convince your parents that they're wrong?" Haley, >> uh, you can't convince them they're wrong. It's a moot point. It doesn't matter. Um, it is a lost cause. They're never wrong. They're never going to be wrong. So, I think what we do is chip away at them kind of slowly. I've seen our mom kind of come around, but like just >> I'm not sure you're on the right mic, just to let you know. >> I am. I'm just so far away from it. >> Oh, got it. That's just the echo. [laughter] >> Okay. >> I don't know. I'm gonna have to fix this for next time. But yeah, I'm uh really close. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. If I get far away, you can't hear me. I don't know. Convincing our parents they're wrong is never going to happen, so it doesn't matter. Um that's not why we do it. >> Yep. Totally agree. Oh man, I always forget. Okay, here we go. Here's one. Here's one. Thank you for $10. Um, hates stairs 4875. Do you think that the goalpost slash red line will keep shifting for your mom in regards to the Epstein files and Trump? >> Yes. Yeah. I No, I do. I think well I mean I don't know because they keep redacting [ __ ] but like if she could just see you know like him with a child in a suggestive manner like if she could just like get eyes on something that is concrete um it's over. >> I think there I don't even think it has to be concrete. I think there's a tonnage issue with her too that like if some of these scene files come out if all the black out pages get revealed and it's just like all Donald Trump. I think that would be enough. I really do think for my mom, the the Epstein ship, the pedophilia is like >> that's the line and they're hiding it well enough that she can kind of rationalize >> that, oh, he's not in there. It's not this is all [ __ ] He was an FBI informant, you know, all of this. >> But I think the time is coming when that will be not possible for her to do anymore. I think that will be her line, personally. Here's another one from Michael Pearson 7653. As an Iowa National Guard vet, we shouldn't be in Syria. >> Any of the soldiers who died and I'd rather they and my friends weren't there. >> Well, that's terrible. >> Thank you for your service and I mean, I agree. I I'm anti-war wherever it may be taking place, anti-human violence wherever it may be taking place or for whatever reasons. But I do think Trump is trying to um he's trying to provoke some largecale retaliation from Syria or Venezuela at this point. Who knows if he's going to try to start stirring [ __ ] up with some other country, but I think he wants to be a wartime president during his next election. And whatever war he initiates or or attempts to, I think he's going to keep running for the next three years. >> Correct. >> Here's one from Ray Cosby. There are YouTube videos of conservatives moving to Russia. Have you considered showing them to your father? I did not know that. Holy [ __ ] >> That's kind of hardcore. >> Yeah. I mean, Russia is a different place. Oh, it's a different place, brother. I haven't seen that, but I'll check that out. Maybe we should show that to dad. You think that would have any effect on him whatsoever? Why? >> I don't know. Maybe these [ __ ] people moving to Russia. >> I don't know. Probably not. I don't know. He doesn't care about much, I don't think. >> Yeah, >> probably not. >> Um, we got one from Smwani. I hope I'm saying that right. How do you reconcile praising Operation Warp Speed for rapid vaccine development while supporting antivax rhetoric that undermines trust in the same vaccines? What do you know what this is referring to? >> What is Operation Warp Speed? >> I don't know. Hang on. for rapid vaccine development while supporting antivax rhetoric. >> I mean, I don't support antivax rhetoric. I mean, I believe in vaccines. All of my children have been vaccinated. I am vaccinated. Like, we all get boosters and [ __ ] I believe in them. They work. So, I don't I guess I don't understand the question. >> I don't support antivax anything. It was a a government program basically to uh accelerate the development of co 19 vaccines. >> So I I I guess yeah I don't quite understand the question either. Is it is it like a rhetorical question and is it basically saying did our parents support operation warp speed? I'm very confused by this. I'm sorry. I don't quite understand the question but I agree with Haley. I'm all for vaccines >> um of any and all kinds. >> Ray Cosby here says, "What Oops. What was your father like before Trump became president?" >> Uh, still conservative, still angry, but I would definitely say it has escalated since 2016. So, um, >> yeah, >> like the hatred, the anger, like all this vile [ __ ] that you guys see on the pod that didn't really exist prior to 2016. >> Like, yes, you know, the the overt racism and um, you know, kind of, I guess, blatant transphobia. He didn't even know what trans people were prior to Donald Trump. But >> um the hatred and just like the vile behaviors that you guys see that did not exist prior to 2016. >> Yeah. I remember the first time really being like whoa was during Obama >> Mhm. >> second term maybe or maybe even first. I don't I don't remember exactly. I just remember being in their house and he was screaming in my face. >> Yeah. >> About Obama. >> Yeah. And I was just like, "Uh, can we watch the baseball game?" Like, it was wild, you know? Like I It was something I didn't even bring up the topic. I just remember him like getting your [ __ ] Obama's going to destroy this country and and just screaming at me and I was like, "All right, [laughter] [gasps] happy birthday or Merry Christmas, you know, whatever the [ __ ] holiday was I was back for." >> Yeah. >> Um, but yeah, he was he was not >> not unlike himself. He just was a lessened kind of version. Here is one from 74 Driver. Thank you, 74 Driver. How do you guys feel about the verbal abuse from your dad? You guys have more patience than I do. >> Well, I'm 44 years old and I have been verbally abused my whole life. So, [laughter] how do I feel about it? Um, [laughter] I got the thickest skin you'll ever [ __ ] see. Okay. Uh, there ain't [ __ ] anybody can say to me on this interwebs that will [ __ ] affect me. All right. Um, raised in a household where uh, you know, you either you either had to you crumble under it or you get stronger from it. And so I feel like um, >> you can't do [ __ ] to me. This internet, whatever. [ __ ] say what you got. Rapid fire. It doesn't matter. My own father said the worst [ __ ] you can imagine to me as like an adolescent. Um, >> yeah. It was definitely like trial by fire our entire child entire childhoods. >> Yeah. >> Um it really has become like I mean you see it in the show. We just kind of ignore most of what he says >> and I think that is a >> a coping mechanism both of us developed very early on as children. >> Um here is one from Joe the schmo number two. Chad you comparing your dad to Gretchen Weiner from Mean Girls was the highlight. [laughter] stop trying to make communist happen. Lee just kept saying it. Or sometimes in in a episode he'll do stuff like that where he'll just be like out of nowhere, China. He'll just say like >> stuck on it. >> Yeah. >> Just stuck. >> It just reminded me of Lacy Shaw Bear's timeless performance in that uh epic film. We have one here from side of the Ham 420. Start a series where you take your parents outside of Oklahoma. >> Never going to happen. >> God, I want to do it so bad. I would love to take them on a little like summer tour to some different big cities around America. Take them to LA. Take them to New York. Hit a couple of the red state big cities too. They can show us around. Whatever. You know, I would love to do something. >> I was trying to convince them to like take a family trip to Germany or some [ __ ] I thought maybe we could get dad to like, you know, the motherland. Like maybe he would do that. Uh but I don't know. >> They're not leaving the house. Yeah. >> Forever. That's it. >> I I [ __ ] hate it. I know. It's sad. Um, but yeah, we have attempted to do this. The last time >> they came to see me was >> 15 years ago, probably whenever that movie was coming out, Men, Women, and Children. You guys came, you all came out here for that. We went to the director's guild and the >> premiere and all of that. And I think they had fun because they got to meet some actors and, you know, I think they enjoyed it. >> Well, I think mom wants to travel. She's just like bound now, you know, like the caregiver. So, um 100% I don't know. I'll probably try to get >> uh Conrad to babysit dad and like maybe we can take mom somewhere. >> Now that's We got to get a camera to Conrad for that one. I need to see a full video of that [ __ ] weekend. [laughter] Conrad and dad just >> But but he likes him. Like they just talk about KState football. >> Yeah, he he's the golden child um of all of us. He's the golden child. So, >> um, Conrad, for those who don't know, is Haley's husband, >> right? >> Okay, let's move to this is one from, um, Ceda Rad. I know I don't know how to pronounce this. I think it's Cedar R. Have you guys watched Plurabus? What do you think, Haley? Have you seen this show? >> No. What is it >> on Apple television? You know, Vince Gilligan who created Breaking Bad. >> Mhm. [clears throat] >> It's his current show. I have seen every episode. I'm current. Um, I have very mixed feelings about it. The the premise is extremely interesting. Um, episode one, this is not a spoiler. This is the premise of the show. Episode one, a deep space signal is discovered. We start to decode it and it we make like a virus with it. Basically, the virus gets loose in the human population and it links everyone's minds together. So there is no more individuality except for a handful of people like 12 people are unaffected by it and the other people don't know why. >> But the people whose minds are linked are super benevolent. They're vegan and they're just like we're going to make a completely efficient society now with no war, no money. Yeah. Basically, right? >> But the main character >> is this woman who's an author of pirate novels and she's like, "Fuck this. [ __ ] all of you. This is bullshit." And you're just like, but why? And she's mad constantly. One note. This is the part that I hate about that premise is fascinating. >> The execution of it is terrible. It's shot like [ __ ] which is strange because I think Breaking Bad was one of the most visually one of the most beautiful shows ever made. >> Yeah. >> Um there's no character development. It none of it makes sense. None of the characters are acting out of actual motivation. I think it has massive problems with a really interesting premise. Um, but I will watch all of it because I'm curious to see where it goes. >> I'll probably go watch that. It sounds pretty good. >> Yeah, it's interesting. I I'd be curious to see what you think, too. I just hate the main character. She's like so angry all the time and like, yeah, I write these books that I don't even like them anymore. And it's like, well, then why >> Who are the big names? >> None. >> Okay. >> Uh, are there No, there's none. Um, oh, here's from Smartwani. Sorry, last vaccine question was for your parents. Ah, I see. Well, >> yeah. >> I we can only answer theoretically for them. Um, >> they're against the jab, but they got us vacated. So, it's >> I mean, we even got flu shots and [ __ ] It wasn't just like the bare minimum. It was like you're getting flu shots every cold flu season. So, uh, the shift happened, I think, with Donald Trump. >> Yes. They certainly were not anti-science. No prior to Trump. That is a a new addition to their psychological profiles post Trump. >> Yeah. >> Here's one from Meowison. I think that's right. Maybe that's a cat reference. If Marylu will not concede to Trump in the Epstein files if more proof leaks, will you consider her a lost cause or continue trying? >> Always gonna try. Yeah. >> There is no such thing as a lost cause because if you This is just my opinion obviously. Everyone out there, every human being on planet Earth has to decide their own kind of boundaries and relationship rules for whoever's in your life, parents, friends, any kind of loved ones who may be MAGA or maybe left or or whatever the divide is in your political or ideological views. You decide what is good for you. For me, uh if you think anyone's a lost cause, that's it. That's the end game. >> Yeah. >> You >> But it just means you'll never talk to that human being again, right? And I firmly believe Pluribus style, the only way we can have a utopia is if we are all working together and we all at least understand each other's differences and can still have a conversation about it. You know, >> you're you're more hopeful than I am because there are some people like, "Fuck you. I write you off." Like mom and dad are there's nuance to that for me. >> I am definitely not going to [ __ ] with other manga. >> Mha. [ __ ] you. Don't even look at me. I'm not going to give you the time a day. >> Um because you know the ideologies that these people carry around are dangerous. >> You know it is a danger to other people. So I want nothing to do with you. Um I don't believe that we'll ever form a utopia. I don't think that's ever going to happen. >> It must. >> It won't. >> So you believe that the human race is destined for complete decimation, destruction? >> Yeah, I do. >> Then what are you even doing? I mean >> what am I doing? I'm living my life. I'm living out the rest of my I think I'm going to be a centurion. So, I'm going to live out the rest of my 60 plus years. >> Okay. Yeah. I'm not saying it'll happen in our lifetimes. But I do think if all human beings think utopia is impossible, it will never happen. So, at the very least, I'm going to keep the dream alive, you know. >> Well, you're you're always going to have moms and dads. You're always going to have the adversarial adversarial side. >> It's just always going to exist. I don't think that's true. There are vast structural changes that can happen in humanity that can make that can solve that. Basically, getting rid of money is one of the biggest ones. Um, that has to happen eventually. >> When will that happen? >> I don't know. >> When will you wear wigs? >> When will what? >> Have you never seen that? Will you wear wigs? >> No. [laughter] >> Have you worn wigs? >> No. >> When will you wear wigs? You don't know what I'm talking about. >> I don't know what you're talking Elijah Wood and Dominic Monahan. They're doing like this interview. Elijah Wood does not know it's Dominic Monahan and they can't see each other. >> And Dominic Monahan puts on a thick German accent and he's interviewing him about movies and he's like, "Have you worn wigs?" >> Oh, I see. >> And Elijah Wood's like, "Uh, no. When will you wear wigs?" Maybe. >> When will you wear wigs? And then Elijah Wood just like cracks up. >> I don't think I've seen it. I'll look for this. It's viral. >> I'm just saying that I I think there is a utopian version of our society. It has, in my opinion, on a kind of philosophical level, it has to do with getting rid of competition, which I know is ingrained in us as as beings, you know, >> but I think we can fast approach a time in humanity when we have enough resources and labor is costless basically either through AI or robotics or something like this that um everybody can have everything they need. We need to get rid of the mentality that like a billionaire class should even exist or that there should really be any large disparity between the very bottom and the very top. It it all needs to be >> squished into the middle. You know what I mean? >> Yeah. I guess you're more hopeful than I am. >> That it has to happen. This system that we're in now where all the money is getting sucked to the top and you've got like a handful of people controlling everything. It is not sustainable. you start to see the bottom just starts falling away and then it's mass chaos and then they come for the rich eat the rich that that will happen I think uh the more severe the system gets it's like right now the people in the middle which are you and me and mom and dad and maybe a bunch of people listening to this >> right >> um we have our Netflix we have our baby Yodas and our NFLs and our bachelors and all this [ __ ] and that keeps us pretty plated >> as long as that stuff is enough to entertain us and divert us. >> We aren't looking at like what really is going on here. >> And I think I don't know how long that [ __ ] can last. >> You know what I mean? >> Well, I mean, our country is uh you know, France is out here spraying [ __ ] all over the politician's houses. You know what I'm saying? And we're just like, I don't know. Like, they're doing [ __ ] >> Yeah. >> We're doing nothing. >> I know. I know. It's uh very depressing. Moving on. Mexican Titi asks, "Have your parents taken the Have your parents take the political compass test?" I don't know what that is, but I assume it is a test you take, answer some questions, and it tells you where you are on a political compass spectrum. All right, I'll look into that. Wedding cake of the of Tui >> of toy >> says, "Your dad reminds me of Don Veto from Viva Lab. [laughter] >> [snorts] >> Oh, [ __ ] [laughter] I think he's dead, isn't he? Didn't he die? >> Uh, maybe. Or maybe the dad did. >> I thought his dad did. >> Yeah. Mexican titi. Right on the money there. Or sorry, wedding cake of toy. Right on the money there. Uh, here is one from Luto. Do you remember when your parents started supporting Trump? I remember traveling around California in 2015 and seeing the Trump shops and it was still a meme at that point. Love from Australia. >> It was during his campaign, I guess, when he campaigned. >> Yeah. >> Prior to that, like they didn't ever talk about Donald Trump as a businessman. They didn't watch him on The Apprentice. >> That's not true. Dad, when I was a little kid, you were too. I think you were alive at that point. >> What? >> Yeah, cuz I must have been like eight or so. You were a little kid. He somehow he was working with some guy who worked for Trump and he got me an autographed copy of Art of the Deal [clears throat] >> somewhere that book is probably still in their [ __ ] house and this was >> ah >> 30 years ago you know. >> Okay. >> Um >> Right. Right. >> At any rate, >> yeah, it was sometime I mean they knew who he was but I don't like they weren't like they are now. It wasn't this [ __ ] cult. >> No. >> If anything dad probably thought he was stupid. I think >> he had his copy of that book with Dionetics just sitting on the coffee table. >> You remember that? Why are we not Scientologists? Can you imagine that? >> Cuz he doesn't read a [ __ ] book. He bought that book and then never read it. He had >> uh what was it? Scientolo Dietetics. >> Dionetics. >> He had Dionetics. I remember that too. >> I remember just being like, "What the [ __ ] is this?" Not knowing what Scientology was or anything at that point. We were little kids. >> But yeah, he had [ __ ] Dionetics. Never read it 100%. >> Um, here is one from Shannon V1V that reads, "Chad, your mom should name THE PUPPY LITTLE COMMIE IN ON HER." >> UH, [laughter] I think they might be giving little Tommy a new home. >> They're not going to keep him. >> No. Mom texted me tonight and was like, "I can't do this [ __ ] Do you know anybody?" So, >> I think I'm hooking up little Tommy with a a a new home. >> Forever home. That's a cute ass dog, I gotta say. >> Cute, but not ready. >> I agree. Here is Jcast 2550. Maryl said that she would be okay with those brought here as children staying as long as they swear in a court. Does she know it's not that simple? >> They don't know. >> Yeah, they got no [ __ ] idea how any of this [ __ ] works. They have no idea how immigration works. They think they don't [snorts] know. They really don't know. >> Yeah. It's brutal, too, because you see what's going on where like ICE is showing up at court hearings and stuff. People doing their immigration process legally by the book every step that they are told to do, they are doing. And then at one of those steps, there they just get detained and deported. One lady's husband just uh died in ICE custody and he got his paperwork like two months later. >> Jesus Christ. >> Yeah, >> it's brutal. But yes, to answer your question, they ain't got no [ __ ] idea. Um >> Lean 9408. Oh, just a $2. >> Hell yeah, brother. >> Thank you. D Mooney, California 324 says, "Haley, hope you're feeling better." >> I'm about 90%. I'm not gonna lie. I bounced back. I treated death. [laughter] >> It's wild. That [ __ ] is wild. Before, too. >> How? Oh, cancer. >> Yeah, >> you got You got cancer. I got sepsis. >> That's [ __ ] I mean, and for what it was, a [ __ ] ingrown hair >> on my ass cheek. Yeah. I just thought it was like a pimple at first and then it kept getting a little bit bigger and then like really sore and it got to the point where I was like I don't think I can sit down. I just ignored [ __ ] because I'm like busy at work and Cedub was like you need to probably go get that checked out. And I went to sleep that night woke up with a fever. >> Woke up with a fever and like I said I can't. There's something wrong with me. I was dizzy and shaking and I was in septic shock. Oh >> [ __ ] Oh god. That's so brutal. I can't believe you [ __ ] >> like it hurt so bad you couldn't [ __ ] sit down and you were like ah [ __ ] it. I'll just get over Yeah. Well, I mean stand up. I know. You know they say like women have uh higher pain tolerance and thresholds and [ __ ] >> Yeah. >> I believe it. I mean like I've given birth three times and broken bones and torn ACLs and I don't know. So like pain is just pain. like when you endure a period every month like with terrible cramps and just ache pain like you endure and so that's just what I do >> and I thought it's just one of these times >> but a giant [ __ ] lump in your flesh I mean take it from me >> you don't want to let that [ __ ] go just in case >> Yeah. Yeah. Well now I never will again. >> What if they would had to cut off your ass? >> Then I'd have one less butt cheek. >> Jesus. >> Yeah. >> Um KW right. Thank you, [clears throat] Auggie Z65. Mary Lou always says she hasn't seen that. I [clears throat] think you guys should get her subscription to the ground to ground News for six months to see if any of our ideas change. [laughter] I should hit them up. They, you know, they sponsor our show, Ground News. I do little commercials for them on our Instagram. >> Nice. [snorts] >> I bet I could, uh, let me talk to them and see. Maybe me and mom can make a special video where I teach her how to use it because it is it's a cool [ __ ] app. It shows like you can type in any news story you want and it shows like percentage-wise if it's covered on the left, right, center, and then you can compare headlines and [ __ ] and it'll the left will be like uh >> you know Pam Bondi only releases 2% of the Epstein files and then the right headline will be like >> Trump triumphantly releases the Epstein files exposing all the [laughter] [ __ ] >> I actually think it would I do think it would make a difference. I think if she had a different news source, >> like if we could sneak it in there and she didn't know, I think it would change. >> Maybe, but I also think dad's influence and his inability to break from Newsmax and [ __ ] it's never going to change. No. >> As long as dad is there in any significant way. She might, her mind might change, but she can't like be overt about it around him, I think. >> Yeah. >> I don't know. >> I don't know. Smwani says, "Um, can you do a deep dive on 2028 candidates with them?" Yes, I bet we will do that when it gets closer to the time, especially when it starts coming up, like the debates and stuff. >> Yeah, >> for both parties. I remember we've done that in the past. >> Um, we did it in the 20 the the most recent election. >> I really hope AOC runs. That's going to like destroy dad >> if she wins. >> If she runs like he's going to [ __ ] end. >> Yeah. like just going >> Well, let me ask you this. Do you think Do you think there's going to be a free and fair election? >> No, >> I don't either. >> Nope. >> [ __ ] >> And especially him trying to start a war and [ __ ] right now. >> Yeah. Just all that [ __ ] that he said about the last election where he was like, "Elon knows the >> Yeah. >> All that [ __ ] I read some [ __ ] article the other day that said there are some people in the Senate looking into investigating Elon Musk and the election and and how he might have influenced >> Great. Yeah. No, I don't. >> Yeah, I don't either, really. Um, here's one from Garen Douglas 9084. I'm half black and half white and constantly caught in the middle of my leftist dad and Republican mom's divorced rants about politics. I know you guys feel >> uh that's bad. >> That's I'm sorry. Sorry you're going through that. Power through. The good news is this. We will not have Trump in office for the remainder of our lifetimes. We may have to deal with the fallout of him having been in office twice during our lifetimes, >> but it will get, I think, better. I just can't see it getting like worse. I I don't think the Republicans have another Trump. I think what Bannon said is right. He's like a once in a-lifetime kind of >> weird cult leader guy who can do this. I just don't see any other politician being able to. >> Yeah. Not on the right. I AOC has like a cult of personality. She does. >> Not like him though. It's not the same. She's not an authoritarian. >> True. But I think that she can command it. I think she has enough like presence that she could win. >> JD Vance like nobody cares about him. >> Yeah. >> Mom and dad don't even care about him. I >> I agree. He's He's very dull. >> Yeah. >> Um this is coming from side of the ham 420. 420. Haley, are you teaching your kids about politics? >> I Yeah. I mean, they've been raised in a home completely aware of what's going on in the world. My kids are, I would say, like deeply involved in politics. They know what's going on. They know how they feel, where they stand. Um, I can't, which [snorts] is weird because when I was their age, didn't give a [ __ ] Like, at 16, >> I don't even know if I knew who the [ __ ] vice president was. >> Yep. My kids know about [ __ ] policies that are happening by the state, not just on a federal level, but like on state levels. They know where they want to live when they grow up and where they don't want to live. I mean, it's they're very involved with politics, which is a an unusual thing, I think, for children um to get involved so early in life. >> We got to get one of them or all of them on the show. >> I don't want them on the show. >> All right, never mind. >> Well, what about Roman? He's of age. He can make his own choices. >> Yeah. Yeah. You can ask and they can do it if they want, but I would prefer they don't. >> All right. Um, moving on. C. Da R says, "How long do you think it will take to unfuck our country? I'm in women's healthcare and a new gut punch every day is so depressing. >> Two two, three decades." >> I don't think so. I think it's going to be way faster than you think >> because when the Democrats come back in or or whatever non-Trump version of government exists, I think there is going to be like a liberal version of project 2025 that is just like undo it all >> and I think that will be done all or at least those things we put in motion in the first year of of whatever the new administration is. I think it's going to be way quicker than than any of us can do. >> But what about the Supreme Court? I mean, like that's a huge factor in changing all these things. >> But hear me out. All those [ __ ] he put into the Supreme Court when he's gone, I don't think they vote the same way. >> I hope >> I think they they revert back to like, okay, let's do a kinder, gentler. Let's really go by like what is the law? >> Yeah, I maybe I'm stupid. Maybe I'm like too [ __ ] hopeful in this [ __ ] I don't know. That's my thoughts. Um, moving on. This is from K. Van Winkle, 777 out here in Oklahoma. Curious what your parents thought about Ryan Walters before he ran away to Texas this year. Do you know Ryan Walters? >> Do you know this? I don't know this. Let me Google this real quick. >> Ryan Walters, former Oklahoma State Superintendent of Public Administration. >> Oh, okay. He came to Texas. >> Strikes down controversial social studies standards. >> He made them carry Bibles in like all the classrooms. >> Yes, I do know this guy. >> Yeah. Yeah. He went to Texas, I guess. >> Great. Terrific. Another one. Another one for us. >> This is from uh November. The Oklahoma Supreme Court dismissed a lawsuit filed against former state school superintendent Ryan Walters um over a Bible teaching mandate. So, yeah, good luck. [laughter] Good luck to Texas. >> Jesus Christ. It really is like the worst state. Like Texas and Florida when it comes to education, minorities, the LGBTQ community, women, like all of it. [ __ ] subpar. Okay. >> Yeah. >> Like women are dying here on a daily basis just because they can't get medical care. >> Yeah, it ain't great. Um, >> cheers. >> One a Jean, thank you. Uh, Scorpio 292U. My dad was my hero before Trump, but has fallen so deep in the rabbit hole. MAGA, your dad and my dad lack the empathy, compassion they raised us to have. Keep the conversations going, hoping one day they will see the light. Thank you very much. >> Uh, Scorpio, I remember a time in my own life when my dad was my best friend. We literally did everything together when I was maybe like 10, 11, 12 in that area. >> Yeah. >> Collected baseball cards, went to baseball games, play. I mean, it was all baseball related, but nonetheless, we hung out basically every day all day. Me, too. When he was at work, >> we played, you know, I'd get home from softball practice, he put me in the car to go practice softball. Like, we were never not >> spending time with dad. Oh, it was >> abusive and it was [laughter] um and it was like >> and it was sports related, but like you know, growing up um I mean [ __ ] like when I went off to college, I had a really hard time. I went at mid semester. I graduated high school early, went off like December master to college and I didn't know anybody because I went to a completely different state and I knew no one. I would wake up in the morning and call dad crying and say, "I don't know if I can do this." >> You would call dad from homesickness. >> Yes. And he would tell me, >> "You can do this. Get the [ __ ] up. Go to your [ __ ] class. You can do this." What? Like when I when I think about all that [ __ ] but like I think I did call him because I knew that he would like, you know, >> deal with it. >> Yeah. >> And it got me up and it got me out. >> Wow. I remember I had homesickness when I went to college for about two or three days and then I was like, "Oh, no. This is great. This is way better." >> Mine mine lasted a lot longer, but once [laughter] once I realized like I wasn't going to die, then it was it was good. Yeah. Um, moving on to TJ Gamer9713. Hey Chad and Haley, I'm a leftist child of a Trump supporter. Parents who are not as insane as your parents. I just want to say I'm glad you are okay Haley. P.S. Those Epstein files are wild, huh? >> I mean, what Epstein files? We ain't even got them. >> Yeah, redact. Redact. Uh, >> I like it. It I put today the title that I put on our video was something like the biggest criminal conspiracy in America or something. Cover up. Criminal cover up. I I believe that's absolutely true. They're literally covering up >> Yes. >> criminal evidence of a pedophile ring of billionaires that the president is implicated in. >> The Department of Justice is literally covering it up before our eyes, issuing documents that are completely blacked out. Hundreds of them. >> YEAH. >> DELETING FILES OFF THE [ __ ] WEBSITE. IT'S AND it's like nobody Everybody's just like, "Well, that's crazy. Anyway, what's coming up on Baby Yoda tomorrow?" It's [ __ ] insane. It is. It should be everything that everyone is talking about. And because we are all so desensitized by living in like this idiocracy, it's become common place. >> Like, oh yeah, there's a [ __ ] pedophile in the White House, but like what are you going to do about it? >> I don't know. I don't know. But yes, it's crazy. And uh I'm happy to hear that your Trump supporting parents aren't as insane as ours. I tend to think, [laughter] yeah, I know that there are like, you know, varying degrees of engagement of a Trump supporter, of a MAGA person or a person who is self-p profofessed MAGA, >> but I tend to think that our parents are probably somewhere in the average. I like I've definitely met crazier MAGA than our parents. >> Yeah. And like >> people who are like deep on >> Yeah. And also like religious like going to the mega churches and all that [ __ ] And our parents aren't. Despite the fact that my mom our mom says she's Christian and all this [ __ ] they're I don't think they're really religious. They're not. They're not. >> I agree with you 100%. I don't know if it's like fear of impending death or it's just part of the MAGA ideology that they have to say they are. I don't I don't know. I don't know what the answer is exactly, but I agree with you. I don't think they're actually religious. >> No. >> This one comes to us from Zack Jags 9761. The thing about utopia is it looks different for every person. Your utopia isn't mine. And no, it does not have to happen. The world doesn't work like that. Thank you for the disagreement, Zack Jags. Um, of course, everybody's utopia is different, but I'm I'm saying utopia in that there is no more poverty. There is no more war. There is no more need for human violence outside of like the aberration of psychopaths killing people and stuff. Um, that's essentially no discrimination, that type of thing, uh, is what I view a utopia as. Obviously, everybody has their own personal interests and >> things they like or don't like or whatever. >> Um, >> but and and I think it's possible to hit this. I truly do. >> It's just a matter of reallocating resources. [snorts] >> Okay. I don't think I'll ever see it, but okay. Dab Mastersonson 145 says, "Bro, have you not looked into the dark technocracy? The tech oligarchs want us to be slaves to them." Yes, I have. You're talking about the what is it called? The something renaissance. Do you know what I'm talking about, Haley? >> No. Is this like Peter Teal [ __ ] or what? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Peter Teal. >> Who's that [ __ ] who's the [ __ ] Samman? Dark Enlightenment. >> The bozo that came on the talk show and he was talking about like I don't know how you raise a [ __ ] kid without chat GBT. Jesus Christ. >> Yeah, >> that whole thing was just nauseating. >> I agree. Yes, I I have looked into this and Palunteer is kind of at the forefront of it. That company that is an AI company that has all these government contracts. They're using their AI technology to target people in wars, drone strikes, etc., etc. And yeah, there's a handful of these uh tech bro billionaires that are basically like we are going to enslave everyone with social media. >> They're all a part of it. Zuckerberg, they're all a part of it. >> Um so yes, I have looked into it. What are we going to do about it? You know, >> I don't know. >> D Mooney, California 323 says, "Why does your dad just scream nonsense all the time? [laughter] Why does he think Obama is the evil overlord of everything?" >> Because who else is he to blame? I don't know. like there's no one else, you know, Joe Biden's out and uh I don't He's just angry. He is just angry. At first, I thought it was pain from like his hip or whatever, but I think he's just angry. >> I think he's an angry person. >> Well, I think it stems from like a true depression. I think he's like clinically depressed. When he quit working, he just quit. >> Like everything just kind of came to a halt >> and now he doesn't know how to process like he isn't as mobile as he used to be. He isn't. His purpose in life is gone because he's not working. So, he's just [ __ ] miserable. >> Yeah, I agree with that. And I also think there's a little bit of fear of death sprinkled on top of everything. >> Mhm. >> As there is with all of us. But yeah, I wish he didn't. I wish he was more coherent seemingly when we first started this podcast. But that's also when he was working. >> Yeah. Yeah. I think >> I think you're right. The retirement [ __ ] him up. >> His mind is slowly kind of like deteriorating because he's not he's not moving. He's not using it. >> I agree. Kim HR Guru says, "A professional DP programmer might help if parents uh willing or intervention." I agree. Set it up. Kim HR guru. I've been trying to get a therapist to come on our show and it's like the scheduling is just a [ __ ] nightmare. I don't have time for it. I've gone down that road a little bit with some people and then it's like, well, I can do this day or this day, but I can't actually do therapy because I'm not licensed in this state and all this. And I'm just like, >> we record on Sundays at this time. I, you know, there's no way I'm going to be able to get mom and dad to like >> reschedule or whatever, >> right? But I am I I am hopeful in 2026 we might have some more and different guests. Elcottton 8788, thank you. Anthony T1989 says, "Did your dad really just say that the reason that the files were blocked out is because they are hiding Obama's name, so Trump is covering for Obama?" Yes, he did. >> Yeah, it's accurate. >> Nobody understands it. >> Yeah. I mean, it's either that or my mom thinks that Trump was an FBI informant, >> right? [laughter] >> Uh gathering information on Epstein to bring him down. Like, their rationale for his name being in the files, >> it's [ __ ] insane. Uh, Dark Sunray says, "In a nice way, heart, do you think they're just choosing to not think or make a choice sometimes? I think your family is really important and common." Um, yeah. I mean, I think they've made their choice, which is we're on this side >> and so anything that challenges that to them is wrong. even if that means that they have to spin some wild [ __ ] fantasies about Barack Obama being in the Estate Files. >> But this but this is like part of their personality. And I think people don't understand that because we've grown up with them. But this isn't just political. It's been our whole lives. There is no they're they're not wrong. They cannot admit wrongdoing. They are not wrong. And so uh it's not new territory for us. It's just that it's become overtly political, I think, over the last, you know, five, six years or whatever. >> Yeah, I 100% agree >> from Caramel Cold Brew. You two need to get clear. >> Schedule a sesh. Grab the cans. [laughter] >> You know what? >> I did this once when I this was when I was in college. my friends and I I had never been to the to um >> Scientology >> Hollywood Boulevard Walk of Fame and so a couple my friends and I took a bus from USC to Hollywood and we were walking around and there's a Scientology center on Hollywood Boulevard and they had people out front doing E-meter readings to like anybody walking by to try and ensl So I sat down and I did it. I grabbed the cans as they say and there's a little needle going back and forth and they asked you what do you think is the biggest problem in the world right now? That was a question asked of me and I said that people don't take robotics seriously as a science that's going to revolutionize the world. This was in 1999 something like this you know and they told me to leave. They were like if you don't take this seriously you have to leave. Good day sir. And I was like, "What? The [ __ ] dude who created your religion wrote science fiction books. Give me a huh." [clears throat] >> Anyway, >> shout out Tom Cruz. >> Um, Marisy says, "Chad and Haley, what are three things you could do to be nicer to your parents? You need to be nicer to your parents. Much nicer. Glad to see you survived. What could we do to be nicer to them?" >> Jesus. >> Um, >> well, I'm going to tell you what. I'm pretty [ __ ] nice, okay? The old man broke the hip. I went home and I helped. Um, anytime they need help, I go back and I help. I call our mother almost daily to chat with her about life. Um, I feel like I'm pretty [ __ ] kind to our parents. So, I'm going to go ahead and say I'm already [ __ ] nice. >> Yeah, I don't think I'm too bad to him either. Um, how could I be nicer, though? Three things. Like, [ __ ] I don't know. >> I guess I could laugh less. >> You could call more. Call mom more. >> I should call dad every day. >> Call dad. I should call him every day and secret secretly record the [ __ ] [laughter] >> Call dad. Yeah, >> call him every day. Hey, what's up? What in the [ __ ] do you want? >> I remember. >> Go ahead. You go. You go. You tell yours. [laughter] >> Yeah. I called him one year for it was either Father's Day or his birthday. Hello. Hello. >> Cuz we don't talk to dad on the phone. Like it's quite rare. Um even a text is kind of rare. Uh hello. I was like, "Happy birthday, Dad." All right. >> Yeah. All right. I was gonna say that was literally the exact same story I was going to tell. >> That's it. That's all you get. >> Your kids are like that, too. I call them on their birthdays. Hey, did you do something anything fun for your birthday? No. >> Yeah. They >> They literally just like grunt and [ __ ] at me and I'm like, "Well, okay. Is that Gen Z?" >> This is a generational thing. Like a lot of that >> Yeah. >> age gap. >> [ __ ] off with the phone. They will not talk on the phone. >> Um, they'll text all [ __ ] day, but there no talking. >> There you go. Maybe dad's Gen Z. Sue's Alaska. Thank you very much. >> Hey, >> fantastic. Gavin Young 8084. I live in Oklahoma and turns out live down the street from Shiny. >> Oh, >> would your parents be receptive to questions from a local OK Oklahoma? probably not in person, but you can send in your questions to necessary conversation atg necessary conversationpodgmail.com. >> Uh, and I'll go through them all. >> 74 Driver says, "Do you have a ground news code or link we can use to give you credit?" Yes, it is. [ __ ] It's groundnews.comtnc the necessary conversation. >> No, wait, that may not be right. Hang on. >> Jesus Christ. >> Hang on. [laughter] God, >> I'm so sorry. One moment. Let me just um type this in. It is going to be >> This is like the [ __ ] Leo DiCaprio movie. What's that movie called that he just had come out? I just watched it. I can't remember the name. >> I just watched the first um [laughter] 50 minutes of it or something. >> It's groundnews.comnctp necessary conversation podcast. brown newsw.comnncp. I'm gonna get through the rest of it. I was kind of like, what the [ __ ] is this, but everybody says it's so good. >> No, I really liked it. I thought it was good. It's like quite relevant. The [ __ ] like happening in the world today. Like it was really relevant. It was good. >> Yeah, I'll keep watching the rest of it. I just when I got to the part like in the first one minute where >> Sean Penn has a boner and you see it, I was like, what is this? [laughter] >> Um, okay. >> Code Jinx, thank you very much. Um, Justin P248, I went back and rewatched all the episodes your dad has interrupted interrupted over 2700 times. More than 1,800. >> I like that. >> Holy [ __ ] >> Thank you for doing the work. >> That is the Lord's work right there. I mean, and totally believable. I'd actually say 18 times per episode seems low to me. >> Yeah. >> Jesus Christ, though. Uh, Matthew Kennales 2089. Do your parents trust Trump government more or Pope Coulchin? Do you think since they are older they have nothing left to learn? We actually asked my dad if he what he is here to learn and he said nothing. I already learned it all. So I don't think he he thinks he has anything to learn and he did say because of his age. And do your parents trust Trump government more or family? I don't know. >> I >> maybe we'll ask him that next week. >> I think the family and I think mom still has things to learn. >> Yeah. >> I think that she's more receptive to things. I think like as my kids are getting older, like their whole lives are going to play out before my parents' eyes. And yeah, >> you know, this is a different world and different kinds of relationships and where you want to go in life. Like mom has a lot to learn. I think she's receptive to it. >> I do too. And I think she would enjoy it. I think she would like going to new places and seeing new [ __ ] >> Yeah. >> Uh, we'll get her there. El Cotton 8788, thank you very much. Comics with Buler. Buler, has your mom or dad ever changed your mind on anything political for better or worse? The Dune books in the background. Thumbs up. Thank you very much. Um, God, have they did you see Timy Shimy is not SD Kid? >> Yeah, he is. >> No, he's not. >> I thought I saw a video where he is. is where he reveals. >> He's No, he's duetting with SD Kid. He did his shitty part of the rap and then SD Kid did his part of the rap. >> Okay. >> Anyway, Dune Oh. >> Um, have they ever changed our mind? >> No. >> About anything politically? >> No. >> Yeah, not really. Um, I want to say this right now. Thank you to everybody who has given us some donations here for the questions and everything. Please stop doing that right now because we're going to end this in 10 minutes or so, however long it takes us to get through the rest of these, but please stop um giving us money. We appreciate it sincerely, but we're we're going to try again and and end this whole thing here in about 10 minutes. So, I'm just going to get through the remainder of all the the things that people have uh have donated money to us, and then we're going to call it a night. Navy. >> I thank you once again for um all of the the gifts, but please stop doing that right now. All right. >> Navy. >> Shannon Kerry 9048 says, "Surprise Mary Lou wasn't upset about Michael Jackson the pics." I know. >> Why didn't you bring that up? You should have shown it. >> You didn't bring it up. >> Maybe on Wednesday. Are you going to do Wednesday or is it me and mom? >> Uh, no. I'll be home Wednesday. We're done at the bakery on Tuesday. Okay, I'll be here Wednesday. >> Okay, maybe we'll do Wait, Wednesday? Is that Christmas? >> No, Wednesday is Christmas Eve and then we should all sing a Michael Jackson song. >> Okay, >> I'm going to make a change. >> That's the one I was thinking of, too. Tonight I'm gonna make a difference. [laughter] >> Okay, we'll do it. Man in the mirror. Um, [ __ ] Where was that? My Michael Jackson took me out of it. This is from Joe the Schmo. [snorts] When will you guys whip out Bob's 2025 predictions? I I have a whole list of his predictions that he's made over the past couple years. some of which have actually come true or like close to it. >> Um, some of them very far off. My favorite one that he said is not even political. He said this like two years ago, I think the NFL will not exist in 10 years. [laughter] >> Okay. All right. >> It's of all the sporting leagues, it's the biggest, >> right, >> in terms of revenue by like two times basically. >> And they're trying to expand, you know, internationally. So, of course, uh Justin P248 says, "And your mom has been the victim over 200 times." Wow. 200 victimization plays. >> Believe that. >> That's pretty good. >> She deals with a lot. She puts up with a lot. Like, people don't uh quite know. But, you know, whenever our dad goes down and he has to go get surgery and all this [ __ ] like, she's the only one doing it. Like, it's a lot of [ __ ] work. I don't know. It's It's hard. >> Yeah, absolutely. I appreciate her for doing it. Shetzar says, "I saw that Hive made a badass Krampus cake using artist Brahms Krampus." >> If you ever want to use any of my artwork for your cakes, I would be honored. >> I So I follow you um on Instagram and I [ __ ] love >> Yeah, I love your art. Like I'm an 80s baby, so all the [ __ ] that you make I love. Um I will definitely use some of your artwork and tag you on these cakes. I would love to do that. >> My eyes are getting so bad in my old age. >> Yeah. No, he has incredible work. >> Oh, [ __ ] This shit's legit. >> He has really good work. >> Damn, I love this. >> I know. I know. >> So [ __ ] cool. >> Yeah, >> you just got to follow from Bachelor Clues, Chetzor. >> Yeah, I'll definitely use your [ __ ] for cakes. Um, we'll start in January. We'll make some fun stuff. >> This [ __ ] is great, man. That's creepy as [ __ ] I love these weird neon green ones. This is great. Um, all right. Well, there you go, Chadzart. Moving on. Auggie Z65, did you hear about Mike Pillow running for governor of Minnesota in 2026 with a Trump endorsement? >> Huh? >> What? >> I thought he was under some kind of criminal investigation, wasn't he? >> I Who knows? >> Some kind of financial fraud of some kind. How the [ __ ] you're Mike Pillow? You're talking about Mike Lindell, the guy who owns My Pillow and wears his big cross out on his chest and [ __ ] and it's like conspiratorial and all that [ __ ] >> Oh my [ __ ] god. There's I mean, come on. That dude can't win, right? >> Well, >> Jesse Ventura was governor of Minnesota, I guess. >> Well, >> maybe >> the governor. >> Um Hannah Boatman 8865 says, "Chad, are you familiar with Ramsay Robinson running for governor in California? If so, what are your thoughts? Would you vote for him? I am not. Let me look this up real quick. Ramsey Robinson, California. I don't know this guy. Uh, vote California for the people, not for the billionaires. I don't know literally anything about him. A dedicated mental health social worker, organizer, and revolutionary based in San Francisco. Spent years organizing alongside This is from his official website. Yeah. I mean, I don't know. He looks cool, I guess. I don't know. I'd have to read some more about him. I I literally have never heard of this guy. Um, moving on to this is from Code Jinx. 516CV00797. What is this? Oh, that's the case number of Trump vers Katie Johnson. Do you think this would shine light on Trump to your mom or potentially dad? I'm not sure which case that is. Is that the 13-year-old girl that accused him of rape? I don't think >> I don't think if you present them with anything from a case, they're gonna they don't they didn't even believe his his convictions. >> Yeah. >> So, I mean, I I don't think I don't know. It's a little disappointing. I think uh you know when mom responds to this [ __ ] because you know as a woman living in the United States you know under the [ __ ] patriarchy that we've all been trying to get out from under it's infuriating to hear her kind of dismiss this [ __ ] Uh >> I don't know. I guess I can >> she has from the first stroke of it when that bush tape came out >> and and I was in their living room for whatever that October for some reason I was back there visiting them. You might have been there too. I don't. It was like on the TV. We were coming into that election >> and that Billy Bush tape was everywhere and everybody's like, "Well, that's it. There's no [ __ ] way he can win or like he should withdraw his candidacy, right?" >> And mom said, "That's just locker room talk." >> And all the Yeah. And all of these other women, you know, all these right-wing women, like, how >> how can you be that dafted? I just don't understand it. >> I don't understand it. >> I don't either. Josh Josh in 9287 says, "Were your parents big Bush people when you were young?" >> Yes, they were. >> They were. But my dad also thought Bush Jr. was stupid. [laughter] >> He would say that. >> Now watch this drive. >> Yeah, cuz he at the time he was working for this guy named Tboon Pickins in Texas who was a big oil guy. Pickings was friends with um >> the whole Bush family and supposedly he our dad was in meetings and [ __ ] with them supposedly. >> Right. Right. >> He claims this. I don't know. El Cotton. Thank you. Siren eyes 666. What was your >> XX? >> What was your I'm a lefty realization situation. Do you have a formal realization of this ideology? [snorts] No, I mean I think like even in high school and [ __ ] you know, I >> Yeah. >> Like I grew up around like a lot of my friends were queer and a lot of the things that I did were just ultra liberal and [clears throat] >> I don't I don't remember a moment where I thought like, oh, I'm I'm a lefty. I I don't remember a moment. I think it's just always been kind of who >> I was. I think so too for the most part. I do remember my girlfriend right out of college, so this would have been 1999, was like proudly Republican, also from Texas. >> Ah, yes. >> Um, but I remember during we were dating still during 911 and that like changed her kind of fundamentally. she became left and like you know the the kind of brainwashing of being a child in Texas and growing up with the Bush family as like heroes and [ __ ] It it kind of like dissipated from her and I was like oh yeah I I I actually feel the exact same way and it maybe crystallized a little more at that time or something. You know, >> I don't think I really rooted like hardcore until I had children. And it was Sandy Hook, I think, was like the defining moment where I thought, "Oh [snorts] [ __ ] like I'm political now and like this is how I feel." So, I think for me it was like uh the the idea that my children could be murdered in school. >> That really was like I'm hardcore left. >> Yeah. on almost ev. So I think that was a big realization for me was that moment. Sandy Hook. >> Yeah, for sure. Um I just want to reiterate, please do not give us any more money. We are trying to end this, but I I see some I think some are still popping up, so please don't [laughter] don't do it. We're going to get through them all, but please no more. Thank you. Okay. Um Katherine Perry, Chad and Haley, with your father constantly calling you communist. [laughter] Why do you think they look the other way with Trump's love of Putin? Putin ain't a communist. My dad, our dad does not know what communism is. I'm pretty convinced of that. >> Yeah, I think it's just like an insult. Instead of calling us like Arselor, now it's just, you know, communist. It's just like >> weird political insult. >> He doesn't really know what it means. And maybe in the next episode we'll we'll have him try to define it. That might be funny. A stormtrooper build 8181. Do you think Oklahoma has anything to do with their beliefs? I do. It impacted my parents. Glad I got out. Vote Jenna Nelson for Oklahoma Congress. They are they've always lived in that little Bible belt. Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma. Those are the only places they have ever lived. >> So, I don't think it's Oklahoma specifically, but definitely there's like a Midwest mentality that they have. I think not all Midwesterners have this, but they do. And I have seen it in other ones, certainly in Texas, it exists. That's this kind of chip on the shoulder of [ __ ] you, my conservative values are right. I'm from the Midwest and this is how [ __ ] should be. >> It's just so weird though because there are people who grew up in the Midwest, you know, alongside them who >> veered left. And I, >> you know, I always perceived mom as like a hippie. When we look at photos of them, like back when they were younger and [ __ ] >> that [ __ ] was a hippie. Okay. >> But not really. She wasn't doing drugs and [ __ ] >> She was like not wearing bras, you know? She was kind of free and like she's more of the sensitive side of that movement. >> She wasn't a protester, >> but she was certainly like kind of like free love, you know. Um, dad joined the military. >> Yeah. So, I I think that's where it kind of like that's where mom's life kind of went burnt and and instead of kind of she had to make that choice and it was dad and it was and it was the right and it was a hard right. >> Yeah. >> Because her whole life, like if you think about it, you know, she was a high school coach in tennis, her best friend was a gay dude. Um, one of her cousins is also gay. like this idea that that she could be friends with gay people has always been there from the start. So, I don't think she's homophobic. >> Um, and I think she just doesn't understand trans people. I think if she knew trans people that she wouldn't have a problem with it. >> Here's the thing. I bet they do. >> Yeah, they might. They might. >> And they don't even know. >> Yeah, that's true. >> Whatever. Matthew Kennales 2089 says just a quick shout out to Stromboli. This is a reference to Dudy Stromboli forever in our hearts. Thank you very much. Juu69. Do you think Democrats need a 2028 plan? What should it be consist of? Uh yeah, I think they do. They need a strong candidate who is very charismatic and is up to the challenge of like maybe crossing the line into saying some [ __ ] that is like a little offensive to Trump. I think in the past all the candidates have run on like this guy's a [ __ ] joke. Come on guys >> and it's like that doesn't work. It barely I mean Biden won by a landslide but I think that was reactionary and maybe that will happen again. I don't know. >> But yeah, there just seems to be no real strong candidate out there right now. Gavin Newsome is probably like the the de facto really that I don't either. It seems [ __ ] slimy to me. >> Um >> my feed is full >> does some good stuff, but like >> my feed is full of like the people speaking out against Donald Trump in in the manner that I want to see. It's all women. >> It's all women. Uh I don't know. I hate Gavin Newsome. I don't want it. >> Yeah. I I do think, you know, dare I say it, maybe this next presidential election is the time finally that we get a woman president. >> I hope >> there may be enough of a backs against Trump that it like actually happens. I don't know. I don't know. >> God, it cannot be Kla Harris. It cannot be. There's got to be somebody better. >> I I think that that whether I mean, I think she's a good candidate. Like I think she would be a good president, but I I do think like just the public kind of perception of it is like >> we tried that >> and now we're here. >> Yeah. >> I think it's got to be like new. We need everything new. >> Yeah. >> Um cuz this [ __ ] ain't working. Hopefully that's what they'll do. We'll see. from Katherine Perry, H4Y. Please talk about the cognitive dissonance, the MAGA create calling everyone communist when Trump is best buddies with the ultimate communist. Yes, correct. And it's like, you know, our dad has said multiple times that he wants Putin to win that war, >> right? >> What the [ __ ] >> And then they accuse us of being anti-American and [laughter] they're like, but I want Putin to [ __ ] crush Ukraine and take all of their land. Huh? >> Half the [ __ ] that dad says doesn't make sense. He's just like angrily, you know, shooting words. I don't know. He doesn't make sense. >> Yeah, we got to get him back to some normaly. I see comments every once in a while like he's got early signs of dementia and [ __ ] >> Supposedly, that's not the case. >> He's drawing the clock, guys. Okay. [laughter] >> Exactly. >> He drew the [ __ ] clock. So, >> he did. When mom sent me that picture, I was like, Jesus, he [ __ ] did it. I was positive he wouldn't be able to do it. and it he drew it like perfectly. I I just I don't know. I don't but I mean that's just like one thing or whatever. But they've they've talked to other doctors. He of course is like doing a bunch of medical [ __ ] for his hips and his diabetes and all this stuff. >> They've talked to a bunch of doctors. >> No one seems concerned about it. >> Right. >> So I don't know. Um this is from Kaylee Glenn 5712. What you're doing is really important for the audience but from someone who did this with her own for years. They won't change. Protect your heart. >> Well, thank you very much for uh your own story about this. I'm gonna keep [ __ ] doing this. I truly do. Look, >> there's going to be a time when Trump is not in this thing. He is not in public life. He is not only not in politics, but he is [ __ ] gone from the world, right? >> That time come. Our parents maybe will still be here. [laughter] >> But if they are, I would love to be able to reclaim some kind of a relationship with them. And honestly, even doing this podcast has already done that for us. I think this podcast has drastically improved our relationship with them. >> Despite what you see in the podcast where we're just yelling at each other about politics >> around that, we are not doing it. Even when we went back in Oklahoma, like we didn't talk about politics and dad tried to a couple of times. >> He tried to like pop it in there and I would just be like, "Save it for the podcast." >> Yeah. I don't know. It was a little too political. Like they were saying some [ __ ] around the kids that I didn't appreciate. Like I needed to just not exist when we're all home together as a family. >> What were they saying? I don't remember that. >> It's It was more to do with the way of the world, like gender identity and uh race and [ __ ] like that. >> Was I in the room for any of this [ __ ] >> I don't know. >> Where was I? What was I doing? [laughter] I don't know. I don't know. >> I don't remember any of this. Well, so be it. >> But yeah, I would love to just like go and and not talk about it at all. >> Yeah, definitely. Kaylee Glenn though, thank you for the sentiment and yes, protect your own heart to everyone. >> Oh yeah. >> Coming now from Matthew Kenzalis. Once again, did Mike Judge perfectly portray your parents in Kot King of the Hill? Um, no. Those parents are super nice. I feel like they're like way way watered down versions maybe, but definitely the Texas accent. The one from Nun says, "Did you guys do 23 and me with your dad?" No. Should we? >> Yeah, >> it' be interesting. >> Yeah, >> see what we get back. We might try that. Yoda St. Cloud says, "Miss Pop Off, how much, if any, therapy have you done? You seem like you've set great boundaries with your parents." >> Um, I've been to therapy one time. Um, I just think I had the wrong therapist. I didn't care for it. I, uh, wholeheartedly believe in therapy. I think it helps people. I've seen it help my friends, my family, um, tremendously. So, I do believe in therapy. I just don't want to go myself. But I will. But I will. Like, if you have a family therapist or whatever, like, I'll go. But the one that I went to, I don't know. I just felt like it was horseshit. And I think it was like the wrong therapist. I don't know. It wasn't what I wanted. >> Well, there you go. We have three more questions. The next one is from Britany Carillis 7707. Hope I'm pronouncing that right. I had a similar ingrown ass [laughter] hair. >> Yeah, Britney. >> I had [clears throat] talking about [laughter] >> I had a similar ingrown ass hair that put me in the hospital and left a nice scar. So happy you're safe at home. You know what's crazy is like after the surgery I was like br how how many people does this happen to >> and they were like alarmingly a lot like ingrown hairs on your body is like a huge source of abscesses. So like they said if you ever feel a lump or a bump obviously go get it checked out. Um, also like dental [ __ ] they said. And if if you have a dental abscess, like that can like kill you fast. >> The closer it is to your heart, the closer is to your heart is like what they're >> concerned about. Heart and brain. >> Good. >> Thank god my ass is three feet away from my head. [laughter] >> Uncle Fatty says, "Shame works. Call them cult members at every chance." >> Yeah. >> Does it? I I don't think shame works on certainly not on our dad, maybe even not on our mom, but >> no, they don't care. >> We'll keep the the foot on the gas. And finally, Jonathan Diaz 6518 says, "I don't understand how Bob can say you guys are communists with no proof." I don't understand it either. >> I don't either. >> It has just kind of come about. When did he start calling us communists? It was this year sometime was the first time on the show he ever called us that. I don't get why he's doing it. I like I said earlier, I don't think he even knows what communism is. >> And uh maybe next week we will get him to try to define it. Yeah. Or who are some other communists that you might >> of? Joe Biden. >> Joe Biden. >> Barack Obama's biggest communist there is. He'll say something like that. >> Um anyway, thank you all for joining us for this. Sorry it went over by about 10 minutes, but thanks everybody for listening to all these answers. Thank you also for um everybody who donated money and everything to this. You want to do one question that came at the very end. >> Yeah, sure. >> Sure. >> This is uh giant movie nerd TM. Chad, do you know about Brett Ratner being on the list on top of Trump clamoring to get a get a rush hour four made, which Ratner directed the first three? I didn't know that. He was Brett Rener is a super famous movie director who kind of came up in the late 90s, early 2000s making the rush hour movies and all this stuff. Made a shitload of money. Was kind of known for, >> you know, getting drunk, partying, having women around all the time. I did not know he was on the Epstein list, though. >> Did you know this? >> Nerds. Man, that movie did not age well. >> What movie? >> Nerds. Revenge of the Nerds. >> Oh, right. The rape in it, you mean? >> Yeah. Jesus Christ. I watched it not that long ago because I, you know, we watch all that [ __ ] as kids in the 80s and then you rewatch with like adult eyes and you're holy [ __ ] >> There is so much >> Oh my god. >> that we watched when we were kids, some of which I will rewatch. I loved Eddie Murphy as a kid. >> Yeah, >> I rewatched uh 48 hours, I think it was, not that long ago. >> Eddie Murphy's one of two main characters in the movie. The other main character is calling him the n-word maybe five or six times in the course of the movie. >> Yes. >> And that movie's a comedy. That that's like a standard studio comedy. They made a [ __ ] sequel of it, >> right? >> It was like that's just how movies were. >> Slur, Ensler, Rur. Like rampant. Yeah. >> Absolutely wild. >> Some of that [ __ ] did not age. >> Almost none of it, I would say. >> But I'm still going to watch some of them. >> Yeah. You got to do what you got to do. >> Goonies. I'm gonna watch it every time. >> Is there something bad in Goonies? >> There's all kinds of like Yeah. Yeah. >> I don't remember. I don't remember the bad stuff in it. >> Just go watch it. Goonies. Um I don't know. Like [ __ ] name a movie. I'm sure there's [ __ ] in Lost Boys. Like name an 80s movie. >> Yeah. >> Big. >> Big. >> He's a [ __ ] kid the whole time >> and she's an adult [laughter] woman. HE'S A [ __ ] KID THE whole >> the end he like gives her the tip of the hat and he walks back to his 12-year-old [ __ ] life like >> Yeah. And she's like, "Well, I guess I just had a full-blown sexual relationship with a 12-year-old. I forgot. [laughter] I forgot the premise of the movie." Sorry. >> Jesus Christ. >> Oh [laughter] my [ __ ] god. Okay. Sincerely, everybody. Thank you so much. uh for joining us here. Oh [ __ ] Did we get one more here? Um yes, we have one more. Sorry. Better than 98. And this is really honestly the last one. I came too late to ask a question, but I appreciate all you guys do, including this pod. Happy holiday. Happy holidays indeed. >> We will be back on Wednesday, Christmas Eve day, with another episode with it's going to be you, maybe mom. I don't know. We'll figure it out.
