Uh to some degree, I do a bunch of podcasts and stuff and I'm a writer as well. I write movies and TV shows. I wouldn't necessarily consider being a writer being a small business, but running a podcast certainly is like running a small business. Um but my parents think they know, you know, all these kind of ins and outs of the stuff, my dad specifically, and they just do not. Deeter's Gone Wild. Maybe she'll get around it that way, I'm not sure, but um if that happens, I think that's going to be a hard one for her to walk back. Um we only have an hour to talk about things, and I feel like pressing either one of my parents too hard to where they get really pissed off is is detrimental to any kind of progress we can make. I think that's a part of it for me. And what first drew me to it was like the lie of it, you know, looking at the system and be like The Bachelor specifically, the lie is it's the show that's trying to help people find their soulmates, but it's not. It is this kind of multi-tiered system of torture developed by producers that players run through and try to get famous out of. The falling in love is like incidental. Sometimes it happens, but that ain't the goal. And so, with that in mind, analyzing that system really led me down a path of wondering, can I train people to go into this game and play it unbeknownst to the producers, unbeknownst to anybody? And uh so, I started doing that, and it's been very very fun. That's what drew drew me to it initially is I saw it like almost a video game that I'm like too old and not the right physical demo to play, but I'm like, can I train people to play it? And so, um indeed, I do now do that. And so I told my parents, come down and and but we can go on set and I got my mom to be an extra in it. She was like walking through the mall and stuff. Um but when they [clears throat] showed up, my dad like walked onto the set and came up to me and was like "Where can I make a phone call? Business don't stop for this bullshit." That's like how he said hello. And so yes, I feel like there is not jealousy necessarily, but I do feel like my dad felt some kind of threat that I was able to achieve some level of success in a career field that he knew nothing about that was like completely foreign to him that was not working for another person that was like making money off the you know, the labors of my own weird creative [ __ ] in my head.
