Let me see if I did this correctly. You are live, it says. Okay. Is that accurate? Are we live? Are we truly really live? I don't know. I believe we are. Hello, everyone. Thank you for joining us. Um Watch Oops, Watch Your 6 is saying, "Very curious to see if Mary Lou will be on here on the live." We'll be here on the live. She will not. Um she's dealing with her dad and and many Whoa, what's going on? How do I do this? New comments. Whoa, everything's so fast. Um yes, she's not going to be here on the live. Our apologies. Lib Sibs, DJ Dumont, it's us. We're doing live. Yes, everyone. Welcome, welcome. So, um Oh, here's a couple of starred ones. Okay, now I see. Now Now I see. Here we go. Laura Lynn Martin, "Chad, after the data center discussion in today's episode, do you still plan to use AI for making your thumbnails?" Well, here's the thing about that. Uh I don't anymore. I just steal copywritten images from photographers, and everybody seems to be okay with that. Like the one for today, for example, is Trump's face, a copywritten image taken from some other photographer. And then I just put Photoshopped text over it, and that's it. Hope that answers the question. Side of the Ham 420, "Only a matter of time in until political candidates are on your show. I'm rooting for Tyler Rico and AOC, maybe even Massie. Is Mary Lou back to watching Newsmax?" >> [laughter] >> Well, Dad's home, so yes, the answer is yes. Newsmax is on. She ain't got no choice. Um Yeah, I mean >> [snorts] >> Only a matter of time until political candidates are on your show. Mhm. Yeah, I I I think maybe we already had um Gil Cisneros, who's a California congressman. He was on our show once. Mhm. So, we already had like a sitting Wait, there was a lady also in uh Virginia? Yeah, she was a state um congresswoman from Virginia as well. She was on. So, we've had a couple of that level state congressional people. But, I would love to have some federal political people on and I I don't know. Maybe that'll happen. I My fingers are crossed for Hunter Biden. I think that may occur. Mhm. We'll see. Diane Luton 4977, Chad and Haley, I know you favor AOC for president in '28 if nominated. How realistic do you feel it is that she is actually elected? Very very realistic. >> Yeah. I think so, too. I just like even Well, I don't know. I mean, it's hard to say, I guess, cuz I was thinking back to like the Biden-Trump election. That was more people than have ever voted. And I think that was in reaction to like never Trump again. Mhm. [clears throat] Then people just got pissed off in this most recent election or whatever. But, I think AOC could eclipse the Biden turnout. Yes. >> Because I think people are like would be very enthused to vote for her. She represents change in basically every possible way that you could have for a major party uh presidential candidate. So, I think it's it's very realistic. I think she would win. Mhm. A lot of big X's. Mary Lou >> [laughter] >> That was from today. I kept saying that cuz Mom was like, "That's an X for me." Yeah. Um Mary Lou said she wants to wait to see what happens with the claims of the 1.8 billion. The problem is that it doesn't have to be disclosed. They don't have to say who's applying, being awarded, etc. We'll never find out. I agree with that, except that I think I think the first round of people who get the money are going to be vocal enough about it that we'll know who they are. I would imagine. Somehow that that information will be reported on. Somehow we will know that. I know they don't have to publicly disclose it or at least per whatever that settlement is, but I think we'll see that. I don't think he's going to give it to anyone. >> [clears throat] [laughter] >> Am I right Mike again? Yes. Am I just too far away? You just have like some weird like stuff in the background. I don't a [ __ ] airplane just flew over. No. I don't know. It's perpetual. Mika Chu Mac Tire, a while back I asked that you don't say top of the morning to Irish people. Here are authentic ways to greet people in Ireland instead. What's the craic? What's the craic? What's the story? How's she cuttin'? Well, I'm going to have to use those soon because I'm boarding a plane tomorrow to go to Ireland, so. Oh, nice. What's the story? What's the story? Kiss the Blarney Stone. Chris the girl 1013 Chad Farscape, really? Babylon 5 for the win. I like Babylon 5 too. Farscape though to me just like it hit me right. When I first saw it I was like, what in the hell is this? And I remember buying I still have I gave away all my DVDs except the Farscape box set. I still have that cuz I can't part with it. I just love Farscape. Um such an interesting fun show. Harley Roads Productions 4H Me. Oh, for Haley, sorry. Since you're vegan, I was V2 a vegan 2 years ago. >> I was a vegan 2 years ago, but my doc told me I needed more protein. I'm now veggie and eating eggs. Vegan foods in Canada are not that great. How is vegan food for you? Have you always been vegan? Um I've been a vegetarian since I was a teenager, a vegan for maybe the last 3 years. I don't typically have a problem with protein because I drink a lot of it as well. Um I don't know. I eat a lot of soy, a lot of uh tofu. Me too. And like a lot of protein powders, vegan protein powders and bars and things like that. >> Same. Yeah. >> Same. And in LA, I don't know if there's a better place in the world for vegan cuisine. No, there's not. Like you know, I I have to make my own food. I can't get that here in Texas. There's like a vegan restaurant basically on every street corner. >> must be nice. Must be nice. Two ICs, one palm. As a Canadian, we've been watching the trends on Instagram of medical bills, costs in the US blows my mind. I hope it humble Mary Lou and Bob from their own experience. Yeah, it's [ __ ] disgusting. I think it has changed mom's opinion. I mean, you've heard her on the show talk about how she thinks Yeah. everybody should have health care and all this. And I think it's because [clears throat] of what she's going through with this. Once you are like face-to-face with it, I had this a little bit with cancer where it's like the doctor's saying one thing or you feel like you should be doing this or you want to get a second opinion or whatever and the insurance company's just like, "No, here's what's happening." And you're like, "Oh, the the CEOs of these companies, these billion-dollar corporate greed machines are the actual people making your health care decisions." Mhm. It shouldn't be like that. I agree. Somebody in my bakery needed a migraine medication. Uh without insurance, one pill is $145. What the [ __ ] $145 for one little pill that will help you get ready your migraines. That's insane. And that's just because the pharmaceutical company is like jacking up the price because they know insurance will pay that money. Yes. >> [screaming] >> Uh not a shazoie 181. Thank you very much. I hope I said that right. Captain Goku 2280. [clears throat] Hey siblibs, what is your opinion on Nick Fuentes? Not a good one. Right. Right. >> [laughter and gasps] >> He seems like a real piece of [ __ ] to me. Yeah, right. Is it wrong to hell? I don't know. Who has another opinion? Um Northern Northern Spike 7434. Mary Lou is more evil than she realizes being MAGA. Mhm. We're trying to curb that. We're trying to get her out of it. And this is something like for what it's worth. I really view our parents and most people that are in MAGA, maybe dad not quite as much as like victims to a system that is was designed to pray on certain uh psychological kind of temperaments, you know, that that a certain percentage of the population has. And so if Mark Zuckerberg and Newsmax and Fox News and all all the [ __ ] usual suspects understand that they can get you to keep watching their TV screen or the screen on their phone or whatever that they're putting ads into. If they understand that like all we have to do is wrap them in a perpetual cycle of hate and rage and fear and it will keep them watching. That was the initial purpose and now it's gone far beyond that. And I think that it's like, you know, whatever kind of minor inclinations mom might have had or anybody else for that matter before they were MAGA, that [ __ ] is just like through the roof now and I don't really see it necessarily as like their fault. I'm not exonerating them from their opinions and their actions and stuff like that by any means or excusing those things, but I do think there are like um bigger kind of nefarious corporate greed machines at play. And I put the blame there. Uh where was I? Kennedy 25, thank you very much. Forest epidote. Will Mary Lou watch whole Candace Hunter interview? No. >> Maybe. That's like an hour and some change, right? Yeah. She might. Yeah. I I I don't think so. I don't think so. Phil Meyer 2367, do you think the 1.776 billion can be claimed by Waco or Ruby Ridge survivors? They said there's no timeline that it can go back in history um as far as you want to go back, I guess. They can apply. Like the the key is going to be what somebody had the question here earlier that like we're not going to know who gets the money or whatever. I think we will. But, it won't be through the the government. They're not going to like put that information out and make it public. Um nor will they make public the information of like who's applying. Technically, like Hasan [ __ ] can apply for this. Mhm. You know what I mean? Like [laughter] he just got subpoenaed because he he went to another country to give aid. So, >> like would you call that federal prosecution or lawfare or whatever they're calling it in the the um the outlining of how you can receive these funds. But, um yeah, it's an interesting question. I don't know how far back it'll go. And also, it boils down to that group of five people that Trump is hand selecting to in quotes decide who gets the money. I don't think they're giving it to anybody. I don't either. I think well, I think Trump's going to use it to give to the January 6 people so they will come fight on his behalf again, and then he's going to take the rest of it. I think he'll give each one of them like 20 grand, and then take a billion. Yeah, probably. Um bamarolla24, will you have Assan back? I think you should. I'd love to. I just feel like, you know, people at a certain level are busy as hell. I don't know if they want to come on our our show, you know what I'm saying? Mhm. But maybe. Natasha Zoe 181, Charlie and Haley, please watch Hunter Biden's interview on Soft White Underbelly. Soft White Underbelly also interviewed some of the Epstein victims, so good. Do you ever watch Soft White Underbelly? No. It's fantastic. It's this dude, I think he's here in LA. He just interviews like he he's kind of branched out, and he does a lot of different people now, but it started out interviewing like people who lived on Skid Row and stuff, and Mhm. like really just people you never see interviewed. Um and the whole thesis of that channel, it's a YouTube channel, was kind of like if you're not looking at the people who kind of fall through the cracks, you don't really know what the society is about. Mhm. Highly recommend it, but I have not seen the Hunter Biden one. Um I'll check that out. Colorado Kitten Foster 7459, were you surprised by your mom calling Trump stupid for what he's doing to monarch butterflies and reducing animal welfare welfare protections? No, I wasn't. Were you? >> No, she's starting to uh she's [snorts] starting to break. Yeah. And that animal thing, I I was very certain that that was going to be a as she called it, a big X. A big X. Yeah, cuz I mean I was just back there, as you were too, Haley. There was like two or three of the days that I was there, she our mom um has planted like specific plants in her backyard that attract monarch butterflies on their uh migrations to the West Coast. So, they come, they sit on these plants, they eat them, they lay their eggs, then the eggs grow into caterpillars, then my mom takes the caterpillars and puts them in a little like a aquarium type thing so that they're safe and like other animals can't get them and allows them to make their cocoons and hatch and all this. I helped her do that. Like with multiple of these little creatures and like ti- one of them fell off the top, one of the cocoons. So, then we had to tie like a piece of dental floss on it and thread it back through and try to like put it back up all this [ __ ] So, she's very into it. Um and I really thought that you know, by mentioning that it would I thought it would be a big X. And we just need to keep the big X's coming. So, that was a a pretty good one. >> not hard. It's not hard to do. Well, it has been traditionally kind of hard though. She doesn't see this [ __ ] as X's. Yeah. Until now. Um yeah. >> A lot of big X's says your mom is on the edge of seeing it. Indeed, she's very close. The the cyanide capsule thing to me was just like, why? Right. He woke up and just said, "What else What can I do to be the biggest [ __ ] on the planet? Kill animals with cyanide." But probably like he bought stock in the company that makes those cyanide pills. >> Oh, yeah. Canisters or whatever, you know. Like I don't think he's doing anything now unless it's making him money. Right. Or if he's doing something, he's also thinking, "How can I make money on this thing I'm doing?" Like with the you know, buying and selling oil and then coming out and being like, "We're going to war. No, we're not." Like he's just manipulating the stock market at every turn. Um it's grotesque. But she is on the edge of seeing it, I agree. Jim and Eddie, has anyone else noticed it's been a long time since Mary Lou wore a Trump or MAGA hat? All USA or other ones. Keep going. Mhm. I haven't noticed that. She's been wearing the red hat with the American flag on it. Interesting. No MAGA. Interesting. I wonder if that's That's interesting. We'll have to check it next time we do an episode with her. I don't know if she's going to be on Wednesday or if it's going to be you and me again, but It won't be me, [ __ ] Oh, [ __ ] So, it's going to be me. It's got to be Mom, then. Going to be in Ireland. How long are you there? 10 days. 10 days. 10 days. >> I'll I'll be I'll be I will be back Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, I'm going to have to miss Sunday. Oh, man. You just gallivanting everywhere now, huh? Yeah, I'm going to miss Sunday, but I'll be back for the next Sunday. Okay. Fishnets 2, do any of you consume foreign news sources? Yeah, I look at Al Jazeera. Um BBC. BBC. I read Daily Mail every once in a while, UK. Oh, wow. Does that Does that count? >> [laughter] >> Well, Mag- Magasma 1, Chad and Haley, if you hired help for the show, what qualifications would you be looking for? I don't know. Um at this point, what would be the first hire would probably be >> Astral projection. No. Um I don't know because as it is now, I pretty much do every job on the show. Haley, you, Mom and Dad simply show up, record, and you're done. I produce the entire thing, I edit the entire thing, I publish the entire thing, I write all the questions and little blurbs that I read and stuff. I would probably be looking for somebody to What's the biggest cha- You know, honestly, I'd probably be looking for somebody who could produce the show in terms of like getting the topics together. Somebody that I would basically say, "Here's the topics I want. Can you write little blurbs for them?" Um and then also cut the whole show and cut all the clips and publish them every day. Two clips per day, 7 days per week, never miss. I don't know. But I also we're not at a point where that's even possible, so. Fun to think about. Phil Meyer 2367, do you think Mary Lou remembers Roseanne butchering the national anthem? Do you remember >> 100% Yeah. 100% I almost want to say they were pissed. I have some weird hazy memory of Dad being mad about that. Probably. I'm not positive. Um Adriana Alliance 5189 Been a fan of the show for years. Every time something insane happens constantly. >> [laughter] >> I look forward to watching. Even find myself missing Bob. A little. I miss him being on this. Um Yeah. I for a variety of reasons. I mean, the main one just being I want him to be back in good enough health that he can argue with us, you know. Uh hopefully that will happen in the near future, but as it is now, he's just kind of recovering, resting, hopefully getting his strength back after having a literal near-death experience. No, he did die. He was not near death, [ __ ] He died. That's what a near-death experience is. Somebody who dies and comes back. NDE. Trust me. >> [laughter] >> Don't trust me. James Boyles uh or Boylas, maybe, 364. I feel like we're finally seeing the breaking point of Mary Lou and it gives me hope that my parents can see the light. Love the show so much. Thank you. Um yeah, I I hope so, too. And look, I will also say this, as much as I want um our dad to come back to the show, I do think that her um talking to just us without dad there like screaming in her face is part of why she's starting to see the big X's. Mhm. I think his influence over her is being broken a little bit right now. And that is I mean, I always theorized that was going to be a crucial component of her uh coming out of the dark side, but we're starting to see it now, I think. >> Mhm. Yeah. Mr. Metroid 9, I can only wonder if when Mary Lou says, "Let's wait and see." to things, a response from you saying, "That is not a valid response." would lead to better combos. No, it wouldn't. She would just Well, we'll see. Yeah. And then she gets tired quickly and stuff, you know, you could see by the if you watch today's full show, by the end of it, she was kind of like running on fumes a little bit and and totally understandable, she's dealing with a lot of [ __ ] right now. Yeah. Um And and also it's like, I don't think the overtly combative strategy is ever going to work on Maga. It's got to be like, you got to let them come to it in their time. And all we're doing is the the primary point of the show is to continue contact so that we have to have a conversation every week. Mhm. And we can give her these facts and these figures and all this kind of stuff, and some of them seem to get through at this point. We can introduce her to new people, Peppermint, Hasan [ __ ] you know, whoever that I think I actually think the Peppermint and Hasan [ __ ] um interactions are like maybe the the most important things that have happened in terms of having an effect on Mom. Mhm. And so, we'll just keep doing that. I I feel like what we're doing is working now. Everybody is seeing it, where I'm seeing it, like there's momentum here. We just need to keep doing what we're doing. I think that's the path. We'll see. Cindy Ramirez 8686, thank you very much. Mick Jack DK, hey from communist Denmark. Your book in Danish? It actually is. Which one? All? No. Average American Male is in Danish. Mhm. I think. Because I remember getting Christian von Hornsleth did the cover for it, the Danish cover for it, and he sent me a little print of what that cover was. I remember that. Um Ashley Hess or Hessy maybe 8740. Haley cookie update and prices asking for myself. >> [laughter] >> Uh okay. I There are a lot of things happening right now with me and my bakery, like some actually really huge things. I don't want to really talk about it until it's like all sign, sealed, delivered, but um I anticipate within the next year uh having shipping available as well as subscriptions for cookie boxes monthly. Um it just takes a lot of work uh and I need the space to do that. Um So yeah, if you guys follow me on High Bakery hopefully I'll have some pretty big announcements in the coming months. Nice. Sonia E2Z Chad needs to watch The From series. You would totally enjoy it. Uh yeah, that's on my list. I need to get Lost it. You like it? >> Yes, as you as more seasons >> a good review. >> As more seasons uh are are like we're on the the latest episode. Um You know how Lost was? Sucked at the end, yeah. It's starting to like Uh We're losing We're losing steam. >> Do you want to hear something that sucks? And I'm losing steam. I mean, where do we even begin? This season of The Boys [ __ ] abysmal. The The finale was like unwatchable. Yeah. But we've been hooked on Outlander from the beginning and it's in its final season is now. It's happened now. I think the last episode came out a couple weeks ago and we're We have two left. Holy [ __ ] That show is just like it's abusive to the audience. It's like [laughter] I'm only watching it out of obligation at this [ __ ] point. Did you see Obsessed yet? Or I'm sorry Yeah, did you see that? Is that that movie? Yes. No. Obsession? Obsessed Obsession Obsessed >> the guy wishes that the girl would fall in love with him and then she goes crazy or something? Is that it? Yes. Yeah, I didn't watch it. You should watch it. Okay. You should watch it. I'll put it on the list. Dan C8388 Uh Chad Harry, with their lack of critical thinking skills and gullibility, do you think your parents should be able to vote? >> [laughter] >> Doesn't matter what I [ __ ] think. But yes, I do. Um I think everybody should be able to vote. That's the beauty of the vote. If you ever start saying these people can or cannot vote It ain't a vote. I mean, that's literally what the Republicans are trying to do right now. You got to let everybody vote or it ain't a vote. Um Wonton Tay You could tell Mary Lou was having a hard time grappling with her feelings about Donald Trump today at the end of the show, thinking her guard is down now because her focus is on Bob. Maybe she comes around soon. That's what I'm saying. The [ __ ] she's dealing with with dad right now is like it's a part of this. I I like not only the fact that she kind of is like not he's not constantly in her face yelling at her I guess Newsmax is back on 24/7 but like when when I was there I was staying at the house with mom for how I don't know how long I was even there it was like a [ __ ] a blur [snorts] to some degree um but Newsmax wasn't on that much. On occasion I'd leave the TV on like CNN or MS now or whatever and every once in a while I'd come back in the living room and it would be back on Newsmax but not every time. Yeah. Well, it was her hyper fixation. Like when Dad was healthy or whatever, you know, she didn't have anything else to worry about or watch or do or and now she's like being run ragged so she's not watching this and you're just delivering news so it's no longer like the the fixation. Yeah. Ben parent 08 Chad you're great but your Trump impersonation is getting worse. I don't I don't know. People are saying it's the greatest. People are saying I have the greatest Trump impersonation. That's how he lives in my head it's like a demon. It's kind of like um Mark Hamill when he does all of his character voices. >> Joker and stuff? Yeah. This is but this would be my cue. >> on a regular show Trump impersonations back and forth you start. >> I don't I can't even do it. Just go ahead. bigly bigly It's bigly everything is bigly. It's pretty good pretty good. But it's bigly. It's pronounced bigly. And I did marry one wife on my golf course. Does he growl like that? You're giving it up. >> [groaning] >> Like a greed it's like greed as Donald Trump. >> higher. Greed wants asked and you [clears throat] take me higher. With arms wide open. Yeah. That's the best I can do. WITH ARMS WIDE OPEN. CAN YOU DO CAN YOU DO THAT? WHAT? THE Charlie Kirk growl. No. It's a gift only I have. Sweet face CC, thank you very much. Side of the Hanford 20, Haley, what can I bake to impress a girl? I can't bake. What? >> [laughter] >> Didn't you just answer your own question? Um Salmon, baked salmon. I just recommend going to your nearest local bakery and supporting support local and then just give her something that you bought. Wow. Sounds like a plug for your own store. Yeah, well. Laura loves Hazel. Hi from Spain. It's Laura loves Hazel. >> [laughter] [laughter] >> Wow. >> [laughter] >> Oh, [ __ ] man. Hi from Spain. I know you all have said people in other countries hate DHT. DMT? DJT? Oh, I think it's probably Trump. I'm sad to say people here love him. I also spent over a year in Morocco and same there, too. They love the rich man illusion. That's crazy. Well, I mean, some people everywhere are into that. I think every country has a certain percentage of the population that likes authoritarians and likes big, boisterous, celebrity, whatever's. But I I it's like is it the majority? I don't know. And like at least in America, it's clear it's not the majority. Yeah. But still he's in power, his party's in power, and that is is what we're trying to combat here. But, uh hopefully it's not. Hopefully, and by the way, hello from Spain Hello from America to Spain. It can't be everybody in Spain. It's only like a few of >> EspaƱa. A lot of big axes. Chad, your Oh, after Mary Lou first said today that Hassan was her son was hilarious, you should clip it. I'll see if I can find it. I'm not sure exactly which O you're referring to specifically. Uh Ben Marola 24, Chad, what did you think of The Boys finale? Utter [ __ ] There are people now uh speaking of AI, people are making like AI versions of the finale they wanted to see, and I'm like every one of them better. Every one of them better. They were building to like the main uh bad guy in it is this guy Homelander, who's like a Superman, has all the powers of Superman, but is evil and psychotic and whatever. Um or psychopath like I should say. It was building to him basically saying, "I'm a god now, and you will accept me as your god or I'm going to kill you." And it was building to this giant culmination where he was just going to slaughter millions of people, and all the other superheroes are going to have to take him down, and instead, they played it out in a two-on-one fight in the Oval Office. It was terrible. Yeah, I don't I don't watch it. I mean, like I've seen clips and [ __ ] so I get the gist, but I don't actually watch it. >> was so [ __ ] good. The first like three seasons were perfect. Season 4 started to be a little bit like, "Whoa, what's going on here?" Season 5 was just like, I don't know. It was >> going to watch it then. Yeah, don't. Nautical, Haley, have you increased security at your bakery due to exposure online? Yeah, I got these two guns. Oh, [ __ ] She lifted heavy weight now. No, I don't I don't need security. No. All right. Greg in here speaks in third person. Why does Trump get a mistress but Clinton can't? #hornyforhassan I don't know. Um I think it's more about Clinton, at least with Monica Lewinsky, she was a White House aide and he was the president. And so it was like a little more salacious. Um Well, we've also been outside of the White House, at least the ones we know about. I don't We've also been exposed to just like the most corrupt, salacious, just [ __ ] sludge for the last year and a half or whatever that this, you know, it's like I mean what Clinton did now in office is like, whatever. She's another [ __ ] day. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. Colorado Kitten Foster 7459, is Bob offended by Blob or is it just your mom? I don't think he knows. What? He doesn't even know that they call him Blob. Nor would he be offended by it. I don't think he's It's very It's It's impossible to make him feel any kind of emotions. Yeah. Um they're they're buried so deep down under decades of uh inability to access them and perceiving that to be weak, etc. etc. etc. that I don't think you could offend him. Mhm. Sydni uh Sydni Alexa? Is that right? Mhm. Sydni Alexa, Sydni Alexa. What was y'all's reaction to the Hunter Biden thing? Me? Uh I don't know. It's pretty cool. It's cool when your podcast is mentioned on a major podcast with two major players in like, you know, the political arena. It's cool. Yeah, I agree. It was um almost like regardless of who the people are that are talking, It's like the son of a president and a a giant podcaster, media person, whatever. Whether you agree with them or not, it's like interesting to see that this little show we started where we're like talking to our parents about politics has reached that level. And then thinking of like if Hunter Biden's aware of it and seems to like it, is he telling his dad about it? Has Joe Biden watched our freaking show? You know what I mean? Yeah. Like that. Thinking of that to me is just absolutely surreal. Um Yeah, it was fantastic. On that same day, by the way, the champion of Survivor season 50 mentioned my other podcast in an interview she did. Harley Rhodes Productions for Haley. "ChatGPT was a great help for vegan recipes during Thanksgiving, which is in October in Canada. I made great vegan turkey that has three different lentils, chickpea flavor, veg stick, and sweet corn. It tastes great with mashed potatoes." That sounds good. Yeah. I'm glad you can read that. Is that just me being old? Yes. When I look at that, I'm like, "How does anybody even type that?" >> [laughter] >> Yeah, like there's just vowels are omitted in like every third word. Um anyways, yeah. Yeah. BobJoe81, "Hi Chad and Haley. Chad, for a Wednesday episode, can you please watch Don't Be a Sucker with your mom and show her some of Trump's own statements." Do you know what Don't Be a Sucker is? Can you please watch Don't Be a Sucker with your mom? I don't know what that is. I've never I don't know. I'm not sure what that is, either. I will look into it, though. Don't Be a Sucker. Hm. I'll check it out. It's Arushinshu. You need to tell your mom a former Ayatollah banned Iran from having nuclear weapons across Iran. Plus, Iran doesn't have the tech to build one. All Iran can do is enrich uranium. We've told her many similar things. It does not matter. If Donald Trump says they're they're close two weeks to have a nuclear weapon. Ayatollahs in Iran, Russians in Afghanistan, we didn't start the fire. Heavy metal suicide, foreign debts, homeless vets, AIDS, crack, Bernie Goetz. Hypodermics on the shore, China's under martial law. Rock and roll a cold war, I can't We didn't start the fire. It was always burning since the world was turning. When I was in seventh or eighth grade is when that song came out Mhm. and our teacher was like, "Okay, this weekend you can all go memorize this song and come back for extra credit." And I was like, Yes. >> "I'll do it now." I still have it. >> the whole song to her. >> [laughter] >> Yes. To this day, I know every [ __ ] word to that [ __ ] song and I love Billy Joel. I know every word. Me, too. I love Billy Joel, too. Mhm. Um what's your favorite Billy Joel song? Russia. No. I'm sure you have some cosmic ray channel. I don't know. Did you watch his documentary? Couldn't get through it. We watched it. No, we watched it. It was kind of sad. I don't know. I like I don't know. I like all of the '80s [ __ ] the most cuz it's like nostalgia for me. Like Uptown Girl, that album. On Paradise Island. That's a good one. And we were sharp. As sharp as knives, knives, knives. Nylon Curtain. That album is a >> Alexa, Downeaster Alexa. >> yeah. I'm on my Downeaster Alexa. >> relaxing. Nylon Curtain was the first cassette tape I ever bought when I was like seven or something. Okay. And Pressure, Laura is on that one. Vienna, they sing Vienna at uh uh one of my kids' graduations. That was pretty good. I don't know. >> [clears throat] >> Um, where do we go to? What are we on? Wooden Tent Stake Dragon? You ain't seen it? >> No, well, we were going to It was either Obsession or Michael last night, and we went to Obsession. I'll say this. I know people feel all types of ways about Michael Jackson and blah blah blah and the movie is definitely not about any of the controversial [ __ ] It's just about him as a kid up to bad up to when the album Bad came out basically. Is my favorite Michael Jackson era is Bad era I think. Yeah. I'm I'm Thriller all the way cuz that Look, I'll say this about the movie. It is chock-full of great Michael Jackson songs, pretty good performances and [clears throat] what it really reminded me of is that era like there was nobody as famous as he was and music was never more important culturally in America at least than it was. >> like all of it. Mhm. Um and and you just look at like what kind of music is today and it's just not even close. You know, Taylor Swift is like the most famous musician I guess probably on the planet I would say, right? Mhm. And um just doesn't remotely have the same thing that he had, you know. Uh for a wide variety of reasons. It and that era being gone, it was like it was super nostalgic for me to see like they obviously have scenes in there where he's shooting Thriller and coming up with the ideas for the album and [ __ ] like that. We're told we're fascist for being centrist." I'm confused by all of this. "How do you feel when myself as a centrist says, 'We can talk about whether taxes are good or bad, but not that minorities don't deserve rights.'" There's a double negative in there that I can't do the math on. So, does that mean you think minorities should or should not have rights? I don't understand. We're told we're fascist for being centrist. Um Well, I'm very confused by all this. Um, my apologies. I think nobody wants to pay taxes, but if you live in a society where there are public services and facilities and things of this nature, you have to have taxes. There's not, at least at this point, another way to do that. Um I don't know if I'm answering a question or if there even was a question here. My apologies. She said she bust him out of prison and that we would riot. That's [ __ ] insane. Like if you would have told me when we started this [ __ ] show that at some point [laughter] mom will be like I would >> Hasan [ __ ] is going to be mommy's little angel. Yeah, like that that's so [ __ ] far out of the field of possibility from when we first started the show. Now it's like it's accepted. She thinks he's her son. >> [laughter] >> Yes, we've got big X's and a new brother. >> [laughter] >> Shiny has a new brother. Oh god, Communist Bob 67, will your dad return in Avengers Doomsday? Hm? She's sucking up now because she needs you, too. I don't think that's true. Um I don't think that's true. I think we are changing her. I think this is working. It took a while, but I think it's working. I'm more enthused now about like her attitudes about [ __ ] and the things she's saying than I have been ever in the show. Mhm. Yeah. >> we are very close. They're just like that kind of like overt political messaging Right. >> just out in public doesn't really exist here at all. That's true. Maybe closer to like election time it'll start to pop up a little bit, but I do remember um on the eve of the 2016 election, I was seeing a movie at Hollywood and Highland, which is like a big kind of uh it's like the Times Square of LA basically. Me too. >> That was a good one. Overall that show's like pretty good. I would give it a solid like B plus A minus overall, but the finale is like A plus plus plus plus plus plus plus. The last 15 minutes of it are like it's the best ending to a whole series I've ever seen, bar none, hands down. Nothing comes close. I forgot about that one. Two ICs one Palm by YC, watch Southern Discomfort pilot. Oh, nice. Brilliant. Chad, how would the season have played out? Dying to know. Well, it wasn't um serialized. It was going to be episodic. So, basically like old-school '80s sitcoms. There is no overarching season-long plot. It's just one episode after another with funny little things. But, the in my mind, it was going to go to um the Haley character and her boyfriend who works at the gas station would wind up getting married, moving next door, and the me character would then move into their garage, and that would be the spin-off. Mozone and Glambot, regardless of whether you're fans of typical Star Wars, it is absolutely necessary for you to both watch the two seasons of Andor. It is important. I kind of am out on Star Wars forever, I think. I I don't care about it in any meaningful way. >> Like, the rest of my family watches all the Mandalorian [ __ ] and I just don't care. Same. They ruined it for me. Disney ruined both Marvel and Star Wars. I just These are two things like, if you would have told me as a kid, "They're going to be making Star Wars TV shows and a [ __ ] movie every 6 months, and Marvel's going to have a million movies and TV shows," I would have been salivating. Care. Yeah, I know. >> it. It's too much. It's all kind of like B-level, and I know Andor is supposed to be [ __ ] fantastic, but because there's so much [ __ ] I'm just like, I don't care. I I That one's going to slip by. I'd rather watch anything else. Yeah. >> not going to do it. Captain Goku 2280, hey Sibs Libs, how was your interview with Jennifer Welch? Pretty good. We discussed that one, but uh yeah, I She was fantastic. I'd love to go on her show anytime. Early Roads Productions, my daughter loves Michael after watching the movie. She made a TikTok after getting a free poster from the cinema, and it went viral with 43,000 views. That's [ __ ] cool. Congratulations. That's awesome. Nice. Did she moonwalk? What? >> I can moonwalk. Can you moonwalk? You cannot [ __ ] moonwalk. Yes, I can. Make a [ __ ] video of it. Okay. And put that [ __ ] somewhere on the internet, tag Necessary Conversation in it. I will repost it. Okay. Let's let the people decide if you can [ __ ] moonwalk. >> Okay. I'll get my whole bakery to do their best Michael Jackson dance moves and mine will be the moonwalk and I will post it and tag. Okay. Ain't no [ __ ] way you can Can you do that the airwalk? No. I've tried. I have tried so many [laughter] times. I can't do it. >> is not good. It's not good. I I look like I'm going to injure myself and then I I'm like, I probably am going to. I should stop even attempting this [ __ ] Yeah, I can't airwalk. Um I can dougie. Oh, nice. I can walk on the treadmill. I can do some squats, Mhm. couple of calf extensions. Maracy 1, "Hi Mary Lou, thanks for doing the podcast." Thank you, Maracy. She's not here, but she will appreciate the sentiment. We have two more messages to get to. Stone 39111, "Did you hear Trump's deal fell through again tonight?" So the world I haven't watched the news at all today since we shot the show, but I mean, of course. Of course, cuz he comes out and he's like, "We're close to a deal. We've almost got the deal. We're getting everything we want. Big win for America." No deal. But [ __ ] you. [ __ ] you. No deal. Of course. Um Analog 6 is our final question here. It's a new Netflix documentary coming out. >> [laughter] >> What? What is I think shh I think they mean the Michael There's a new Michael Jackson documentary coming out on Netflix. Oh, okay. I am assuming that's my assumption. Makes sense. The There's that coin. That movie's making like $700 million or something. It's It's [ __ ] just demolishing everything. >> Do you think he will go on to make more movies or do you think no? Michael Jackson? He's dead. >> Jafar? Jafar? >> No, the guy who plays Michael Jackson? Yeah, you think he's He'll go on to make more movies? He's the star of a movie that made $700 million. Yes. That's how it works, you see. This is one of the biggest problems, in my opinion, with contemporary media industry. Yeah. And and traditional media industry, also, I'll say. Um It Money's all that matters. No studio makes like, "Oh, these are our big tentpole movies that make a lot of money and these little ones, as long as they're just like kind of profitable, we do it for the art or for the interesting voice or or whatever." Mhm. They don't make any of those movies anymore. Now, it's only how much money did it [ __ ] make? And if it makes enough money, everybody involved gets to do another one. The director, the writer, the star, all of it. So, 100% I don't know what type of [ __ ] he's um into, like what he wants to do, but like for sure, within the next year, you'll see him in another movie. Mhm. [clears throat] Mhm. Or TV show or whatever. Um but that is it. That wraps up this live. Thank you everybody for joining us. We will be back on Wednesday. You're gone already, right? It'll be worth it. Um go see No, Scotland is where they have the standing stones. I've already been to Scotland. Scotland? Inverness. I've already been there. And it was awesome. >> Stones? No, I did you can't No. Um I did see the Lo Ness Monster. The Lo Ness Monster. Nessie. Yeah. Scotland was All right. Recommend. Well, there you go. There's a recommendation for Scotland and uh hopefully you'll have them for Ireland when you come back, but we will be here someone will be here on Wednesday with another episode and next Sunday with another episode.
