Hi. My dad did that once on an episode. Hi, [gasps] thanks for joining me. Oh, we already got some questions. Adriana Flores, 5529, please do a Wednesday vid showing Marylu all's policies and how they've been put into effect. I believe it would be very eyeopening to her and a good way to debunk her assumptions of him. Yeah, that's a good uh suggestion. I'm trying to line up some guests for our next few Wednesday episodes. Um, is that going to happen or not? I don't know. Booking people on podcasts is always a little bit of a crapshoot, but I am trying to get some guests for our next Wednesday
episode, but that is a good idea for sure. Um, Tony Hannibal 89, not a question. Just want to say I love the pod and looking forward to it every week. Please tell my husband Marcus hello. Hello Marcus. Love from Sydney, Australia. Thank you very much. Um, oh [ __ ] Where are we? God damn it. Oh my god, everything's going crazy. Oh [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] Okay, sorry. Um, Chad and Haley should block all real world or RWSM accounts from your parents' devices. Parental block on their TVs. I did to my parents' devices. They're unable to fix it. I don't know what RWSM
means. My apologies. Um, nor would I block any of their [ __ ] I don't I don't think that's uh productive for exactly what I'm trying to do. Robertson DB, Oklahoma read since 1964, now eighth in povert poverty, 48th in education, fourth incarceration, $7.25, I guess minimum wage, probably worse senior care staffing, but voters killed the $15 hike themselves. Blame leadership structure or voters, Mary Lou? Good question. I mean, but voters are, as we know from Trump, um, swayed by the, you know, the propaganda, the all all the [ __ ] on social media and everything else. I feel like when you get a a block of voters
voting against their best interests, I don't necessarily blame the voters for that. I think they've been brainwashed to some degree. That's what I think has happened to my parents. Um, two ices, one palm. Hey Chad, what do you think about Michael Cohen flip-flopping again back on the Trump train? What a snake. I haven't seen that. I saw that he met with him. Cohen met with Trump like LA last week maybe or the week before or something and obviously Cohen went to [ __ ] prison for Trump. Um yeah, I don't know. It's very wild like to just I guess if you're in proximity to power
and you think somehow you can angle it or leverage it so that you're going to get some benefit out of it, you'll just do whatever. But I mean that's the entire Republican party. I don't think most of the Republican party believes in Trump or or practices what they preach. You know, I think it's all a scam. Um Mickey Malooki, would all three of you consider doing a media literacy quiz? I think all three of you would be surprised at the results. Um possibly.
Maybe we could do that on on a Wednesday or something. If my sister could do Wednesdays, I don't think she can though. I think she works. But maybe we could take the quiz and discuss the results. possibly. Um, Marissa Chef, next time Maryl brings up civil, let her know coming into this country without a visa is a civil offense, not a criminal one. Oo, that's some good ammo. Thank you for that. Yeah, I will definitely do that next time. She says civil. Civil. It's just crazy to me that she thinks like somehow a civil court case means that it's not real or something or or
irrelevant in some capacity. It's still like that case was tried twice because there was the appeal and all that. In both cases, at least from what I read, nine to zero, two juries found him completely guilty. So, it's like I whether it's civil or not, that doesn't like change the fact that nine people in a jury were presented with evidence that they felt was conclusive to his guilt.
Captain Goku 2280. Hey Chad, I know this wasn't on the show, but there was breaking news on all social media about Ohio's DC for governor Amy Actton was attacked earlier today at a fair in Ohio. Holy [ __ ] I haven't seen that. Have you seen it? No, I haven't seen that. Hang on a minute. Let me let me Google attack. Let's see. Armed man confronts Ohio gubanatorial candidate Amy Actton at event. Suspect arrested. Jesus Christ. An armed person lunged at Amy Act Actton, Ohio's Democratic nominee for governor, and injured several people at a fair. A suspect Patrick Havvis, 38, was arrested according to blah blah
blah. It happened around 2:30 p.m. today. So, yeah, we had already recorded um Jesus Christ. She was speaking to a crowd at her party's tent um when the suspect approached with a cell phone set up to record the visit. And then law enforcement officials arrested Havas. He started pushing his way through the crowd. Um, two people were knocked to the ground, then they arrested him. Wow, that's [ __ ] crazy. God, that must have been scary as [ __ ] Um, glad everybody seemingly is okay, at least from this.
Davis Angel won. Two Wednesdays ago, Mary Lou said she'd do some research on Teal. What came of that? more perfect union short and vulksist long have good videos on him. Um I'm sure nothing came of it. I don't think she ever does the research. I think that's I'm the one doing the um research and then presenting it to her and then she's like I have to check that out and then she never does. That's my lot in life.
Adabama Adabama too. Have you seen pizza movie? It's pretty good. I have not seen it. I I remember it came out earlier this year or whatever on Hulu. It missed me. Sorry. Harleys Productions. I have a colleague that loves hates tea. He is team T now. Oh, Trump and thinks Marco and Scott B are smart. When I try to tell him about bad stuff that has happened Oh, that has happened like the Navy conditions. He says it's Democrats fake news. Yeah. I mean, that's how my dad is, too. I I think there is a certain kind of Trump supporter that's like evidence is meaningless. Um, you know,
and they're going to believe not only what they're told by Trump and by the Republican or the MAGA party at large, but they will use that kind of like Democrats fake news. It just to invalidate anything in their mind. So they don't even have to like go the the one step further to think about like, oh, why are people jumping off aircraft carriers? Uh, why did the Secretary of the Army resign?
[ __ ] that. Fake news doesn't exist. And then you just don't have to think about it. Snarky Shery 7913. Would Haley consider changing her approach with Mary Lou? You never speak to You'd never speak to a DV victim, a domestic violence victim that way. Same thing. Not asking Haley to change who she is. Aggression doesn't work with Maryl. Heart emoji to you all. And Bob.
Um I don't like I mean I wouldn't ask her to do that. That like you're saying, you know, that is just kind of how my sister is. She's like she got the harshness in her, but that was learned obviously by my dad and by my mom to some degree when we were little. Um I wouldn't ask her to change it. I I agree with you. It doesn't work. you have to be a little more gentle with my mom and not like push her to the brink of getting pissed or or playing the victim or whatever. Um, so I agree with you. I don't think my sister's tonal strategy
is going to work on my mom ever, but I wouldn't ask her to change it. Um, Kay Van Winkle 777, governor for Oklahoma. I doubt Mary Lou hasn't seen anything about the candidates. Mike Matsi, sorry, my eyes are going crazy. Mike Matzy has his ads everywhere. All he has is Trump's endorsement and he quote won't let China buy land. He's also for smelters. Vote Cindy Mson, Mary Lou.
Very interesting. I'm Well, I mean today on the show when I asked her point blank, are you going to vote just straight Republican now that you hold plenty of views that are essentially against the Republican party or at least in opposition to what all of the Republican candidates in her state are going to be talking about? And she said she would vote Democrat. She was like, "I'm not going to vote straight Republican." I to me, that's another big thing that we can put on the list of trying to reclaim my mom a little bit.
She wants to abolish ICE. She's for universal healthcare and now she's not going to vote straight Republican. I think we're making like real pro progress. And I know I saw some of the um uh comments in our to our YouTube video today. There were plenty of people being like, "Ah, she says she's not going to vote Republican, but she's wearing that Trump hat. [ __ ] this. She's never going to change." And I'm like, she literally just said she's not going to vote straight Republican. That again to me, another huge step forward. I think uh today we made some good progress.
Just my thoughts. Sparky 443. The way Mary Lou talks about the politicians she likes is like she thinks there are regular people just like her. Yes, I know. Um, I don't think my mom and maybe even my dad, despite my mom saying he's a genius and all this [ __ ] and he worked in finance and blah blah blah, I don't think either one of them understand what a billionaire is, like how far removed that person is from any kind of regular human life. that like to not only never have to worry about money in any capacity, but to also have enough of it
to do anything you want at any time, including build a spaceship and go into space, buy the biggest and most powerful government in the world, the United States government. Just buy it, just like [ __ ] write checks and now you own it and you can control it. I don't think they understand like how much money a billion dollars is and what that actually means in terms of what you're able to do with it. And certainly these are not people just like the rest of us.
Katie Jarvis1017, please consider recording a please rate this podcast version with Mary Lou to outro. For those who don't know, I do another podcast called Game of Roses that's about reality television, specifically dating formats where we treat it like a sport. And I've been secretly training players to infiltrate various franchises, Love is Blind, uh Bachelor, Love Island, etc. Um, and for that podcast, I made a little song that goes at the end of every one of our episodes called Please Rate This Podcast. You can go check that out if you like. Um, Bamarella 24, can you do the live earlier? We need Mary
Lou. Um, Jesus, can I do the live earlier? I maybe I can try and step it up. problem is I have to we record the show, then I have to edit the show, post the show, and then I'm cutting clips so that we can get the clips out and all that kind of stuff. It's just it's a matter of time. Could I do it earlier? I could maybe do it 10 minutes earlier. Is that [laughter] going to help? Probably not.
I'll see what I can do. Maybe we can change the schedule. Midwife Chels, founder of Heritage Foundation, or behind Project 2025, is on tape saying, "I don't want everybody to vote. Our leverage in the elections quite candidly goes up as the voting populace goes down. Um, one of two. Oh, there must be another one of these somewhere. I don't know where. Oh, is this it? And then here's two of two. Um, the founder was Paulie Hayrick. He died in '08, but Heritage Foundation has been working on this for decades. Um, yes. I don't think though that my mom cares. Like we talked about that earlier today in the in the
show when I was like um you know do you think everybody should be able to vote and she's like well the right people should be able to vote. And so in her mind the right people being able to vote is like whoever Trump says whoever Heritage Foundation and Project 2025 says is the right people. So basically white Christian Americans. Um, I don't think she cares if most people don't get to vote as long as her candidate wins and the in quotes right people vote. So, I think even presenting her with this information would be kind of like I don't think she'd care or she may even
be on their side. I don't know. Adab Adama too tell Mary Lou the difference between proof and wild speculation. You're talking about logic and [ __ ] now that don't work on her. We know this. Oompas Y1QT. Can you get Marylu or Bob to describe what an anecdote is and why you shouldn't rely on them? Constant saying, "But we're doing better." I mean, I try to do that on the Wednesday shows cuz my mom a lot of times, you know, I'm I'm generally trying to show her clips that are like from news programs or at least people reporting actual like events, actual news. And in many cases, she'll
show me clips on Wednesdays that are just like people like crazy maniacs ranting into Instagram just like, "Fuck you. I hate everything. This is [ __ ] Look at this fucker." And I'm just like, "What is this? This there's no news here. There's nothing. This is just a person lying and yelling in your face." Um, I fact checked one of her clips that was a guy just like ranting.
I forget what it was about. This is last Wednesday, I think, or maybe it was this most recent one, but I fact checked it kind of live and the guy was just like straight making [ __ ] up. Uh, and I I always do try to get her to understand like just watching some person on Instagram doesn't mean that it's right, but she has a hard time with that. I think that's all boomers, honestly.
And I'm getting there myself. Uh, Commander Gary 681. Hey Chad, should data centers be banned or do we need regulations for them? And why? I think we need AI to help us. World issues, global warming, energy. Yeah, I mean AI is like I know everybody hates it. I don't hate the technology. I think the technology is actually good and valuable and is like pressing us forward as a a society. I am not in favor of how it's being used by these tech billionaires. I think they have like extreme malicious intent and I think that their goals are to effectively control humanity in in
one way or another, whether that's controlling food or money or politics or whatever. all of it, I guess, which is what they're kind of trying to do now. Um, but I think ultimately the technology is like computers. Uh, but it's not quite as inert like a computer can't do something by itself. The thing that makes AI crazy is like AI agents where you can just kind of like make one and be like, "Hey, you know, I don't know that anybody's done this exact thing yet, but you could make one and say, figure out a way to give everybody a billion dollars. I want everybody on the
planet who has a bank account to have a billion dollars in their bank account enter and then it will just work on that like it will just keep doing that forever trying to figure out a way to do that you know and so I think like on a long enough timeline with with AI like once it really gets boiled down and we all kind of have access to [ __ ] like that I think just like everything else money computers any kind of technology or like societal invention we have created it will be about who is using it and for what purpose the data centers
So, I mean, that shit's [ __ ] wild. Like, how fast they're they're going up and how much damage they're doing and stuff. And that [ __ ] tweet that Trump put out where he's like, "You got to have a [ __ ] data center in your backyard or your whole community is going to [ __ ] go down in flames and you'll be poor and all that shit." That shit's [ __ ] crazy. I think 100% AI needs to be regulated by our government though. Like, they don't know [ __ ] [ __ ] They're all idiots and in most cases they're like in bed with the the
tech billionaires who run all these companies. So I'm like could our government even be the ones to regulate it? It almost feels like there needs to be some kind of um independent like third party AI watchdog thing that's issuing those regulations because for sure it's going way too fast now. Um and there's no regulation. All these stories are coming out about AI's breaking out of their sandboxes and like blackmailing people at the company or the um Open AI their one of their latest models broke out of the sandbox and hacked Hugging Face this other AI website you know which is like it's my understanding
that's a felony but because an AI did it no one can be charged. It's it's really crazy like how fast it's going. Um, you know, but I I can't say that like I wouldn't use AI to do [ __ ] Like if you use a an Apple product, a Google product, a Meta product, any of that, you're already using AI. Whether you think you're using it or not, you're [ __ ] using it. So, it's in all of our [ __ ] Like, there's no way around that at this point. And you can say like, I don't use chat GBT or I don't use
generative AI. And that's fine. That's like a choice you can make. But if you have a cell phone, you are using AI. If you have a computer, you are using AI and you are supporting the companies that are putting billions of dollars into this [ __ ] and that are uh building these data centers. I think like, you know, with any industry, there's always in the beginning of it, it's like very environmentally damaging. People are getting [ __ ] over. This is true of like any industry. Uh AI maybe more so because it's like on such a break neck pace, but I don't know. We're in very
weird times. I don't feel like I have a good handle on like uh you know how good or bad it is. I just know that it's happening. For sure it's not slowing down. For sure it's getting there are like more data centers and [ __ ] but I wish it could be regulated. I just don't know who's going to do that. Uh Michael Madden 9451. Good day.
Whenever Trump tries to do some dodgy shady [ __ ] Maryl says it doesn't matter because someone will stop it. Does that logic apply to everything? What about burglary? Attempted murder? Ask Maryl. Uh that Yeah, it's [ __ ] wild to me, too. That's one of her main like kind of defense strategies when I'm like, well, Trump is trying to kill all the horses. Well, that'll never happen. But she can't take that extra step to be like, but he's he's trying to do it. He's trying to murder all the horses and turn them into meat. Like, is that the guy that is your president? The person who's
trying to do this [ __ ] that you hope will be stopped. She can never like quite turn that corner. Well, I think once we get her there, we may we may have something. John Moroni been a fan since TMP. Thank you very much. Always fascinated with your beliefs. You become spiritual sense, but do you still dislike organized religions? Well, um, yeah, back in the TMP 10-minute podcast is what TMP stands for. I definitely was like a hardcore atheist, and I'm definitely not now. Um, I don't know.
Organized religions to me are whatever. If you like them, [ __ ] have fun. You know, I guess, but they like all governments at this point are just money-making scams in my opinion. Like, why does the Catholic Church have so much [ __ ] money? Why does the Mormon church have so much [ __ ] money? Isn't that like exactly against the teachings of Jesus Christ? So, it feels to me like um that's just me. This is my two cents.
Like I said, whatever anyone believes, whatever helps you get through this world, this [ __ ] life, enjoy if it does do that for you. For me, it ain't the way. For me, it's more about kind of like uh woo woo [ __ ] human consciousness, exploring that kind of stuff by myself and just trying to [ __ ] see what I see. Bunkerton's two jewels 100. Thank you. Don't know what it means. Doubles or dubles. When Mary Lou responds with I think he meant about anything this administration says, correct her and say you hope he meant.
Um yeah, that's another one of her weird defense things. That's He didn't mean it. He was just joking. Well, that's never gonna happen. She has like all these little triggers psychologically that anytime she's faced with certain evidence that Trump is bad or any of the people around him is are bad, that's what she does. It's very annoying. Davis Angel won gas in Atlanta before Trump 267 now 439. I just [ __ ] read a a thing um like maybe 45 minutes ago saying this Labor Day is going to be the highest gas prices, gasoline prices ever in the history of the United States.
Like how do you [ __ ] argue against that? That that's a good thing since but I mean I have seen Trump saying that people don't care. They'll pay a little bit more for gasoline if they're mag.
Taylor Sexton 3532. research all the things Trump done to disabled community to show Mary Lou since it will affect Bob. Interesting. Um I don't know what he's done specifically, but yeah, that could be very interesting because my dad certainly is like at this point extremely disabled. Daniel St. Louis 2163. He Chad, such a good show. Or maybe hey Chad probably such a good show. You guys have me yelling at my TV like a crazy [laughter] person.
Well, I hope it's not you're not yelling too loudly and your neighbors aren't um getting too pissed off at you, but thank you very much for watching. Uh, and thank you for the compliment. MC G, your future producer. Hi, Chad. Did you get my email? I sent Tuesday night. Time spent. Yes, I did get it. Thank you very much for sending it. I just didn't have time this week to go through it all and pull clips because I thought we were going to have a guest and then as always with podcast booking, like you book people and then it just falls through and scheduling and blah blah blah blah
blah. But I did get the email. Thank you very much. Uh, and I'm going to use those time codes at some point in the future. Maryl seemed very worn out today. Hope she continues to make progress. Yeah, she was a little tired, I think. Uh, and I think my sister came in like super [ __ ] hot [laughter] just out of the gate. [ __ ] you. And I think that like it drains my mom pretty quickly. you know, if she doesn't if if we don't kind of like ease into the conversations at the beginning and let her do her diddies and have a little
chitchat, she can, I think, get like burnt pretty quick, you know. Um, the Robert Meyers Plus Tech operon. What about Crower [laughter] to another podcast that I used to do called Dudesy where [snorts] um, God that show was so fun to do. We would like a bunch of people who are in the audience of that show would constantly be like making memes and songs and stuff like that. And we had this guy songia um who made a god how do you even explain this to somebody who's never seen it. So the crow the movie the crow somehow featured heavily into a lot of like the writing and stuff that I was
doing on that show uh just because I like that movie. And then we did this bit where Robert Dairo would do crows. So my friend Will would do his impersonation of Robert Dairo and he would read these poems that I would write about the crow but in Robert Dairo's voice. And then uh songaria took one of those things and made it into this amazing song that had a lyric in it that said crow upper echelon and I'll never forget it. Thank you for reminding me. Um McKenna Hickeyi 9467 Mary Lou said on 8/19 that's okay too your body about abortion. Can you point out to her
that is a pro-choice stance even though she wouldn't herself? I believe I have said this to her that she is pro-choice and she's like, "No, I'm not. I'm pro-life." Um, but certainly if we revisit that, I'll I'll bring it up. Dr. Nimrod, Ireland is very unhappy. Diaper dump is coming here. I I mean, that to me is like some of the best [ __ ] ever is when Trump goes to other countries and there's just people at the airport waiting to [ __ ] boo him. I love it. Um, I I know that that [ __ ] gets to him. He's so thin skinned.
like the he dyed his [ __ ] hair brown because of the thing we're talking about today, the Rose Garden when he comes out and does that speech and it's [ __ ] all sweating and looks like he's literally dying. Um, and then like two days later he's like, "Check me out. I've got a youthful brown hairdo now. He's such a thin skinned little baby.
Please in uh Ireland, take him down for us." Not literally, but you know what I mean. Take him down a notch psychologically. Protest him. Two ices, one palm. Suggestion, tell Mary Lou to put on a detective hat. She's always saying she a great [laughter] PI. Good PIs investigate both sides. But we're deciding they've cracked the case. I should buy her that. I should buy her one of those like Sherlock Holmes little hats and send it to her. I'll have to do my research. Wear your hat. Dubles. The fact that Mary Lou thought she was Jewels only friend on Wednesday show says a lot about how Mary Lou sees and
interacts with the world. Well, I think for my mom, probably Jules was like one of her only friends, you know, because she is like other than dealing with my dad, my mom is like dealing with her horse and that's about it. Uh driving to and from Arby's to deliver my dad his roast beef sandwiches. That that's about it. So, I think, you know, Jules was like one of her really good friends. Um maybe her only really good friend. And I think she just probably thought that that was reciprocated.
Tiffster 0412, please have Will Sasso on the necessary conversation to rep Canada. #doozy. Uh, I'm not sure Will would do that. [laughter] And I I wouldn't want to put that on him, honestly. Um, where do you want where do you want it, Skinner? You should highlight more of Marylu hypocrisy. You can't be pro- mass deportation and pro-life when you're deporting children to places where cartels run wild. Uh, we have talked about that on the show. We have talked about like, you know, that she claims to be pro- life and and saved the kids and blah blah blah blah blah, but she's supporting Trump who literally blew up a
[ __ ] school full of children in Iran. We definitely have have pointed out that hypocrisy to her and she just kind of like it's like water off a duck's back. It just doesn't [ __ ] land with her for some reason. Um, and I think that's, you know, it's a symptom also of MAGA, but like any cult, people don't like even if you point out the hypocrisy in the ideology that they're adhering to, it's so hard to get them to see that, accept it, and then also absorb that into what will have to be an internal change of their own identity, the way
they see themselves. So if if you tell her that and it's like, well, Trump blew up the school for the children, but you say you're for the kids. And she would have to be like, [ __ ] you're right. Trump's against the kids. Well, I guess I'm not MAGA anymore. And and as I've said in many of these lives, I think that final kind of step is such a huge one. Not just for MAGA, but for anybody who is like altering a significant piece of their psychology to become basically a new identity or even in this case it would be an identity opposed to the one
that my mom has held for, you know, whatever 10 years, however long it's been since Trump came onto the scene. Um, I just think that's like it's a huge ask and I don't think it will ever be done in like one shot or like pointing out hypocrisy and she's like, "Oh, [ __ ] Yep. I guess I have been a hypocrite. [ __ ] Donald Trump." I think it's like what we've been doing over the the past four years is obviously working. we've got her to like change her mind on some very big positions and uh hopefully we'll just keep doing it, you know, and
eventually she's going to come to that point where and I don't it may require something to happen like in the world a little bit too like it may require Trump to not run this in this next presidential or to try to you know it may require him to cross one of these red lines that she has talked about so often on the show him running for a third term uh appearing in the Epstein files in some meaningful way dropping having a nuclear bomb in Iran. You know, those things may be a part of that, too.
Abe the dog, do you think that they would support JD Vance for press? Yeah, I do. I 100% do, but I don't think he I don't think it would matter. I think there's like they're doing it only out of obligation to like the shadow or the echo of the MAGA party. And I think this is true probably for most MAGA, not just my parents. Like I don't think they are buying JD Vance sneakers and cologne and [ __ ] like they do Trump. Like they love Trump. He is their god. JD Vance is not that. So I don't know. I don't think he
would have the juice to get like all of MAGA. My parents are pretty deep into the [ __ ] So I think probably he would get them, but I don't think he would get all of MAGA. I think there'd be a lot of people that stay home for that vote. Eric G797. Chad, one time you gave a sarcastic congrats to the New York Knicks. I guess why? PS, you definitely fit in with the Lakers. L [laughter] um I don't like the Knicks. I didn't want to see them win. This is just sports talk now, of course. You know, I I don't know how many times I've had
this dream where I'm playing for the Lakers and it's always a thing that's like, okay, you know, get in there and then I play better than expected slightly uh for my age and height. But um I just love basketball and I [ __ ] up my knee just kind of like shooting baskets in the gym so I'll never be able to play again which is very sad to me except in my dreams where I'm playing for the [ __ ] Lakers who are now owned by like uh MAGA controllers which I don't like at all. And honestly I pro I mean I live in LA but god what team do I
really want to like watch now now that LeBron is gone that's price to the Lakers. I mean, I want to see what Luca can do as like the kind of soul star. I don't know. Captain Goku 2280. Hey Chad, why doesn't Mary Lou or Bob believe in experts opinions on experiences in what they say or do even though they are ones who is helping Bob out with his problems? I think it's I don't know. I mean, I think a lot about this. This is just my two cents like I'm not a psychologist or a psych a psychiatrist or any of those things but
I think there is something about like my parents are both very adversarial you know like that's the enemy and everything the enemy does is wrong and I think um in cases where they are not in complete control of something like if an expert is brought in to like weigh in and say like well I've spent 20 years studying climate change and here's what's going on immediately it's It's like, "Fuck you. You don't know [ __ ] You're the adversary." And so I discount everything you say and do. And in this case, too, because my dad like looked at weather charts as part of his job, he
believes he knows more than anyone else, which is obviously not true because they don't believe in in um climate change. But I think that has to do with it that they view anybody who uh they perceive as exerting some kind of control, expertise, higher knowledge, whatever, than my parents. They view them as an adversary and therefore everything they say is invalidated to my parents. LDGXC1886 Chad, did you betray your principles by assisting Trump grift Mary Lou through the sale of his worthless gold coin that should belong in a dumpster fire? Did I betray my principles by buying my mom a Trump coin? No, I don't think I did because
the Trump coin was a $4.50 purchase. It made my mom happy and it's going to make her trust me more and be more willing to hear what I have to say. So, was it worth $4.50 to do that? Yes. In my opinion, yes. Uh I don't believe that it betrayed my principles by assist by assisting the Trump grift. I I don't think my $4.50 contribution did anything to the Trump Grift. Um, he's made $4.2 billion dollars, I think, at this point.
Um, so you tell me. Kan 13, how do you think Marylu feels knowing that the families of the soldiers who were killed in Iran being denied wartime benefits? No formal declaration/war. Is that that's not why they're being denied benefits though, right? And the one I remember reading the story. This happened this week, too. It was the wife, right, of one of the guys who died basically was like, "They're not uh [ __ ] paying us. They're not acknowledging this." And then JD Vance was asked about it maybe in that press conference and he said that they would do their best to to get them all helped
out and everything, which I think is probably true. As much as like we know that Trump has no respect for the military and everything, I think they all understand it looks real bad when we're literally in the war and people who have died in it, their families are not getting benefits from the United States government. I think they know that optically that's a horrible thing to to do and they will try to fix it.
Um, thank you everybody who has Oh my god, where did it go? Who has put in a super chat? I'm going to turn them off now and read through the rest of them, but thank you very much everybody who has put them in thus far. Turning them off now. And there it goes. Okay. Um, Harley Rose Productions, I didn't know you were vegan. Yes, I am. Did you used to eat everything before? Yes, I did. I ate meat den.
Meat den. Oh, then maybe. I ate meat, then pescatarian, then veggie, then vegan. But doc said I have to eat more protein, so I started eggs. Vegan food in Canada sucks. Is it better dare in LA? I I mean, [ __ ] I don't know, like worldwide, but I have to imagine LA is probably one of the best vegan cities on planet Earth. There are so many like very good vegan restaurants here that everything is vegan on the menu. And most restaurants, even if it's not, have like one or two pretty good vegan things that that you can um that you can get into. I like I I
used to eat everything. I used to eat like a [ __ ] In-N-Out Double Double every other day for lunch, but then I got cancer and I just read a lot about um how to change your diet to like fight cancer. And that turned me vegan real [ __ ] fast. And I have not looked back. And now the idea of eating meat repulses me to each their own. for me.
That [ __ ] grotesque. Um, Sparky 443. Chad, will you buy Elder Scrolls 6 when it's out? This is what I'm about to say is probably the worst thing that I've ever said in my life, but it's the truth. I now cannot play Xbox because it hurts my [ __ ] wrists. That's what happens to you when your age advances. video games become impossible to play physically because it hurts your [ __ ] hands. So, will I be buying Elder Scrolls 6 when it comes out?
Sadly, no. Nor GTA 6. I I really at this point can't play video games anymore without extreme [laughter] pain in my wrists. What a [ __ ] sad state of affairs. Davis Angel, why is dad the Oracle? Love Day today. Laugh my ass out. Yeah, she had some good little zingers in her um Total Recall references and [ __ ] God, Total Recall is one of the greatest movies of all time. If you've never seen it, check it out. It's one of Schwarzenegger's bests. Archangel01.
Did you hear about Libby Cliner whose husband died in Iran and not receiving tax breaks and has her pay because it was not a war? Yeah, that's that's what I was just talking about. So, that's what her name was. Libby Cliner. Maybe I'll put that. Let me um let me put that up here. Let me clar not getting benefits for husband in war. Um that might be a topic for next week.
Jack Zilkin. Mr. Global is bizarro. Bob, please look him up. Somebody else mentioned Mr. Global last week. I will have to look into this. Adobama 2, please look up her November ballot and give her info on the specific candidates. Do the research that you know she won't. She intends to, but we know she won't. That actually will be a pretty interesting one once what is it now? September 6th. So, we'll probably start getting that information. Maybe that could be a good Wednesday episode just going through all the candidates in Oklahoma with her that she's going to be voting for. That could be a pretty
decent episode. I'll check that out. Thank you. Um, Jana Doll Mary Lou thinks T. Trump is a good businessman. Does she know that he was broke when he took the acting job on The Apprentice? At the time, that show was his main source of money. Ratings fell, so he ran for president to promote the show. True. Um, we have brought up to her multiple times when she says he's a good businessman that like he's been found guilty of criminal [ __ ] financial fraud a million times. All of these different thing. He took money from the children's cancer thing. Uh, Trump University, Trump stakes, Trump casino, all these
business endeavors that have gone bankrupt. But, you know, he claims that that bankruptcy was like actually a good thing on a business level cuz he got money out of it or whatever. And my parents believe that [ __ ] that like there's this hardcore evidence that all of his business [ __ ] failed. The only thing that worked was The Apprentice. And that's because it was created by Mark Brunett, the guy who created Survivor, who obviously knows how to make a a pretty good TV show. Um, also though, it's rumored that Mark Bernett, the creator of The Apprentice, has on tape Donald Don Trump saying racial
slurs like while they were shooting the show basically, like in between takes and stuff. And that those tapes are in a [ __ ] vault somewhere, which I 100% believe because Mark Bernett is a super crazy right-wing Christian. Um, and probably is Trump is like, you know, part of fighting against the Antichrist or whatever. But uh yeah, we've definitely brought that up with my mom before that Trump is not the businessman she thinks he is. Melanie Richardson, C61, it was so good to have Haley's spirited addition to the podcast today. Go Haley.
I know. I I like having her back like we need that that little fiery kind of energy that she can deliver cuz I tend to not do that. I just I sometimes I'll get like flustered or whatever if my mom says something [ __ ] crazy. But generally speaking, I try to keep it pretty even so we can just have a conversation. My sister's not about the evenness.
Crystal Tillier 8903. Chad, I heard you haven't given X-Men 97 a chance. Please reconsider. The references to the story lines would tickle any '9s comic book lover. X-Men 97 is the cartoon that came out um not that long ago, right? Where they they kind of did a redo of the old X-Men 90s cartoon. I think I think that's what it is. Look, I'll tell you what I'm doing right now. What I watch before I go to bed every night is a little anime called Sword Art Online. I realized I never finished it and I'm like I it's seinal. That's a seinal work of
animation. So, I'm re-watching that right now. Um, and eventually going to complete it and get through the pieces that I didn't watch, but maybe I'll put X-Men 97 on my my list after that. Beth, is it a culture family tradition to only always wear black? I saw a family Christmas card on Haley's Instagram and you guys were all in black, even the kids. Uh, that I don't know. I think I wear the same outfit every day all day, which is the one I'm wearing now. It's just like a black pocket t-shirt and black pants. Um, my sister, I believe, also is is pretty much exclusively
wearing black. I don't know about her kids. Maybe she dressed them or like forced that upon them at some point and now they're, you know, they're older and they're expressing their individuality more through fashion. I don't know. Um, my mom certainly wears things that are not black, but there was, and I think I made a video of this when I went back Not this most recent time in June, but a time prior. Um, my mom and I were wearing the exact same outfit down to the same [ __ ] shoes. And it was not planned. We did not coordinate this [ __ ] [laughter] We just literally were
like had the exact same wardrobe. So, I don't know. Maybe it's something in the jeans. Miracy one. What's the difference between being MAGA and not being MAGA? What's the simplest distinction? Is it not defending Trump when he is evidently wrong? Yeah, I would say that is it. At least for me, that's what it is. It's like the the unending defense of Donald Trump in every circumstance, even when he's lying, even when he's found guilty in a court of law, etc., etc., etc., that's MAGA. If you're not that, if you can see reason, then you're not really MAGA. And that's kind of where my mom is like just at
that last thread, she's denouncing so [snorts] much of the [ __ ] that he's doing. like almost everything that he's doing other than like well he closed the border beyond that she has gone against every policy he has made in the you know last whatever six months or so the war like all of it and so it's just that one last little thing that just has to have her saying he's not good um and that's basically it at least in my opinion. Midwife Chell will you be covering the upcoming Traiers new blood season on Kasagore?
Yes, I haven't watched the recording yet, but what were your thoughts on Love Island reunion in 20 seconds or less? Underwhelming. And Melanie and Kada were really punching down and it looked very bad for them. I thought, and I think everyone agreed because Kada lost 120,000 cumulative followers literally in 24 hours after the airing of that reunion. Uh, which is pretty [ __ ] wild. But that's 20 seconds or less.
Thank you very much. Midwife Chells Harley Rhodess Productions. Can you give me advice on how to get my children's book Max and Rosy's Fishtastic Adventures more transaction? I am terrible at marketing. Uh I mean, [ __ ] I don't know, a children's book. You got to have It's like anything. You got to have an Instagram and a Tik Tok and a YouTube and a all that stuff and just start pumping it out. That's pretty much it. You might want to do a uh I'd probably try to do like a Is it a nighttime book? Is it something you can read to your kid and they fall asleep?
You might want to do like a, you know, ASMR kind of book on tape type thing. Put that out there. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know much about children's books. My apologies, Harley Rhodess Productions. Um, Midwife Chills, did you work on MAD TV? No, I did not, but my good friend Will Sasso did. And I had another friend who was a writer on Mad TV back in the day um named Mike Comman who went on to produce stuff with um Nathan Fielder and uh How to with John Wilson and was like one of the funniest people that I've ever met in my
life, but I never worked on it. Greg Caner speaks in third person. Isn't it time to convey to Mary Lou that saying that isn't good isn't good enough without direct condemnation of person and action. It's an endorsement. Um, yeah, we've we've kind of been saying that to her, but I I still think that like my mom doesn't respond well to just kind of like in your face like you have to condemn him. Saying that isn't good isn't good enough. You've got to do more. It's not going to work on her. She has to come to this of her own valition in her own time. She has to make this
decision. Like I don't think we're gonna get a moment on the show where it's like we say something and she's like, "Fuck, you're right. I'm against Trump now." I think it's going to be something that happens for her off the show and she's going to just come to the show one day and be like, "Well, you know, I I've been thinking a lot and we've been doing this podcast for a long time and I'm not a Trump supporter anymore." I think that's probably how it's going to happen, but I don't know.
I could be wrong. Maybe it is. Maybe my sister will browbe her into denouncing Trump on the show. I don't know. Mercy one, I will never forget two things from this podcast. Number one, your sister stabbed you with a corn poker. [laughter] She did. Two, Bob is the only guy to trade gas, oil, and weather. Yeah, he's one of only a few people in the world. Um he was trying to explain that to me. I remember back in the day when he had still had a job and everything, like how they trade weather. It's basically like cowshi. Um preci. Um, but yeah, I'm glad that you
have those two takeaways. Those are two very important takeaways. I'll never forget getting stabbed by her. I was so [ __ ] pissed. She [ __ ] hit me with it. I was bleeding out of my [ __ ] gut. And then I go and tell my parents. She [ __ ] got me with a corn thing and I'm bleeding. She [ __ ] stabbed me.
And they laughed. There was no discipline. There was no reprimand even. Just laughter at my blood, at my pain. Ben Carmichael Zero. Marylu being pretty hypocritical today. If you do do an episode creating Marylu's procon list, I think it makes the followup easier to question her beliefs. Yeah, I I want to be able to um play some clips back for her of herself. That's just kind of a project that is there's a lot of editing that goes into that and uh it's just a matter of trying to find the time. But I I agree with you. I think that's something showing her herself and what
she has said about the procon list. Um, and being like, well, here's here's all the evidence of like what you used to think and how you think now. I think that will help. Um, Commander Aliado in7 FDT FDT FDT FD FDT FDT and FDT. Oh, this is probably [ __ ] Donald Trump. I think I got that one right. Thank you. Aaron E. Bumblebee. Donald Trump stated on Truth Social that he makes hundreds of billions of dollars on stocks and holdings for the United States rather than for himself. Fancy that. I mean, what does that even mean? Like the United States can't buy stocks. He can
What does that even mean? He's such a like corrupt piece of [ __ ] That's the thing that really for me anyway. Like all the other [ __ ] you might be able to rationalize. Okay, he's in the Epstein files as my mom says. He was just going it's business meetings. Okay, fine. Whatever. The war. Well, they have a nuclear weapon. Okay. How do you justify the corruption? How do you justify him making $4 billion as president by selling [ __ ] to other countries?
basically access to himself. That part I don't [ __ ] get. I uh that's the most confusing thing to me about MAGA supporters is like they just don't care that he's [ __ ] stealing money from the country. Yogo, apart from the PDF files, oh pedophile file list, what do you think it will take to primarily away from the cult? Like I was saying, I think she's coming to it like by herself. I think she's getting there and it's just a matter of like keep the foot on the gas, keep doing the episodes, keep having the conversations and obviously like things happening in the
world have some effect on her too. I think this war in Iran the longer it goes on like the harder it gets for her to defend it. She keeps or she keeps saying well I hope he gets us out of it soon and it's like it's already been 190 [ __ ] days and he started the war. that line of reasoning I think is working on her and I think that's part of why you've seen these changes in her in the like during the Iran war. It's like trickle down almost that is so [snorts] bad in her mind that it gets her to say abolished and it gets her to
say she may not vote straight Republican in this next election. Um so I think it's it's a matter of both of those things. It's continuing the conversation and it's unfortunately seeing like the situation in the world in in whatever capacity specifically in this case with the Iran war seeing that situation get bad enough that it's like undeniable to her. David Cabanis 9121 Chad ease on the teasing of Haley for her absence. I understand that it's family banter, but it's no less displeasing to see you and Marylu throw her under. Saying she's gallivanting just comes off as demeaning. My apologies. I didn't mean it that way. It
is just to me just jokey [ __ ] I don't care that she was gallivanting or or whatever. I know she went through a tough time going through the airport and having all her luggage uh lost and all the the [ __ ] Um but yeah, I don't I don't actually care that she's gone or anything when she has to go do her [ __ ] obviously. My apologies again if it came off that way. Justin X2V1K, hey [clears throat] Chad, what do you think about Trump saying he wants to change New Mexico to New America? What the [laughter] [ __ ] I haven't seen
that. Oh my [ __ ] god. Oh, Jesus Christ. So, [laughter] okay. I hope he does it. I hope we get New Mexico becomes [ __ ] New America. I live in Santa Fe, New America. [laughter] What a [ __ ] idiot. But that type of [ __ ] too. I think we talk about it on the show because it's so [ __ ] crazy.
But I think he does that stuff to just like try to distract, you know, people as well. It's like he's not changing the [ __ ] name of lakes and gulfs and states and [ __ ] now. That's [ __ ] insane. New America. Jesus Christ. I got to look that [ __ ] up. What an idiot. Kvens McGee. Someone will stop him. Is Marylu expecting the deep state to save the USA?
Maybe. Maybe. That'll never happen. Yeah, that that probably is the next question I should ask her after that'll never happen. Like, well, why won't it happen? Somebody will stop him. Who? I don't know. I could see that path. I could see that path maybe unlocking something for her. Oh. Oh, keep that in mind. Thank you, Cribins. McGee, Kimry Crawford, I know one of the people that went to prison for January 6th.
Don't judge me. From deep south, this is a judgment free zone. Kimry Crawford. And even he has now denounced Donald John Trump. Laugh my ass off, Maryl. Come on, girl. Damn. [laughter] Wow. Did he get pardoned? And he's denouncing Trump. That's That's pretty wild. Midwife Chelling for someone in the chat. Undocumented immigrants can't read road signs, but they can read ballots. Oh, wish I had that one. Wish I had that one up my sleeve. Well, some of them can't read the road signs and they're the ones driving the trucks. Um, yeah, I should have I should have [ __ ] put two and
two together. That's a really good one. I'm locking that in. It's in there. Laser McDanger 1370. Tell Mary Lou that truth social AI even says Trump is the worst president ever. A guy on YouTube just asked 10 AIS and five said Trump, including his own platform. [laughter] This is like to that prior question about the AIs. I It is It is scary. I'm not discounting like them them breaking out, the AI agents breaking out and like hacking other websites and [ __ ] is [ __ ] insane. And it's like the people who are making this [ __ ] can't even control them and don't know how they're
doing it and all this. But there is some funny [ __ ] being done with AI, too. And this specifically that you're talking about that [ __ ] even Truth Social is like, "Yeah, Donald Trump's a piece of [ __ ] That's hilarious." Oh my god. Aaron Bumblebee PDF library from New York is going on tour. Oh, is that the thing where they have all the pages printed out and like in binders and stuff and you go in a little room and you're just like surrounded by every page of the Epste or whatever half of the pages of the Epstein file. I didn't realize that they're going on
tour. I might have to go check that out when it comes to LA. Maybe I'll make a little video. Uh, Dubles, if you can get Monty Madre on before Bob comes back, I think she could get through to Mary Lou, but your dad would hate her. Love the show. She's over 30, right? That's all my dad requires. Uh, oh, Mont Monty Mater is her name. Sorry. Um, Pop PBR or Popber or Pope Burr. The world needs to know once and for all how to pronounce Haley's last name. She says it's pop, but you say it's Pope. Pop is a pretty cool last name. Love the pod.
Look, all I can say is at one time it was Pope. That's what I was told by the people in that family, my sister included. Now it's Pop. I'm I'm down for the name change. I'm willing to do it. It'll take a while for it to switch into my brain, but now I believe per her her more recent admissions, it is pronounced pop. That's my personal belief. That's what I understand is true. I could be wrong.
Cold Viper 18. What's your favorite Sasso movie? Oh my god. [snorts] It's It's hard to say cuz there's some that I think like like my favorite movie that he's ever been in is probably Happy Gilmore. That's a hard one to beat. That movie just like hit me at the right time. It was like a cert, you know, one of Adam Sandler's first really [ __ ] funny movies and he's in it for, you know, like a split second or whatever. He he plays like a moving guy. But um yeah, I'd say that's probably my my favorite Sasso movie. He's in it. That counts, right? Um Lee
KY, my parasocial older brother. Oh, hello. Hope you're doing well. What's your thoughts on Hinduism, Eastern philosophies as it relates to your meditations? Um I I don't know that I am qualified to like talk about that. I haven't gone like too deep into it. I've read some um kind of Buddhist stuff or whatever, but I think like from what I know about all religions, which is like not a lot about some, more about others, whatever, they all have similar kind of elements that I do think are are talking about or angled toward our ability to use human consciousness to like have visions or see different
[ __ ] or unlock certain things or, you know, whatever. Um, I definitely am like way more open to all that kind of stuff, like the fundamental principles of some of these religions, uh, than I ever was before. I hope that answered your question. Cruz Ted Zach 3219. Do you believe in metaphysical entities and what are your thoughts on them? Yeah, I do. Um, my thoughts I don't I don't know. It's hard to say. you know, Carl Sean, who was like one of my childhood and adulthood heroes, used to talk about um basically like the potentiality of beings that exist or like entities or
consciousnesses that exist outside of our three-dimensional existence. And he would liken it to um like if there was a creature that lived on a piece of paper, for example, it would live in two dimensions. There there is no like depth. you only have length and width. And if you passed an apple through that, like through a piece of paper, basically that uh entity that lives on the paper would just see like a circle getting bigger and then getting smaller as the apple passes through it. And that entity would be like, "What the [ __ ] was that?"
Never knowing that there was a three-dimensional apple passing through that plane. So I think like metaphysical entities may be some version of that that is some higher dimensional being passing through our rudimentary three dimensions and it appears to us and we're like what the [ __ ] and then it disappears because we're only seeing that that little sliver of what it actually is. That's what I think maybe it is but I don't [ __ ] know. Maybe it's just hallucinations. I have no [ __ ] idea. None of us do. Um but it is fun to think about and fun to mess around with. Scott 5107. Have Mary Lou
watched The Brainwashing of My Dad by Jen Senko, pre-Trump. It explains how right-wing Fox, etc. gets them hooked on hate. I asked months back. I have seen that movie. Oh, see. God, is there any way I could get my mom to watch that? Maybe I'll try it. I think I've asked her to watch it and she has not. This Strange Place 22. Did you know that Will is a professional actor by trade?
Prof by trade. He's a professional actor. I didn't know that. I knew he was a prof professional actor, but by trade. Learn something new every day. Bunkertons, taking pity on you, Unkol. The jewels are an option to send through the YouTube live chat. They are a fun little extra hashtag can't read screens. Look, here's here's my big problem. Okay, I got these. These are what I wear when I read things like this book. Okay. um or Magic cards.
That's that's what I really use these glasses for is to play Magic cards. But I now can't see the chat because these things magnify [ __ ] up close. Now I can't see anything like beyond 2 feet away. So I have to take them off. Now the real problem is I can see the chat that I have on this little screen in front of me here, but not well. That's the real problem. Just well enough to barely be able to read it. And that's um how it's going to be. That's unknown life. Stoner girl softball. Mary Lou, maybe Bob was a genius in his time, but
things have changed. We know things now that we couldn't have known. For example, we can solve crimes with DNA and couldn't before. Nope. That's not how they see it. The world to them, but I think like most generations are like this. The world gets crystallized for you when you're like somewhere in your mid30s. That's just like how the world works. Then everything that happens after that I think for my parents again with that adversarial kind of mindset is like it's a challenge to the world as you know it. So any technological change, social progress, you know, whatever they view it as you're trying
to change the world and therefore change me. And again that that idea of like they have this identity that they're going to adhere to no matter what. uh it becomes an adversarial relationship even with the idea of change or with the idea of progress in humanity. But I agree with you obviously they do not demians or diamonds maybe this week the hold Bob has Mary Lou's thought pattern was very evident. I know you've been you've minimized it before but her deference to him was strong today. Yeah, I agree. I think that that's a a part of not just my parents relationship, but I bet a lot
of MAGA relationships are like this, too, where the the guy husband kind of is like driving the MAGA car and the the um wife is just like along for the ride a little bit. The real Tom Hayne, good to see you. What's your take on Sony ending game discs? I don't like it. I'm not for it. Neither am I. I feel there should be a choice between digital and physical media if we all go digital. I don't want Snakeliskin setting off an EMP and putting us in the stone age. I mean, it's like you're buying a product.
Specifically, like in Sony's case, we're talking about video games. In my opinion, you are buying a product. When you buy it, you have ownership of it. Getting rid of the game disc means Sony can just be like, "Ah, [ __ ] it. That game or whatever, your entire game library that you bought vaporized and you have nothing." Um, I don't like that at all. And I wish they keep making them, but I think like hard media is is making a little bit of a comeback in the younger generation, at least as evidenced by these kind of like VHS collectors and [ __ ] like that. Um,
Natalie Peterson 4181. Hi, C. I grew up alt-right deconstructing for 11 years now. To be honest, Marily won't fully learn from you or Haley. She will always have a guard up. It takes other deconstructed folks to reach through. Check out Stephen Hassan and Danielle Young. Stephen Hassan, remember that name. Frequency shifter. Evening Chad. First time on your live. Wondering if instead of clips on Wednesday, you show Mary Lou documentaries from such creators like More Perfect Union, Leisa Miller, or Johnny Harris.
Thank you so much. Um, depends on how long they are. The reason that we do clips is because I don't ever like to play something that's like over a minute long because my mom's like attention span will not allow that. Um, but yeah, I mean I I wish that I could get her to watch like longer form stuff. Maybe I'll I'll maybe I'll start doing five minute clips. I don't know. Dubles, ask Mary Lou in advance to make a hypothetical list of five to 10 things she would ask Trump to fix that is different in America since his second term and see what she comes up with. Now
that our mind is shifting, it could help. That's an interesting idea. What would Yeah. What would she ask Trump? Let me Maybe that's our simmer down next week. Um I know that's political, but whatever. Okay, I'll put that in my notes. We'll see. We'll see what happens with that one. And finally, oh, Songia in the chat. Hey, chat. This Songia is the guy who made Crow upper Echelon. Hey Chad, and this is our final question. How beautiful, how fitting. Hey Chad, what kind of music do you listen to?
Who me? Lately, it's been a lot of um hard rock, some classic rock. What kind of music you listen to? Thank you everyone for joining us. Thank you Songia for popping in here and uh for making Crow upper Echelon. And I will be back with my mom, maybe my sister, maybe somebody else this coming Wednesday. Please join us for that. And uh over the course of the week, I'll have clips and stuff coming out of today's show as well. Thank you everybody for joining me and I will see you soon. Bye-bye.
