In the aftermath of the 2024 election, America is even more divided than before. Half the country fears the end of democracy and the other half welcomes it. As America inches toward the brink of authoritarian rule, now more than ever, we must force ourselves to have the necessary conversation. Welcome to the necessary conversation. And I'm Chad Culchin. With me is my sister, Haley Pope. We are lefties. We are liberals. And my parents, Bob and Mary Lou Colchin. My mom is wearing her red USA hat. That should give you some indication of her political leanings. They are both, of course, in the MAGA cult. Today, we're going to discuss the top six political actions and incidents that occurred this week. But before we get to that, Mom, you like to interrupt? >> Oh. Okay. >> Why is MAGA called a cult and your lefty crap is not called a cult? >> Because you are led by a cult leader who is leading a cult of personality. Uh >> no. Ask me how much Joe Biden merch I have. >> Doesn't matter. >> Okay. >> All he has All he needed was your vote. >> You're cutting off Dad's face. Can you stop moving the camera? >> I'm trying to get us in the frame there. Quick. >> You know, we are technically challenged at Little >> If you would have us a studio set up. Okay. Am I ready for Diddy's? >> Yes. >> Diddy's Cracker Barrel. The CB the CB Cracker Barrel. a 56-year-old brand uh that they had had, and we talked about this last week, decided that the CEO that she should change the logo, take several things within the store, redo everything. There was a huge backlash. And what did I say last week? This would be a bad idea. Some people viewed it as woke. the marketing strategy and the value dropped by almost 100 million in the stock prices. It fell miserably. And guess what? They're putting that man back in the picture. What was his name? Henry something. They're going back to the original logo, putting the man that's sitting there by the barrel back. >> And uh maybe they learned a good lesson. And I told you that was not >> change anything. What? >> What's the lesson? >> Why fix something when it's already >> working? >> Working. >> There was a video that went around this week um of a guy explaining why all these places have done this. McDonald's, Pizza Hut, a bunch of places have changed their logo and kind of simplified the design of their stores. It's so that they can resell those stores if that business moves out. Like the example he gives is the old McDonald's has that kind of like almost steepled roof, you know, and it's like if you want to move your McDonald's now and McDonald's leaves, but you want to try and rent that building out to somebody else like a bank or something, they're like, "But that's a McDonald's." You know, it's so they they make the buildings more kind of like flat and generic. They make the logos more flat and generic so that they're easier to resell essentially. Well, I'm glad that Cracker Barrel listened to the people because the people didn't like it at all the change. Okay, number two. Uh, your English teacher and your gym teacher is they are getting married, Taylor. >> That's going to be our simmer down. >> What? Oh, that's not what was on your paper for >> I know I changed it. >> Huh? >> That ain't no simmer down [ __ ] >> Okay, simmer down. >> Simmer down. Same. >> Got a couple of frog legs in my mind. >> Okay, frog legs. Well, very very uh what do I want to say? >> Next topic. We're going to do that one at simmer down. >> That will be the simmer down. Okay. Gosh darn it. You took one away from me. Now, I know also our number one topic is very traumatic and terrible and that I knew that was going to be our number one. But I had this as a diddy for last week and I didn't get to it. Drones in school safety. >> Okay. >> There is a company in Texas. It is called let's see the founder and CEO is Justin Maren and he is the CEO of campus guardian angels. So what he is doing and and it's in three different schools in Florida. They're trying two out in Texas. You have so many drones and it's not cheap but who cares? And they are in the school setting in different areas, different places. They're in a little box. As soon as a shooter or someone comes into that school that shouldn't be, they pop the boxes open, the drones go up, the police have been called, but the drones can get to whoever is in there that shouldn't be quicker, and then they will work with authorities to stop it. >> How do the drones stop it? Are the drones armed? Are these like mil? They are not armed with bullets, but they are armed with I think it was like a a gust of like wind that can knock them over. They they'll be armed with pepper spray and stuff like that. >> Okay. Or we could just pass legislation and avoid all of it. >> Yeah, we're going to get to it. This is our first topic. >> Well, this was my diddy though. I think this is a good idea and I would buy into this stock in a heartbeat. >> It's stupid. It does nothing. >> Okay. Well, it gets to whoever is in there should be a lot. >> Just hang on. That's our first topic. So, let's just wait until we're there to talk about it. >> Okay. So, I'll save my papers on that. Patriot of the week of the year, of the month, of the day, of the century that never never should have happened. The little boy named Victor that threw his body on top of the other little boy, Weston, in this shooting. Oh my goodness. What what what a friend. What a patriot to say, "Hey, you get down there. I'm on top of you." And he did take a bullet. He is going to be fine. But he did get shot in the back. Oh my god. Our children shouldn't have to be doing this. >> No [ __ ] >> Okay. I'm sorry I rolled you right into topic number one. There you go. >> All right. Before we get to topic number one, we do have a question from a listener. If you'd like to submit a question, all you have to do is record it in a one minute or shorter video format. Send it to the necessary conversation [email protected]. Are you ready, Mom and Dad and Haley, for this question? M yes. >> Yes. >> Begin now. >> Hey, necessary conversation fam. This is Kobe calling in from sunny Arizona enjoying a morning with my dog Lola. Um my question for you and this is for both sides is what is the process by which you change your mind about something? So, for example, I like to have a sort of conceptual map to anticipate the future and understand things as they happen. Um, and when something surprises me or catches me off guard, I re-evaluate that mental map and try to understand what I was wrong about or what I was misunderstanding and I adjust my understanding so I'm better prepared for the future. So I wanted to ask you all what is the process by which you change your mind so that you can understand the world better. Thanks. Love the show. All right. Mom, do you want to start this? Dad, do you want to start this? Haley, do you want to start this or do you want me to start this? >> Okay. How do you change your mind, Dad? The only way I'm going to change my mind about if we're talking about political future, >> talking about anything, talking about anything, >> anything or anything else, uh, I've got to have factual evidence that my point of view is wrong. >> Okay? >> I don't think that's right. But not a bunch not a bunch of crap coming from YouTube. >> That is not true. >> All right, Dad. Let me ask you this as a follow-up question. When was the last time you changed your mind about anything? >> Never. >> Who? >> You. >> You. >> Oh, okay. No, you go ahead. I know when I did, but go ahead. >> Well, I don't think I've changed my mind about anything. >> Exactly. >> Exactly. >> Because I'm factually right on all this politics. >> Oh my gosh. >> All right. >> Okay. That was a really good question. It really made me think. It made me think about different things right now like in my face. >> Uh, and what what makes me change my mind is when someone is in my face right there verbally. It has to be verbal I guess in my face and tells me different. >> But we've been doing that for an hour a week for three years. >> What? We've been doing that for an hour a week for three years and it has >> No, you've been you've been planting seeds in your mother's face for three years >> and none of them and none of them are taken hold. That's the problem. >> All right. So, Mom, you're saying somebody has to tell you something that's contrary to what you believe. >> I was in a situation just a few days ago. I thought um everything was fine, everything's going right. This individual gets in my face. I'm not going to tell you the exact thing, but >> Okay. made me cry and I walked away. I'm like, "Are you Jesus kidding?" >> Right then and there, my brain snaps. If he thinks that of me, then adios amigos. >> Was this dad? Are you talking about dad? >> No. No. Dad didn't make me cry. I just get mad. >> But you didn't change your mind. You just told somebody goodbye. I changed my mind in regard to where I'm at in this particular space and time with that person that said that to me. >> But you're just talking about somebody pissed you off. >> So you >> It's not changing your mind about an attitude, an ideology, the way you view the world. >> It was the way I viewed the place I was at. So you aren't changing your mind. >> Yeah. >> Yes, I am. >> Okay. >> What What did you think before this event to what did you change your mind to after it? Before the event, I didn't really think anything but good, good thoughts, good deeds, everything was great. >> You thought the guy was a [ __ ] Now you think he's a bigger one. >> Okay. >> You either you either have a willingness to accept that you can be wrong. >> And uh Okay, let's pray to God this guy doesn't listen to this. Oh, Lord. >> All right. you were saying >> uh you you have to have a willingness to accept that you are not correct about everything. You have to be able to adapt. You have to acknowledge that you might not always be right and you guys will never be there. You'll never accept that. You always think you're right no matter what. You can I can give you facts. I can give you visuals. I can give you everything under the sun. But you refuse to acknowledge that you could be wrong. And I don't know why that is. >> I have been wrong before. I've told both of you I've been wrong before. So don't start. >> Dad hasn't though. Dad literally said he's never changed his mind because he's always right about everything. >> He's a little different. I don't know. For me, for me, it's you know the factual information statistics. Me, >> I don't know. Plenty. Neither one of you have changed your mind in [ __ ] I'll give you a giant one that's been happening for maybe the last five or six years to me. >> Atheist before atheist. >> Yeah. I I used to be completely materialist. Think that all that exists is what you can measure and see atoms and physical material and that's the world and all the spiritual [ __ ] is nothing. I now completely don't believe that. I don't necessarily believe in a god but I think there is definitely something else. And the the mechanism by which I've changed my mind about that has largely to do with receiving information that makes me curious about like, well, wait a minute. I've thought about it this way for a long time, but here's a bunch of evidence saying something to the contrary. Let me investigate that. Then I have some kind of a personal experience where I'm like, [ __ ] all right, I can't deny this. And then I go further down the road of the evidence. And my mind has been completely changed on I mean, that's a fundamental worldview completely changed. So, you think you believe in God now? >> I mean, whatever you want to call it. I don't specifically think it's like that, like a Christian God or a sentient entity that is like humanoid watching over us. I'm not sure that I think it's that. In fact, I don't think it is. But I do think there is something beyond what can be measured, what can be seen. >> So, we have hope for you. Okay. >> You have to acknowledge that you you could be wrong about something. I went from eating meat a long time ago to being a vegetarian now to being a vegan. Like, I don't know. It's just fundamental principles. I mean, there are all kinds of things that like you experience life and you see things and you know, your brain kind of goes, "Oh, fuck." >> Like, maybe I'm not right about that. >> It's just a willingness to accept it. >> I agree. >> All right. So, Dad, on this issue, you are of the mind that you're never wrong. No mind's ever changed. That's your final answer. >> That's correct. >> Okay, let's move on. Our first topic is the school shooting that occurred this week. There was a school shooting during a mass at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. The shooter opened fire through church windows, killing two children, ages 8 and 10, and injuring 17 others, including 14 children and three elderly parishioners. The shooter was 23-year-old Robin Westman who died by suicide at the scene. Westman was a transgender woman, born Robert, name legally changed in 2020. Westman had attended the school in the past and had posted a manifesto and videos online praising past mass shooters and expressing hatred and violent fantasies. Westman used multiple firearms, a rifle, shotgun, and pistol, all purchased legally. Authorities noted Westman suffered from depression and other mental health issues. Since 2020, school shootings in America have tripled in number, making gun violence the number one cause of death for children ages 1 to 17 since 2020. Uh, America has more school shootings and mass shootings per capita than any other developed country in the world by far. Mom, do you think this school shooting was real? >> Yes, it was real. >> Dad, do you think it was real? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Uh, I just want to get a baseline of that. Do you think, Mom, the shooter's gender was a factor at all? >> I think he was mentally ill. >> She and >> he. Let me speak. I believe he was a he that transgendered to a she, but wanted to go back to be a boy. And that's where our society is wrong. Right there. There was no treatment. mentally ill. >> There was no treatment to help him. >> Okay. >> Go back to the way he wanted to be. >> Uhhuh. >> Sick m effort. >> He was not given the proper treatment needed. >> So you realize you realize that most school shootings are done by white heterosis men. >> Did you know that? >> I I have the stats. I have the statistics. >> Tell us the facts because a lot of trans >> I have the statistics. I have the statistics. >> All right. Before you even >> I have the statistics. I have the statistics. >> I have the statistics. >> All right. >> I have the statistics. Your >> mouth for a minute. >> No. I want to tell you the numbers because you have issued a statement that is not accurate. You just said what changes your mind is facts. I'm going to give you that. >> But it's going to be accurate when you put percentages on these people. >> Okay. At the same time >> and what you've got in facts. Okay. There's three transgenders and 42 non-transgenders, but on a on a percentage basis of the US population, >> they're way overwhelmingly more into into killing people than we are. >> Let sh say what the [ __ ] >> Transgender individuals comprised 0.11% of all mass shooting suspects over the past decade. Only two trans shooters in over 300 school shootings. >> Decade. Let's trim that down to the last 5 years. >> Why? >> Because over the last 5 years, >> it's more prevalent now than it's ever been. >> Do you want to take into account all the mass shootings that have happened or not? >> Sure. >> Okay. Then we go back to Coline. This I'm actually doing what you're asking by condensing it even to the last 10 years. There are more school shootings going back to Coline. >> Then we'll talk blah blah blah blah blah blah. >> Let him talk. >> Okay. Dad. So, you said earlier if you get presented with facts, you can potentially change your mind. Here, you're refusing to even let me speak the facts and then when I say them, you say blah blah blah blah blah. >> Well, it's not facts. >> These are the numbers. What? What do you mean? >> Oh, they are. Huh? >> Yes. Do you think I'm just making this up? >> Yes. >> You think I sat down and made these numbers up? >> Yes. >> Why would I do that? >> To make self look better. Oh my god. >> Do you you can't literally believe this. >> I'm literally believing it. >> Okay. 99.89% of school shootings are done by cisgender shooters. >> Over 95% of those are men. So >> let him talk. >> If you have a problem that is being produced by the majority of the people doing it, 95% of them are men. Do you not think that's a bigger problem than the1% of transgender shooters? >> No. >> Okay. Um, let me ask you this, Mom. Why do you think we have such a problem with gun violence in America? >> It's not the guns. >> Okay. >> It's the people committing the crime that has the gun in their hand that pulls the trigger. Mhm. >> This individual was a boy, transitioned to a girl, did not want to be a girl anymore, wanted to transition back to a boy, and in our society, there is nothing >> is that >> that helps really back. >> Is that some [ __ ] you made up? >> No, I've researched it. >> Where? >> Um, off his mana manifesto that he said >> hers, >> the only thing he had left was long hair like a girl. the manifesto that was online. >> He wanted to kill everybody. >> All right. So, you're contending that it's a mental health issue, right? >> Yes. >> All right. So, the current administration, >> if you want to cut your wiener off, you've got a sick head. >> He did not want to be a transgender anymore. He wanted to go back to the girl. Okay. >> That he was that >> great. So, >> you need to be in jail. >> You know what I don't like too? Like New York Times and there was somebody else that came right out and said she. No, it was he. Why do we argue over the pronouns and stuff? Why are >> you're the one arguing. No one else is arguing. You two are the ones who argue over arguing right now. >> It's totally insane to me to hear. You're the one bringing it up. >> Don't look Don't look stupid. That's what you're doing. >> Why do you give a [ __ ] Like if somebody wants to be called Robin and addressed as she her >> because Robin is not Robin. And that was really Robert that needed to go back to Robert, but our society couldn't help him do that. So on his manifesto, he wrote all that down and he killed two children because of it. >> He wanted to kill Jews. >> Who knows what kind of Who knows what kind of drugs? >> He wanted to kill anybody and everybody. >> Who knows what kind of drugs our medical people had. So pretty. >> He wrote all that down. Why do you Why do you not have this same hatred and anger toward all of the other mass shooters that have murdered children who are not transgender? >> We do children. >> No, you don't. You don't go and look at their manifesto and try to figure out who they were. You don't give a [ __ ] >> Yes, I do. Ted Bundy, all that. That wasn't Ted Bundy is not a school shooter. You guys are just transphobic. >> You're transphobic. >> Stop putting words in our mouth. That's what this is. >> You're putting the words in your mouth. You're saying it that you refused to use the pronoun that this was a man. Blah blah blah. You're the one saying it. We're not putting any words in your mouth. You're doing it. >> My question is >> transphobia. That's what you have. >> Huh? You didn't. Dad, I want to ask you the same question. Why? >> I'm not afraid of any goddamn transgender. >> Why do you think we have such >> I have no phobia towards these people? I think they're Can I ask you a question? >> [ __ ] >> They're mentally ill and they need help and our society doesn't give it to them. Fine. You know, they hang on. Mom, hang on. Wait a second. Wait a second. >> Okay. >> You're saying it's a mental health issue. Trump defunded mental health services through DHS by a massive amount. He's cutting back mental health services >> and we need to get some money back because it isn't a mental health issue. Do they need help? It needs to be funded. >> I agree. So then you're disagreeing with Donald Trump on this. >> No. >> Um, it needs to be funded. Hey, who was the shooter at UValdi or down in Texas? Was that not a trans? >> It was. >> I don't think so. >> Yes, it was. Yes, it was. >> The only two that I could find were Audrey Hail at Covenant School in 2023. Was that Uvaldi? >> I found about six. Yes. >> Okay. I mean, I'm not going to argue about it. Why? Why argue about this? Two children lost their lives. Terrible. Terrible. >> They'll never come back. >> You're vilifying an entire [ __ ] group of people based off of this. >> You are trying to glorify them. >> You're trying to unilify. They are all villains. >> I'm not going to glorify them at all. >> What the hell? >> You've gone on this like rabbit hole of trying to find all the trans. It's not a thing. White heterosis males are the demographic murdering people in mass. >> Wasn't there last week, that's for sure. >> And you don't really give a [ __ ] when that happens. You don't you don't seek out their [ __ ] mental health issues or where they came from. You don't care. You only care when it's a transgender person. >> You chop your wiener off. You're a >> Nobody does that. >> That's putting words in our mouth. I don't like that. >> Yeah, they do. That's what he did. >> Okay, >> that's what this sick [ __ ] did. >> All right, >> once again, I asked the question, "Dad, why do we have such a problem with gun violence in America?" >> We don't. >> Because all of our politicians pockets are lined with money to continue [ __ ] allow it. >> Mr. Factual, how many people have died in mass shootings in the United States in the last 10 years? I can Google this for you. >> Well, Google it for me and divide that by 360 million and tell me we got a gun problem. >> In in other countries, when anybody [ __ ] shoots people, they have regulations and laws. Therefore, no longer there are no more mass shootings in other >> I can't believe you're even arguing this. Um, >> so do we, but our democratic legal system doesn't abide by the law. 1,700 deaths since 2009. >> Um, but you didn't you didn't hear it's the leading cause of death for children aged 1 to 17 is guns. >> Do you think that should be the way it is? >> Sure. >> But who has the gun in their hand to shoot them? A mentally ill person. I totally believe we have to step up with mental illness. >> Guns have nothing to do with this problem. You're failing to realize >> this person got these guns legally and you're saying you think it was mental health. Well, they [ __ ] got through the loopholes, didn't they? Because we have no [ __ ] regulations. Anyone can go buy a [ __ ] gun right now and blow away as many kids as they want. [ __ ] >> apparently anybody can transition. >> 1700 of them in 10 years. >> Anyone can transition from a male to a female. talking about you're talking about elementary age children. >> You're talking about [ __ ] kids, kindergarteners, >> right? >> And you're like, big deal, 1700. That's somebody's [ __ ] kid. >> Fly your fly your what do you call it? Transgender. >> You know what's sick about you is that that could be my [ __ ] kid. >> No, it could. >> That makes you [ __ ] sick. >> Your kids are too old. >> Good line. >> No, they're not. Not all of them. age 1 to 17, gun violence is the leading cause of death in America. >> And you don't give a [ __ ] because 1700 just isn't a [ __ ] It doesn't matter. It's a blip. >> Now, you know what? >> People's kids. >> This was a biological male who transitioned to a woman. >> Again, none of this [ __ ] matters. The woman wanted to transition. Here's the bottom line, >> but nobody was there to help. >> She doesn't give a [ __ ] >> Okay, quit arguing. You're right. I don't care. >> Hello. What's going on? What are you doing? You're both just staring at each other. What's happening? >> All right. I have a question for you, Mom and Dad. If it meant that there would never be a school shooting in America again, would you be okay with everyone, including yourselves, giving up your guns? >> No way in hell. What about other shootings? That's >> what >> how many people got killed in Chicago in 2000? >> Okay, let's What's broad? >> No one dies from gun violence. >> Oh, if no one give up your guns. >> Sure. I would give up my gun if no one dies. But that would never happen. >> I would never give up my gun. >> That would never happen. >> Everybody's going to have a gun. >> There you have it. >> For protection. >> Gun gun rights over children's lives. There you are. >> There you are. >> Take my gun. Over 1,700 dead people every day of the week. >> Our next topic, speaking of dead people, is Trump lives. This week, Trump was in seclusion for 4 days, sparking online hopes that he was dead or severely infirmed. Social media erupted with hashtag Trump dead trending. And Google searches for where's Trump and is Trump dead in the top five. Adding fuel to the speculation were more recent pictures of Trump's bruised hands and swollen ankles. While Trump was mysteriously gone from public view, JD Vance told USA Today that he was prepared to assume the presidency. Quote, "If, god forbid, there's a terrible tragedy affecting the president." And last week, Trump made strange claims about the possibility of him getting into heaven. But the hopes of Trump's demise were laid to rest on Saturday when he emerged for his 62nd trip to a golf course in just 223 days of this term of his presidency. Haley, did you think he was dead? >> Hoped. Hoped he was. Um, I think he might actually be dying, though. >> Like, he's actively dying. >> Mom, do you think his health is a a real issue? >> Okay, we're all actively dying at some point, but just because he has the leg thing going on, that's not making him die. >> I didn't. >> His hands are severely bruised at all times. Old people have bruises on their hands and he's not actively dying. >> They're actively They're actively bruised 100% of the time >> from vigorous hand shaking. >> They showed a photo of uh >> from just banging them into the wall. >> They showed a photo of the Queen of England with like similar [ __ ] on her hands and like she died two days later. >> No. >> Right. >> Yeah. I I think it's really bad when he's going >> starts doing stuff like this. It's just terrible. >> I want it. I can't wait. >> You did this with Joe Biden. >> I can't wait. Joe Biden couldn't stand up. Donald Trump can stand walk knows where he's at. >> It's the same thing. You [ __ ] on Joe Biden because he's old and incompetent. Trump is now that and you refuse to see it. This is the cult I was talking about. >> He's going to die. >> It's like the >> hair as hell. the standards that you apply. Mom, half your face is cut off. >> I'm trying to get back in the picture. Kofifi, >> why move the computer at all ever? >> Jesus Christ. >> This is unbelievable. >> There I am. Hello. >> Okay. Do you Let's assume Trump is going to die in office. I think that's it's a done deal. >> Let's don't assume that. >> Yeah. Why? >> That is a [ __ ] croc of [ __ ] I'm not assuming that. JD, I'm not ready and I'm not gonna sit here in this [ __ ] podcast and let you assume it. >> I'm assuming it. You are gonna sit here in this podcast and let me assume it. I'm doing it. >> I assume Donald Trump will die in office. I assume it. >> Make that a prediction and you'll be wrong. >> No, I'm not talking to you the rest of the show. >> Dead man. >> That's all it takes. I found out the magic trick. Just insult your Lord God Donald Trump the immortal. And even when dad and I did not like Biden and thought he was incompetent, we never sat here on this podcast and said, "I hope he dies today. I hope you [ __ ] We never said that." Go back in these podcast. >> I'm petty. I hope he [ __ ] dies today. >> Me, too. Um, >> that's really sad of both of you. >> Dad is no longer a rapist felon. [ __ ] him. >> Oh, God. Here we go. Mom, would you like JD Vance as much as you like Trump? >> I like JD Vance. I also like Rubio. Um, yeah. >> Would you buy JD Vance cologne? >> Yes, I would. >> Would you buy his eyeliner >> if they were selling it? >> Okay. Interesting. So, you're now in the Republic. Okay. Well, that's interesting. Dad, no comment still. >> Gross. Hasn't he been on vacation? Hasn't he been on vacation like the entire [ __ ] >> Yeah, he's spending insane amounts of money to like shut down amusement parks and [ __ ] for his family. And >> um let me ask you this. Did you see the video that was obtained I think by CNN. It's like a Donald Trump kill video that's basically like if you're watching this it means I'm dead. Did you see that video? >> No. >> All right, I'll play it for you right now. Hello, it's me. And if you're seeing this video, it's because I'm dead. Quite frankly, something got me. Age, bad diet, no exercise. Could have been any of those things. Could have been Sleepy Joe. We don't know. They're investigating. But right now, I'm dead. They're probably trying to keep it a secret from you. And now you've got JD. JD Vance. They're saying he's good enough. Not great. Not as great as me, of course, but good enough. Good luck with JD Vance. What' you think of that, Dad? Have you seen that video yet? >> Hello, Mom. What's going on there? >> That's mean. That's just like your memes that you did a long time ago when I didn't talk to you for a while. So, keep it up, mister. >> What? >> That's mean. That is mean. >> Your s your your [ __ ] sack is so full you can't cram any more crap in it. >> Oh, that's a good one. [ __ ] sack. >> You came back with that line. That's freaking awesome. Your [ __ ] sack is so full you can't crimp anymore. >> That needs to be on a t-shirt. Serious. >> Mhm. >> Uh, you guys didn't find it funny at all. >> Yeah, it was good. >> No. >> Look how [ __ ] just horribly offended you're pretending to be. Dad, you just said you wouldn't give up your guns to say to save children's lives in mass shootings, but you're offended by my joke Trump video. >> Yes. >> I wasn't prepared for >> such a delicate snowflake. Both of you are >> to me no more. >> You're Oh, the little snowflake. She's mad in her chair now. >> I would have had one prepared with someone else in it. I didn't know you were going to do that. See, you throw that at us just to get a rise out of us, Chad. I don't appreciate. >> I was trying to be funny. That isn't funny. >> To me, it is. >> There's [ __ ] on White House official like Donald Trump as [ __ ] Superman. Okay. They play the cops bad boys song as they're arresting people on the street. Like that shit's offensive. >> Or Trumpville in in uh in Gaza, how he was going to turn it into like Trump Vegas. >> There's a genocide going on there. >> You don't think that's insensitive? >> No. I I'm can't wait until it's over. We're not making >> kill them all. Kill all the Palestinians. >> Well, we're going to get to that. Let's move on to topic number three, burning the flag. This week, Trump signed an executive order directing the Justice Department to investigate and prosecute anyone who burns the American flag, even though the Supreme Court has ruled multiple times that this is a protected act as a First Amendment part of free speech. The order proposes a mandatory one-year jail sentence for offenders. Shortly after the order was issued, Jay Carrey, a 54year-old Army veteran and Bronze Star recipient, burned an American flag near the White House to protest, and he was arrested not for flag burning, but for lighting a fire on federal parkland. The order is expected to be challenged legally. Dad, should it be legal to burn or deface the American flag? >> Yes. >> Why? >> Be illegal. >> Illegal. He said illegal. That scared me there for a minute. You know, I've defaced several American flags back in my street art days. >> Several years in jail. >> Why have you What have you done to the flag, Chad? >> And I would stand behind you and clap as you walk off into the jail cell >> for making a piece of art. >> No, for burning the flag. You didn't? >> I never burned it. I spray painted flags with the phrase, "None of this is real." And put them up around Los Angeles. >> With flags? I thought you just did it with money. No, I did it with money, American flags, all of the different uh symbols, the idols that we worship. >> Spend a little time in a pokey. >> Okay. Mom, do you believe that it should be illegal to deface a flag? >> Yes, I do. It should be illegal >> because that represents our country, our patriotism, the pride we have. It should not be burned. He should not allow anyone to burn that flag. And that's what he's doing. So you're against freedom of speech then both of you? >> No. >> Yes. >> I'm against burning the American flag. That's freedom. >> Free speech. >> No, it's not. >> No, it's not. >> The Supreme Court has ruled again as I said multiple times. >> Supreme Court. >> It's going to go to the Supreme Court again. >> So you're like, I love America. [ __ ] the Supreme Court. >> So you don't actually love America as it is now. You don't or as it was prior to our authoritarian. >> I love America as the republic that it is. It is not a democracy. If you go look up your definition of democracy in a republic, you will have come to light that all you damn Democrats that are trying to defend democracy don't even know what the [ __ ] democracy is. >> H >> you don't have a clue. Go look it up. Get you a [ __ ] definition. >> Okay. >> I'm not a Democrat, just by the way. >> Same. >> No, you're socialist communist, which is even worse. So, both of you guys think that burning the flag or defacing it in some way should be illegal is not a freedom of speech issue. Correct. >> Not at all. >> Are there other things that you think are in that vein? >> Depends on what comes up. >> Do you think you should be able to express dissent at all against Donald Trump or the current administration? Yeah, you can walk down the [ __ ] street running your big mouth. >> Okay. >> So, you believe in protests? >> Sure. >> Okay. >> Burning the flag is disrespectful to our country, to the people that died for that flag in our country. It's a that is a form of disrespect. >> The guy who burned the flag. >> If you want to burn that flag, you should not be in this country. just get your ass out of here and go live in another country and burn off. >> You're worried about 1700 pennies that went down the toilet. How about the 54,000 of them that got killed in Vietnam? >> Pennies that went down the toilet. That's people's children. >> Yeah. Pennies. Pennies on the [ __ ] dollar. >> What are you talking about? >> Jesus Christ. We lost we lost 54,000 people in Vietnam and had over a half a million guys banged up. >> Why does the Why does the quantity matter so much to you? Like even just one kid dying >> because it all matter because it all matters. Not if it's a small percentage of the entire population. >> But you're hang on. Hang on. Hang on. >> Hang on. Right there, Dad. what you're saying. >> It doesn't matter. Dad, >> to change my mind about something that has that is in my opinion irrelevant. >> Okay. Because you're saying statistically it's a small number of the population, right? Doesn't matter. >> Yeah. It doesn't matter. >> So then why are you so hung up on the shooter being trans? It's such a small percentage of the population. Doesn't matter. Because what that proves beyond the shadow of a doubt is that these transgenders are sick [ __ ] >> Okay. So you have mental illness. They are mentally ill beyond comprehens. I'm just going to circle back around [ __ ] >> and remind you that you just called children [ __ ] pennies on the dollar. >> That's right. >> That's that's mentally ill in my mind. That's in my mind that you just completely >> don't give a [ __ ] >> Me and babies have died in school. >> Me and 80 million other Americans. >> What are you talking about? Pennies on a dollar. >> That 1,700 people is se is is penny poker compared to the amount of people have given their life. >> You're also comparing [ __ ] war to children being gunned down in school. It's >> No, we're at war. We're at war. He's not thinking right with that. >> We're at war with you. >> Okay, let's simmer down. We've gotten heated up. The simmer down this week is, of course, >> Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have announced >> That's not a simmer down. >> Their engagement uh on what was the most listened to podcast episode of all time. >> Let me talk. >> Why, >> Dad? You got to chill the [ __ ] out. >> Why should I let him talk? >> Why are you being such an [ __ ] right now? You're just being a straight [ __ ] [ __ ] It seems like for the sake of being an [ __ ] >> You are the straight [ __ ] [ __ ] >> In what way? >> The Trump thing got him riled up >> every way possible. >> The Trump thing. What thing? Hello? >> Making fun of Trump. >> What? That video I made? That's why you're so pissed off right now? >> I rest my case on your in a cult. That's some dear leader [ __ ] right there. >> Okay. All right, Taylor Swift, go. >> Yes, sorry. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced that they're getting engaged on Travis Kelce's podcast. It was a giant podcast. She has a new album coming out, starting a new tour. The NFL season is about to start. It's all in terms of like promotion, the falseness of it. The let me make my more money. She is, of course, a giant capitalist uh billionaire. I mean, there's no other way to put it. I think anybody at this point who's a billionaire is probably not a great person, but all of these things have happened. It is the biggest thing happening in entertainment. Mom, what are your thoughts on the marriage? Is it real? >> It's real. I wish them the best of luck. This brings back normal man and woman getting married into our country. >> Normal man and woman. There's a lot of rumors that they're both gay, just to let you know. >> I did not know. No, they're not. They're going to have babies. They're going to live happily ever after. And I hope that they have a lot of years going forward and a lot of love. >> Great. Dad, what do you think? >> Oh my god, he's a child. Haley, what do you think? >> I am a Swifty. I love Taylor's music. I >> Yeah, we know that. >> It's hard to reconcile that she's a billionaire. I will admit. Um I think it's real. I think it's real. I definitely think though that it's not contractual, but I think that they kind of how much money can we make? What can we put out? Like it's become a money-making venture, but I do think that they actually are engaged. They actually are together, but it's now like uh part of it is a business transaction. They're like the big couple. >> Yeah. >> Here's talk about conspiracy theories. This is how deep I'll go. I believe she has a deal on paper with that National Football League >> to seriously date whatever player she wanted to pick. It happened to be Travis Kelce. He happens to be on one of the best teams in the NFL. And I think this was a done deal. >> I I legit think it was. No, I don't. I don't think it goes that deep, but I do think this is >> for the most part completely fake. >> Here's how we're going to know if it's real or not. In the end, >> in the end, all these places, oh, have the wedding here, have the wedding here, they'll if they have it in the backyard and ditch everybody. I >> What makes you think it's fake? >> Highowered couples like this don't especially one that's kind of like you can see the symbiotic relationship. Obviously, he's getting way more out of it than she is, but she has catapulted to her her highest level of fame during this period where she is woven into the NFL where she gets free TV time every Sunday when she goes to one of these games and oh my god, here they are in this photo op and blah blah blah. I'm not saying she wasn't famous before this. Obviously, she was a giant famous musician. But there's something about this relationship and tying it to I mean, a lot of people think he's MAGA. I don't know if he is or not, but like The NFL certainly is, you know, they both are going to be. >> So, she's plugged directly into that MAGA fan base in a way that I don't think she was before, which has obviously exploded her popularity because she's playing both sides of that fence now. Um, I just think that it is once you get to that level, it's like Tom Cruz, every relationship he's had with anybody, that's done by contract. You will produce this many children for me. We will divorce on this date. You will be paid this amount. Um, I think something like that is probably happening. Just my two cents. I could be wrong. >> I don't think so. I don't think so. I think I think it's real. I think they met >> though. It all played out like he made the [ __ ] bracelet. He tried to get her number even on the podcast. You know, she was talking about he's kind of like the thing I've been looking for and writing about since I was 15 years old. >> And now there was a farce. >> Yes. No more breakup songs. All those other guys, >> I don't think it is. I think it's real. >> She is. Say whatever you want about her music, about her personally. It's undeniable. She is probably the single greatest marketing mind >> marketer >> maybe that has ever existed in humanity. >> She doesn't do anything unless it makes her more famous and makes her more money. That is all she's really concerned with. And I think she has like a a unique kind of artistic talent, probably autistic as well, that where she can just like turn out [ __ ] songs on a minute-by-minute basis. And that's super impressive. Obviously, I take nothing away from her as an artist. >> But I do think >> like at her core, the art has kind of given way to the fame in her mind. Like that is the art now. The fame and the money. How much can I get? >> And again, once you're a billionaire, you don't do anything for the thing. You're doing it for like how does this affect my billionaire status? >> Okay, >> just my two cents. Uh, dad, you still with us? >> Trump wished him. >> He's literally silent treating like a child. >> Be nice. Just talk. Get this done. >> Our fourth topic is Israel kills journalists on purpose. As the designed genocide continues in Gaza, this week saw a particularly cruel Israeli attack designed to deliver maximum civilian casualties at Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza. The attack claimed at least 20 lives, including five journalists, and injured around 50 others, many of whom were medical personnel. The double strike tactic consists of an initial strike on a location designed to do enough damage to prompt first responders to arrive on the scene to rescue and treat the injured. Then a second strike is launched on the same location with the purpose of killing the civilian medical and journalistic responders. Israel claimed the strike was aimed at a Hamas surveillance camera and dismissed journalist casualties as a tragic mishap, though no supporting evidence was provided. Mom, why do you think Israel did this double strike? >> I don't know. I The first time I read about it, because I haven't been on much TV lately, was when you told us about it. >> Mhm. >> I don't know. Aren't they denying it that they didn't do it on claims that was not intentional harm to them? >> They said Israel or the Israeli army said we thought that Hamas had a surveillance camera on the building. So we bombed the building, then we bombed it again 20 minutes later. >> Oh, I don't know. >> Dad, why do you think they did the double strike? >> They're going to kill all the Palestinians. They need to be extermin exterminated like [ __ ] rats. Why do you say that? >> Because they're the biggest problem we've got in the Middle East. You eliminate Palestine, you have no more problems in the Middle East. >> In innocent unarmed people are are the biggest >> doesn't make a goddamn They are not innocent unarmed people. these five journalists that got killed, >> they're they're fall they're infiltrated throughout the whole what's left of them with Hamas and they got to be gone. >> Do you think they don't give a [ __ ] how many civilians you take out? You got to take them all out. >> Even the journalists. >> All of them. >> But the journalists aren't Palestinian in most cases. Okay. If you're going to sat there, if you're going to sit there as a so-called journalist in Gaza, you deserve to be shot. >> Why? >> Because you're part of the problem. >> They're supposed to be protected. >> You're part of the problem. >> Hang on a minute. How's a journalist a part of that problem? >> Because they keep reiterating all this [ __ ] Oh, we got we got genocide going on. And D. You know what those Palestinians need to do? Need to pack their [ __ ] up and move to Pakistan or Turkey. >> They can't leave. They're trapped. >> Well, that's too bad. Sounds like it sounds like Dunkkirk to me. >> Mom, what are you reading there? >> I was trying to read about it cuz I didn't know. >> Get some [ __ ] Get some [ __ ] boats and ship their asses out of there. So, Dad, you believe it is a genocide and you support that >> 100%. >> But they did the second strike on purpose to kill the journalists or to just kill more people. >> Well, they didn't get the job done with the first bomb. So, they >> journalists and civilians. >> It's a tactic that is like especially cruel in war. It is designed to kill civilians and medical personnel. >> Yeah. I don't know. I know I say that a lot, but that war is not going to be done till everybody. It's not a war. >> It is a war. There's no one fighting back against the Israeli army. There is no other side. It's just people starving to death and getting >> down to the We're down to the nuts and bolts. >> We talked about this before. >> Mom, do you think it's a genocide? >> I think it's not going to stop until they're all dead. >> And then what do you think the aftermath of that will be like globally? We will now have Israel will have committed a genocide of its own and America will have financially backed that given them weapons to do it. >> Do you think there will be any repercussion globally uh for this? >> I have I don't know. I Here we go. I don't know. >> Zero cowards ain't got enough ball sack. >> Oh my god. >> All right, let's move on. Our next topic is the CDC. Bye-bye. This week, Trump fired the CDC director, Susan Manares, less than a month after he nominated her for the position, and she was confirmed by the Senate. She was fired for her resistance to RFK Junior's push for vaccine policy changes, including retracting CO 19 vaccine approvals and firing senior CDC staff. Following her firing, at least three senior CDC officials resigned in protest. Dozens more CDC employees walked out in solidarity with the departing leaders, signaling a full-blown leadership exodus amid growing public health concern. Are you okay? >> At least you're not watching TV. I guess that's a step in the right direction. >> The CDC is left without official leadership. Its budget has been slashed nearly in half. Core health programs stalled like maternal health disease surveillance, smoking, and drowning prevention and cooperation broken with state and international health partners. The CDC's vaccine advisory body, ACIP, has been overhauled with members appointed by RFK Jr., some of whom are vaccine skeptics in his attempt to outlaw vaccines. >> Go to the bathroom by >> Mom. >> Yes. >> Do you think RFK is trying to destroy the CDC? >> It seems like he's trying to align people with the same mindset that he and President Trump think, I guess. Do you know what the CDC does or what it's supposed to do? >> Yeah. >> Govern for disease control, which they've done nothing. >> He's yelling as he's walking to the bathroom. >> I hear >> it's supposed to be for everybody, right? To govern to make it best for everyone. >> Well, they basically track illnesses. They are like they say, "Oh, flu season's going to be bad. Here's the flu vaccine." They were instrumental in getting the COVID vaccine out to people. They arguing over the autism with the MMR and all that. >> Well, I mean, who knows? RFK has a bunch of wacky ideas that are all wrong, but basically one of them, yes, is that he thinks vaccines contribute to autism. So, he's trying to effectively outlaw all vaccines. >> Yeah, I don't I think some vaccines are good, but I don't think COVID vaccine was good. That's for sure. But this organization, this government agency, >> many of these people like this woman who got fired, the top three officials under who who resigned in protest, these are career officials who have done this type of a job in one capacity or another for decades. They are now gone. They are being replaced with people that RFK is putting in there who are antivaccine. Do you think that's good for the CDC to have that type of personnel? >> No, I don't. >> Okay. Okay. So you disagree then here with what Trump is doing. >> I believe in vaccines. >> Okay. So more and more vaccines. >> Say it. Say I disagree with Donald Trump on this. >> No, I don't disagree with Donald Trump. I disagree with getting rid of vaccines that are necessary. >> Okay. Then you disagree with RFK. At the very least say that >> some maybe some of his measures. >> Why do you have to say that? Because I want you to see what it feels like to hear it coming out of your own mouth because you do disagree with me. >> Coming out of your mouth as I just stated it a little bit ago. Your [ __ ] sack is full, dude. >> All right, dude. >> You can't put another You can't put another turd in the bag. >> You can't keep moving the camera like that. >> Okay, I'm trying. >> It's going to make editing this a literal nightmare. >> There we go. >> Mom, you are disagreeing with RFK. I just want to hear you say that. >> Yes, I believe in vaccinations. >> Say I disagree with RFK. >> No, you're not gonna make me say that. I believe >> But you do. You do disagree with vaccinations. Not all vaccinations. Not a complete disagreement. >> So, it's not >> that's that's you're making that [ __ ] up. >> No, I'm not. You said you believe in vaccines. He wants to outlaw them. He believes they cause autism. >> He doesn't want to outlaw all of them. >> It's fine. >> Okay. Does he? >> Um, let me ask you this, Dad. Why do you think Republicans are so anti-science? >> They're not anti-science. They're probably Republicans are probably the most pro-science on the planet. >> Explain. >> Why is this Republican? >> Why do you think Democrats are Hey, give me the jab. Kill me. >> Hey, let's do this. Haley, >> why is that? >> Let's do this. Chad and Haley, you got >> the jab's already been proven to kill people. >> You got every vaccine. >> Let's take some more of it. Let's have some more of that [ __ ] vaccine. >> You got every vaccine available to you as children when you were little and it was like how many was it? There wasn't that many 10 12 something like >> you two are barking up a [ __ ] dead tree. >> Now what is the vaccines per kid that they're recommending? Like over 30 40 >> everything's coming back. Measles >> that's called [ __ ] science. We now have vaccinations for things like HPV. you get your ass on there and look up democracy mister >> that we didn't have before. So now you can get, you know, HPV causes uterine cancer. It's like one of the leading causes >> in women getting uterine cancer. I can now give that to all of my children so they don't get [ __ ] cancer. >> Are you sure that's proven? >> That that vaccine is proven? >> I rest my case on you being anti-science, your honor. >> The reason Alo shutting down NASA. Trump is shutting down cancer research. He's shutting down all of these various scientific endeavors that America used to be done a damn thing. The s the center for disease control hasn't stopped control of one disease in the last 50 [ __ ] years. >> Hang on. You just said NASA hasn't done anything. >> I just said the CDC >> I said he's shutting down NASA and you said >> you don't pay attention to me. >> You don't pay attention to me. You just >> you [ __ ] interrupt me every time. >> Another turn. Another turnd in the [ __ ] [ __ ] sack. >> All right. She's having >> She's having an episode. [Applause] >> All right. Well, we had another topic, but we've we've come to the end of this. I guess we can try and ram this through. No more mail. >> This week, Trump signed an executive order eliminating the dimminimous exemption, which allowed low-v valueue imports under $800 to enter the US. duty-free effective August 29th. Most packages now face tariffs of 10 to 50% or a flat duty of $80 to $200 per package. In response, postal carriers from over 25 countries have halted or restricted USbound shipments, including India, the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and New Zealand. >> Tired of that [ __ ] >> You, Dad, you're sitting there and you said, "I don't pay attention to you. You literally have conversations while I'm talking. You're watching TV while I'm talking. >> Oh, I am. >> You interrupt people constantly. >> Am I watching TV while you're talking >> th this episode? No. And I do think it's a drastic improvement. You do seem more engaged. >> What are you laughing at? >> You. >> Okay. >> The [ __ ] sack keeper. >> Okay. Do you think, Mom, that it's a good thing that we now cannot get packages from UK, France, Germany, Spain, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and New Zealand? >> Our postal our post office post office everything that needs to be reworked. It's terrible. >> It's not our post office. This is Trump's tariffs. >> Yeah, it's ter Well, >> no, it's >> there. There need You have to pay for some things coming in the United States, but not that much. That's That's >> these things aren't coming into the United States. These countries are saying we are not sending anything to you anymore. >> Good. >> But it's because of things. >> It'll hurt them more than it's going to hurt us. >> It's like I thought that was like boxes and things coming to individuals. >> Yes. Exactly. Those used to be exempt because of Trump's tariffs. Now the exemption is gone. So anything coming into the United States, you got to pay some tariff. Whatever the tariff from that country is that Trump has put on it, you have to pay on the value of what's in that box. >> I guess it depends on what's in that box, whether you pay that money or not. That's a lot of money. >> I agree. So, you're against Trump >> buying [ __ ] from those countries. >> Buying [ __ ] >> If you have a relative there who's sending you a Christmas present, you now have to pay a tariff on that, >> right? >> No, I don't. I don't have to pay [ __ ] >> We don't accept >> I I won't accept the gift. >> Oh my god. Do you think the average Trump voter voted for this to not be able to get packages from other countries? >> Yes. No. >> Dad, do you think literally that that's what you voted for when you sat down and you marked your ballot? You were like, I hope Trump makes it. >> I'm saying I'm going to pay a little bit more so I can bankrupt these [ __ ] stupid countries >> and it's going to work. >> Okay. >> All right. >> You don't understand tariffs at all. We're not >> Explain them to me. Explain tariffs to me. >> You don't. It's another It's another turd in your [ __ ] bag. >> Explain them to me. I want you to tell me what all about >> tariffs. I've done an infant item. I'm not doing it anymore. >> Who pays the tariffs, Dad? >> You're that [ __ ] ignorant. I can't help you. >> Who pays the tariffs, Dad? >> Godamn. >> Who pays them? >> Nobody. >> You can't handle the truth. >> All right. Well, that wraps up today's show. What a goddamn doozy it was. Dad, I'm glad to have you back. You seem to be almost in full spirits now. Um, and thank you for not watching TV during the 1 hour a week that you talk to your family.
