America is deeply divided. There are only two sides to every issue and there is no interest in finding common ground, not even with members of your own family. But as the 2024 presidential election looms on the horizon, there has never been a more important time to have the necessary conversation. Welcome to the necessary conversation. I'm Chad Kultgen with me today is my sister in a dark cave. We can barely see her. The blue light of her computer screen is all that illuminates her face. The light is on in here. I have literal Listen. Listen. No. I have literal Like I can't do more. The light in the room you're in is on? Yes. Dad Dad and I we just talked about when you guys were here last weekend. Chad should have set up our studio a little better and Dad walked through and goes, "Yeah, little [ __ ] didn't do it." Well, you'll forgive me if the 4 hours of sleep I had over the course of this 48 hours were not enough. I've turned on I've turned on my Coleman. Okay. And my lumen. Should I Is this good? I mean it's better, but put them kind of in front of your face on the table. Do you want me to go get a flashlight? Jesus. It's pitch black. Can you not see your own I have a [ __ ] light on in here. I don't know what you want from me. I The light is on. Okay. Here's what we're going to do. Yeah. And my camping lights. Mhm. Here's what we're going to do. If we continue with this podcast, if we have enough yeses out there, the five people that want us to continue, we need professional people to come in and help us. Okay. That's my mom's to do list. looks like Chad has a new background. Yeah, I got a bookshelf. That's nice. That's pretty. Thank you. Um For those who don't know, this is a podcast uh where we talk about the political issues of the day. We are a split family. We've got our parents uh Mary Lou and Bob who love Majong, and we've got myself and my sister Haley who do not. This was a huge week in politics. We saw the first presidential debate of what is scheduled to be two. Who knows if that's actually going to happen. And we will, of course, be talking about that. But before we begin, we always like to kick it out to one of the four of us or multiple of the four of us. Do you have any rants this week, Mom, Dad, Haley? Dad says no. I have no ditties other than oh god, the debate. I just We're going to get to that in the first topic. I know. I know. I've no ditties. Okay. Haley, nothing? No, I'm good. Browsing start to this one. Let me play you now a recorded question from one of our listeners. We like to begin our podcast in this manner. If you have questions that you want any of us to answer, just send them in a 1-minute or shorter audio clip to the necessary [email protected]. Are you ready for today's question? Kitty's ready. Okay, here we go. Hey Kochin family, Ethan here again with the hard-hitting questions. This one's a big one. This is a question to all four of you, and I want you guys all to answer independently. Do you believe in evil people? I understand there are people that do evil things. There are evil actions that can be done, but can a person be evil fundamentally? Or are we all just humans trying to get along, trying to live our lives, trying to do what we think is best for us and our family and our people? Thanks. Are there people, Mom? That's kind of a strange question. Of course there is. Okay. There's There's good and there's evil. Mhm. And there are people that are just outright evil. Yeah. Mhm. That have no feelings, no emotions, no concern for others. Uh yeah, there's evil people for sure. But I do believe that that is also, you know, like your parents give you good. So, as a child, as you're born, you get good. You You That's innately you know, tried to be given to you to be a good person. Well, some parents do. But not all. Mhm. You think a mother has a baby holding her in her arms saying, "You're You know, you're going to be evil. I'm going to make sure you grow up to be evil." Wouldn't if the mother was what you perceive to be an evil person, isn't that what they would do? Maybe. Yeah, maybe smack them around, whatever. Yeah, I don't know. Okay. But I say yes, there's evil people. That's a strange question. Bob, you want to answer it next? Uh they 90% of people on the planet are evil. Mhm. Okay. But from birth? That's a yes. He said yes. Okay, so you popped out and you're evil. Hey, Liam. Was that the question? If there are people born evil? Are there evil people? I don't think it's whether they're born evil. Yes, there's [ __ ] Yes, there are evil people. Absolutely. That's kind Yes. What? Well, the only person with the correct answer is me. No, good and evil don't actually exist. Okay. Because they are actually subjective terms. What is evil to you may be good to someone else. Look at what's happening in Palestine right now. The two sides of that faction. Who is evil? Who is good? It's all subjective. It's on which side of the line do you stand uh that you perceive something to be evil or good. It It is all subjective. The truth is, there is moral relativity. It's where again, where you stand on the issue that paints it in your mind as good or evil. You probably believe abortion is evil. And the people who perform it are evil people. Yes? Mom? Dad? I think you picked this question just to get everybody riled all the questions. What What do you mean? People send them in and I pick all the questions. Yes, that's correct. W- When I first heard the word evil, evil to me is like uh physically being bad to someone. Uh you know, like pounding somebody down with a hammer or stuff like that. I mean, it doesn't have to be physical. It can be psychological. Yeah, that's true. I don't I It's It's also a question of nature versus nurture. Are there people born with like psychological What's Dad saying? The Israeli thing you're trying to say there's no good and evil is [ __ ] The most evil [ __ ] on the planet are Hamas. But not to them. They don't see themselves as evil. [ __ ] them. They're all going to die anyway. Okay. All right. Um the truth is, we are all animals. Scared and stupid trying to make it through one more day on this planet. God. I I don't get to answer the question? A collective groan. First of all, I'm not scared and I'm damn sure not stupid. Okay, let Dad answer. Go ahead. We are all scared of death and we are all stupid because we don't know what reality is. We have no idea what fundamental reality is. None of us do. to die. All right. Um the bottom line is afraid. My answer to the question is no. There are no good people. There are no evil people. They're simply people trying to engage with the the reality that we perceive in a way that makes their lives better or their experience in the described some of those too. Okay, wait a minute. The person that came up to your porch and stole the bicycle or whatever, that was a good person? I don't think they were good or evil. They were just doing what they thought was best for them in the moment. Nobody I don't personally think anyone is motivated by I'm going to be evil. I think everybody is motivated by I'm going to do what is best for me. On some level and some people are way more uh selfish in that regard and some people are way more altruistic. Like some people may say murders now. Yeah. What's that? What do you say? I can't hear him sitting like all the way over there like that. I'll get closer in a minute. He said explain the MS-13 murders. That's just trying to do what they want to do for the day? That's evil. evil person. No, but that is their business. They do those murders to help their business, to help their other gang members. They are doing what they believe to be good for their organization. You making up like you murder into this, it's like dumber than a box of rocks. What about the United States military? How many people have they murdered? The United Not enough I don't think. I Yeah. I It's getting hard to hear him, but let's move on. Harry is. Okay, thank you. Let's move on to our first topic today. Are you ready? Are you prepared for the debate? Anyone? Hello? Yeah. Yeah. Yes. Yes. Yes. All right. Thursday night had the debate. Yep, we're going to talk about it now. Thursday night Donald Trump and Joe Biden engaged in the first of what is scheduled to be two presidential debates leading into the election in November. This debate was on CNN and moderated by two of their reality stars, Jake Tapper and Dana Bash. 47.9 million people tuned into the event, a sharp decline from 2020's first presidential debate, which pulled in over 73 million viewers. But those who did watch saw Trump lie over 30 times about everything from Democratic abortion policies allowing the murder of children who have already been born to Biden allowing millions of illegal immigrants to enter the United States from mental institutions. Biden wasn't a paragon of truth either, turning in nine lies or exaggerations of his own, including claiming that US Border Patrol endorses his candidacy and that Trump wants to get rid of Social Security. But lies aside, the most important element of the entire debate was Biden's inability to maintain coherent thoughts and speech, resulting in several moments of prolonged pauses that confirmed everyone's worst suspicions about his diminished cognitive abilities. Biden seemed to be the most engaged and vigorous near the debate's conclusion when he got in an argument with Trump about his golf handicap and challenged Trump to a to play golf against him. Biden's disastrous performance led to immediate reporting of panic within the Democratic Party and discussions about a strategy for a new nominee being held at the highest levels. Even the New York Times publicly called for Biden to step down. Haley. Yeah. Do you think anyone won this debate? No. Mom. I mean Oh, sorry. Go ahead. No. I feel Yeah, I don't know. I mean, I I've read all of the articles, all the pieces written in all the [ __ ] news outlets. I think the collective thought is that we're all [ __ ] that there isn't a good option. Biden has just proven he's completely [ __ ] done. So, there isn't a good option. I don't know. Mom. Everything I've read, Trump won it like by um 80 80% to 20, Trump won. Um But do you Let me ask you this, Mom. He, in quotes, won. Do you concede the fact that he told 30 lies? No, he didn't. No, not 30. don't believe that. And like with the he lied once. with the abortion thing Okay. How about the abortion thing? He said that there are some states where you can have a baby, the baby is a full viable baby, and they will murder it there in the hospital, that that is legal under some states' abortion laws. You believe that to be true? Yes. Early on I did. isn't. I just I just Googled myself. Yeah. There are six states that allow full-term abortions. So he says he is he did not lie, jackass. And I think that's probably what you're talking about, six states. Mhm. No, uh there's like I think And of those six states, two states, if you're under 18, you don't even have to give parent uh permission. slam dunk, face plant. Joe Biden was a [ __ ] train wreck. So you can be 40 weeks pregnant in six different states. Yep. There is even an abortion.finder.org on Google where I can put in I'm 16 years old, where can I go for my abortion? I'm 40 weeks pregnant. They will give you a doctor and the state to go to. Mhm. Six states. So have you looked Have you looked up Have you looked up how many people have done that? Doesn't matter. You think they're going to put those stats on Google? No. It doesn't matter how many. It's available. Yeah, every state you can get an abortion except The only I'll tell you what I believe in the debate, the only lying [ __ ] out there was Joe Biden. He lied. Trump lied way more. I'm not making these stats up. This You can Google this, too. They put those stats on Google. CNN or whoever the [ __ ] you're looking them up on. Right. Okay, so you guys are still blinded by the reality you think exists. Let me ask you this. To Let's start with you. I know, smart guy. Okay. In the next 5 months, we're going to get attacked here at home by terrorists. All right. Cuz they have to do it before before that piece of [ __ ] gets dumped. All right. Well, we'll see. Let me ask you this, Haley. It just came across the AP. It said the DNC the Democratic people are told to ignore the Biden situation at this point. Yeah. We're going to We're going to get to all of that. Just chill for a second. Haley, Yeah. Okay. do you think Biden can win at all after this? No. No. I don't. I don't. I agree. My I don't. Uh the last episode we did, I made a prediction about the debate. I said what is most likely to come out of it is that one or both candidates would turn in a performance that would essentially eliminate them from viability for a win in the electorate's mind. And I think Biden did do that. I think my prediction came true. I think he has no chance of winning. If he does not drop out of the race, Trump wins 100% and at this point, we are just looking at an old man who is full of ego and thinks he can do it and I'm not stepping down and it's going to destroy the Democratic Party. Why not? Dad thinks you're Like when he's screaming from over there, the the thing has to be next to him. Okay. Where is he? I said that you might as well quit kidding yourself. Joe Biden is one who's running the White House and she wants to remain in the White House because her options are White House or prison. Okay. Do you think, Haley, that Biden will step down? Which is at this point it's the only way we can get another nominee unless some some unprecedented absolutely wild [ __ ] happens in the Democratic Party. I uh I don't know. I mean, I think he may be like so old and so dumb that they can force him to step down. He's not dumb. He's just he can't speak. He like his age has kind of diminished his faculties, but not dementia. Just say the word. has dementia. I don't think it's dementia. He doesn't even know what he's saying for that one question about the border, then he brought up COVID like But that's not dementia. He doesn't forget where he is or for who Donald Trump is. It's not dementia. He's just super old. a plain old man. Dementia it is. Dementia is Jill had to go up, Jill, and help him off the freaking stage. I know. You know what was interesting about that moment, though? I agree with you that was a bad moment. Oh, every moment there was nothing good. When he first walked out, he was walking out like a mummy. His hands were kind of like out in front of him and he was just kind of like rocking back and forth like a penguin, you know, scuttling along. And I knew at that moment I was like, this is [ __ ] over. And he should never be allowed to run. After this, it's like the race is over because what I think is going to happen is nobody in that de- bate got new voters. Nobody was like, "I'm going to vote for Biden, but Biden looks bad. Now I'm going to vote for Trump." Nobody is doing that. I think that statement Trump did get new voters. He did not. 100% did not. did. He told 30 lies. He engaged in these stupid conversations about their golf game. with stupid [ __ ] He didn't. Yes, he That's not even what this election is about. Trump has his base, people that are going to vote for him. That number doesn't change. The only question is, what is Biden's number going to be? And I think he did horrible damage to himself in terms of people who are like voting just to not have Trump. I think a massive amount of them saw that performance and were like, "Fuck it, I'm not voting. Period." Yeah. That is what happened on Thursday night. No. I disagree. On Thursday night It happened to me. I'm telling you, it happened to me. When I saw that, I was like, "Fuck, I know I have to vote for Trump to to adhere to Dad's birthday present, but had I not put that in place, if I was somebody who was just voting Yeah. and I'm somebody who hates Trump, I will vote against him every time, I'm like 99% like, "Fuck the Democratic Party. [ __ ] Joe Biden. I will not vote for them. I'm checking out of American politics." That, I think, is what happened to a lot of people on Thursday night, that it's like, "If these are the options, I don't give a [ __ ] I can't be a part of this." Is it possible to have a different nominee? Can they throw somebody else in the race? Because I do think that if that happened, almost no matter who it [ __ ] is, it would reinvigorate the Democratic vote. I do believe that they could win with a new nominee. And they need to get that person in front of them for the next debate. Yes. Yeah. I can't hear Dad again because he's Dad needs to be sitting next to you to hear anything he's saying. God damn it. Just a minute. This is important. Yeah. This is This is This is a good I mean, like, [ __ ] Anybody under the age of, like, seven at this point. Literally [ __ ] any Just put a warm body out there and I feel like, you know, if you can walk and talk, I will First of all, Haley's talking. First of all, you you two need to realize something. It's too late to change. No, it isn't. Because if Oh, yeah, yes, it is. And here's why. If he steps down, someone new must be put in his place. That's the only way for this to happen. if he steps down, guess who has to have the automatic nomination. That's not true. Kamala Harris. She can step down, too. true. It is true if they want to keep their war chest. If they go to a different person, the $147 million or whatever they have in their war chest goes straight out the [ __ ] window. I don't think that matters that much. [ __ ] money. They got no [ __ ] money. They got no [ __ ] money. They got no [ __ ] money. No, no. Right now, what is happening? If you are so blind, I don't even want to talk to you. Here. Oh my god. Nice conversation to have with you about politics, Dad. Um I say my point and then I run away. So, let me say this. Right now, the mega donors, I just read a big article about this for the Democratic Party, are having these closed-door meetings. Biden is going to them. He had a a closed-door mega donor thing in New York. He had one in the Hamptons, where he's like coming out and trying to mimic the the thing he did in the North Carolina rally the day after the uh And nobody showed up. where he's like, "I I do have strength and I am angry and I" and he's out there acting like he's still got some mojo. These donors, at least from the articles I'm reading, are saying essentially they're splitting down the middle. There are some that are like, "Fuck it. He This crazy old man is not stepping down. We have to just get behind him." And there are others that are like, "No, we have to leverage all of our resource into a hard campaign to get him to step down." The New York Times has already put out an op-ed saying it's time to step down. I mean, this is the [ __ ] New York Times who backed the Democratic nominee every goddamn year for however many years. They're saying, "Dude, step aside." I think that there is an amount of public pressure that can be applied to him to get him to step down. The thing that is bad about it Go ahead. Go ahead. The thing that makes that um I think the thing that makes it the most unlikely, and I'm I'm hopeful still that it will happen, the thing that makes it the most unlikely is you have Kamala Harris, Obama, his wife, plenty of people within the Democratic Party like huge heavyweights that are like, "Hey everybody, we just got to get behind him and keep pressing forward." And it's like, "No, the American people, specifically the Democratic electorate, don't [ __ ] want to do that anymore. We did it in 2020. Nobody wanted to vote for him then, and we all did it, and he won." I I just think there are too many people who are like, "Come on. We all saw that on Thursday night at the debate. We are not voting for that." And I think that they will lose. I think there is no chance that Joe Biden can win this election after Thursday night, even after all of his, you know, fake bluster in these rallies and and closed door uh fundraiser meetings. Okay, the reason they are willing to back him and keep him going is because if they don't, their asses will be in jail. And Donald Trump will do that to them. His wife is what I want to say, the one in the closet. Mhm. She is the one pushing him to run. Now, any wife that loves their husband that's would see, you know, saw that on TV, what went down, she would take him home, you're staying, we're done. Stick a fork in it. You did see. She's not. Trump didn't need any help getting off the stage because Melania was nowhere to be seen. Is she dead? Yeah, that's what I was going to say. Is she dead? What? Where is Melania? Why is she uh nowhere within a million miles of her husband during his entire to some of his functions, so don't even go there. I'm just curious. What I liked is Trump walked off on his own accord. There was the lady that said, you know, come this way. He did. Joe Biden and they didn't start showing that until like the next day. She had to come up on stage, grab his hand, and I I don't I should have um Googled this to see if it was true or not, fact-checked it. She said to him, "You answered all the questions." And what did Trump do? Lie. Wait, wait, wait. Then she said, "And you had all the questions." Uh-huh. I've seen that three times now in three different places. cares? Even if he had all the questions, it was the worst debate performance by any presidential candidate in modern history. And no one is saying otherwise. Not Don- Donald Trump. Who cares? Donald Trump can make complete sentences. I agree with you. I'm Look, Trump for sure was more coherent than Biden. That doesn't matter. Trump is, for many people, the Antichrist. No person who is who was not going to vote for Trump before this debate has changed their mind. That person doesn't exist. We've always said in politics, it's who's the best liar. Who's the best liar up there? I thought Biden lied a lot, too. That's what uh was it Carolina, you know, where the KKK and all that? That was debunked 2 days before. It's been debunked several times. I'm not About Donald Trump. It's not just Donald Trump. It's not just Donald Trump that people are voting against. It's like his entire agenda. Like you've read the whole 2025 agenda, right? Well, on his first day him and his cabinet first day, he will have the biggest illegal and I'll say that [ __ ] word. I'm not afraid to say they're illegal. People won't even say that word anymore. But it's so much more than that. Like there's such a into our country the correct way. They are murdering girls. They are raping girls here. It's more than that. It's literally the downfall of our entire government system. It's the downfall of our country. That's number one on his agenda to round them up, get them out of here and I agree with that 100% and so does your dad. That's number one on his agenda. What's wrong with that? Saving American lives. It's it's so far beyond that. It's all of the other stuff that he wants to do to get rid of trans rights and women's rights etc. etc. The list goes on and on. We've been through this list because he was president for 4 years. It's the same [ __ ] list. Like think about this. Right Wait a minute. One more thing. The day Biden took office day number one, he did what? 90 some executive orders and overturned everything Trump did. Right now in your state of Oklahoma they have implemented a [ __ ] law where all public schools grades 5 through 12 will now be learning the Bible as part of their history lessons. You damn right. think it's the Bible. Is it? the Bible and they are required to hold the 10 Commandments in every classroom. I thought that was in Louisiana. It is also Louisiana and now it's Oklahoma. And Texas is trying to push too. I believe in God. I don't see anything wrong with that. And if you are in a public school system and don't like it, you can home school your child. So then should we also learn the Quran? The Satanic Bible? No. Why not? Christian country. This is yeah. Christian It's not a Christian country. It's not. This country was founded on the principle that we separate church and state. In fact, the people who fled England to come here were doing it because of that. They they were escaping religious persecution. You two think that because you don't believe in God, and you know that hurts my heart more It has nothing to do with that. I want all Americans to feel free to think whatever they want to think, and have whatever religion they want to have, pray to whatever God they want to pray to, or not, whatever. All Americans. But to force children You're you're so against like, "Oh, children shouldn't have decisions when it comes to like if they want to take gender-affirming care or any of that." You're like, "Kids don't know any better." Then why would you be pumping religious [ __ ] down their throats when they walk into public school? Time to turn the table. They can go to, like I said, an online school if their parents want, a private school. Okay. They don't have to stay in public school if they don't like that. But you think public school should be Christian school. Yes. Yes, which is what private schools are. Not all. There's also some weird uh Satanistic group that wants to teach Satanistic in our schools. Well, if you're going to teach Christianity, why can't you teach Why can't you teach Satanism? Satanistic. Yeah. Well, we're back to the same old argument. Satanistic. Hello. Hello. We're back to evil and good. Mhm. You think Christianity is good? Yeah. How many people have been murdered in the name of Christianity? In the name of the Lord. Oh God. none? Do you not Did you ever learn about the Crusades? Like the Crusades? Yeah. Come on. Well, I just hear him grunting in the background. We can't see him. I can't hear what he's saying. That Mom, that camera and iPad have to be near him if he's talking. He'll just keep He'll just keep going round the same circle. Dad said you're going around the same circles. What cir- What What circle? What's the circle he's talking about? That nothing matters. That nothing matters. God, evil, saint. No, I'm saying things do matter. But I think in America, one of the For me, anyway, one of the best things about America is that there is no religion forced on you, that you do have freedom of speech. Yes. It never gets off the [ __ ] track. That's going in number two. Okay. Well, that's it. That's our debate coverage. It was a unmitigated disaster for Joe Biden. Will he step down? Time will tell, I suppose, but He's not going to step down because if he does, they're all going to jail. Yeah. It's interesting that I think as a career politician for him at this point, especially in his life, he's got to be thinking a lot about legacy. What will he be remembered as? And right now, I think he will be remembered as the guy who had too much ego. What did Dad say? Are you remembered as a Benedict Arnold. I think he'll be remembered as a guy who had too much ego to step aside. Um and his whole platform was like, we have to save democracy. Right now, the thing that saves it is for him to step aside, and he's not going to do that. And so, in the end, it was never about democracy for him. It's only about ego. In my humble opinion. Moving on to Well, [ __ ] we're almost halfway through this. That was kind of a long thing. We may only get to three segments today, but segment number two is The Texas Supreme Court upholds transphobic laws. On Friday, the Texas Supreme Court ruled to allow the state's ban on nearly all gender-affirming care for minors to remain in effect. In an 8-to-1 decision, the all-Republican court overturned a lower court's order that blocked implementation of the law, which bars Texas health care providers from providing gender transition surgeries, puberty blocking medication, or hormone therapies to those under 18. The ban was passed by the state's Republican-controlled legislature in May 2023 after days of protests and procedural delays by Democrats, which led to a provision that allowed those who had started receiving treatment to wean off. Under the law, which was signed last June, healthcare providers who offer such care would have their license revoked. Gender-affirming care for minors has become a political flashpoint with Democrats criticizing Republicans for introducing record numbers of anti-LGBTQ bills and arguing that the medical decisions regarding minors should be left to their parents. The Biden administration directly challenged Tennessee's ban on gender-affirming care for minors in the US Supreme Court announced this week that it will hear the appeal, which will determine whether the states can restrict can restrict such care. Okay. Now, Haley, I know you're against this, obviously. But I want to ask this question everybody. We'll start with Haley. Do you think that this type of, or any kind of medical care, really, is a decision for the state or the federal government, or is it a decision for the parents and their children? I think And and this doesn't just apply So, this is kind of like a gateway. And they're already taking rights away from women. Now it's transgender people. Like, the question is always what's next? So, it has to deal with bodily autonomy. No one should be able to tell really anyone what to do with their bodies, who they are, how they perceive themselves. Like, it it is definitely not something I think should be federally regulated or state regulated. Uh you know, I have kids. I am their advocate when they are little. And then as they get older, I mean, I certainly knew who I was at like 15, 16, 17. You know, like as you enter kind of teenage years, you start to discover who you are, how you feel. No government should ever be able to tell you what to do with your body, ever. Mom? I think our country is so divided in all kinds of topics like that, that it's going to come down to you're going to be living with the same people that think the same way you do in whatever state it is. I really think Chad you could write a script, a TV show or something on this where all the people that believe in the same thing go to California and live happily ever after there with all the laws, all the things that you believe in. because when it's a federal regulation, it doesn't matter what [ __ ] state you live in. I'm saying state regulated. That's what I think it'll come down to. thing's going to go to the Supreme Court and whatever their decision is is going to open it up for basically every state to do this exact same kind of thing based on whatever the federal government says. And then it can become federal law and now it's enforced on every state no matter uh who wants it or doesn't want it. But my question Mom was in terms of bodily autonomy, do you think the government should be allowed to make these decisions even for children or should this be a decision left up to the parents and the child? Probably uh to the parents, yeah. To the Okay, so you're against this then? But not a child that's 5 years old. Well, they're not doing it to a child that's 5 years old. Mhm. That's that's some weird propaganda [ __ ] that you got just like you're killing babies that are born into hospitals. Like this is all [ __ ] Okay. Is Dad still there? Yes. Can we hear Dad's opinion about this? He's just sitting there. Just a minute, I'll get him. We need a professional studio here Chad and we're going to keep this up. What are you talking about a professional studio? You want to put 10 grand into building a podcast studio in your house? For our five five listeners. First of all, first of all Okay, don't yell. A B C D E F G people Okay, be nice. amount to [ __ ] in this country anyway. What they've done now is they've turned the covers back on themselves. And the overwhelming population in this country do not agree with them. And they're going to lose this battle. Because it's [ __ ] Why And I believe and I believe yes the government should step in since since most LBGTPQDD whatever the [ __ ] it is parents are more evil than anybody on the [ __ ] planet what they're doing to their kids. So somebody's got to step up and tell these [ __ ] morons how to live. Let me ask you this question, Dad. Why do you care so much about how other people parent their children? I don't. That's but I don't give a [ __ ] how they parent their kids. Then why do you care about this? I don't. You clearly do. I'm just telling you you asked me you asked me what I thought was going to happen. No, I'm I'm saying are you against this? This ban or are you for it? Should there be a ban on gender-affirming care for minors or should there not? Yes. Why? Why do you care? Because it's not right for the kids. But it is right for some of them. You have to imagine Even well even take your kind of theoretical view. It's not right for one. You know what? Chad, I'm sick and tired of your wheel going around in the same [ __ ] track week in and week out. My wheel on the same track. not discussing anything new. Same old about? We're literally discussing new topics that have happened over the course of the past week. No, we're not. We've been over this LGB TQ [ __ ] for Why do you say it like that? Why do you diminish it like that? If I may ask. I told I told the two of you year ago, at least, that that what the problem with all these ABCDFP people Can I pause you right there for a second and ask you a question? They now have They now have brought light to their problem. Yeah. And they're going to lose cuz they're in the wrong [ __ ] country. Now, let me ask you this. against Go ahead. against people being gay? No. Then why do you say all these ABCD L B T Q people? Why do you say it like that? between being gay and butchering your own kids. So, when you're saying that, you're just you are referencing the transgender community. You are not including LGBTQ plus is just a blanket like an umbrella. It's easier to say the ABCD people than it is. No, I'm not against gays. Gays can do whatever they want. They're fine. They're not out butchering their [ __ ] kids. But trans people you don't like. That's exactly right. Or their own rights. Okay. What about trans adults? What about like anyone over the age of 18 that's trans? They're on their They're on their [ __ ] own now. But that doesn't bother you as much. If they If they want to go back and put their body parts back, they can't. We don't have Also, that's just I think you you have this misconception that all transgender people have top surgeries, bottom surgeries. That's just not the case. Well, I don't give a [ __ ] You clearly do. less. But what you keep saying it's because they're For God's damn sakes, listen to me. They're 1% of our [ __ ] population. What they want doesn't [ __ ] matter. What percentage of the population do you perceive yourself as? Oh, probably 80%. So, 80% of Americans are 70 or older white men? I don't know. Google it. We'll see who's right. It won't It's I can tell you he's not. Let me Google it. At least half the population is women, period, so that cuts it down to 50. The most he could be is 50, and and that's not accurate. That's wrong. Let me Google it. What do I Not Not half the women in this country are on your side. Wait. Better than Google, I can ask Alexa. What do I need to ask her? Nothing. Let's move on, uh, if you will. Oh, just Oh, okay. old [ __ ] circle. Okay, go. All right, it's the same old [ __ ] circle. Speaking of circles, our simmer down this week involves record companies. Uh, this past week, the major three record companies, which are, I believe, Warner Brothers, Sony, and Universal Publishing, I forget which ones they are, but they all brought giant lawsuits against these two companies that make AI music, Udio and Suno, both of which I use frequently to make AI music. I wanted to kick it out to you guys. What do you think, each individually, about these lawsuits, about the state of music, and about artificial intelligence being used to make music, Haley? What are they What is in the lawsuit? Like, what are they doing? Basically, they're saying that these two companies, Suno and Udio, illegally used copywritten material to train their AI models. So, basically, uploading a bunch of different songs made by human beings into their AI models, and that's what they use to make new stuff. And then the truth is, like, of course they did that. That's how you train all these large language models. There's a similar lawsuit right now, uh, pending between the New York Times and OpenAI, who makes ChatGPT. The New York Times is claiming they used copywritten New York Times articles to train the chatbots, and they did. Um, but the, uh, I think the truth of it, where this will shake out, I feel like, because it it's really just about money. The record companies are like, "Shit, how do we make money off of this?" It'll all come down to, I think, a licensing fee will be paid by these AI companies to the record labels, and that'll be that. But the idea, at least in my opinion, that you can't use copyrighted material to train the AIs. It's like, "Well, that's how we train ourselves." You listen to a bunch of music, and then you're like, "I think I can make music." And you make it kind of like stuff you've heard or whatever. Yeah. So I feel I mean I think we all know that AI is the way of the future. We understand that that's coming, but I do also believe in regulations, because there are musicians and artists and different companies that have completely built their entire business model, their lives, you know, doing this [ __ ] for the last however many years. Um I I believe in in certainly being paid for what what you're doing. So I mean, yeah, I mean, I believe in regulations for this [ __ ] But Chad, didn't you say like if you do an AI album of music, that's not going to be sold with real music, right? I mean going to put it on Spotify. Uh essentially all art, you are recycling art. If you are putting out your art, you are recycling something that you've already seen, already heard, you know, whatever. I do it in my business. I am inspired by [ __ ] that I see all the time. So nothing is new, nothing is fresh. You're simply just [ __ ] recycling old [ __ ] That's just the way it's been for Yeah. you know, [ __ ] eternity. So you know, AI is new, some people don't understand it, so it's scary. You know, so we sue. But I think that certainly some some regulations need to be put into place, but it has to be allowed, because this is the way of the future. Well But if you're going to sell that, you have to say it's AI, right? [ __ ] You don't? No. I thought you had to say it's AI. Cuz it's manipulated. EDM producers have to say that I used a computer to make this, which by the way is all music. Um, AI art has to be told it's AI art or doesn't it? To sell art? No. I thought it does. anything. If you're entering some competition that doesn't allow AI art, you probably have to say it is. And YouTube has a thing that is uh has a little check box where you can say AI was used in the making of this video or something like that, but you don't have to. Who cares? Okay, you need to simmer down and talk to Haley about her sixth year anniversary, too, which was pretty cool. Yeah, Haley, you want to give some props? Six years she's been in business as a independent business owner, baker, Hive Bakery. Custom. Mhm. Mhm. Mhm. I don't know. What do you want to know? It's been [ __ ] hard. Had to repair part of my AC this week, freezer, refrigerator. Ching ching ching. Uh I don't know. It's good and bad. I don't have to work for anybody. Right before you. Currently, yeah. We're waiting on parts for the AC and just [ __ ] hoping that it doesn't blow out. Um, six years. It's been somehow long and short. I don't know how to Right now it feels good. Everything is pretty smooth. Uh you know, but everything ebbs and flows and for the last six years I've had high [ __ ] ups and low [ __ ] downs. But we've been on TV, won Food Network championships, like I'm I'm writing a cookbook and a book. I got all these [ __ ] projects going on and they all kind of spiral from you know, the the [ __ ] inception of this business that I created six years ago, so I see it as just opportunity happening. Uh I don't know. We talk about chaining sometimes, but everything feels so kind of like even keel right now. Opening a second location um would be pure chaos, and the kids are all getting ready to start college and start their lives, and I don't want to be chained down to another [ __ ] venture like a chain. So, I don't know. I think I'm going to try to just beef up social media, write my [ __ ] books. We're doing well at the bakery. Six years in, I feel pretty um pretty good about where we are. A lot of businesses don't make it past like the one and the three-year mark. Like 60% of bakeries close at the three-year mark, and we are profiting and [ __ ] not slowing down. So, I feel pretty good. That's great. Well, congratulations on six years in business for yourself. Yeah. If anybody out there is in the What are you guys in? Flower Mound area? Yeah, like Dallas. The Dallas area? Dallas area. Check out Hive Bakery. What are you guys Are you in Flower Mound or Grapevine? We're in Flower Mound. Flower Mound. Hive Bakery. Go get yourself a cinnamon roll. Or perhaps a Joe Biden cookie. You guys going to make any Biden goods? Probably not. All right. Probably not. Let's move on to what is going to be our no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no. We actually did make a whole bunch of uh pride cookies through the month of June. You guys are going to love this. And I kind of pulled our audience um cuz we have a pretty big following, and I was given, you know, like a handful of organizations uh that people thought were worthy of donating to. So, I'm going to donate 50% of what we made off of all these [ __ ] pride cookies to um an LGBTQ+ community kind of project uh as our part in in that [ __ ] community. So, and we did it with when Roe v. Wade was overturned, we donated a bunch of money from my body, my choice cookies. So, like I use the platform to try to raise money for the things that mean something to me. Uh you know, it's not all just a a [ __ ] show. It's not a facade. We actually donate money and give a [ __ ] about these things. How about do Biden cookies give 50% to him and then Trump cookies and 50%? I don't think so. Let's move on. Yeah, cuz I I wanted to [ __ ] vote. I wanted that O in. I hate Greg Abbott. I [ __ ] hate him. Oh my god. Let's move on to our what will be our final topic today. Homeless people can now be ticketed for being homeless. The Supreme Court ruled Friday in favor of an Oregon city that ticketed homeless people for sleeping outside, rejecting arguments that such anti-camping ordinances violate the Constitution's ban on cruel and unusual punishment. Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote the opinion for the 6-3 conservative majority with the three liberal justices dissenting. The ordinances in question barred people from sleeping in public with bedding, which can include sleeping bags or bundled up clothing. Each violation of the ordinances carried a $295 fine, which increased to more than $500 if not paid. After two tickets, police could order a person to avoid the park for 30 days. Anyone who violated that order could then be sentenced to 30 days in jail. Haley, should homeless people be criminalized? No. Um I I don't have the [ __ ] answers. I don't know what the answers are. I don't know if it's to build more homeless shelters or [ __ ] set up programs. I don't have the answers, but I don't perceive homeless people to be the [ __ ] enemy. I don't think they need to be ticketed or run off. I don't have a [ __ ] viable answer to to change the homelessness in America, but I don't think homeless people are the bad guy. So, no. I It's It should not be criminalized. I think a lot of them uh the majority of homeless people obviously don't want to be [ __ ] homeless. They have no alternative. They need help. Mom? Yes, our government Our government should be helping homeless. Our government should be helping veterans. Our government should help veterans over illegal immigrants that are being put up in four-star hotels while there's homeless people on the street. They walk over them and go up to the fourth floor that our government is paying for. Now, that is something wrong. Mhm. So, the illegal immigrants are stepping over homeless people going up to the fourth floor to have their shower and bed and food for the night. asked her if she'd be okay with the homeless person Okay, Dad wants to know would you be okay with homeless people camping in your front yard? Would you invite them in? I mean, I wouldn't enjoy homeless people camping in my front yard, but I'm I probably wouldn't call the [ __ ] police and have them arrested. What about in front of your business? This just happened here recently in Los Angeles in Hollywood. A bunch of these small business owners in Hollywood, they bought a bunch of planters with like little trees and stuff and they put them on the sidewalk in front of their businesses. Yeah. So, that homeless people couldn't camp there. Yeah. And uh the LA County was like, "You can't do this." They came and took the trees and [ __ ] away and the homeless people put all their tents there in front of these small businesses. And the small business owners are basically like, "We can't our businesses will close because of this. Diminishes people from being able to come in." Of course. Blah blah blah blah blah. Um How would you feel about something like this? I obviously not good, you know? My business is my [ __ ] livelihood. Like I said, I don't have the [ __ ] answers. I don't think homeless people are it shouldn't be criminalized. I agree. I I feel like, you know, there should be shelters set up, [ __ ] therapy, like there should be [ __ ] in place in every [ __ ] community to help the homeless population. Um I I They're all our people. I agree. feel like it should be criminalized. I feel like obviously our government has failed this population of people in our country, like miserably, year after year. How about keep the illegals that aren't supposed to be here out, make them go back home, and give our homeless people the fourth floor in the hotels, or give the homeless people a place to live. Our government has failed miserably. It's time to put someone in that will do the job. Trump How about you? And you think Donald Trump is going to save homeless people and end the homeless? Yes, he is. Yes, he is. And on day one, the illegals Like what? Like throwing them in jail? The illegals that are not here correctly, that are not with a piece of paper that states they are an American and documented, bye-bye. Let me ask you this. If we're I think we're giving Israel like $4 roughly over the course of this year and and a little bit of last, what if we gave them $3 and spent a billion on uh homelessness in America? Would you be okay with that? And same thing for Ukraine. And Hamas, Dad said. Same thing How much are we giving to Ukraine, my God? Think how we could help the homeless people here. 160 billion, Dad just said. Oh, my God. Yeah, it's [ __ ] Our Our government is [ __ ] Yeah. Mhm. I can tell you Donald Trump wouldn't have given 160 billion. He won't take it away. Yeah. Ukraine's done. Okay. that this I mean, basically every major city now is experiencing, I don't know if you guys have seen it around Oklahoma City or seen it around Dallas, but every major US city is now experiencing homelessness at a rate that like in my lifetime, I don't think I've seen anything like this in LA. We've seen it in other major 5 years or something? Yeah. See Yeah. You know why? Go ahead. We travel a lot. Mhm. Um we travel to other countries. We travel to most of the big cities like in the United States. And I have honestly and we've been traveling for a while. And I would say like in the next in the last maybe like four or five years Four years? the problem has [ __ ] I mean like it's it's very noticeable when you go to a big city now how bad it's getting. Okay, did you did you just hear yourself what you said, Haley? In the last four years. Mhm. We've had Biden for four years. Hello. Yeah, I think the inflation is a big part of that. Yeah. When the minimum amount of money that you have to have to not be homeless gets raised by like $5,000 a year, that's going to carve off a chunk of people who can't afford that. And they then become homeless. giving our United States money away to foreign countries. Yeah. You always You do this all the time. Dad keeps saying around and around and around. Same old [ __ ] And I feel like it's the same from you. Chad and I do not love Joe Biden the way that you love Trump. And I think maybe that's where your wires are crossed. He's not our savior. I voted for him so I didn't have to vote for Donald Trump. So no, I don't agree with all of policies. I do think he's doing a [ __ ] job. It's not that I [ __ ] just love Joe Biden. It's that I love my [ __ ] freedom. I love democracy. And Donald Trump is going to destroy everything that [ __ ] exists here. No. I I love our Dad just said, "What freedom have you gained?" I can tell you what I've lost because of Donald Trump stacking our Supreme Court. I can tell you what I'm going to continue to lose if he's elected in 2025. What have you gained with Biden being your president? Can't think anything. But this is this is what she's talking about. Biden isn't somebody who is giving us anything good. He is simply the alternative to something very bad. He's kind of like a stopgap, you know? He's a He's a a plunger that you put in the bathtub to stop the water from going out and it's still trickling out, but not as fast. And that's where we totally disagree. We will never be on the same page because when Trump was president, our country was so much better, Chad. It was so much better, Haley. It wasn't. You can look, I'm not going to go through all this [ __ ] Anyone can feel free to Google it, but in that debate, Trump claimed best this under my presidency. We had the best economy anybody ever had from when I was president. And he said all this [ __ ] that was like, "We had the best this. We had the best this. We had the best this." It was all lies. You can Google this. Look at my face. I turned red on your Look at my face. I turned red on your trying to impersonate him. Um Yeah, I mean, I They both are are horrible presidential candidates. Biden's impersonation wouldn't be much better. Something's got to give. Something's got to give. We're going to see and I'm hopeful that it is. Biden is forced to step down. If the I do think if the public outcry becomes enough he's he will have no choice and it needs to just go that direction very fast to make sure that we get like if they are going to do that if that is what's going to happen it needs to happen immediately because you need the the new candidate to be in there as long as possible. You said one thing you said one thing that makes makes no sense. He will have to step down. This is not his choice. He's not even he's got effing dementia Chad. It's not just the situation. think he has dementia. I think he's just very old. No, he's got dementia. like Other other people are making these decisions not him. If you if he's running our country he's not times. Ronald Reagan was in late phase dementia when he was the president. His wife ran the whole [ __ ] show. That is nothing new. But they have hid this from us. They they you know like they don't care. Oh, this is AI generated. Those clips are AI generated. Well, they couldn't AI generate that [ __ ] that went on during the debate could they? No, I agree. It was a very bad debate performance. Like I said when we talked about it I think it 100% solidified he cannot win. He will not win. If Biden is running against Trump Trump wins. That is very clear to me. We will see. why that how they're like still deluding themselves that any other outcome is even possible after that debate. We're going to see. It's getting close. Yeah, he keeps saying like it was one bad night. Do we not remember how fickle the American electorate is? Howard Dean was on track to become the next president in whatever year that was and then he had one like his voice cracked at a rally. We're going to take New Hampshire. WE'RE GOING TO TAKE IOWA. OR whatever he did and that was it. That was it. His whole [ __ ] Not only that was it like a bad night for the campaign, it was a bad second. It was like half a second of his voice changing octave. Whole political career over. He [ __ ] disappeared into obscurity. Now he's only remembered for that moment. And I think Biden will be the same. I think whatever his legacy was, he will be remembered for a disastrous debate performance that destroyed not only his entire political career, but the Democratic Party along with it. I just can't believe we're here. I know. I can't Like I can't believe it. I do have a patriot friend and she wants to go to some rallies, but all Donald Trump's rallies are too far away. So we have a second thing we're going to do and I will get some film of that. There's a place here real close by where we can go be with other patriots and it'll be fun and I'll get clips. I don't get it, but all right. some of them. Tell Tell as many of these patriots as you can, tell them that you do a podcast, invite them to come on it if they want to come on it. And say like these are some of the things we talk about. This is what my kids think. This is what we think. Get Get some good video of it. If you send me that video, get Maybe take like Love Love you. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Jesus Christ. Love you, Chad. Love you, Mary Lou. Peace out. Dad was ready to die. Ready for his nap. Love you, Chad. Just like what do you say, 80% of the United States? No, we got to go to the barn. We got to go see Shining. I understand. All right, well, Mom, get as much footage as you can of that. At least give me like 30 minutes of footage or something and I'll cut it down to like 10 minutes that'll be pretty interesting. You send will be probably closer to It'll be within a couple months. I'll be there. Sure. Whenever you do, just get me half an hour of footage and I'll cut it down into something great. Um All right, well, I love you, Haley. I love you, Mom. I love you, Dad, as well. Okay. Love you, Mom. love you dad, love you Chad. Okay. I think I said it, didn't I or not? Or do I have dementia? I love you Chad, I love you Bob, I love you Haley. All right, we will see you next week. [ __ ] wait, wait, wait. Wait, wait, where's [ __ ] [ __ ] says she loves you all. Say, "I love you." All right, love you kids. There she is. She had a bad week. And bye-bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Mhm.
