in the aftermath of the 2024 election America is even more divided than before half the country fears the end of democracy and the other half welcomes it as America inches toward the brink of authoritarian Rule now more than ever we must force ourselves to have the necessary conversation welcome to the necessary conversation I'm Chad culton with me is my sister Haley Pope looking good you're kind of at the bottom of the frame just to let you know and my mom and my dad Mary Lou and Bob my sister and I are of course left leaning progressives and my mom and dad are deep in the magga pit now this week I want to start this podcast this episode by discussing what happened to the podcast this week I took control of our social media and in the first week we had a video on Tik Tok that got 2.8 million views dad that's more people than watch Newsmax during Prime Time hours that's it is 100% sure I researched it no Newsmax gets about 320,000 viewers during prime time that's awesome that's good thank you yes so I wanted to talk a little bit briefly about for all the new viewers who are coming in because of that Tik Tok video what this podcast is about and address some of the various DMS that each of us have gotten over the course of this Haley I know you've gotten some Mom and Dad I know you've gotten some I want to start out with one that I've gotten with some frequency why are you giving your parents a platform that is what I've been asked what basically why am I doing this podcast and it's my belief that the richest people in the world are laughing at us because they have us fighting over things like transgender mice while they're robbing Us blind and after four years of that I don't know if there's going to be an America left so instead of fighting with my parents or with anybody else who's on the other side I I just don't think that fixes anything I'm actually trying to talk to them uh I think 2024 prove that we can vote all we want that is not going to fix this and I think truly the only way to fix it is to keep talking to the other side so that we can both find some way to agree that the biggest problem facing the country is not each other it's actually the rich people that are openly controlling everything and for ing us to fight so that we stay mad at each other instead of realizing they're the ones who are destroying the country so that is why I in quotes give my parents a platform I also don't think it serves anyone to try and silence somebody or say I'm never talking to that person again I got a bunch of DMS saying if those are my parents I'd never talk to them again and that's fine that is your right to make that choice and everything for me that's not uh I don't think that works we Mom and Dad we did that for some amount of time not really talking during much of the Obama Administration and I just don't think it works because we're here're where we are now I get the same thing I have people commenting on anytime I post anything about this podcast you know um well I just don't I agree with everything you've ever said but not this you just can't talk to these people you have to let them go and it's just not that simple for me because they are our parents um they're my family so I think it's worth you know talking to them and trying to to maintain a [ __ ] family uh I would never give my parents up so I you know I I don't really care if people agree with it or not I think it's important um ultimately I think we've gotten somewhere in the last what two two and a half years over two years yeah Haley I think the mic you're using is the mic on your computer instead of the microphone if you want to go into your settings and change audio to the microphone that would be helpful are you sure pretty sure is that working I'm hearing just a bunch of room Echo but whatever it's fine who cares been sick mom and dad let me hear about some of the DMS you've received because I know Mom you sent me some text messages saying people are being mean to you I don't get any because I don't get on internet he doesn't read them don't tell them okay I don't tell him yeah I don't read them all anymore okay when we started this two and a half years ago Chad called me gave me the concept what do you think I said well I guess yeah sounds good and uh he said will you be prepared if people say they hate you and they want you dead I said yeah that'll never happen uh are you prepared people will say they like you yeah well all of that has happened um I've had people say to us what are we doing speaking to our children anymore because they drank the Kool-Aid and they're The farle Crazies not us I've had people um I read some of the remarks but because I've been kicked off now of our accounts and someone else has taken over you're not kicked off you're free to post your your butterfly face videos whenever you want I'm just going to start posting stuff that is promoting the podcast because I'm trying to grow this thing a little bit I know I don't care if they say stuff to us like we should be in a nursing home I don't care if they say stuff to us like I hope you've taken your medicine today that we're old people and blah blah blah but what I do care about is they wishes dad now I know Dad says that a lot on the or Bob does yeah I wish them dead back okay he doesn't know them he he wishes a lot of people did okay but we see it in a message that is directed at you that said I I am happy I will be happy when you and your husband are six foot under yeah those I'm not going to block those people but I will take that message and uh make it disappear if someone is wishing me death my husband you Chad or Haley and I've got one maybe that way directed toward you guys I take them off and then to flip that I want to thank people that do repost our our um episodes because I do think that's gotten us a lot of hits and a lot of viers some people do do that you can kind of dish it out but you can't take it with in that regard you're blocking these these posts but you and Dad do I'm not going post that wishes me Deb I won't do it okay fair enough we all have our limits Dad what's that what rant and rant shut it down okay Dad what is your reaction to this to a video it's primarily you talking about how you think zalinsky started the war 2.8 million views yeah that's fine he likes it there there need to be about 280 million views uhuh so that the world gets gets a grip on what's going on he likes it because I thought he was gonna say so the world gets a dose of Bob so the world can see me he likes it because he told me to get the computer ready it was almost time today oh okay so Dad's getting a little taste of Fame and things are turning around all right well let's move on now that we have talked about that to our listener question unless mom do you have diddies oh my gosh Chad you know I have didies okay and I I'm there's no way I'm gonna get to all of them look look I started with not too many and we also have six topics okay pick like three there's a massive Killing Spree of Christians and other innocent uh civilians right now in Syria why is that not being covered I haven't seen any of that um Republicans hammered on the mayors of Boston Chicago Denver and New York over Sanctuary City policies Chicago mayor said he had given out 573 million to illegals Denver 79 million New York City drumroll 6.9 billion Boston said I don't know all right I'm not aware of any of this but all right I'm not done I got a couple more I'll do them quick um Jean Hackman we had talked about them dying last week and it's very sad and they have determined she went first she died of a weird um it's inhaling rodent poop and especially deer mouse poop Hanna virus and I guess once you get it in your lungs that's it you're dead so she died first laid there for a week so sad and then because of his dementia he just roamed around and then he had an AE and his heart gave out and he died of heart disease it said very sad but that was a mystery none of us could figure out the stranded astronauts I've always wor wondered about them they just now this week uh Barry U Barry wellmore he's one of the astronauts and there's a woman named Sunni Williams they stated that they do believe mus that when musk claimed that Biden refused their rescue mission and Trump also stated that he said yes I do believe that they left us up here on purpose so it's very sad we're trying to get them back uh what have the Democrats done the last 45 days I'll do it real quick voted to keep Boys in girl Sports voted against tax cuts tried to block musk for cutting waste and and no you can't just say against tax cuts against tax cuts for who just against tax cuts it says that's what I no against tax cuts for billionaires oh okay and then they sued to stop our government from deporting illegals my God okay okay all right can we move on one last thing since Trump said he wanted to take over the Gaza and do the highrises and all the fancy hotels and everything on March 4th the Arab Nations led by an emergency Arab Summit pledged 53 billion to rebuild without displacing the I've worked and paid taxes since I was 15 years old my daughter has had two pregnancies her first little girl had no complications her second little girl was born with spinabifida she's now 13 years old and will be in a wheelchair for the rest of her life she has had 12 surgeries with the first one being at 6 hours old she is on Medicaid because her parents who both work full-time cannot afford these surgeries my question is to Bob does my grand daughter deserve Medicaid being paid with your taxes because it is a very real possibility her health care will be taken away because of trump and musk I also thank my lucky stars that not one person in my family close or extended is drinking the Kool-Aid thank you very much love this pod keep up the great work all right there you have it Dad wait a minute Chad there we go all right first of all uh Trump has nothing to do with Medicaid you don't think that musk and Trump are cutting people no I think what they're doing is they're throwing it back to the state I don't know where this woman lives but she needs to be talking to her state legislator okay but you don't think that Trump and musk have talked about cutting Medicaid oh yeah they they have talked incessantly about cutting the fat out of Medicaid well we're paying for people who don't have never paid anything in people are getting Medicaid who are not even legal me members of the United States of America they're illegal aliens and they're getting Medicaid okay well that's not what the question was this is a legal member of the United States of America as you put it do you think this if you're a legal if you're a legal citizen of of your state legal of your state it has nothing to do with the feds okay I'm sure this child is a legal resident of the state so if she wants her Medicaid she needs to talk to her state legislators okay and they should be taking hers away anyway okay so the question your answer then is my question okay first of all she's blaming the wrong people second of all I don't know what state she lives in uhuh but it's up to her State whether she gets Medicaid or not all right there you have it there's the answer now let's move on to our first topic Trump's address to Congress this week Trump delivered his first second term addressed to Congress the speech lasted 1 hour 39 minutes and was filled with many many lies and inconsistencies I'm just going to go through a couple of them Trump claimed that millions of dead people were receiving Social Security benefits but there are procedures in place to verify any beneficiary over 100 years old Trump suggested he inherited a bad economy from Biden plagued by high inflation unemployment in reality inflation had decreased significantly since covid-19 pandemic and unemployment rates were below historic Norms when Trump took office Trump also said the US has provided 300 50 billion to Ukraine since Russia's Invasion while Europe has contributed about 100 billion in fact us Aid total approximately 120 billion with European countries contributing collectively about 138 billion so he was wrong on all those numbers Trump said who whoa whoa whoa you know what's wrong with your numbers on the Ukraine yeah it doesn't include any military that's just pure cash that they gave okay nothing about the weapons okay Trump said 21 million people entered the US Elite Al during the previous administration it was actually 10.5 million and Trump said the government was spending $8 million on making mice transgender in reality the money was spent on scientific research to create transgenic mice in uh which are used in things like cancer research and genetic research dad is the government paying for transgender mice I think it did I don't think it will anymore so you do believe that we were literally paying government tax money to some scientist to turn mice transgender yes no dad let me ask you this it's already clarified online that's not what it was yeah it's been clarified by people like you huh dad dad what is a transgender Mouse I'm guessing it's a mouse that they made a man out of and it was a girl or they took a girl mouse or man Mouse made it into a girl made do you think Donald Trump is just stupid he said something that's not real it's transic it has to do with DNA Joe Biden dished out money to any any and all on his last few weeks so that he could just drain our tank that's not real because Joe Biden hates America right should transgender myad be allowed in the military no not even the mous the fact that you think this is real the mouse military either okay so I just want to lay this out for you there are no transgender mice transgendered people will exterminate themselves okay there are no transgender mice this is like for me I know that there's a people will exterminate themselves there's a big disconnect between what you think is real and what we think is real and what is actually real I the left can go crazy the right can go crazy but a big part of why I think it's hard for us to see any common ground is transgender mice is like a part of it you think this is real yeah what it actually is is transgenic mice the exact amount of money that Donald Trump is talking about what oh okay the exact amount of money Donald Trump was talking about was being paid to scientists to use transgenic mice these are mice that they insert new DNA into to use in studies for cancer genetic diseases all kinds of stuff of course all that good stuff you don't think cancer should be researched I don't think that's where it went I think your information is full of [ __ ] he read a report that said transgenic mice and then he was stupid enough to go out there and say transgender mice I read one that said transgender I'm reading one right here a mouse model to test the the effects of gender affirming hormone therapy on HIV vaccine induced uh immune responses 455,000 this is a fact that under the Biden Administration it was D down in millions of dollars for other grants for Reproductive consequences of steroid hormone Administration on mice for gender affirming testosterone therapy on breast uh cancer on mice there was a lot of stuff done with mice and beagles during fouchy error era not error era yes right okay so we're gonna get nowhere with this yeah let me ask you this depends on where you read it you're not going to get anywhere with this because the son of a [ __ ] just doled out money to get rid of it so that Trump would nothing in the bank you don't think cancer research is a a worthwhile reason to not on [ __ ] trans I've literally had cancer yeah oh now don't play the cancer so that so that 400 I'm playing it that $500,000 they donated to some mouse research really saved your deal didn't it it saved my deal I mean I'm sitting here aren't I yeah that to do you know that's not right you're you're just if there were humans that's right you can't you can't just start doing medical trials on human beings you have to you cancer you had cancer in our let's move on to uh another question here years or 100 years we know cancer will never be uh wiped down nice attitude I like that right but it can be that's why you fund research to cure cancer and now and now Donald Trump Administration wants to eliminate that funding 100 years that is that is how's that working out that is untrue I well people used to die of cancer and now they don't so it's working out yeah it's working out Chad and you know took 50 years to where they can partially take care when you were going through your treatments different treatments your different options you asked that one doctor why do you want me to do chemotherapy and you asked him that you found his name in Kickbacks right yes remember all I asked him if he was getting Kickbacks and he pulled up a spreadsheet of all of his Kickbacks and he was not getting kickbacks from the specific drug he prescribed to me but indeed he was from other companies and stuff that's just how the medical system works here okay hello okay uh moving on Ukraine this week Trump placed an indefinite pause on all US military aid to Ukraine affecting over $1 billion doll in arms and ammunition slated for delivery as well as suspending intelligence and satellite imaging to Ukraine in response Putin launched an offensive on Ukraine consisting of dozens of missiles and drones that targeted Ukraine energy facilities Trump defended Putin's aggressive actions stating they were logical responses prompting European leaders to worry that America is deliberately undermining their efforts to counter Russian aggression dad who do you want to win the war in Ukraine the Russians why because they're the closest thing we're going to have to peace against China what I'm sorry are you saying that we should partner with Russia in a war against China we should partner with Russia to keep us from having to fight a war with China there goes another viral video do you think uh that Russia wants to partner with us I think they'd rather be our partner than China's okay M I'm tell you right now Putin does not trust Chi and Chi does not trust Putin so there's no way those two are going to be in cahoots I don't think you're going to have I told you long time ago the Ukraine you might they might as well just roll up the towel and be Russia because okay what would you do if with European support Ukraine wins this war you oh my god European support win a war never okay do you realize do you realize how much uh ammunition and tanks and people they send to the war none all right okay so here now you know who's fighting War right now for the Russians people do you even know that no I don't know russan what it's not Russians okay Taiwan did you do you even know that Taiwan no what what are you talking about the soldiers who are on the ground in the Ukraine or the Soviet Union for Russia yeah do you know where they come from Russia no where or North Korea there are hundreds of thousands of North Koreans fighting in the Ukraine that is true okay I haven't read this but there's a lot of [ __ ] you don't read okay I think neither one of those countries should I think it should be a ceasefire everybody quit right now you're killing way too many people but Putin is not going to do that he wants that land he wants to reabsorb Ukraine into Russia okay Alin Alinsky salinsky is more money salinsky is gonna take his little hand and go over to go over to Europe and get another hundred million dollars to put in his bank account he won't use it to fight the war okay Dad you seem to be gone you're in the tank you're on Putin's side mom can you remember back to the 80s 990s two basically your entire life when America has never been an ally of Russia but instead Russia was the big bad enemy yes I can remember an ally of the United States not in your lifetimes huh not in your lifetimes my grandmother would say World War I Cru uh for a minute and then that kind of changed no not for a minute at okay long time it took 10 or 15 years my question mom is this and by the way I was alive when that happened in the fine since Putin has taken over Russia has not been our Ally can you agree to that I do agree to that yes okay well it depends on what you consider our allly and like last night he was bombing again like killing more and more people it has to stop some way and the only mom my question is for Mom Mom yes who do you want to win this war like I said I just want it to stop um it's not going to though you understand that Putin is not going to just stop and be like oops sorry I think that's what Donald Trump's trying to help them do he's now he's are you out of your mind he's trying to help Putin get that land and he's trying to get for himself for America these mineral rights he's trying to carve up Ukraine so that America takes their minerals and Putin can get the land put it with the thumb because Biden has given and given so much money because that's what you do when you try to help people win a war against Russia why you have to help them and we have the means to do so zinsky doesn't even know where all the money is ask let me ask you Haley who do you think the bad guy is here we are Russia is we are yeah we are the big God yes oh my God we're pieces of [ __ ] he literally cut off uh funding to Ukraine in the middle of a war yeah and then the very next day Putin launch missiles and [ __ ] annihilated people we are the big bad oh my gosh yeah how about our Democrats you guys idea what you're talking how about our Democrats that invited zalinski to a meeting before he got to see uh Trump and JD Vance they invited into a meeting and they persuaded him not to do the mineral deal and not to do a ceasefire our own Democrats that's evil in our country Haley not so why aren't they having a meeting with Putin for a ceasefire why aren't we asking Russia to have a ceasefire I don't know Democrats they're evil now that now that Ukraine has no Army and no weapons the only person he can control on weapon weapons usage is Russia remember I said before you guys don't even you should go book part of the negotiation and read it remember I said did you have no idea how when zalinsky met with Trump in vance to me it felt like uh somebody had forced that somebody had already told him what to do it was the Democrats it wasn't Soros it wasn't Obama it was our own country Democrats told him don't do the deal the mineral deal and Le and that's what he did but do you think that there is any kind of negative con consequence from all of our Global allies basically watching us turn our back on Ukraine while they're still supporting Ukraine so we are now not aligned with any country in Europe they're giving lip service to Ukraine they're not handing over a lot of money yet I don't [ __ ] Europe hasn't done [ __ ] in this world since I've been alive okay they're worthless as tits on a board here we go so Dad do you think that all of Europe should beest destroyed it doesn't matter to me okay I wouldn't care I wouldn't care if Russia took them all do you think it's important for us to have allies in Europe as a country no zero zero zero okay all right let's move on to our third topic Trump's trade War this week Trump went back to his tariff Playbook again imposing a 25% tariff on most let me go back one deal where you said by the way we don't have any allies in Europe now okay if we don't have them later it isn't going to make any difference all right we have to move on due to time constraints this week Trump BR up one thing in his speech when the 13-year-old um JD Daniel guy uh was given the Secret Service award honorary honorary Secret Service and the Democrats couldn't even clap for that a kid that has cancer that's gone through 13 operations come on that's how about this how about this they're defunding cancer research for that very 13year old that they brought into the office done that that is fake news but that's okay what do you mean it's fake news he literally that was whoa whoa whoa whoa did the kid get 13 operations yeah is he still alive well then cancer research is working for him okay let's move on the that were killed by illegals couldn't stand up for that uh the the guy that took the bullet for Trump couldn't stand up for that for his widow that is evil that is mean people right that's what our Democrats are this this is exactly what I was talking about at the beginning of this episode you are fighting with your own children listen dad just listen for a second let me I got one it's one line it's one line the Democrats are worse than any Russian okay you are fighting with us over whether or not Democrats stood up and clapped for a person we don't know at all instead of understanding that there are billionaires the richest people in the world are currently controlling the American government to rob you blind they're talking about taking your [ __ ] Social Security oh really yes yes oh really see they're talking about privatizing everything is that why mine's gotten bigger since you started running your mouth it gets bigger every year dad that's how Social Security works the amount goes up my social security is about to go non-taxable with Trump okay let's please let's move on to this next topic we have to get through these you want to make it you want to try to drag it down into my neighborhood I'm not I'm not dragging anything anywhere I'm trying to make you see that we are fighting with each other about things that don't affect us at all whether the Democrats stood up or sat down or put up their signs or not has no effect on our lives it does me how's that affecting you they're not going to take away Medicare I'm not talking about that I'm talking about Mom specifically said those Democrats could that's that is the same we're moving on we're moving on we're moving on we're moving on we're moving on go this week Trump went back to his tariff Playbook he put a 25% he put a 25% tariff on most imports from Canada and Mexico citing concerns over illegal immigration and drug trafficking is it possible for you to not speak while I read these let him read them is it possible do you have that level of self-control or is it gone well no have that level of self-control but when you continue to lie I can't be said none of these are lies about nothing Li did Trump this week impose a 25% tariff on most imports from K Canada Mexico actually you're wrong he just jacked it up to a 250% well see what the thing is say I haven't read the whole thing yet I tell the facts in the order they happen during the week 20 minutes ago you're not gonna have it as please I I'm begging you please let me read this without you saying anything right and then we'll talk about it that's a discussion that's why this podcast is called the necessary conversation yeah and I don't get to talk you all you do is talk just chill out for literally 45 seconds while I read this oh God I even get to bring up Al Green in the cane incident and they had to escort him out evil I'm sorry we didn't have time so he put this 25% ter on everything uh citing basically fentanyl trafficking across the northern border although the Canadian border only accounts for 0.2% of all fentanyl seas in the United States but then after Americans loudly rebuked the idea of these tariffs including many Business Leaders Trump walked them back with a 30-day postponement despite the postponement Canada launched its own retaliatory tariffs 25% on $3 billion worth of us good targeting items like American orange juice peanut butter and motorcycles and the Liquor Board of onario as well as a bunch of other liquor Boards of all the other provinces yanked American booze Products off their shelf China too was targeted in Trump's ill-advised trade war and responded by saying they are ready to fight quote a tariff War a trade war or any other type of War Trump's indecision about the tariffs led to a predictably volatile stock market that saw the S&P 500 and DOW Jones taking significant losses dad do you think Trump knows what he's doing with these tariffs yes and what do you think he's doing he's gonna bankrupt Canada he's gonna put Mexico in such a [ __ ] hole they're both going to come kissing his ass big time and it's only going to take probably 30 days okay um mom do you think Trump knows what he's doing with these Terr yes he even lessens some of the tariffs on Mexico because she's been helping him with the drug people and the cartel down there so if you work together it it's acceptable and things are going to happen and I do believe he knows what he's doing okay Haley do you think this is something that I think is happening do you think that Trump is purposely tanking the stock market so that all of him and his rich friends can buy cheap stock and make fortunes off of it I never thought about that but it's a good point um like they need to buy more I I I don't know I don't want to give him that much credit I think he's stupid I think he has no idea what he's doing uh I think he still doesn't understand how tariffs work that's why he keeps yeah putting them out there like I don't think he understand how it works I don't think he I looked up I looked up what it would cost you know imposing all these tariffs directly affects me so I get almost I would say more than 50% of the [ __ ] that we get at my bakery comes from either Mexico or Canada well I'm [ __ ] my grocery bills are already like in the thousands uh two or three times a week you know I have to roll that into the cost of my goods and at some point people are just going to tell me to blow it out my ass right so I have no idea what what this means for food service but I think it's real [ __ ] bad they just saw uh I don't know if it was real or not I just saw it in passing like in my feed but it was like a news station um talking about automobiles specifically like some kind of pickup truck it used to be like $80,000 or these tariffs now it's gonna be $100,000 like that's almost the cost of a [ __ ] house in some places you know like we're not people can't afford houses can't afford cars can't [ __ ] afford food we are getting ready to see [ __ ] riots in the streets and heads on Guillotines if this really comes to fruition mom can you explain how tariffs work no I don't know anything why are you doing that don't do you know how it ter Products that come into our country um they have to pay an amount or our products going out and he's gonna who pays the amount yeah 25% Canada but he bumped it up to whatever right but who do you think pays that cars $100,000 car you got Haley ain't G to happen it's also like they're not going to import Z they're going to import hang cars wait let me talk about wait no no no no no no no you're you're completely avoiding the question tffs a long time ago when we all went to kmal do you remember at the airport coming back into you the United States we all just stop you have to declare what you're bringing in if you brought in liquor um something jewelry something you had to pay a tariff on it that's tariffs it's been happening forever so all of a y'all are bringing Trump down what you're what you're misinformed on is tariffs have always been going the other way United States consumers had to pay a tariff to Canada for everything they import we have charged them zero now what we're doing is charging them the same amount 25% for stuff that goes to Canada you you seem to think it's going to bankrupt America whose economy is three four five times bigger than Canada's Canada will go broke they're already on their way and then become a state they will become a 51st state of the United States and the tariffs will go away meantime you have to take a little pain because Canada to be taught a lesson and then it won't take 30 30 to 60 days they're going to be bankrupt so neither of you have answered my question who pays the tariffs the consumer in either country we PA so when we put a 25% tariff on Canadian Goods American companies importing those Goods pay that money that's right and they have been paying that money for the last 50 years Canada has had a 25% tariff on the United States for 50 years yeah we've had zero on Canada now we have a 25% on some Goods some are actually getting higher now and that's going to cost Canada all the free money they've been getting 25% of everything we purchase as free money to keep their operations running they can't afford they can't afford their medical or anything without United States giving them a1200 billion dollars a year in tariff money now that that's going away because they're goingon to have to pay it to us coming the other way and they import a hell of a lot more from us than we do from them they're going to be broke in 30 to 60 days that is the truth about tariffs dude all right dude we'll see I don't know about that brother let me ask you this write it down okay mom do you think it's smart to antagonize and be in a trade war with both of the countries that border us to the North and South one of which in Canada has been our closest Ally for I don't know how long been our Ally I want to say they've never been our Ally and I don't think what do you mean they've never been our Ally any kind of War we've ever been with and Canada participates in we'll send you know a million soldiers and they'll send 3,6 right now because of the Southern border to plummet by another 10% Tesla stock was at an all-time high in December of last year but since Trump has taken office and installed musk as the unelected overseer of the Department of government efficiency Tesla stock has lost roughly 50% of its value Ontario Premier Doug Ford also announced this week that he is permanently cancelling a $100 million contract with musk's starlink company the cancellation was in reaction to Trump's tariffs on Canada but Ford said this week that even if the tariffs are lifted the contract will remain canceled as a result musk's net worth took a hit over the past two months his wealth has decreased by approximately $ 102 billion dollar roughly 24% of his wealth evaporated mom do you think the people of America think musk is doing a good job yes and you think that's reflected in his stock price half what's reflected in his stock price is the fact that America is going to quit buying and El this there are protests at all of his Tesla factories they're like setting up [ __ ] pictures of him doing the SE his whatever his stock is tanking because nobody wants his [ __ ] cars anymore that's because electric and electric cars will never make it on the market people are literally making videos all over Tik Tok sending them back like getting rid of their Teslas nobody wants that [ __ ] I don't think electric cars are the way of the future either so that that he made that doesn't mean they hate him yes it does hang on a minute of our country squealing like pigs is what's they are the way of the future they are no no they're yes yes they are he is trimming the F in 2024 US Electric Vehicle sales reached 1.3 million a 7.3% increase from 2023 with EV market share hitting 8.7% in Q4 EV sales are growing and some analysts predict it will continue to do so over the next 10 years I don't see it was a record in with the 1.3 million sales that was a record in 2024 everything I'm reading says it's going up it's going up what's that now go look at on uh Trump versus the VA this week Trump announced plans to fire 70 to 80,000 employees at the department Veterans Affairs uh coming up this August the VA employs about 470,000 people and this cut would represent a downsize a of about 177% many critics of the plan think that this will lead to an even longer wait time for veterans seeking Health Care at the VA and some believe this could be part of a larger strategy by Trump and musk to make government services and departments so ineffective that a strategy to privatize them will be approved allowing the billionaires who paid Trump to swoop in and own all of these different uh government agencies so far musk and Trump have fired 5200 workers at the Department of Health and Human Services 6,000 employees at the IRS 2,300 people from the dep Department of the Interior 3,400 employees from the Department of Agriculture 300 FAA employees 388 EPA employees 160 employees of the Department of Education with plans to fire 7,000 people from the Department of Social Security in the coming months Dad you're a veteran do you think the government should be spending less money to take care of our veteran an yes and there's already a law in place there's already a what a law states when Trump R states stff that he had before Biden got in there and started with his executive orders if you're a veteran and you can't get treatment at a Veteran's Hospital you can go to a private organization and they have to take care of you and the government pays for and that's what's coming down the road so you don't need all those deadbeat [ __ ] at the ba he sat on their thumb all day long doing that [ __ ] for the veterans because the veterans can now take their problem down the street and get it done by a private hospital do you believe and so you need you need to cut the fat at the VA okay so you're for it I'm all for how many employees should the VA have do you think I don't know how many VA hospitals there are but we don't need like how many we don't need as many as we have we probably need about half of them and do you think that all these people they're firing is going to help or hurt unemployment rates and the economy well that's not enough to hurt unemployment okay I mean 20 30,000 people he just rattled off like three 400 people in like 20 different department that's fine that's it's probably about 15,000 so far I'll be honest in the past you realize every every week am I well hang on every week's unemp employment numbers like 200,000 150,000 so 6,000 people over a period of a month or two is going to mean [ __ ] but these people are in many cases career federal employees that's what they know they know those systems those are the skill sets they have what jobs are they supposed to get now their career people at the Veterans Administration they're not all veterans what about like all the all the park rangers and [ __ ] that they're firing what do you think about that don't need them I know and so what are they supposed to do get a job get a job at what a private park what are you talking about well change career okay sure just that easy articles I've read in the VA hospitals in the past I'm saying like what 10 to 15 years ago that they were not the best facilities like not the best quality of uh care for veterans so so why was that in the past that way a lot of people coming back from Vietnam and stuff didn't get the good care they needed so why not trim it and make it better for everyone that's because our American Health Care system is [ __ ] busted and dusted and they need to give us Universal Health Care whose is better name a [ __ ] developed country Canada better you have for operations and stuff no you're wrong about all the that I know that that's the the thing that has been sold to you but that's not how it works all right you just walk into a doctor and you get whatever treatment you need if it's some kind of surgery or whatever maybe you got to be on a little bit of a weight but if it's life-threatening you get the surgery your ideas of how it works are wrong we have the worst health care of any developed country in the whole world and we have more money than all of them mom let me ask you this you were a teacher for your entire career do you think we should be ing that many people at the Department of Education I think it needs to be changed something is not right for sure the funds I think should go back to the States the stat should control the education not the federal you know the people way in DC I think the state government needs to control why you know if you have a choice too to go to different schools for your child why wouldn't you want that to go to a magnet school or a art school or a math school why would you not want a voucher that's not what they're offering child in that direction that they want to go that's not what they're offering they're offering a voucher to a private school to a private school so the parents will have to pay that money no that the state is going to start paying for that not no they're not they're going to offer you a $10,000 voucher your tuition per semester is $20,000 so let's say you have two kids you are going to have to Fork over 20 grand every semester just for your kid to go to [ __ ] private school I didn't understand it that way I don't understand that is how it's working and you can see the the the plan here is to make the federal agencies so understaffed and broken they can't work then they privatize it uh Linda McMahon is going to open her own company once the Department of Education collapses she's going to have a company waiting in the wings we are now the United States education board or whatever it's going to be and all of those private schools will have to pay her money so she's just sucking money through taxpayers but not even through taxes you're gonna have to literally pay these schools to send your kids to them and then that money's gonna this is this is what you are assuming is going to happen you don't know that's the I'll tell what's Happ you if you don't I'll tell you what's happening right now in Texas let me tell you so it's all the way up to college level at this point Greg Abbott has introduced a bill to regulate what universities in Texas can now teach students so curriculum is being censored so I almost minored in women's studies at Kate that will never be a thing at any of these universities in Texas ever again they're trying to eliminate everything that has to do with any kind of free thought and they want to bring God back into schools so they have they're implementing uh the the Commandments in [ __ ] public school here these these are things that are starting to be implemented Texas is like the guinea pig we get all the [ __ ] all at once and it's all starting to happen right now you can't get abortions here you're learn about Jesus in school here the voucher system is is being implemented all these things are happening right now in Texas and that is gonna be Fally that is gonna be a federal level at some point we had kids I don't believe that if let's say your family makes 30,000 a year that they're handing you a voucher to say here you have to pay 10,000 yes they are not gonna happen that is like gonna be based on income it has to be it's you're wrong it's not based on income oh yes okay hang on shutting down public schools here you guys know that your Elementary School got shut down but that had to do with population guess what they're doing it in every other [ __ ] suburb where people are moving in droves from the coasts so explain that higher populations equal more children why are we shutting down all these schools there's no funding enrollment numbers a lot more children now too do stay at home for online schooling for online online schools you know okay let me ask one more question to you Dad do you think any of these people that Trump is laying off voted for Trump sure they did yes yeah and do you think they're getting what they voted for yes they're getting what they voted for but they were too stupid to know what it was making do these people who are getting fired that in your mind deserve to be fired yes because they're stupid because they have leached off of me for 50 years and I'm sick of it but they helped Trump win fine good for them and so the first thing that happens in increased it by huge good numbers there let's move on to our final topic Trump loses at the Supreme Court this week the Supreme Court rejected Trump's attempt to freeze almost $2 billion in foreign aid funds and a five to four vote the Supreme Court upheld a lower courts ruling that mandated the dispersement of the funds emphasizing the executive branches Branch's obligation to adhere to Congressional Appropriations Chief Justice John Roberts and Trump appointed Justice Amy Coney Barrett join the three liberal justices in the majority dad is Amy Coney Barrett a Dei hire no what no what no she was elected no no that's not right that's not what happens with Supreme Court Justices yeah Donald TR he's a woman you're throwing that out there I'm not throwing it out there magga is saying this well she's not who is saying that and A2 billion Bill uhuh does matang she voted for it there is massive there's massive right-wing backlash against her because she went against Trump and a lot of magga people are saying she was at Dei hire don't agree with all our people all the time you do what I do what who are my people what who are my people you got that crazy black woman that
