America is deeply divided there are only two sides to every issue and there is no interest in finding common ground not even with members of your own family but as the 2024 presidential election Looms on the horizon there has never been a more important time to have the necessary conversation welcome to the necessary conversation I'm Chad culture with me is my sister Haley Pope we are left leaning liberals and we are having conversations for one hour every week with my mom and dad Bob and Mary Lou Who are deep Q Anon Red State Maga Trump supporters mark uh we were gone for two weeks my sister was on vacation I had a live show for another podcast I do called doozy but we are back today to cover the four most important political topics going on in our country but before we get to that Dad on January 29th of this year you said a nuclear weapon was going to be used in Ukraine within 30 to 40 days we are 120 days past that prediction no nuclear weapon is the prediction wrong has it failed yeah it is wrong they they have they now have nuclear weapons in Belarus they're going to be used on the Ukraine do you want to imagine how long will it take to use these nuclear weapons it's going to happen any day Chad you're freezing up is that okay uh you're freezing up that's your internet no your frame is freezing up but that's because of your internet Bailey you can see me fine this is it the show okay let me restart the question I have a question Mary Lou and Bob said repeatedly that in that and I take issue with in that statement primarily that people with mental illness are much more likely to be the victims of violent crime than the perpetrators of violent crime but I'm taking them at their word that that's actually what they want and I wanted to know how they feel about the fact that Republicans routinely vote against expanded Mental Health Services in September there's an act called the mental health matters act which provides grants for schools to hire more mental health experts and grow Mental Health Services and it also provides mental health protections for adults with Private health insurance and that that bill did pass but 205 Republicans voted against it and only one Republican voted in favor um so how do they feel about that there's your question Mom and Dad how do you feel about that why the uh The Crazies uh we're not voting for the mental health stuff is that it no it's that you and Mom Mom more specifically than you uh constantly when we talk about gun reform in this country you say it's a mental health issue yet the party you vote for and the the party you align with always votes against mental health uh more funding and programs it's because it's a small part of society okay but you don't need to take care hey here's what's wrong with all your fools out there like this woman that doesn't know her ass from a hole in the ground she's sitting here going like well we gotta have gun reform we gotta have gun reform gun reform will never solve anything the gun reform you're going to find is the people who have the guns are going to keep the guns and if you try to take them away you're gonna get the Imp bat into the gun okay and that day that day is already here you woke sons of [ __ ] are about to get a lesson in what America is really all about here's how much here's how much conservative Texas cares about mental health they don't give a [ __ ] about milk they are proposing a bill uh where public schools now do not have to have certified counselors but can be replaced by [ __ ] pastors and religious figureheads well there going to kill us okay it's all gonna happen well I mean I hope that that was it's some way an answer to this question I don't feel that it was the answer to the question is your mother thinks it's mental illness I think it's retardation because we don't have enough guns and it when you got some jackass floating around shooting people you kill them all right let's move on to our first Freedom yeah shoot them all right let's uh move on to our first topic we are talking about Ron DeSantis he has announced his run for president after half an hour after we'll we'll get to that Dad very interesting after half an hour of Technical and aptitude at Twitter under the watch of Elon Musk Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is finally able to announce that he is entering the 2024 presidential field last Wednesday in his opening address to listeners the Sanders painted a dark picture of a country he said is going in the wrong direction under Biden urged Republicans to get behind him to Santa's got a decisive Boost from Trump during the 2018 primary did not he did not directly criticize Trump except for an implied jab that has become a staple of his pre-campaign rhetoric when he said in quotes there is no substitute for for victory we must end the culture of losing that has infected the Republican party in recent years of course there is uh alluding to Trump's loss in an effort to win support from the more racist elements of the Republican party to Santa criticize the NAACP as what he called a left-wing outfit and he explained away book band accusations in Florida as in quotes curation that is not consistent with state standards then in his first post announcement televised interview he told Fox News he would fire FBI director Christopher Ray on the first day of his administration he went on to say in quote I think the doj and FBI have lost their way I think they've been weaponized against Americans who think like me and you and I think they have become very partisan reaction from the Trump Camp started with Caroline Lovett a spokeswoman for make America great again Inc Trump Super PAC who said Ron desantis's botched campaign announcement is another example of why he is just not ready for the job the stakes are too high and the fight to save America is too critical to gamble on a first-timer who is clearly not ready for Prime Time Trump himself on his truth social site initially restricted himself to a comment on desantis's appearance in a campaign launch video saying simply his caller is too big later Trump offered an unkind review of the occasion saying and quote wow the Des sanctimonious Twitter launch is a disaster his whole campaign will be a disaster watch so that's where we are with it Dad you have predicted many times on this very show that DeSantis was not going to run for president can you now admit that that prediction was wrong yes he's running okay we are making [ __ ] progress that's fantastic that's the best thing that could happen for the Republican party why do you think that why because the Democrats are going to have to put some kind of defense against DeSantis now and he has no chance of winning he's not even ahead in Florida his own home State against what do you mean they're going to have to have a defense against DeSantis in what way they're going to have to spend some of their millions of dollars uh running ads against Ron DeSantis are they yeah oh yes they are and for a reason like like right they're [ __ ] dumb enough to think he can win now here's why DeSantis is running he wants to be nationally known he now has millions of dollars it's like 200. anybody is well spended and every dollar he spends against Trump is something the Democrats are going to have to spend against him I swear that I don't agree with that well I don't give a [ __ ] whether you agree with it or not it's going to happen my prediction was that he would be Trump's running mate I remember Trump needs to quit the insults to him for starters I still think it's going to happen I really do I think in the end it's gonna happen that he might be the VP nomination but and sure we got to get rid of the pygmy at the White House okay that's nothing to do with that I agree with what you're saying mom I think if descentesis winds up in this presidential race kind of or in at least in the the primary race to get the nomination of the Republican party if DeSantis winds up being kind of the closest competition to trump it does make a lot of sense that Trump would absorb him into that ticket so then you get everybody even now the people who who didn't want to vote for Trump and they wanted to vote for DeSantis he at least is in there um Haley do you think DeSantis has a chance against Trump do you think he can pull this out at all so I mean I'm more afraid of DeSantis than I am Trump so I want to say I don't think so I don't think so I think that Donald Trump is still like the front runner there's like Mom and Dad would [ __ ] live and die for Trump I think there's a lot of people like that and DeSantis is so [ __ ] off his rocker right now like Florida's a [ __ ] mess everyone is watching this there's no [ __ ] way there's no way everybody's moving there I was in the I was in the grocery store and this uh guy was putting he was stacking up uh Coke bottles and stuff and another little stalker next to him said this was a woman and said I'm going to take my kids uh this summer we're going to go to Florida go see Disney oh you don't want to go there oh you don't want to go there yeah it's a [ __ ] nightmare yeah they said it's an absolute [ __ ] nightmare like name a demographic nobody wants to [ __ ] live there anymore but everybody's moving there I think um everybody's biggest problem the things that people really hang over his head is the state he's currently running it is not in good shape the weird fight that he's getting into with Disney Disney very strange Disney is a beloved brand across the country across the world I don't think you want to start that not for long what's that not for long okay Disney yeah Disney's done what in what ways Disney's she woke they're gonna go they're too woke gives you that impression what's that something woke that they've done everything can you say one of those things yeah gay day at Disney World gay day at Disney World I'm not yeah I don't know about this but I guess well they had it okay and so that's the reason that Disney is done right we're gonna put stop to their ass we won't do anything Disney anymore ever that's Star they're gonna continue to make money lots of it no in fact The Little Mermaid just put out numbers and it's like leading the box office everybody loves it 15 million dollars this weekend and did you see that Target Tree store I'm speaking three stores this morning in Ohio uh there were two other stores in two different states bomb threats to Target for their wokeness hello no wait but yeah the target thing let's get into this target thing the target thing is what they had a line of kids clothes that were there are a couple issues at hand so they've had Pride [ __ ] like year in like every [ __ ] year for pride month they run Pride products it's never been a problem so this year they started running prad products but specifically trans Pride products in the children's management that is inaccurate they have been putting out go ahead they have been putting out adult swimming suits that provide uh they say on the tag of something about tuck protection and like binding in the tops these are adult swimsuits they are not for children that is a [ __ ] lie no it's not it is 100 you can go to the Target website and look for yourself people are spreading this information Fox is running with it it's it's inaccurate okay but on the onesies there was Pride stuff on the onesies correct onesies that literally who cares though so much about that like you don't have to buy it you just lied and people who don't like this [ __ ] don't have to buy it for their kids it's just a product in a store and we won't buy any [ __ ] thing else from that [ __ ] store uh here's here's the people that don't like it target has lost 10 billion dollars yeah and Market uh valuation over the last 10 days as the popular retailer continues to face backlash over his fried famed clothing line for children now to me that the The Pride line if you want to do so what if Janice and Simone had a kid and and that kid wanted to wear a shirt that said Pride on it with rainbows does that piss you off that your gay cousin wants a child to wear a t-shirt with a rainbow on it no she can have that they can wear that but you're not going to stick it in my face the minute I walk into the store at Target what in your face transgendered not homosexual there's a big difference um a week ago Wednesday Target don't look at me enjoy it is a huge difference it's stock value at 160.96 a share but following the calls to boy caught the merchandise based that the real retailer had put out over its Pride collection the value plummeted and closed on Friday at 138.93 a share yeah and the same thing happened to to the company that makes Bud Light and they had to put out a new commercial that was like pro-america and they apologize for having well it's it's not it's half the country or whatever roughly half the country 40 whatever percent of the country and it's 90. yes I mean that's true they they clearly didn't know Their audience with the Bud Light thing but the the idea that we're talking about here gets to something um I think that is really um it's not it has nothing to do with that that's right I are against transgender little fine fine Target is promoting that so no they're not here's literally what it is these are pieces of clothing this is a product that simply has a logo or a message on it that you don't like it is simply a product you don't want that's right and you are now so entitled that you think this store should not even be allowed to carry this product yes have you ever felt that way about any other product in your life if they want our money and they're not getting my money okay you know why you guys are getting upset you're a little welcome we're getting upset yeah you're a little woke agenda is backfiring on you because a Middle America has had enough of your [ __ ] I think it's just I think people are disappointed and upset because once Trump was elected um homophobics came out in droves because they thought now I'm allowed to do this out in the open and we are seeing you for who you are now and that is really upsetting and disappointing because there are gay people trans people the lgbtq plus Community is quite large alphabets we are not against homosexual we are again we are against transgendering children minors Nobody Does that oh my God they just shut down hospitals Haley that have been doing operations on children under the age of 16. we don't agree are you against children are you against minors getting slaughtered by AR-15s in schools Chad quit being like that what do you mean why aren't you mad about guns you're mad about um targets and that's really bad about like a drag queen coming in and doing like reading books to kids in schools you don't want that to happen but you're totally okay leaving gun laws as they are so that people can March into schools no I'm not no I'm not but I paid a paid secure in the front of that school lock the school down all the [ __ ] way around it I've told you this several times I know we've talked about that I don't think man if they come in they're gonna get blown away they will get blown away how do you know that this person has a gun what if they're hiding it well if the school is locked down there's big [ __ ] sign that says you cannot enter let me give you a little education okay when I was in the U.S military we had B-52 bombers ready to take off from our base and bomb Russia they were kept in a combined area with 50 caliber machine guns all the way around even military personnel had a warning sign if you cross this red line you will fly yeah you're dead we will kill you none of this [ __ ] matters anything with the school how many people you know how many people died for crossing that red line in a hundred years none you're talking about the U.S military versus a [ __ ] grade school I'm saying put a military man put a military man there with a gun put up the sign and if you come in what does the sign dad what does the sign say like you can put a red line around the school once it's locked at a certain time so here's the thing so what about like columns well let me finish there'll be a guy inside this school that's gonna put a bullet in your [ __ ] head okay if you cross a a line that's on the ground just get into the school without this guy killing after they're there you lost okay what if a student walks in with a gun well then he's going to get popped why would they walk he's going to kill that guy no why would they walk in with a gun ask the two students that did it at Columbine okay you're not even listening okay you stupid ass you crossed the red line you didn't get into the school you're dumped right outside of it what do you mean they're gonna show them quit yelling they're gonna shoot the student who's coming in late and crosses the red line so now if you just [ __ ] murdered you're done yeah you're gonna show up on time well then what you better do is stop the thread [ __ ] line and get permission to come in okay because if you don't you're gonna get one between the [ __ ] eye well I'm just gonna say this uh there's schools in our area where well your area you have to stand at the front door with a camera and show your ID before you can come in but in the state of Texas I can carry a [ __ ] weapon so I could get into that school regardless with a [ __ ] weapon no yes no yeah you can carry weapons here speaking of Texas that's going to change speaking of Texas let's get to our next subject the Texas State Attorney General has been impeached in a historic vote last Saturday the Republican LED Texas House of Representatives decided to impeach Republican state attorney general Ken Paxton over allegations of illegal activities related to one of his political donors the resolution to impeachment which will be tasked with setting up a trial and deciding whether to convict the Attorney General Paxton joins a small list of Texas public officials who have been impeached the last happened in 1976 he has denied any allegations of wrongdoing following the proceedings of sham and illegal he's also continued to claim the impeachment vote prevents him from protecting Texans from the federal government minutes before the Texas house started the impeachment procedures on Saturday Donald Trump posted on social media that Paxton is a friend of his and that he would in quotes fight Republicans who allow the impeachment to proceed during Saturday's vote lawmakers listen closely as members of the house uh General investigating committee laid out the 20 articles of impeachment against Paxton although some are related to Paxton's 2015 Securities fraud Federal indictment for which he has yet to stand trial most of the allegations are related to Paxton's relationship with Nate Paul an Austin real estate investor who contributed 25 thousand dollars to Pakistan's 2018 campaign and was himself being investigated by the FBI in 2020 when he asked Paxton to intervene in that probe Paxton is a vocal enemy of the lgbtq plus Community attempting to investigate parents of trans kids in Texas for child abuse and attempting to create a trans citizens database by requesting a list from the DMV of every Texas citizen who changed their gender within the last two years Haley you live in Texas you're the only person here on this podcast who does do you believe the Texas state senate will impeach him you think he's out I think he's out yeah and how are the people in Texas reacting to this this news cheers um I know a woman personally she and her husband have a trans son who is 15. and they've sent CPS to their house multiple times like she's you know she's huge on the internet she's been on all kinds of news outlets uh Beto like came to her house and [ __ ] and she's been posting about it and like for the first time in like five six years I actually slept through the night not thinking that somebody was going to break in and [ __ ] steal our kids and throw us in jail so uh I mean I think a lot of people are cheering for this I think it's gonna happen I certainly hope it's gonna happen uh trans people right now in Texas are like under attack specifically children but trans people just in general um like this whole if if you've changed your gender marker on your driver's license [ __ ] that's terrifying that's terrifying what are you gonna do with that why aren't you proud of it he's keeping a [ __ ] database of all trans people in Texas any FBI is not doing that on conservatives huh what um okay so I mean one of my questions was going to be do you think it's wrong to collect a database of people based on their gender identity dad I guess your answer is not at all not at all most terrifying I don't know do you think it was wrong to put to make Jewish people [ __ ] wear markers as the Holocaust was presenting itself do you think that that was wrong to identify people by their [ __ ] gender their markers their religions so now people who are doing it here are Nazis is that what you're saying I believe that this is terrible yes yeah okay can't believe mom what do you think I'm curious I on the like on the TV that I watched it said something about that guy being impeached is all flawed like there's a bunch of flaws in it yeah 90 of the stuff yeah nine percent of stuff they're trying to impeaching for is past the statute of limitations anyway okay let's we're not talking about that we're talking about mom do you think it's wrong to collect a database of people based on their jobs not going anywhere Haley get ready you know what it is wrong but they're doing it they're doing it on all different databases on people on all kinds of things where you buy things in the grocery store what you buy uh where you're spending your money yeah do you do you understand that how dangerous that is for the trans community no we live we live our answer is most of us that believe America first got to stand up put a stop to the doj and the FBI so if you transgender people want to take control you got to have more than one percent of the [ __ ] population to change the rules and the way it's going to go and until then your [ __ ] is in the wind it's not just the Republican side doing this Haley it's all kinds of sides um you guys are just now starting to experience some of the pushback that let me tell you what the pushback you're going to get on all this transgender [ __ ] is about one percent of what you're actually going to see before it's over yeah it's that's nothing scary what's going to come like what do you mean uh China is buying land all around us you're not going to give a [ __ ] about ABCDEFG in about a year China is that'll be the last thing on your [ __ ] China is buying land all around us in Oklahoma they're buying land all around in Houston area they have now been banned in Florida to buy any more land because that's what he said if you're not if you're not an American citizen if you're Chinese National you can own no longer own land in in the Houston area China will take our country over there and I might be dead by the time they're physically feet are in this country with a gun to your door and taking you over dad and I might be dead you guys will not be but you're gonna see it you will see it I promise why do you think that like Chinese what soldiers are going to come to our gun and do what absolutely what are they going to do this will be their country not only they're gonna put it to your head and say you're either going to prison or you're dead right now that's what they're going to do why would they do that because they want everything here and they want to kill America they're taking so that they will be the number one power in the world and Russia is going to help them there's a book count and I didn't get the title you guys are so far behind the curve they don't even know where there's a book down and I'll have to find the title and bring it yeah you're sitting here in your little woke world with your robotic [ __ ] the only robots we're gonna have are you are you and Haley as you're marched off to the [ __ ] prisoner of work now I think it was by 2053 um the United States will be all Chinese China it's Chinese it will not be United they will own it just like the Japanese were buying up American land back in the 60s and the United States finally put a stop to it but you think it's already on they already own yeah they had already bought up in this idea that you're presenting his goal is to execute every American citizen and move into our houses or what yes yes take over our country and you know why they can't feed the population they have now right and and here's the problem that they have the United States is the only one who can stand up to him and they're systematically from within tearing that uh ability to prevent that and and defend ourselves they're getting rid of it daily and what's going to end up happening is you guys would think oh there's no way that the U.S can stop well our our little military is nothing but a [ __ ] pimple on an elephant's house now thank you and it's going to be worse it's still bigger than the next 10 countries under it combined including doesn't matter it doesn't matter okay they're going to take it over from within they're already started it's not this story that I'm telling you is not something that I'm going to forecast a year from now they're doing it and have been doing it for the last four years they actually started doing it when Barack [ __ ] [ __ ] Obama became president because that is still the jackass running the show I know okay let's let's move on we've gotten a little bit heated up about these first two topics let's simmer down a little bit last week uh legendary performer actress singer it is Mel Gibson I know he's a problematic figure at this point [Music] who runs Border Town yeah I don't know if it's because he's Catholic I think it may have to do with some other things but let's move on our third topic today is the debt deal Biden's White House is scrambling to secure some kind of deal with the House Republicans to raise the debt limit by June 5th or send the country and perhaps the entire world into an economic catastrophe lawmakers have made changes to the debt limit more than a hundred times since World War II this year Republicans have about have vowed to uh increase the debt ceiling so long as it suggested spending cuts are enacted President Joe Biden however wants to see an increase in the debt ceiling separate from any budgetary changes if no congressional action is taken and the government reaches its debt ceiling it will have to default on its Financial Obligations something that has never happened in America this would mean the government won't be able to pay salaries for federal employees uh veterans benefits and also won't be able to fund Social Security affecting some 66 million Americans though the future of Social Security is already under question as projections foresee that the funds reserves will run out by 2033. as of Saturday a tentative deal has supposedly been struck by Biden and the Republicans but some lawmakers like Senator uh Chris Murphy Democrat from Connecticut are worried that there won't be enough votes to get the bill through Congress there is in quotes a whole big swath of the Republican Party who Murphy said he believes actually wants to see the U.S default on uh the debt the agreement announced Saturday is not yet a sure thing all right any bill will have to be passed by both chambers of Congress before heading back to Biden's desk and to prevent default it all has to happen again before June 5th when the government is expected to to no longer be able to pay its debts first of all we're going to get to your feelings on whether or not we should increase the debt ceiling uh or default on these loans but I want to go around real quick and just get do you think this bill will pass Haley yes what gives you that that uh feeling I don't know optimism it has they've got to get together it has to pass feeling optimistic today A lot of people are going to be very very sad with no man I agree dad it will pass it will pass because they will not they will pay the Vets they will pay social security yes and whenever by whatever Biden's got to bend over and eat which pile of [ __ ] to get that done he will do I agree with this now let's get to this other question because Dad you've already kind of hinted at your answer but do you want to see the US default on its debts Haley I assume no Mom I don't know Dad no okay Mom you don't want to dads you do want the United States to default on its debts why why why wouldn't that just open the [ __ ] door wide open for China to come in because it's it's gonna double my net worth interest rates are going to go to the moon and I'm setting on a pile of cash oh that's nice so this is just personal what about America First what about saving our country America First it will so this is Bob first yes that means our country will be [ __ ] over Financial but you'll be doing good now it's a very selfish thing to say from somebody who wants to save America that's here that's here and correct you don't know anything about finances a hundred percent I know how it works okay you default on the debt your jacket right to the Moon Joe Biden gets his [ __ ] ass either shot or pushed down the steps that's true and then the ball starts rolling the other way they will kill him he will be done like a [ __ ] pancake he has to pass this or they'll kill him somebody and five minutes later oh uh camel face Harris gets one right between the [ __ ] eye right but if we do this this unprecedented thing that has never happened in the the history on our [ __ ] debt to other countries right our credit is zero we get money from other countries we are completely [ __ ] and it also sends the global economy into free fall a lot of the other who's the other of our debt China China China so doesn't that then I want them to get the finger on their desk wouldn't that incentivize them there's a big finger okay so we're gonna default on the Chinese debt doesn't that then incentivize them to take Boulder action maybe send the troops that you're so scared of well they're already here they're already taking bowler update a man accused of shooting and killing a woman who was a passenger in a car that mistakenly drove up into his driveway in rural New York last month has been indicted on a murder charge Kevin Monahan 65 has been charged with murder in the second degree reckless endangerment and tampering with physical evidence according to the indictment Monahan was arraigned last Wednesday and pleaded not guilty to the charges Monahan is accused of shooting at a vehicle full of passengers including 20 year old Kalyn Gillis who he killed when they accidentally turned into his driveway while looking for a friend's house last month in Washington County roughly 55 miles north of Albany New York so uh my question is this is this a murder mom [Music] identity he did Kill but they came into his driveway I don't know I don't know Murder I don't hey what you think it's murdered dad is it murder he went to the bathroom [Music] he [ __ ] shot at a goddamn car full of kids uh doing nothing they were up in his driveway so so well you know what here in our neighborhood once there was this thing you know where you knock and run and they were doing it all over the neighborhood knocking at doors running and they were kids in the summer and someone on our HOA said I have them on tape you know on a video they were hiding underneath the truck and he's and the man said I came out and had my gun loaded so see even though it's fun and games even though they came into a wrong driveway I don't know it's it it was an accident they were on personal property it was and that was not it was not an accident an accident this man loaded his gun and started firing multiple rounds into a [ __ ] car just sitting right did he he was defending his personal property it is not murdered and if you and if you want to pull into somewhere and figure out where you're at do it in a [ __ ] Street you don't have to pull up in my [ __ ] driveway so you leave this guy's Justified car a lot of those [ __ ] pulls up in my
