America is deeply divided there are only two sides to every issue and there is no interest in finding common ground not even with members of your own family but as the 2024 presidential election Looms on the horizon there has never been a more important time to have the necessary conversation welcome to the necessary conversation I'm Chad CCH this is my sister Haley Pope and my parents Bob and Mary L culton we are of course politically divided as a family but we've only got what four four or five weeks four yeah I think so four weeks until the election of our lifetime the most important election in American history that's what we've been told about every election thus far it can't always be true we've got some big stuff to talk about this week Haley you've gone viral for some political activist activity that you're doing we're going to talk about that we're going to talk about who won the vice presidential debate last week we're going to talk about milania Trump pro-choice we're going to talk about Trump's Butler rally he returned to the scene of the crime before we get to any of that we do have a question from a listener are you ready hello yes yes are you alive I'm trying the lifetime of the podcast Mary Lou and Bob have talked about how uh the Biden Administration will reimburse you if you need to have abortion care out of state something that is not and has never been an actual policy of theirs it was briefly tossed around as an idea uh after the passage of Dos and when row fell but and never came to fruition um so I would just love for you guys to discuss how it would work since the Democrats of Mary Le and Bob's imagination are a little more potent than the Democrats we actually have I'd love to know what's the procedure to get reimbursed for an abortion do you submit your receipts to the desk of Joe Biden to your local Precinct is there a shared fund that we're working on how would it work thanks Hi family there you have it Mom and Dad you have claimed many times on this very program that if you want to get an abortion and your state doesn't not allow it Joe Biden will pay for you to fly to another state get that abortion how does it work I've have no idea that was what we were told from the very get-go I'll have to Google it here and see where we would go who told you that in the very beginning right but who was it that told you that that our government would it was where did we read it it was our government that said go to the next state that does DHS okay so what is the the process by which you can be comp I I think you have to go to DHS and uh say you need an abortion your state doesn't cover it and they will pick up the tab all right I'm looking it up right now I'm looking it up too me too I I did a bunch of uh research on this and what the caller is saying is true from everything I could find there is no policy that allows this does have to be a policy it's just it's a one of his uh ink writings uhhuh one of his ink writings yeah he just you know what do you call those things ink writings there is nothing he just he just writes he just writes it in it in a law okay well then if it's not a law it's not real I'm on the Department of Homeland Security website right now there is nothing about abortions there is nothing about Mom's getting it okay so you're still under the impression that our government will pay for you to fly out of state or travel out of state and get an out of state abortion if your state won't allow it yes okay and there's nothing that can convince you otherwise no even not being able to find the very thing you're claiming exist it's happened there's people that have already had it happen there are private funds that aim to help people do this if they need to travel out of state but it has nothing to do with our government it they're still paid for okay not by go no no right here's a search you can put in where do you live how many weeks you are what type of abortion do you need where would you like to go Planned Parenthood will set you up where to go oh plann Parenthood membership that's part of the government plan Parenthood will fly you there it just says they would help something and then it gives a state with all the places you can go yeah they're telling you where you can get an abortion that's called the internet you know what we talked about this earlier we were never going to talk about abortions again because it's a Hot Topic I hate it and it makes me and your dad crazy it makes everyone crazy well so there you go you start the show with a question like that I didn't look abortion is one of the major issues in this election here's the bottom here's the bottom line if you want an abortion in another state you will not have to pay for it okay well the what the caller is claiming is that you are wrong well the color needs to show us that instead of just throw it out like that and say plan Parenthood is part of the government okay well there you have had multiple calls with the governors of some of the hardest hit States the day that the hurricane happened fact check it okay yesterday on no no it was on Wednesday um May orcus stated to the reporters that fima does not have the funds to see Americans through the rest of the hurricane season okay I fact check that that is true all right if we have another hurricane he said we cannot help where should we take money from to pay for it well we should have never given it to Ukraine that's for the goddamn sure and we should have never given it to all the illegals all right okay one day ago now the 1 happened what how many days ago how many days about a week yeah a week Paris posted yesterday on X and blinkin was on Instagram today or two days ago they both announced we're we are giving 157 million to assist Lebanon okay we have already given them 380 and and that with that amount the 157 added to what we've already given them and we've given them 386 million okay what are we giving the hurricane victims right now they have to apply for it it's a slap in the face and they get 750 per f to start there are supposed to be more funds but blink and is saying it's not there right or my orcus it's not there well I mean Trump made a bunch of false claims I I read about this he claimed that Harris spent all her FEMA money on housing illegal migrants that is completely false they used some of it they used some of that fund uh I don't think so there is this is what I've read there's zero basis for Trump's suggestion that the Biden Administration is running some sort of scheme to get undocumented immigrants to vote illegally blah blah blah there is zero basis for claiming that FEMA disaster assistance money was stolen by anyone let alone her is personally for the housing of migrants trump also falsely claimed 1 billion was stolen from FEMA for migrants and has gone missing there is absolutely no evidence of this uh on any front these are all things that he's been saying in his his rallies this past week okay he said that there were no helicopters no rescue in North Carolina this is false you just kept lying and lying and lying so then you don't uh believe our what is my orcus that he stated to reporters that FEA does not have the funds to give the money if we have another hurricane hit I don't know I don't know about that but I mean where here's here's kind of where the rubber is meeting the road with all these hurricanes and stuff it is global warming that is causing there's another one that's hitting Florida right now category three tropical what if my orcus stated the truth they're going to get nothing so I would run right now and never go back you would leave your home and and that would be it well if it goes down you're not going to get any money from our government okay they want to give it away to foreign countries and illegals Biden was asked by a reporter yesterday a reporter asked him this what do the states in the storm Zone need after what you saw today because he and Harris went down there supposedly Biden said oh storm Zone question mark I didn't know which storm you were asking about oh yeah then he goes sorry they have everything they need and they are very happy across the board a lady on the first link on YouTube that showed those exact words out of Biden's mouth the first person said I live in North Carolina and no we don't have everything we need after the billions that you have spent on Ukraine and illegals a $750 a slap in the face and I am an American well you get $42,500 if you qualify to have your your home rebuilt or need to do repairs on it the $750 is just an immediate response so that you can have enough money to get like food and water if you need it okay that's still not as much as they give to illegals if you go to New York a family of four um you get assistance for eight months you get it's close to like 18 19,000 a year for eight years free money free medical ma service let me also at her Hive Bakery in Flower Mountain Texas a bunch of Tim wals kamla Harris Cookies Cupcakes did you do or just cookies just a cookie just a little cookie and these cookies have warranted death threats from people in the community and the story of this went this viral we start at the Dallas Morning News the paper of record for the area in which Hive finds itself the headline is Flower Mount Bakery faces backlash for Tim Walt's cookies it's not the first time Hive Bakery has taken heat for its baked goods it doesn't stop in Dallas it doesn't even stop in Texas we move on to the New York Post which covered the story the headline is Food Network star Haley Pope Under Fire for offering Tim wal branded cookies at Texas Bakery it doesn't stop in New York it doesn't even stop in the United States ladies and gentlemen it moves on to international news this is the daily mail that's Britain the UK for those in the know Texas Baker gets brutal backlash after putting Tim W's face on cookie and it's not the first time Haley tell us what has been going on at High bakery what is it like to go viral and um then we'll come to some questions uh it has been sheer pandemonium for the last I don't know three four days um news crews coming in and out of my bakery people wanting interviews people wanting me like it's you know people don't realize that I own the bakery and they think that I'm just you know I walk in and I say oh good job guys and I walk out I [ __ ] work there all day uh so I I am part of the process like why we are successful because we all [ __ ] work there including me anyway I've had to be pulled away to like do all this [ __ ] it's made it so much harder to get my [ __ ] work done um I'm grateful for the press and everything but like it's made it really hard for me to work uh I think I made I mean it had to be over a thousand cookies in the last three days right just the comma walls cookies in addition to literally baking everything that we had in our [ __ ] Bakery like I'm tapped out there's nothing left so I'm on my feet like 11 hours a day just baking baking baking you know you're supposed to get 10,000 steps in a [ __ ] day and that includes like exercise I get that in my bakery just just back and forth from oven to slab like non-stop non-stop um our merch has sold out I mean hundreds and hundreds of like te's hoodies crew necks like all this [ __ ] gone I had to place another order they are still coming in like as I'm speaking here here my phone is just boo bo boo so uh it's [ __ ] weird because like I'm no stranger to this I always if something is happening in the news politically and I feel compelled to speak on it I will and I post it on my business page because I have a [ __ ] platform eat [ __ ] if you don't like it I don't care so this isn't anything new um we caught [ __ ] for roie Wade we catch [ __ ] for just running Pride like we live in a super conservative area where um not everybody is a [ __ ] but you know a large percentage of Flower Mound is just bigoted [ __ ] so uh you know I'm this isn't unfamiliar territory however we have never reached like international territory before with like what we're saying so uh I think this is like a first for me where it's kind of like I I kind of don't even have the words it's it's like people all around the world are rooting for kamla Harris which I think is very telling um gosh I've accumulated like tens of thousands of followers over two or three days and a lot of these people are here but some of them are in other [ __ ] countries uh so you know it's encouraging to be shipping a hoodie to Alabama Florida name a [ __ ] State I have merch going there so all these people all over the country are little blue dots and they're all hopeful and I think my biggest takea away from all of this is like people tell you to just shut up and bake like do your job you should stay out of politics this is [ __ ] you're going to crash and burn um if anything I feel complete opposite uh having done this in a super conservative area I just kind of never cared about the backlash the the reason that we do this is because there are lgbtq Plus members in our community there are you know women who believe in our Reproductive Rights in our community like they exist and so I think in voicing my opinions and letting them know that we exist like everybody knows you're not alone um so seeing all the like-minded individuals kind of come in and rally for us has been uh [ __ ] incredible this is just like next level scope though I mean I I have hundreds of emails that I have to answer hundreds of [ __ ] shipments to fulfill like it's overwhelming um Let me let me ask you this though with all this attention and stuff you're still getting those haters and the death threat stuff so does that not scare you it scares me I got you I got like one death threat um it's not like everybody's calling me an threatening death uh they mostly the comments are you know barf emojis and like you got a nose ring you must stink you know like um a lot yes I don't know like weird [ __ ] they look at my photo and they you know they say you're trashy or they sexualize me I have had sexual assault wished upon me I have had like I hope your bakery burns down with all the queers inside um I get phone calls probably I don't know once every few months that are like a little bit threatening um I have been to our police station and I was basically told uh until they hurt you unless somebody actually physically assaults me or sends me death threats on my personal cell phone there isn't anything I can do about it and I chalk it up to cyber bullying so um that's really sad that's sad that they won't do something all right let me let me ask you a question I we don't need to know the exact number but in this uh kind of Whirlwind of attention that you're getting have you made in this week more or less money than you normally make more I have made a shitload more a lot more what are we talking about here 5x 10x 20x don't sayy don't say hang on this is to a point you don't have to say the exact number to say how much money she made but it's a lot a whole bunch yeah I've made almost I would say four times what I would make a nor fourx mom and dad on this very program you have constantly repeated the Trump phrase go woke go broke does that still apply yes yes even Asher daughter has made four times the amount of money she normally makes by going woke yeah she's one small business we're talking about major corporations okay Target places like that where people don't go anymore Bud Light Bud Light yeah Target still here bu light's still here barely they lost barely they lost billions okay but here's the deal yeah if Haley would do Trump cookies there would be Trump buyers also but because her M MO is she's way left uhuh then she's not going to do it but you know what if she would do Trump cookies and get them on board she would probably make Trum cookies I [ __ ] will [ __ ] email me they are $100 for 18 I'll make you as many as you [ __ ] want I'm not opposed to making your stupid Trump cookies as long as there's not hateful [ __ ] on it I'll make whatever you want um we've made Trump cakes before like I don't [ __ ] care I will take your money I'm just not going to advertise his face on my [ __ ] page because he's disgusting okay here's the deal though there was another Bakery it wasn't yours and they were doing Trump cookies and and Harris cookies and they said that that Bakery has determined the presidency every time except once so they were wrong one time and they said this year and it wasn't your bakery it was a different one that Trump is way ahead but they they make cookies of both and then they use it as kind of like a mock election this is what I read it's like whatever candidate sells the most cookies of their head is going to be the the winner yes but you're missing the the point entirely here the story that is breaking is not that she's making KLA Harris cookies it's that there is this backlash it's that by the mere Act of making a [ __ ] cookie you can get death threats that's how politicized and divided this my my post was literally a photo of a Tim Walls cookie period and it said and it I did this on a whim like I had no plan to make these cookies I had three or four people ask are you making uh Tim Wall's cookies for the VP debate and I was like yeah [ __ ] it like I'll make six dozen so I run the cookies I post the photo with the caption I think I literally said like you know just made these cookies who's watching the debate tonight literally it and then the next day first thing when we open at 10: a.m. I get a phone call from some lady that wants to chastise me start a fight like try to put me in my place you're garbage I'm never [ __ ] ordering from you a day in my life I was like I don't need your [ __ ] [ __ ] so I didn't do anything I didn't do anything I just posted a [ __ ] cookie and said if you want him come get him there's a [ __ ] debate tonight and then you know we received all these phone calls the next day and I was like [ __ ] this so I went to the internet and said I don't give a [ __ ] about you wanting a c or not wanting to buy a cake from me because of this cookie I don't [ __ ] care you don't like me don't come here you don't like my politics [ __ ] off I don't care um like like stop calling me stop harassing me I've literally done nothing but post a cookie and then the news caught it and was like holy [ __ ] and there's like a group in Flower Mound that like an internet Facebook [ __ ] group and I think it has like yeah it has like 30 or 40,000 followers all residents of Flower Mound and their favorite thing to do is screenshot my posts put it in their group and then they just like [ __ ] garbage troll [ __ ] post one star review me so it's like I I anticipate that you know and I'm not even in the group because somebody blocked me from it so I can't even see it don't you do it back don't you do it back no what I do is somebody who's in that group that like loves us literally screenshots everything they're saying and sends it to me like on Facebook that's hilarious and they're like do you see what they're saying about you and I'm like I I honestly could not give two [ __ ] but there are a few comments where it's like oh well you took it too far like that's pretty [ __ ] gross what the hell's wrong with you so their name their photo all of it I'll post it in my stories like these are your neighbors check it out this is where we live these are the people that surround you because everybody likes to you know oh they gloat that Flower Mound is just like it's so wholesome here it's [ __ ] not there's bigots everywhere of course these are them and there's 30,000 of them okay but wait a minute so if if someone came in your bakery and wanted anything baked whether it was political or whatever you would bake it for him anything I told you I'll make anything as long as there's not a hateful message involved okay I've made a Donald Trump birthday cake for somebody it was literally just Donald Trump on a [ __ ] cake like that was it you say there 30 or 40,000 people in that group yeah how big's Flower Mound uh it's like 880,000 80 to 9 probably but then you don't post the pretty Donald Trump thanks for joining us dadre he's half asleep he had a bad night he's not doing well but then why don't you post the Trump cake so I can see it my mind want to buy one I mean I can send it to you but it's not my favorite thing to make so it's not like I want to advertise it so let me ask one more question this has reached national news I think there is a 100% chance this has gone across KLA Harris's desk and Aid someone has told her that this is happening this little Bakery and Flower Mound is getting they made uh K Harris Tim mol cookies and now is getting backlash and all this kind of [ __ ] do you think you're going to get any kind of contact from her campaign to perhaps Supply them some cookies or something like this oh my gosh I don't know I I mean we did this um when Betto was running for governor I remember and uh it kind of coincided I think with pride so we ran like and that was like oh [ __ ] in Flower Mound because you're running gay [ __ ] and B [ __ ] like together so uh that put us in the news because obviously I think that's when we maybe got that I hope you your bakery Burns down with all of you queers in it I think that might have been when that happened um but yeah so Betto caught wind of it and he invited me to one of his rallies in Denton and he met with me and I got a photo with him and then his wife came to the baker so I mean obviously that's a smaller scale than like vice presidential candidate but she's too busy giving her money away countries she's too busy um campaigning for her own moneyy I don't know know I hope I know she's done it in the past like she just went to a I think it's a spice company called what the [ __ ] is it pansies pinies or something spice anyway um they went viral because their entire campaign is like anti-trump they named their spices like anti-trump [ __ ] right um and she just went there in pennslvania not that long ago and like shopped had a photo op all that [ __ ] and now those people have like a milon followers or something I don't know if she's still campaigning in Texas at all or if they've written Texas off and they're not coming there but there's a nonzero chance she winds up in your store at some point yeah we'll see I don't know oh my God uh do you have any because now you've kind of had these brushes with the political world through your baking do you have any aspirations to become part of Texas politics oh my God uh that's a yes I can tell that's a yes you're not saying no immediately you're going to run for you know I have I have thought about running for mayor Flower Mound before yes please do if you do this I'll help you I'll I'll definitely help you I'll I'll help you run your campaign I'll write speeches for you I'll do whatever you need I will help you if you want to do this yeah I have honestly thought about it like there was a there was a there was a our our pre now we have like a it's a female mayor she's more liberal leaning and I think a lot of people like her but prior to that um the guy that was in charge was just a [ __ ] [ __ ] uh you know like the gun tote and roor Rootin you know good old white boy type [ __ ] and at that point I was like [ __ ] this man should I just run for mayor because I have like a I have like a platform and and I give a [ __ ] about like what's going on in our community and and I'm not a bigot so I thought especially like our school system like there's all kinds of emails that I've received that are like really disheartening about teachers and counselors and things and what parents here in Flower Mound are doing to them um so you know I have kids in the school system so I had the thought like well maybe I could make a real difference if I ran for some kind of office in FL Mountain so I have thought about it hell yeah and then you just do that and that's a a little stepping stone to Texas State politics a little stepping stone to Senator Haley Pope Senator yes from the great state of Texas the governator are you are you are you willing to take a bullet for us Haley willing take bullet like Trump did what you will in politics he took a bullet for us are you willing to do that I mean I could take a bullet any day I don't know I guess yeah it could happen right now I live in Texas okay I got I gotta say we'll get back to Haley just a minute and then we got to go to our next topic mom you go getting an abortion costs hundreds if not thousands of dollars especially if you have to leave a state that has a uh an abortion ban or you know you've got to leave yeah a Planned Parenthood of like New England has projected a great deficit to help people uh but there is a National Abortion Federation which runs a hotline that helps cover procedures and costs it has been forced to cut the budget in half but if you need care you call that hotline and there you go so that a little be would would it be awesome if you could just get a [ __ ] abortion in your own State and then we could just not have to deal with any of this I know but the lady that had the main question to us without Chad giving me time to research there you go all right let's move on to our second topic who won the vice presidential debate CNN pulled viewers of the vice presidential debate between Tim ws and JD Vance on Tuesday and their poll showed a narrow split for people who thought was the winner 51% favored JD Vance 4 9% thought Tim wals won prior to the debate 54% expected WS to perform better uh highlighting a gain for Vance despite a divided reaction viewers left with improved perceptions of both candidates especially Vance whose favorability Rose from 30% to 41% wal's favorability increased from 46 to 59% with notable gains among women views of the candidates split along political lines 90% of trump supporters felt Vance was better while 82% of Harris supporters liked Waltz in terms of qualification for presidency 65% viewed wal is qualified while 58 said the same Advance both improving their pre-debate standings viewers also felt wels was more in touch with their needs with 48% compared to Vance's 35% interestingly a negligible 1% of viewers said the debate had influenced their vote Choice indicating the polarized nature of the electorate in defending their running mates Vance was viewed as slightly more effective than wals by 37% to 33% and the poll was conducted with 500 74 registered us voters with a margin of error of 5.3% uh and it's only people who watch the debate mom and dad did you watch the debate yes Mom yeah yes and Haley did you yeah as did I General Impressions did you think it was a good debate Mom and Dad yes I thought it was good do you think it was good well I I think it was the same story yeah Donald Trump against three Donald Trump against three it was biased he thought oh I see uh Haley um I don't know it was uneventful uh kind of boring neither of them really answered any questions I agree I don't know it was kind of pointless I guess yeah tampon bug eyes he didn't answer any damn questions and he also got caught in that lie yeah that well you say it was yeah they went they went for him there he got caught in a big lie there I loved it yeah how was that bias when they went directly at him and said you lied about being in tenan square they didn't say you lied she said yes they did yeah they did whether he was there or not right then that's a lie they said you said you were there but records show you were here that's saying you lied yeah yeah what did Vance lie about I mean the basically everything but they didn't come at Vance like that on one specific point so why do you still think that it was bias I just think he looked like I think because Vance was never given one opportunity to respond to waltz Waltz was given every opportunity to respond to Vance they each got a minute to respond to each other very beginning of the debate is a li not in the very beginning she kept cutting off lie she kept cutting him off she really did but I did like we have a lot to cover we're moving on that's what they told them okay yeah can you just put Dad's head in the actual shot he doesn't look very good today he didn't you don't really want to see that do you he's not even smiling today bad all right uh mom and dad I assume you think JD Vance won and Haley you think Tim WS won I really don't I don't know I thought they both were just terrible they both kind of like [ __ ] JD Vance is like such a snake that I know he's like a professional [ __ ] snake you know like he just oozes it yeah and Tim Walls was like [ __ ] dumb so the whole thing agree 100% both terrible I agree came a Vance could have went at him even more and really made him look more stupid but he didn't so I kind of give him kudos for that he could got into drunk driving his um his military service record um all of that but they didn't so and they didn't really get into how Vance called him Hitler if I remember right called Trump Hitler they asked some question about like you've changed your attitude about Donald Trump and he's like yes let me just say that's because I've become aware of new things and no not aware of new things he said how the media was biased and stuff right well the media is not biased I mean it's a direct quote he said that Trump is America's Hitler he said that right and he changed his mind so there you go okay tampon bug eyes that guy is just ridiculous what was the highlight of the the knight's proceedings for you Mom and Dad um I was was glad that Waltz didn't have on earrings with someone telling him what to say um H went over your head oh right right right you think that K Harris's earrings were earpieces someone telling her what to say okay so no high know he could have got the questions ahead of time too yeah but there was no whistleblower therey highlight was Waltz is just so [ __ ] stupid okay the stupidity of Waltz Haley there wasn't any I thought that JD Vance for sure was going to give us some memes or something yeah I don't know there was no highlight for me it was just kind of like a [ __ ] L because he's a great speaker he can really speak well well he's he's like what I he's a sorry go ahead Hy he's just a professional like con artist yeah that that's what I really took away from it was like oh I get why Trump picked him now he will just say whatever he needs to to float the party line and that's it and he'll say it in that way that's like I'm not answering any kind of a question but I'm slightly hinting at leaning toward this type of thing the for me the Highlight was when um Tim W turned and asked him do you think Trump lost the 2020 election and he was like well what I'll say is no no no no no no no no no and he didn't answer the question at all and Tim WS was like in not answering you have basically said you you think he didn't win yeah you think that that Trump won you know um yeah that to me was the moment that was like okay JD Vance if it gets to like Trump wins the election and wants to do some shady ass [ __ ] in the the following election and run for a third term J Vance will support it he'll do whatever is necessary whatever is asked I mean that's that's why he's vice president he will do whatever it takes for political gain it doesn't matter yes yeah he's only the truth but that's okay all right let's move on to to our simmer down even though we're not that riled up Taylor Swift's poll numbers are down after her endorsement of KL Harris according to a new poll that came out this week 47% of Republicans now say they
