Maryl, this is a feel not think question, so please take your time to answer. What emotions would you feel if you've been totally wrong about Trump? Also, what emotions would you have to confront? She's not here. Um, but I do think that that is a big part of her inability. Just in my opinion, I'm not a psychologist. I'm not a psychiatrist. I have no degrees or study in any of these fields other than my 29 years on this earth. 29 forever.

Um, I think that is a big part of her inability to finally relinquish the mantle of Magga. It's that idea that you will have to ultimately admit that you've been wrong for 10 plus years about this guy, that he did trick you, that he lied, etc., etc. Even that like MAGA generally was a lie, that the entire thing was a trick and you got tricked. So in denouncing Trump there is a kind of um implicit denial of your own ability to see the truth. And I think for a lot of maga that's just like a hard thing to the ego. It's it's like difficult to

say, "Oh, I made a mistake, especially for this long." A prolonged mistake of, you know, a decade basically at this point, I think is a hard thing to accept, especially when that mistake has kind of colored your identity for so long, especially in um you know, an era where like politics really is the biggest reality show on the planet. It's kind of like it's what dominates I feel like most media that is happening right now.

Ed Goule Chad, I've been following all your projects since started pandemic. Thank you very much. I have to know how you balance your life with creating this volume of content. Uh, I don't know. Do I balance my life? Probably not. I don't know. I just wake up and or not even when I wake up. Sometimes when I'm sleeping, too. This little [ __ ] thing is just making [ __ ] And when I wake up, I got to start getting it out of the brain or it um it ain't good for me. So, it's it's more making that volume of stuff, whether it's writing books or drawing my little

magic cards or whatever I'm doing, you know? Uh I just need to be making like art basically kind of 247 in order to stay sane. So, um yeah, I don't know if I would call it balance exactly. It wasn't easy, but she overcame the hateful indoctrination and became a hero. Yes.

Um, Attack on Titan is for anybody out there who's never Okay, for for anybody out there who's never seen anime, uh, I believe it's September 4th. I have tickets to this in Los Angeles. AMC is playing um Akira in IMAX, I think. If you can um find those tickets, I would look it up if you've never seen anime. This is the perfect thing to go to. It's a movie in a movie theater. It's about two hours long.

It is This movie came out in the late 80s. It is still, I think, the best anime movie ever made. It will blow your mind in every way. The story is great. The music's great. Visually, you will have never seen anything like it. It's all handdrawn cell animation, but it's at a level that I don't think has ever been achieved since. Um, so I would highly recommend doing that. And if you're into a TV show, Attack on Titan is one of the best.

Marissa Chef, what does Mary Lou think about Hassan Parker [ __ ] I think now that he gets trashed by Fox News every day, still loves him. He's still the third child of the Cult family and can do no wrong. My mom will defend us on per I think till her dying day even though technically he's on the the other side of pretty much everything from her.

Well, that's not true though. Abolish ICE and universal healthcare. Those are two things that you know my mom is weighing into as well. Jack Zilin arrest at the border is fake news. The real metric is gotaways people who cross the border without being arrested. Unlike Biden, Trump has not released any gotaway numbers since taking office. Interesting. I haven't looked into that. I just read a couple long articles about how July was the most arrests ever made by ICE in the history of DHS. And I just want to bring that up today to my mom because she, you know, has kind of been on this thing

where she's like, "Well, what happened to ICE? We don't hear anything bad anymore." It's like, yeah, because they're doing it more quietly and they're not shooting people in the head and you know, um they're just like arresting people at airports and [ __ ] now. This strange place 22 Chad, who is your hero? I mean, there's a few. When I was a kid, it was a baseball player called George Brett. He played for the Kansas City Royals, which is my favorite team as a kid. And he hit 390. I want to say it was in 1982, which was the closest to hitting 400 since Ted Williams did it

many years before and I think since maybe one other person has come close, maybe Tony Gwyn or something like that. At any rate, I loved him. And then um he was also involved in some like crazy kind of baseball history incidents. There's an incident called the Pinear incident where he hit a home run against the Yankees and Billy Martin, the manager, then manager of the Yankees, came out and said he had too much pine tar in his bat. So they measured it and indeed it was like over by half an inch.

This weird obscure rule. So they called the home run back and said he was out and he storms out of the dugout. This is like you can find this clip on YouTube. He's like ah you know screaming and yelling. He also has a very funny clip when he became a coach for the Kansas City Royals many years after his retirement where he's talking to some players in spring training about how he [ __ ] his pants in Las Vegas after eating at an all you can eat buffet. That clip is also funny. So I would say George Brett um is among my heroes. Uh, a lot

of different artists and writers and stuff, you know, I I would say have been heroes of mine. Frank Herbert, who wrote Dune. Um, there's a bunch bunch of scientists. Carl Sean, I would say, is like very high on that list. Jacques Valle is very high on that list. Bunch of them. Dan C8388. Has Mary Luke looked into this? Yes, we have talked about that on the show a few times. We talked about it last week or the week before that there are these handwritten um notes that the FBI made and I I believe it wasn't just the 13-year-old victim. I want to say there were four victims or maybe it was four sessions of taking notes. But from my memory of reading these articles, there are four such uh clusters of these handwritten FBI notes that kind of detail the allegations from various survivors that were all children at the time or at least this one. And we have

talked about that with my mom. She just doesn't believe they're real. And I don't think even if she saw the printed documents, I still think she would be like, "Well, they're just allegations. It didn't matter." You know, the fact that she still relies on the crutch of the Eugene Carol thing being only found guilty in civil court and then keep saying like, "You don't need to have not everybody has to agree that it was unanimous." And it's like, yes, for for that you do. And they did twice. two juries unanimously voted to find him guilty. Um, anyways, I digress.

We will bring that up if that if that becomes like a big news story here in the next few weeks, and I think it might, certainly we will touch on that again. I really do think like as he as his kind of bully identity is the primary piece of his identity, he needs to have these perceived victories over perceived enemies. Right now, Canada is the target. He's in a losing war with Iran, so he's just going to go back to Canada and be like, I'm putting more tariffs on you. Come to the table, make a [ __ ] deal. And Canada's just like, nah, [ __ ] you, dude. We don't need it.

No, I don't believe so. And I would say this, I don't think from my experience volunteering at Planned Parenthood, what they have made me do each time is um you it's not a Planned Parenthood. It's a Planned Parenthood clinic that's out here in LA. Um they make you at least again this has been my experience. I don't know what other people's experience are, but when you show up to volunteer, they give you a little vest and it says volunteer on it and they put you kind of like in the parking lot. And what you're meant to do is help people walk from the parking lot

into the building. Um, and kind of like, you know, usher them if there are protesters and [ __ ] out there, which there have been in in cases that I've seen, they have you kind of like walk the people to the front door so that they don't have to deal with the [ __ ] protesters throwing um postcards with like, you know, horrific images on them and [ __ ] like that. So, would my mom be able to do that? I don't think so. Um, nor do I think they would want somebody like my mom doing it who is pro-life. I think a pro-life person volunteering at

a Planned Parenthood is probably not going to go well. Um, in terms of fostering a child, I mean, she's 73 years old. I'm not sure that would be good either. My dad is basically like her child at this point with all of his health problems and stuff. I [snorts] don't know. I I I would be curious if she would volunteer to Planned Parenthood. And I would be curious to see what that would be like. Like what is the outcome of that? Again, I'm not sure it's a great idea. [laughter] I could be wrong. Maybe it would open our eyes. Um, but I think it might do

It like it's like you have some momentum going and then you get to a spot and it's like [ __ ] where do I go next? And all the momentum is gone and you have to just kind of hang there for a second until you figure out the next path forward. I feel like that's where we're at with her. We had some very good momentum. Um, we're still getting her to admit that she's against a lot of the stuff that Trump is saying. She's still holding fast on some of these big issues like ICE and universal healthcare. She doesn't like the war, etc., etc. But the

we can't get her over that last hump. We can't find the path like to the top of the the rock wall just yet, but she's still hanging on as are we. And I think that this thing of like, well, I just hope he ends the war soon. It's like, but he started the war and he could end it any time and he's just doing it to make more money. That isn't what's like sinking in. And so, and I think even with Hegsth, she's like, "Yeah, it well, the boat's coming home. That's the important thing, you know." Uh, so I don't know. I I don't know what she

thinks exactly. Obviously, she's not here. I don't want to put words in her mouth, but it is one of the weirder things to me that she can't use the war and Trump and Hegsth's treatment of it or ignoring it in this case to kind of like, you know, find that next place to put her hand on the rock wall. So, that one didn't pan out. World War II also within the next two years. didn't quite pan out, although we may be in it now. Half of US population will be dead in two years. [laughter] That one also did not pan out. So, he's got like a bunch. My mom has a bunch on this little list. Um, let's see. I have one. No military or civilian action ever taken against dad. I made that prediction on 61823. Haley has a few predictions. Vance and Kirk will be married. The Erica Kirk obviously and JD Vance. If Trump is president, abortion will be federally overturned. She

predicted that in 2023. And I would say that one came true. So, uh, maybe we'll do an episode or something, a midweek one, where we revisit all those. Um, where was I? Sorry. CEB 105. Will Democratic Socialists be the thing to move the US out of Trump era or will Trump just keep pulling election stunts to stay in power? That I don't know. I think these midterms are going to be very illuminating in terms of basically finding out if we still have elections here or not. Um, I do like that all these Democratic Socialists are winning these primaries. I think that's a very good sign that they're going to

win their elections, their their actual elections against the um Republicans. Um, and then yeah, I think it's a good thing. It's hopefully that all happens. I think it's going to inject a lot of like real progressive type attitudes into our government which are like sorely needed. I think the old establishment Democrats basically need to take a [ __ ] hike. As far as I'm concerned right now, anybody who's in the Senate or Congress, maybe other than AOC, bye-bye.

We're in this mess because of them and they're completely ineffective. They can't do anything. Um, I would literally not vote for anybody who is currently in office. That's just me. Laugh out, Livia. Um, this time next year, I guess maybe we'll start to see is he going to run for president for a third time? Maybe. So yeah, I don't know. I I would give it a 50/50. She just isn't ready yet to say he's not my president or I

We're in for a very weird time in these midterms, but I think it's going to be a super important one because it's going to show us what his plan is for the presidential election. more overt I guess. But um Palunteer, the NSA, all of the technological devices that we all use in our lives on a secondto-second basis, we are already living in a 100% surveillance state. The flock cameras to me don't make it much worse. Honestly, I do like what's happening though. I like that people are like cutting them down and stuff.
