In the aftermath of the 2024 election, America is even more divided than before. Half the country fears the end of democracy and the other half welcomes it. As America inches toward the brink of authoritarian rule, now more than ever, we must force ourselves to have the necessary conversation. Welcome to the necessary conversation. It's me, Chad Kulchin. With me today is my mom, Mary Lou Kulchin, proud Trump supporter, and my sister is not here.
[laughter] She's gallivanting. She abandoned us. She told us if we wanted to do the podcast, I'd have to wake up at 4:00 a.m. my time to do it, and I said, "That's not going to make for a great show."
[laughter] So, we're just doing it at the regular time with us, but we wish Haley happy gallivanting. I hope she's having a good time doing whatever she's doing.
Yes, I hope she's happy. Hope she's doing happy things. All right, Mom, you want to start it off with your ditties? Yeah, I have a couple. Um a thank you to uh Steven Help me. Hassan? No, Hassan, right?
Yeah. Help me. Steven Hassan. I want to say his name right. He sent you his books? Okay. He sent me the books with that he autographed, and I In fact, I got all three. One, Combating Cult Mind Control, two, and The Freedom of the Mind, three. Thank you. I appreciate it. Thank you for sending these to me. Um I have started on this one. I've done the forward and started the intro, so I'm right at chapter one, and I will let you know. These are very thick books, okay?
In second grade, I was left behind on the choo-choo train because I didn't read very fast. Okay. Right. I probably could be on a therapist couch over that. I remember the teacher coming to me saying, "Don't ask your friends to uh stop on the end of the choo-choo train with you if they're going to go forward with the book they read. They get the next, you know, car. So, don't ask your friends to hang with you, Mary Lou."
Anyway, I'm going to read those. I'm going to read them as fast as I can. Thank you. But, Okay. We'll see. We'll have to do a little a little book club or something um when you get done with it.
Yeah, the first one I've started on the first one. Yes, uh the second one, The Patriot of the Year. And this is one of our topics that we'll talk about later, but I'll just say it real quick.
Wait, you're giving out Patriot of the Year already? Yes. We still have a couple of months left in this year. No, Jayme Monn Co. He intervened and he stopped the shooting at Silver Rail Elementary in Oregon.
Awesome. That's going to be one of our topics. That's going to I said that's going to be one of our topics, so we'll talk about that later. Then I have one more ditty. This is a ditty.
All right. Trump trumped the Secretary of Defense. You said he wouldn't do this. He did. No to televising or live streaming uh the December 3rd execution. It is not going to be live streamed.
Right, but he wanted to do it. And then he saw that everybody was saying, "Oh, this is a bad idea." And the whole world was saying, "You're a [ __ ] monster." And so he was like, "Well, maybe I shouldn't do it." He said he wanted to do it.
The Secretary of Defense wanted to do it, and he shot him down. about this last week. He didn't shoot him down. He said, "We're going to do it." Then everybody else said this is a terrible idea, and now he's backtracked. He did want to do it.
I took it as only the Secretary of Defense wanted to show it and do it. Right, but you're I mean, I don't know how you're taking it like that. We literally talked about this last week.
Well, I'm old. I guess it's my old brain. He did proceed though with the firing squad. He said yes to that and he said the families the victims with the families can attend. So
Okay. That was my ditty. I'm done. Okay. Uh before we get into everything going on this week, which is a lot, I did want to ask you. On Wednesday, we talked about the Oklahoma midterms and we talked about the um candidates for your governor. Do you remember this? Mike Mazie is the Republican or Mike Mazae? I don't know how you pronounce his last name.
Mazie. Mazie. He's the uh Republican candidate and Cindy Munson is your Democratic candidate for governor and we talked about the candidates for the Oklahoma Senate seat that got opened by getting promoted to head of DHS. Kevin Hern is the Republican there. Jasmine Thomas is the Democrat. Mom, you sided with the Democrats on almost all their views when we discussed this. They are both anti-ICE as you are. They are both anti-war in Iran as you are. They are both pro-universal health care as you are. The Republican candidates are the opposite of all of that. They are pro-ICE, pro-war, anti-health care.
And you said you would look into it. Did you? Yes. You forgot to tell me a couple um uh main ideas of the governor's race. Cindy Munson
Mhm. uh voted against that I think it was the Women's Save Act or it was the act that would keep boys out of women's sports. So she
Okay. I think her belief is boys and girls can play together in the same sport. I do not believe that in any way, any shape, any form.
Okay. Let me just ask you this. On your scale of importance, where would you rank war in Iran, ICE murdering people in the streets, universal health care, and what you're saying is boys playing in girls sports, which has never happened?
Yes, it has. That's one of the big things that Trump wants to take away. Okay. So, okay, fine. at number I would rank it at number four, you know that.
Okay. But when we went over some of those issues that those candidates believed in, you didn't tell me that. You didn't tell me that she's pro um trans surgeries, I think for children. Not of age.
It's It's because these things all of your weird transphobia, it it is centered on ideas that the Republican Party is putting out there to get you to feel scared and afraid and all of this [ __ ] and they're not real.
I looked up her voting record, Chad, and she voted against that one act that would keep the boys out of girls sports. Who cares? Why do you care so much about that? Why?
I don't I I was an athlete in college. Yeah. Um there was a boys team that played tennis and a girls team that played tennis.
Okay. Now, if I played and that was, you know, a non non uh contact sport. But if I played a contact sport, I wouldn't want a boy, let's say um Oh, I have to turn this windows back up off. Just a minute. There we go. If I was playing a contact sport such as uh volleyball, I wouldn't want a guy coming up over the top of the net with a big volleyball hitting me in
is not a contact sport. People aren't tackling and punching each other in volleyball. No, but I know people that have got hurt in volleyball with a male on the other side.
saw that one video and let me ask you this, do you think that ever happens when trans athletes aren't playing? I'm not saying just trans, I'm saying boys against girls.
Okay. I you know, after we talked to Peppermint, I was always like there should be a boys team, a girls team, and then if you're trans boy, a trans boys team, a trans girls team. That's fine with me. Whatever, whatever you want to do. But I don't believe that boys who are more physically um stronger should be contacting and hitting girls.
not. Okay. Uh the swimming the swimming one you're so hung up on this and you're giving these super isolated examples that you saw some YouTube video of that probably isn't even real. And you're allowing it to cloud your vision on issues like war, health care, ICE killing people in the streets. The trans thing doesn't matter. It's the Republicans are using it to cloud your vision to get you hyper focused on that so you vote for a Republican and then they go into office, more war, more ICE, less health care.
The trans thing is a it's bait to get people like you pissed off so that you will never vote for a Democrat. But it was on her voting record, Chad. I looked it up.
Okay, it doesn't matter. Mom, listen to what I'm telling you. That's not garbage that um Republicans or Democrats are throwing out there. It is because it doesn't matter. What is more important to you? The whatever your your believing these trans things are to be or ending the war in Iran.
Of course, ending the war in Iran, but I do not want children under the age of 16 Okay. to be able to medically change. They're too old. I mean, they're too young to know that.
Okay. So, here I'm going to give you a choice. Here's what you can have in our next government. Okay. An end to the war in Iran, an end to how ISIS doing things now, and universal health care, and trans kids get to have gender-affirming care, or trans kids don't get gender-affirming care, the war lasts forever, ICE kills more people, nobody has health care. Which of those two Which do you choose?
You know what I would choose. In the war In the war. So, that means you should vote for Democrats. Because both of your Republican candidates are pro-war. One of whom the guy running for Senate uh Mark Hern, I think was his name.
Right. Or something Hern. I forget his first name. That guy has He's in the house now and has been for a while. He has voted to extend the war. He has voted to fully fund ICE in every capacity and against universal health care. So, you already have that guy in government voting against your best interest, voting against what you want. The trans thing doesn't matter.
You have You have to look at the full spectrum. And that That is I get it. Yes, and that's why I just asked you that question.
Okay. Because you're never going to get a candidate who gives you everything you want. It's never going to happen. So, you have to weigh what issues actually matter to you.
Okay. the trans thing for you is the biggest issue, then you have to accept endless war, ICE killing people, and nobody has health care. You have to That is what you're voting for if you're voting on the trans issue.
I'll give you that. I see what you're saying. I understand. Okay. Uh let's move on to our question from a listener. If you have a question, all you have to do is record it in a 1-minute or shorter video format, send it to the necessary conversation [email protected]. In the subject line, put the word question or I will not open it. And if you put the word question and I open it and there's no attachment, delete. Thank you very much. Here we go. Are you ready, Mom?
Yep. Here's our question. [snorts] Getting my glasses. Hi Cultch fam. You'll have to excuse my crazy hair rollers. Um it's late and I did not want to forget to ask my question. But my question is for Mary Lou. You have mentioned many times when Trump has done something and said, "Well, that's not going to happen. It's not going to work. Someone is going to stop that." So, in a way that dismisses the attempted crime that Trump is um performing in our legal system.
And so, my question relates to do you believe that in our country we should not have consequences for attempted crimes such as attempted murder or attempted robbery? Or should Trump be held accountable for his attempted crimes in our legal system? Thanks.
All right. Did you get that? That Yes, I did. I heard what she's saying. I do believe I'll succinctly rephrase. Okay. You constantly say whenever I bring up something that Trump is trying to do bad, like run for a third term or uh
That will not happen. public execution, right? You say, "Well, that's not going to happen." And I say it doesn't matter because he's trying to do it. The question here is if you attempt to do something bad, should there be consequences for that as there are in our legal system? Attempted murder is still a crime even if you don't succeed.
Yes, in regard to robbery, murder, of course there should be consequences. Right. There should For him just to stand up and say, "Yeah, I'm going to maybe run for a third term." Ha ha ha. That's not a consequence. That's like, "Okay, you're not going to, so be quiet."
What if he attempts? He is not going to. He's not going to make it. he is not going to. That doesn't What you're saying is completely ignoring this question. What if he attempts to do it?
If he would attempt to run, I don't see how we could put him in jail for that as a consequence. talking about putting him in jail. I'm talking about your attitude. Would you denounce him?
I probably would. No, probably? Yes or no? Yes. Okay. Well, because it's not going to happen. Okay. Um I also wanted to, before we get into our topics, talk to you about these midterms. We just talked about you did do a little more research into these candidates. I want to know your prediction for these midterms. Do you think Republicans are going to win all the midterms? Do you think Democrats are going to win back the House or the Senate? How do you think it's going to go? And then what do you think Trump's reaction to it will be?
[snorts] Are you talking about across the whole United States or just in my state? United States. I think it's going to be close. Um is it three or four seats they have to win to flip it? Right?
remember. It's not very many. It's just a few. Yeah. I think that could happen, but I think we would still control the um the Senate. Correct?
Uh I I mean, I don't know. There's some Senate seats up for grabs, too. It's possible that the the I think Democrats could win both. It's possible. Likely, probably not, but it is possible. Let's say that the Democrats win both Senate and House or either. If they just win one, they can start launching investigations into Trump. Let's say that happens. Do you think Trump will accept the results or do you think he will try to steal ballots? Try He's already suing the state of California to try and get ballots uh remaining uncounted and stuff.
No, he will be He'll be okay. I mean, he's not going to like it. No Republican probably will like it, but there's nothing you can do. This is the way we vote. This is it.
So, if he attempts to seize ballots or invalidate the midterm elections if the results do not go in his favor, will you denounce him?
I won't denounce him, but I will not like it in any way, shape, or form. Why wouldn't you denounce him? That's clearly an authoritarian trying to take over take full control of the government to go against our election.
Because the election has been against him before, too. So, he knows it both ways, I guess. But has been against him. What does that mean? People didn't vote for him?
Like all the Yes, they did, but um the year that, you know, the ballots were cast way late at night. Ballots were dumped that shouldn't have
[laughter] You know. [ __ ] So, you're an election denier. You think he won in 2020. I kind of do. Yes. Okay. So, you're an election denier. Perfect. Um all right, let's move on to our first topic. Jesus, we're already 16 minutes in. Trump is a Russian asset. On Friday, Trump signed an order waving sanctions and tariffs on Russia days before they were to take effect under a law he signed just last month. And just after Trump agreed to buy diesel from Putin, giving the dictator even more money to fund his war with Ukraine.
Who says restrictions uh to Elon Musk's Starlink system has have left them unable to intercept Russian drones that are killing civilians. Musk claims Trump ordered the limitation of Ukraine's access to his satellites, while Trump claims he had nothing to do with it. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the sanctions decision wrong, saying it only helps Russians, and he vowed that he is done with Trump and will attack Russian oil refineries in light of Trump buying their oil.
Republicans are actually speaking out against Trump on this in a rare rebuke. Senator Thom Tillis called it beyond irresponsible. Senator John Cornyn wrote that Lindsey Graham would be appalled, referring to the late senator who passed this law, uh and Senator Rick Scott said Russia is clearly the aggressor. Mom, why do you think Trump is helping one of America's oldest enemies in Russia?
Well, he denied it in the first place. You're saying he did it. He denied limiting access uh to the Starlink and helping Russia. He denied it.
Musk said he did it. So, who do you believe? I do not know on that one. Who do you believe? Two different people saying two different things.
Elon Musk. Why do you believe him over Trump? Because I don't think Elon Musk can I don't think he would go outside of the kind of governmental structure to make a geopolitical move like that that is literally helping Russia in a war against Ukraine. I think that order, as he said, has to come from the White House. Trump is now lying. "I don't know anything about it. What's going on? Da da da da da da."
But so Okay. What what what you accused him of was being an asset, right, to Russia? Correct. So, for him to do that, do you not remember what year was it? 2019-ish? I have it written down somewhere. Yeah, the investigation into him, Russia Russia Russia. That wasn't He's not an asset to Russia. I do not believe.
He has helped them more in the past week than probably any other country in the world has helped them in this war. So you're saying he's a Russian agent?
Uh yeah, maybe not overtly an agent, but he's helping Putin for sure overtly. He's buying oil from him. He lifted all their sanctions, so they don't have any financial uh burden anymore. They can work freely financially in the case of this war. We are giving them money now. And we hindered Ukraine's ability to get satellite information, which allowed Russia to bomb like grocery stores and stuff. That's what happened this past week, killing civilians.
I did see that. Do you think this is just though he wants the war over, so he's just going one-sided? So he's That's like saying during World War II if we would've been like, "Well, we just want the war over, so we're going to help Hitler take over the world." That's Putin is that. Putin is the aggressor. He is invading a country that was doing nothing, just sitting around minding its own business.
If he wins this war, if he takes Ukraine, he'll take more. He goes to the next and the next and the next and the next. His goal is endless expansion of the Russian empire under his regime.
I think where Zelenskyy fouled up was the first time or second time that when he came to the United States, he never got along with Trump. Do you remember that disaster? They've never got along.
Why would he get along with a guy who's helping the guy who's invading his country? But that was like years when he came, years ago, three years ago.
I don't know what you're doing here in your mind. This is not Zelenskyy's fault. Putin invaded his country. He is defending his country. Trump is now helping Russia, helping Putin in this war. Literally, be the high-ranking Russian officials are tweeting out like, "Victory. Finally, we've won because Trump is helping them."
Yeah, and that satellite thing, that's terrible if he did do that. He denies it, but if he did do that, that's killing innocent people.
Well, I can tell you this, Trump has received hundreds of millions of dollars from Russia in various forms of real estate deals, licensing deals. He held the Miss Universe pageant, I think in Moscow one year. Who the hell knows what was going on there. He has stayed in hotels that are known to be places where if you go there, there's cameras everywhere, and whatever you're doing in those rooms is being recorded by Putin to use as blackmail on you. He has stayed in those places.
Like the Russian Epstein. Maybe. I mean, Epstein also did similar kind of things. And he took multiple trips to Russia prior to running for office in 2016. Why does he have all these links to Russia if he's not a Russian asset? If they don't have blackmail on him, I'm not saying he's willingly doing it. They may have blackmail on him, but also he's a type of guy who clearly likes dictators, said he is one, is doing all this authoritarian [ __ ] in America.
Why do you not think that he's helping Russia? Yeah, I I Yeah, I mean, early on we were saying Ukraine you can't Ukraine Ukraine, and now Yeah, it's hard for me to understand a little bit.
Let me help you. Okay. Trump is compromised either through blackmail or through willingly wanting to help Putin so that he too can be a kind of strongman dictator of the world. And that's what he's doing. He wants Russia to win that war, so he's helping them.
What would the blackmail be, I wonder? We already heard about it. This happened in in the dossiers that came out back in the 2010s, that there are tapes, supposedly, that Putin has of Trump engaging in all kinds of weird sex [ __ ] in those hotels where he stayed.
Okay, didn't know that. So, your end take on this is it's fine. We should be helping one of our oldest enemies in this war?
Yeah, no, it's not fine. He denied it, but if he did it, it's terrible because innocent people it, but he denied what? He has removed all sanctions. He is buying oil from them.
He denied doing the Starlink thing that must say But who did it? I don't I don't know. He's the only one who can.
That can lift the security thing on it? Not lift the security thing. He throttled their ability to access those satellites so they couldn't see where the drones were coming. They They were basically like flying dark and Russia was like, "Perfect. Launch the drone strikes. Blow up as many civilians as we can. Just kill and kill."
was just like less surveillance or something that he imposed or something, but then he denied it. I don't know. But he You know he lies constantly.
Well, that whole war needs to be done. Just finish. that war needs to be done, but you're not understanding. We are now the bad guy. We are now allies with Russia.
Helping Russia. I understand what you're saying. And that's because of Trump. No other president in history has done this. Or aligned with China.
And he also did that. Remember when he had the president of China here and rolled out the red carpet and had our US military members down on their hands and knees picking lint off the red carpet?
That still bugs you so bad. They were cleaning the carpet off. That's no big deal. All right. Moving on. Number two, the best people. Despite Trump's promise to only pick quote the best people for roles in his administration, the new White House press secretary Katie Zaccaria only lasted five days in the job before she was told to resign by Trump. Zaccaria was named to the role on October 9th.
Before that, she had worked at Trump Media for only a few months, and earlier this year spent just six weeks as Homeland Security spokesperson. She was best known as a commentator on Fox News and Newsmax. Sources say Trump spontaneously offered her the job during a meeting and the chief of staff Susie Wiles, who didn't know her, did not object. Her first and only briefing on Tuesday lasted 14 minutes. She took just three questions and it was widely criticized. One aide said, "She spent the week isolated and did not function as a press secretary." Then came questions about her resume.
Trump lied about her being an attorney, and Fox identified her on screen as a lawyer at least 18 times. But, reporters found no record that she was ever licensed to practice law in any state. Asked where she passed the bar, she said China. She later said she had misheard the question. And Thursday night on Hannity, she admitted she never passed the bar or got a US law license. The Wall Street Journal reports she took California's bar exam but failed it. Zaccaria is the 11th high-profile member of the Trump administration to leave or be fired. We have Elon Musk, head of Doge in 2025.
Mike Waltz, national security advisor moved out in 2025. Billy Long, IRS commissioner 2025. Susan Monarez, CDC director 2025. Kristi Noem, Homeland Security secretary 2026. Pam Bondi 2026. Laurie Chavez DeRemer, Labor secretary 2026. Tulsi Gabbard 2026. John Fielin, Navy secretary 2026. Caroline Leavitt, White House press secretary 2026. And finally, Katie Zaccaria, uh right now, October 2026. She lasted five days in the job, Mom. Katie Zaccaria.
Do you think Trump knows how to pick quote the best people for high-level positions in government? Yes, I do. I I feel like
I just read that list of all these people that he's fired or they had to quit or leave. All of them. Uh what I told you, it was like last Wednesday or the last one with you and Haley, I said, "Let's give her a chance. Let her do her debut. Let's see how it goes." It did not go well.
Yeah. Um you could tell she was nervous. She mis- messed up president and husband [clears throat] words. She was nervous. Yeah. Caroline Leavitt is a hard one to follow because she was a tough little cookie. Um Sh- Katie struggled. It was sad
Right. cuz I think she's a beautiful person, beautiful um individual. Okay. Trump said What Trump said is maybe this isn't the right job for her. Um he said, you know, that he's going to let her decide. He probably did fire her. I did see that Hannity interview. Man, Hannity and Trump are best buds. Hannity went after her.
As he should. She's lying and so is Trump about her credentials. My question to you is this. You're saying she's a beautiful person, oh, we had to give her a chance. Trump was just in a meeting with her and was like, "Why don't you be the White House press secretary?" No credentials. No background checks at all. Why do you think he offered her the job of White House pres- press secretary with no experience at all?
Because he thought that she could represent him and the United States and what he says and and feels. Right. And do you think he was correct in that choice?
You don't have to be an attorney or a lawyer to have that position. That's right. But when she did lie about it, all her credibility then was done.
He lied about it, too. But he might have thought she did. Uh-huh. But the China thing, she did say with the helicopter or whatever going, she or Air Force One, she did not hear that question, and she thought that they said um
Well, she's been lying about being an attorney for literal years at this point. Whether she heard the question or not does not matter. And my question to you is why do you think Trump picked her?
Because like I said, he thought she would represent Okay. the United States well in the press meetings. And why do you think he thought that? What gave him that impression even though she had zero experience and was lying about being a If the President of the United States cannot even vet his White House press secretary to find out if she's lying about being a lawyer, how can that person be good, have good judgment in terms of picking other people for high-level positions?
It was do a single background check on her before giving her the position of press secretary, the person who faces the whole world to talk about White House issues?
Because she believed the same things he did. She is an articulate speaker. She just had a bad 13 minutes up there. It was tough. You could just feel for her.
not You're not listening to anything I'm asking you. This is not about her. This is about Donald Trump picking inept idiots to do these jobs, and then they have to get pushed out or fired when invariably they go on camera and say something stupid or prove that they are completely unqualified to do whatever the job is. She has proven that. He selected her for no reason other than she looks like Caroline Love It.
I don't think she blonde Republican-looking woman. He surrounds himself with these women. His his human printer. It looks exactly like her. I don't think she was not qualified. She fouled up saying attorney lawyer that statement.
fouled up. Not fouled up, Mom. She lied. Actively lied for years about it. For your years? Yes, when she was on Fox Are you listening to anything I'm saying? When she was on Fox News, they identified her as a lawyer 18 times. So, she is about to go on Fox News. Yep, I'm a lawyer. Put my thing on screen. She has been lying about it for a long time in order to go on TV to make herself seem more credible in any of the things that she's doing appearances for.
And maybe that's why Trump thought she was. But, she's out the door. Fine. That's why Trump thought she was. But, don't you think our president should be able to vet people a little better? Don't you think our president should at least have the vetting skills of the Washington Post or any of these newspapers that broke this news within two days? All of these newspapers were like, she's not a lawyer.
But, Trump wasn't able to figure that out? Probably. But, you know what I don't like? the president should be able to figure that out and his team
thought that from prior things. But, you know what I don't like, too? After this all occurred, then I see all these cartoonish jokes about her and they made her look ugly and, you know, ha ha ha. From the Democratic side, it was it was in the New York I I don't want I don't I'm not sure which magazine it was in, but it made her look like a terrible ghoul character.
She is a terrible ghoul character. No, she is a she is a active liar who was terrible at this job, who perpetuates all kinds of conspiracy theory [ __ ] anti-trans, all of it. She's [ __ ] terrible. I'm glad she's gone. I hope she never works again. That's my own personal feelings. The question I am asking you and you are dodging at every time is do you hold Trump responsible for this at all?
I I hold him a little responsible, but like you said, if she's been lying for so many years, she was. But it's not like because he watches Fox News and just believes it like you. He's brainwashed by right-wing media, too. Again, every newspaper in the country was able to vet her immediately, within 48 hours, and say she's lying, she's not a lawyer. But him and his White House didn't do that at all?
Right. Cuz he was just in some meeting and was like, you look you look kind of like Caroline Love it. It's your job now. That's literally how it went down.
I do not think that's how it went down. I just told you how it went down. That's the reporting. He was in a meeting with her and said, why don't you be the White House press secretary? That was it. Your job now.
Well, she no longer is. On to the next. You know who I would like to see and no one's brought this lady's name up. Kari Lake. I like her. Kari Lake.
All of this, Mom, is to illustrate the point that Trump doesn't pick people based on qualifications or skill at any job. That is now obvious. This woman lasted 5 days. It's the shortest White House press secretary run in the history of the office cuz she was so [ __ ] bad at it. And he doesn't care about that. He's not picking people based on their level of skill or their ability to perform any of the jobs he's choosing them for. He is picking them for loyalty, period. And in this case, he likes these blonde Republican looking women.
I do think he cares though and I do think Kennedy, his best friend, um, did put her on the spot in that interview to make her look bad, to make it look like, "Okay, it's okay. She's gone."
the White House press secretary. She has to be able to answer questions. That's the job. Right, and she could not. So, I get it. She's gone.
And you don't think Trump had God, it it's unbelievable to me. That entire list of people I read you who have all been pushed out, forced to resign, etc., etc. Those are all people handpicked by Trump. His entire cabinet, his entire administration is a joke because he's the one choosing these people.
Mhm. Okay. Moving on. Authoritarian raid happened this week. On Monday, Homeland Security agents raided Ilhan Omar's house. The Wall Street Journal reports agents seized her phone, passport, and computers. At the center of the investigation is immigration paperwork filed by Omar's late father when she was a child. Investigators are examining whether he misstated her age so she could gain citizenship through him. Omar said she was 17 when she became a citizen in 2000. The Journal reports the administration aims to strip her citizenship and eventually deport her.
So far, no actual evidence to support uh, the allegations has been made public and no charges have been filed. The Washington Post reports Trump officials reviewed Omar's records in 2019 and did not find enough to mount a full investigation. Legal experts note denaturalization is very rare and the government would have to prove Omar, who was a child at the time, or her father, who died in 2020, committed fraud. Omar denies any wrongdoing. The raid comes 3 weeks before the midterms despite a long-standing Justice Department norm against major investigative investigations uh, taking place near an election.
Omar's office called it an outrageous abuse of power and Omar says she will not be silenced. Trump claims he had nothing to do with the raid. Republicans are standing by the probe. House Majority Whip Tom Emmer says if the allegations are proven Ilhan Omar should face jail and deportation. Mom, do you think Ilhan Omar committed immigration fraud as a child?
Everything I've read looks like yes. I also believe she committed um the marriage to her brother to get him over here, Mhm. which is not legal.
Where did you find that information? Um Chat GPT and somewhere else. Okay, that's not credible. Okay. Where was the other place? Chat GPT is immediately eliminated. Next.
That's where I saw it. Okay. And where else? What was the other place? Just when I Google, when I look, it said there's no evidence that shows yes or no against her marrying her brother.
Okay. And that's why now we have subpoenas against the sister, the brother. Um there's also fraud against that one uh it's an investigation feeding our future investigation. Fraud that was during the COVID. Uh 250 million fraudulent dollars went somewhere.
To Ilhan Omar? They're not for sure if it went to the sister or her. Uh that's why subpoenas are being now taken of all her family members.
Um they have There's a narrative that is saying her financial disclosure fraud claims that she started having like $51,000 and then she was up to 3 30 million dollars with in a 2 and 1/2 year period.
Wait a minute. Hang on. We're going to stop right there. If you are getting pissed at her and who knows if any of this is true that you're saying, I I tend to believe it's not. Even if it is, let's say she made 300 million in the 2 years she's been in office. That's fine, right? You're okay with when Trump does it, and he's made way more.
As long as she's selling shoes or cologne and not taking it out of the COVID um the COVID money that was supposed to go to children.
You think Trump is making $4 billion on shoes and cologne? Most of the money that he's making is from other countries, running crypto scams, and stealing it. I mean, you remember when he was going to sue the uh IRS for $100 million and all that [ __ ] He's taking it from us. So, whatever you're saying about Ilhan Omar, I I will not allow you to use the argument that oh, she's made so much money from being in office. Trump has done a hundred times worse.
It's financial disclosure that she's not telling the truth how much money she made. Okay. She went from the 51,000 to 30 million, but then she also said it was a clerical error.
Fine. Trump refused to release his tax returns. Remember that? Yes. But he is he's also a citizen. She may not be a citizen. A naturalized citizen.
Mom, I can't believe you can't see this. This is clearly Donald Trump's racist attack on somebody who is not white, and somebody that he believes his base wants to see be deported. How did she make it through this entire election process, get elected, get sworn in, etc., etc., etc.? If she's not a citizen.
The last 2 to 3 years there has always been a lot of chatter about her marrying her brother. Which is not It's It's completely false. Mom, you believed that James Talarico was in an assailant in an an insane asylum.
No, I thought he was in a health clinic or having a nervous breakdown and I still kind of believe that. Okay, well that has been thoroughly debunked.
Okay. These stories that you hear on your Tik Tok and in your algorithm about Ilhan Omar married her brother James Tal had to go to the psych ward. None of it is true.
Okay, listen. If if she did not falsify She was a child. Okay, if she or her father Okay. falsify her age on citizenship, then fine. Stay. Run your next term.
Right. But if they did falsify that, then she's not a citizen and she should have never been allowed to run. Why do you think um nobody else is being raided? No no other members of Congress or the Senate or any government position, nobody's house is getting raided.
Um because they're probably US citizens and didn't come from Somalia in that year. Okay, right. So this is another thing that's like oh, she's Somali. It's racist. That's what this whole thing is.
Now, there's a lot of fraud in her state. What state? There's there's a lot of Somalian fraud Uh-huh. in her state that that our government right now is investigating.
Okay. Let's simmer down. In honor of Haley gallivanting uh I want to know where is your favorite place that you've ever gallivanted? Probably my backyard with my puppy dogs. Um when you guys were little, um I like going Do you remember we went to the Grand Canyon, stay for 5 minutes. I told your dad no, we shouldn't go, we shouldn't go, we're going to get snowed in.
Yeah. Did he listen to us? No, we went to the Grand Canyon. Um we were told by like 4:00 that afternoon that if we didn't leave by that evening, we would be snowed in by 3 ft and not be able to get out. So, we all kind of went out on the South Rim or somewhere, stood there. I had the video going and saying, we never should have come. You were wrong. We got back in the little woody van and left.
No, we stayed in the hotel. I think we stayed one night and left. Yeah, one night. I remember. Uh, the Grand Canyon and then uh, Sandia Peak. We went when you guys were little. We stayed in Albuquerque.
Mhm. You and Haley somehow both got ill and as we were swimming out in the swimming pool, you both [ __ ] yourselves in the swimming pool.
That's wrong. We both puked on the side of the swimming pool. Nobody [ __ ] themselves. Oh, I thought you [ __ ] Okay. Um, and then Cancun, of course.
Mhm. The dolphin adventure when you had a 101 temperature. I yeah. I remember that. Kind of describe that. Well, that was a trip from hell. There's no easy way to say it. We arrive at the hotel and I learn at the time of arrival. By the way, I'm like 30-ish at this point, I would say. Um, I I assumed I was going to have my own room, but you guys booked it. So, I find out that I'm sleeping with you and dad in a room.
I'm sleeping on and I'm sure this is why I got sick. I'm sleeping on a couch that is about 4 ft long. My legs are hanging over the edge. There's no way to get comfortable. You and dad are snoring in the bed like in opposition to one another. So, there's always an inhale, always an exhale. It was just a miserable [ __ ] trip, but I did then uh, you guys had booked swimming with dolphins and nobody in our family would do it. I yeah, I had like a 103 degree temperature and I was like, "Fuck it. I'll swim with the dolphin."
Yeah, And swam with the dolphins and you were sick. Yeah. Yeah. That was pretty fun. And then the last one Dad and I went to Cabo San Lucas and that was a lot of fun. Um I really liked it there. I liked picking up seashells and but what happened when we were there Haley was at home in Topeka
[snorts] taking care of Rudy. Mhm. And we get a phone call. I look and she said a tornado had gone over the house. So while we were in Cabo San Lucas the tornado ripped over the house in Topeka but it was not damaged.
Would you ever travel to somewhere that is not America or Mexico? Probably not. Why? I would be I'd be too afraid right now the way the world is. I'd be too afraid.
All right. Younger yes but now that I'm old I'd be too afraid. Well, we'll see if we can change that. I think it would do you a lot of good to go somewhere that's not America so that you wouldn't be afraid and you'd see that it's nice and fun to go to other places.
Okay. What were your uh summer downs? Uh I Recently I just went to um France and did something that was like one of the coolest things I've ever done. Do you know who Serge Gainsbourg is?
Uh-uh. He was a pretty famous French singer artist director writer like he did a bunch of stuff. And his daughter is Charlotte Gainsbourg who's like a pretty well-known actress at this point. And they turned his house which is just kind of like a little apartment into a museum that you can go through and listen on headphones to his daughter narrating like oh I grew up here and this is what my dad used to do and blah blah and this is where we found his dead body and you know all that kind of stuff. It was cool. It was very sad but also like fascinating cuz it the
place is like untouched basically. Um and it's now like a kind of national little monument thing. And of course one more thing. Um
Yeah. the red carpet with you. What year was that? We walked the red carpet. We walked the red carpet. and children. Yeah. Yes.
I mean, [ __ ] 15 years ago at least. Yeah. And I got to meet um What's his name? I always say No, Elon. Not Elon. Uh Elgort. The big tall guy. Um Oh god, what's his name? He was just in baby the um He was just in the car show, baby, where they steal the cars.
Oh, Ansel Elgort. Yes. I believe he's been canceled at this point. Um All right. He smelled good. He was nice. He smelled good. He was kind enough to get up and take a picture with me. I liked him.
All right. Um Haley Haley has so many gallivants. Oh my gosh, we could be on here like 2 hours with hers. And she's on one now.
Yes. gets back soon. Let's move on. We have three more topics. Let's try to get to them all. Trump this week posted videos of people getting killed. This week Trump tweeted multiple videos of people being attacked by big cats, including footage of the fatal attack in England at a zoo last week. The first video posted Tuesday shows the attack on William Chapman, a 23-year-old who died after entering a tiger enclosure at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. The 41-second clip shows the tiger repeatedly biting and clawing at him before he died of his injuries.
Trump captioned it, "Don't ever mess with nature." Minutes later, he posted a second video with no caption, a 24-second compilation of big cats, mostly lions, attacking and killing people set to upbeat music. Some of the clips showed signs of being AI-generated. Then he posted an AI-generated video of himself as Chapman wrestling the tiger that killed him to the ground and befriending it set to "The Lion Sleeps Tonight." When the White House was asked for comment as to why Trump would post videos of people being killed, there was no comment. The White House's rapid response account also shared the attack video, drawing comments calling it sick and disgusting.
Chapman's family has pleaded for people to stop circulating the footage. In a statement, they said they are devastated by their loss and that the spread of deeply offensive media content is causing them severe distress at an exceptionally vulnerable time. Mom, why do you think Trump posted videos of people being killed by animals?
I thought about this and then I'll tell you my answer in just a second, but the guy that does X's on me, go ahead, put the X down right now. Um I I thought, why? Why would he do this? The only thing that clicked in my brain is he's depicting himself as the lion.
No, he he posted a video of him He posted a video of himself wrestling the lion or the tiger or whatever that killed that guy in England.
I thought it was be both. that he was the lion going to take down, you know, a bomb Other man. Omar. Yeah, that's what I clicked in my brain. But it's an X person.
Yes, it's an X. The X man out there, go ahead, put an X down on this one. It's ridiculous. think like the posting of these videos is something that a president should be doing, let alone like just a regular sane person?
No, he's not regular. He's not a regular president. Um and like I said, the only thing I could think of is he's trying to say like I'm going to take all these people down. X X Yeah.
offer a different explanation. Horrific. Yes. He is a sadistic sociopath who thrives on other people's suffering. That family of the real guy who got mauled by that cat said, "Please don't post this footage." Obvious This is It's just happened. That family is dealing with all of this [ __ ] And he's just like, "Whatever." The most famous person in the world reposting it and laughing about it and then using AI to put himself in place of the guy to wrestle the cat and become friends with it making a joke out of it.
Chad I'm not that good um with technology and AI and all that. He is like 10 years something older than me. Do you really think he did that or someone else did it?
He posted it on his [ __ ] account. I know but do you think someone else did I'm not saying it's okay. I think it's terrible. It's an act.
it doesn't matter and it's not an ex like we've talked about these exes. How many exes do there have to be and how severe do these exes have to be? This is [ __ ] This is a crazy person. This is a sadistic homicidal [ __ ] psychopath does [ __ ] like this. And he has the ability to kill people. He's killing thousands of people kind of constantly in wars, drone strikes, all kinds of [ __ ]
Yeah, I couldn't believe it when I saw this one. I really I I just thought he was saying I'm going to take all these people down like Obamas, Clinton, Pelosi, Omar.
None of those people are in any of those videos. I know but he has I have seen chatter about he might come down on Obama and Clinton.
None of those people are even referenced in any of these videos. Okay, well that was just my brain the way I was thinking that. I got
This is him. He likes to see people suffering. He likes to see people dying. And so he reposted these videos and now he's making fun of this family who lost their son in this horrible [ __ ] event that happened and he's making fun of them.
Yeah, not right. And that's your president. You still support him. Right now I do. So you support Hang on. Hang on. So So support making fun of this family, making fun of this guy? Yes, you do. Yes, you do.
Yes, you do. No, I don't. You support a violent, sadistic psychopath who loves seeing people suffer and die. That's what you're doing. It's not the way I look at it. I look at it as he's our president.
is the way it is. And this is the the crux of our entire show here is right exactly what you said. That's not the way I look at it. But you don't look at it objectively. That is what's happening, and you're you're somehow seeing it a different way.
I don't agree with you on everything. A lot of things I disagree with you on. Should I just X you out right now and say you're not my son? I'm not going to talk to you anymore?
plenty of MAGA people do if they have liberal liberal kids. But that that's a completely different uh I know. You're not the president of the United States. I would
Wait, nor am I posting videos of people getting mauled by lions. I know. It's very different. a qualitative difference in our disagreement and the disagreement you have with him. The disagreement you have with him is like at a hardcore moral level. I don't think you have that with me. We have difference of opinions on political policies and even like kind of social movements and social policies in this country and stuff.
But I don't think you and I are you know, so unaligned in terms of like our view of humanity and that you should be good to people and golden rule and that kind of stuff. He is very drastically different from you on that. He is sadistic. He loves murder. He loves pain and suffering.
You know, think back about those other videos. Remember he was doing the ones where he was pooping on people out of the airplanes and stuff? I just in my mind I'm thinking, did he really do that or did someone else?
Mom, it doesn't matter. It's on his personal social media account. And he's not apologizing for it. Nobody's getting fired over it. He's not taking the videos down. This has been national [ __ ] international news. He's not taking the videos down. Nobody's changing the behavior. He continues to do this [ __ ] every week. So, whether it's the human printer is making these videos and posting them, or whatever, it doesn't matter. He is okay with it.
Yeah. Or he wouldn't allow it. Yeah. He enjoys it. He likes to see people suffer. That's the only explanation for this. I don't know, Chad. I don't know anymore.
Well, let me give you another example of MAGA violence. Monday night at a MAGA rally at the Covelli Center in Youngstown, Ohio, a woman who had been heckling the president was wearing a T-shirt reading "Release the Epstein files." Video shows a man in a blue baseball cap pushing her face down uh before a bald man jumped on her. She was then punched in the face and had her hair pulled. The violent MAGA crowd cheered and chanted "USA." Officers then removed the woman from the arena, while the man who punched her stayed inside and gave high-fives to the other MAGA attendees.
From the stage, the president mocked her, called her a paid protester and scum, referred to her as a fat guy, and said she needed to go on a diet. A person identifying as the woman posted later online that she was treated at a hospital, that her attackers tore out a chunk of her hair, and that she hopes to press charges. As of now, no one has been arrested or charged. Police say no assault report has been filed, and they're urging this woman to come forward so they can investigate.
Mom, do you think this woman at Trump's rally in Ohio deserved to be punched in the face? Of course not. Okay. She could come, wear her T-shirt, stand there. Once she started interrupting though, and interrupting the people around her, that's when it got violent.
So, you're saying it's her fault? Well, if she was just wearing the T-shirt, that's that's protest, that's good, that's fine. But, don't something? That's also protest. It's called freedom of speech. You might have heard of it.
But, interrupting to where she is interrupting people around her and interrupting Trump in the speech, that we've talked about this again, like, it's where you cross the line.
No. Where you cross the line. Fine. Mhm. She Let's say she crossed the line. Then, what needs to happen is security comes in and says, "We have to ask you to leave."
And that's what should have happened. standing there hit her in the [ __ ] face, and then Trump said, "Get her out of here. She's scum."
Yeah, okay, number one, the guy that hit her, yanked at her hair, all of that, they should have been taken out. Right, they weren't.
She And she should have been taken out. If she was interrupting so bad, she should have been taken out. Okay. If they harmed her, they should have been taken out.
They should have been charged, and Trump should never have said that. That's ridiculous. So, her Uh, what did he call her? A paid protestor, I thought.
Yes, and scum. I read everything that I just read to you said it. Yes. What I'm getting at here is you're making all these bizarre excuses for him posting videos of people dying at the hands of uh lions and tigers, and saying, "Well, it's some kind of weird metaphor about Obama." None of that is evident. You're making that up. It's a mental gymnastics that you're doing. Yes. There is nothing in any of those videos that says Obama or Biden or any of that [ __ ] Then, this happens at one of his rallies.
Somebody gets assaulted at his rally simply for wearing a T-shirt that says release the obscene files, a law he himself signed. but we were not there. We don't know the details. Was she heckling? Was she yelling out?
That doesn't matter. That doesn't matter. Why having a t-shirt on? That's fine. Why would that mean assault on her? if she's heckling or yelling out. You still cannot assault someone. That's a crime. So Trump witnesses this crime happen and then says, "Get her out of here. She's scum." Not, "Hey, we're going to stop this until everything is taken care of. Security, get that guy. Get her. Make sure everything's fine."
He does nothing to stop this violence. In fact, he incites more of it. He He essentially congratulates the guy, "She's scum. Get her out of here. Yeah, USA, USA." He enjoys it. He likes seeing people be assaulted, suffering. He likes it.
I think she went over the line. The guys beside her didn't like it. Then they did stuff they shouldn't have done. They all should have been taken out. And Trump should have never said what he said cuz he didn't know.
Okay. But he did say it. I know. He says it at different times when people heckle him. But all these X's that you just keep piling up, he shouldn't have done this. I don't agree with this. He shouldn't have done this. Why are you still saying he's your president?
Cuz he still is. Why? That we don't have all the details. She can peacefully protest by wearing that shirt, standing in there. She was peacefully protesting. She wasn't punching anybody.
No, but I think she was heckling to the point that people around her couldn't hear what Trump was saying. That people around her couldn't hear what Trump was saying.
Okay. Who gives a [ __ ] You can say what you want in this country. That is peaceful protest. It is freedom of speech.
What about interfering with the president's speech? Is that okay for her just to stand up there and yell out? Yes. Legally, yes. That is freedom of speech. Now, he can have her removed by security or whatever, and that's a a different thing, but that's not what happened. His crowd, MAGA thugs, hit her in the face. And there's no repercussion. They were not even taken out of the rally. They were allowed to stay there and high-five each other.
All of them should have been removed. All of them. Right, and they weren't. That's what I'm getting at. You keep saying like all of them should have been removed. I don't agree with this. Trump didn't remove them. He wants them there. Those are the people he wants to support him. These violent aggressors, this is the January 6th rioters. He needs people like that so that when he loses the next election or he gets impeached or whatever the case is that's going to get him out of office, he can say, "Rally up the troops. Let's do another January 6th."
Why are you blaming him when you could also blame the security people? If the security people saw that go down, they should have grabbed everyone.
Of course. I'm not saying that anybody did a good job here, but he's the one controlling this. He can't control it from up there giving a speech. That's just
Yes, he can. should have ripped him out of that rally. the most control of the entire situation. If he sees it going down,
[clears throat] all he has to say is, "I'm pausing my speech for just a second. Let's get the situation taken care of. Make sure everybody's okay." They get him out, okay? And now back to whatever. I don't get why you're not seeing that. All right, we have one more very important topic. Another mass shooting and no one cares. The community of Bend, Oregon is mourning after the 369th mass shooting of the year took place at an elementary school leaving three children and a teacher dead. Happened Thursday just before 1:00 p.m. at Silver Rail Elementary School. Police say a 16-year-old gunman shot his way through
locked doors and opened fire. The victims were children ages 5, 8, and 11, and teacher Megan Lambert, who was 25. A 7-year-old student and a 54-year-old teacher were critically wounded. Most of the victims were in special education classrooms. The shooter had attended Silver Rail as a special needs student, but was no longer enrolled in the district. Police say he used a pump-action shotgun his mother bought.
The attack [snorts] was cut short by Caleb Giaquinto, a father of two students at the school, who was carrying a concealed weapon. He followed the shooter inside and shot and killed him. Governor Tina Kotek called him a hero. Democratic Senator Ron Wyden asked how many schools must be shot up before Republicans agree to act and called for common-sense gun laws. Congresswoman Janelle Bynum said current laws don't go far enough to intervene. Others, including uh Governor Kotek and Senator Jeff Merkley, offered condolences, but stopped short of calling for new gun laws. Gun rights advocates are making the opposite case. They point out that an armed bystander ended the attack, and
they say gun-free school policies leave schools vulnerable. But, despite children being killed, there is zero movement in government to even discuss changing gun laws in this country. Mom, guns are the number one cause of death for children in America. Do you think our gun laws are working in this country?
Not when parents buy shotguns for their 16-year-old sons. Mhm. Now, this was just this was terrible. I have always stated though, I would like an armed guard at every school. Back in the '80s when I taught, we had drug dogs, and we had armed policemen right at the front of the school.
Mhm. Could it have been stopped if there was an armed gunman there? Maybe. No, it's I give praise to the guy that did have the gun and went in and stopped him. If not, he had 40-some rounds, 44 more rounds.
Yeah. Can you imagine that, Chad? How horrific that would have been? Of course. Glad that guy stopped him. So, thank God that guy did shoot him and there was also a teacher that threw the cell phone at him. Um there was another guy on the outside that saw him go in. You know, everybody was kind of in place to stop it except for the people that the two the ones that lost their lives.
It's just terrible. Mhm. So, what if just go with me here on this? This is what you always say to me. What if there was an armed policeman or just someone armed at that front door every effing day? Could that have got guy got in?
No, you just shoot that guy first and then you have another gun. Right. So, like How's that going to stop anything? mean bad guys are always going to have guns. So, if the good guys put their guns down everybody's going to get shot. And those poor children, I mean, I can't even really talk about them. I'm about ready to cry. I I don't know the answer.
You know, I brought up drones. We don't have The answer is pretty simple. Every other country in the world does it. Citizens should not have guns.
You tell me how you can take away everybody's gun in the United States and I would agree with you. You pass a law that says if you have Yes, you pass a law that says if you have a gun the government will buy it from you. You have until this day to bring it into some location where you have to turn over your gun. You get a fair market value for it and that's that. And if you are caught with a gun
All the drug guys all the drug guys all the guys that sell guns they're going to give it up and say, "Here you go."
guys The drug guys Mom, the drug guys are not doing school shootings. The drug guys are not doing mass shootings. The drug guys are killing other drug guys for sure, but they're not walking into a school and killing children. That is US citizens buying guns legally and then just taking them out and blowing the [ __ ] out of kids. That's what's happening every school shooting.
And it seems like two parents um it the the mother was the one that bought the gun for this 16-year-old son. So, parents should be held responsible, too.
But you're you're misunderstanding the bigger point. The problem we have in America is access. We have more guns than we have people in this country. That is bizarre. You don't think that's weird?
Not really. How Let me ask you, how many other countries do you think um have that same thing? I do not know. Are you going to Google it?
this up right now, yeah. This is estimated number of guns per capita. Okay? The United States. This is firearms per 100 people. We have 120 guns for every 100 people in the United States.
Wow, that is a lot, yeah. 392 million guns in this state in this country. Falkland Islands are next with 62.1 guns per 100. Yemen has 52.8. New Caledonia, 42.5. Serbia, 39.1. Canada is on this list at number seven, 34.7. So on and so forth. And then the numbers get lower and lower and lower and lower. And wouldn't you know it, the lower that number is, the less the gun violence is in that country.
Strangely, we have more gun violence than any other country and more guns. Isn't that weird? I just don't see people giving their guns up. I really don't, Chad.
If you pass a law that they have to, then they will. Maybe. I just it this is just horrific again. And the only way my brain lets me think about this one is that school needs to be totally secure, totally locked down. One person maybe at the front, one at the back with guns. I mean, they've even talked about teachers being able to have guns. That's very scary.
Um I would say trained trained professional that knows how to use the gun is at the front and at the back. More guns equals more deaths. That is very clear.
Well, as the bad guy came through, he would have been stopped right there and he wouldn't have shot the people that he shot.
you're wrong. If the bad guy knows that to get into the school and start shooting kids, I have to kill the guard out front, the guard dies immediately.
No, he's not going to get in. He will not get in cuz the guard is there to shoot him down. How's the guard going to shoot him down? It's just a person walking up. You walk up to somebody like you're going into the school or whatever. You're not going, "Hey dude, I'm going to shoot you." You just walk up to him, you pull out your gun, his gun's in a holster, boom. That's it. That's over and now you've got his gun, too.
That would not work. I do believe Somebody who is committed to doing a mass shooting, one guard's not going to [ __ ] stop them.
Well, one civilian did this time and Right, but he didn't know that civilian snuck in behind him and he didn't know that that was going to happen. This was like a uh huge stroke of luck at least for those other kids, obviously not for the ones who got killed. But we have this problem and for whatever reason, Republicans are just completely I mean, I know the reason. It's the gun lobby puts [ __ ] money in their pockets. It's always about money, but um nobody is willing to have this conversation that we have too many guns in this country and they should all be taken away. That is the
answer here. And lockdowns, those you know, we used to practice this when I taught school. There would be emergency lockdowns as a practice. The minute that goes off, you know, we're having an emergency lockdown now. You get in the classroom, lock the door. Kids get under the desk or in the closet. I I I It's horrific. I don't know. I feel bad.
But you're unwilling to change gun laws. I'm afraid if I put my gun down, the bad guy's going to get me. What bad guy?
guy would have got 44 rounds off on those kids. Mhm. I thank God that that guy took him down. Right. But again, you're unwilling to change gun laws.
No, I'm not unwilling to. I would listen to proposals. And I've given you one. You said no one has talked about it. Everybody's been talking about it.
Not in a substantive way. There's no change being made to any gun laws, not even background checks. Um if you could press a button tomorrow and get rid of all the guns in the United States, would you do it?
Probably yes. All of them. Okay. All right. But that How you going to do that, Chad? I'm just asking you theoretically if you're pro-gun or anti-gun.
I hate guns. They kill people. They kill animals. Mhm. But I feel like for defense, if the bad people got have the guns,
Mhm. then I'm Why just stand here and let them shoot me down? But like the idea that guns are used for defense is it happens so rarely. Even in this case, like yes, a gun was used defensively to stop this guy from killing other people. He killed five people. So, it's like even a gun for defense is completely ineffective. He did not defend those five people.
They're dead. Yes, but more could have been and it's just terrible. Sure, more could have been, but let me throw this on you. Guns don't exist in America, none of those people die.
But to take every gun away, I do not see that as realistic at all, ever. I Realistic to me is [ __ ] irrelevant, because it's thinking like that that makes it impossible for real progress to be made.
Okay, then you have to go Then you have to think security. If all the guns are not going to go away, then let's secure those schools down 100%.
And make them lock every door. Make the glass bulletproof. You're You're wrong in this, because think of psychologically what that does to children. Imagine going to school every day in what is effectively a prison that you have to go in and the big iron door locks behind you and there's barbed wire on the fence like You can't have kids growing up like that.
I'm not saying that. Yeah, you are. When I taught school, our front door was always locked. Everybody in, all the doors were locked. You could put bulletproof glass. Nobody The kids wouldn't know. No big deal. Lock that school down and have drills to lock it down.
Didn't Didn't he shoot through the locks? Didn't I read that? Uh please say 16-year-old gunman shot his way through locked doors. So, they did have it locked down. Yeah, it didn't stop him.
Yeah. Remember the principal down here in Oklahoma? He had to tackle the guy that came in with a gun. Yeah. So. Guns are the problem. And our culture that supports them is adding fuel to the fire. And the reason we have that culture is because our politicians are getting money from gun manufacturers, the gun lobby, the NRA, etc., etc. And at this point, it's a significant enough amount of money that none of our politicians are going to change these laws.
I just like I said, realistically, there's no way that everybody's going to give their gun up, I do not believe. So, I don't know the answer to this question.
all of the There's so many other other countries, like you have this idea that it's impossible. All these other countries, this is like um Here, let's just take for example, I'm just going to scroll down to the bottom of this list. Uh Christmas Island,
[laughter] zero guns. I don't Even Indonesia, Indonesia is .03 guns. Look up Uganda in Africa. I want to see how many there, because I've been told some stories by a friend there. Uganda.
Here's Rwanda, .5. Um Let me see if I can find Uganda on here. Because my friend that's talking to me about Uganda is saying, I mean, you do one thing out of line there, you go to jail for life.
Uganda is um .8 guns per 100 people. So, not even one gun per 100. They have 41 million people, and they have uh 331,000 civilian firearms.
That's what he told me. There was hardly any, but but what he said was, too, if you look crossways at a policeman, Mhm.
you're going to prison. Yeah, maybe. I don't Of course, but that has nothing to do with what we're talking about here. Um I'm just saying there are other countries where this type of like very stern uh you know, kind of structures on how you can get guns, who can have guns. These countries exist. It's almost all other countries. Again, we have 120.5 guns per 100 people.
That's a lot. The next closest country, the Falkland Islands, whose population, by the way, is 3,000 people, has 62.1. So, they're living They probably need the guns for hunting and [ __ ] I don't know. Um Yemen is kind of a big country, 28 million people with 52.8 guns per 100 people. So, that's not even one in for every person. We are over double that.
That's crazy. And we have the most gun violence in the world. Did you say we should go to Christmas Island? Is that what you said?
[laughter] That That was at the very bottom. I don't That was uh Where was it? Let's go to Christmas Island. Island is population 2,000 and nobody has a gun there.
Yeah. Um Not laughing about it. Sympathy to everyone in Oregon. It's terrible. Yeah. It's terrible. South Korea, 50 million people, .2 guns per 100 people.
Of course, they're afraid there. Mhm. Afraid of what? That they'll get killed if they look sideways or whatever. In South Korea? Mhm. You might be thinking of North Korea.
Oh, yeah. I'm thinking of North Korea. That's right. But I'm just saying like there are other big very first world countries that do not have this problem because no one has [ __ ] guns. There aren't school shootings in South Korea.
Write a bill up. Let's get it passed. Well, unfortunately, I'm not in politics. Um that wraps up our show. Thank you, Mom, for doing this with me. I love you despite the fact that uh you're having a hard time seeing reality here. Who do you think you're going to vote for in these midterms? Are you going to vote for some Democrats?
I'm still looking at those voting um the way they voted. But also to look a little bit more into this governor's race. Right?
Yes. And And really weigh the issues, though. I know you're hung up on trans sports and all this [ __ ] But, the bigger issues are gun violence now. I guarantee you all these Republican [ __ ] are taking NRA money and they ain't going to change gun laws at all. They don't give a [ __ ] if schools get shot up. They do not care.
Okay. The war It's guns, it's the war, healthcare, and ICE. Those are your big issues. Okay. Look at what they have to say about those things. And the economy, too. The economy's going to too. That That [ __ ] um your Senate candidate, whatever his name is, Hern.
Hern. Um that guy is a little Trump Jr. He doesn't give a [ __ ] about rising prices cuz he's worth like $300 million. He has built a McDonald's empire in Oklahoma. Um but look that [ __ ] up. And don't just vote Republican because they have an R next to their name.
I won't. at the issues and see who you agree with. I will. I love you, Chad. Love you, too. Gallivanting around, you better get your butt back safe.

Hey, hey. When you said that, um did you see the car that can fly? I remember you told me like maybe 10 years ago, we're going to have cars that'll be able to fly. Yeah, there uh there was one uh Elon Musk has made now where it like Is it fake?
It's just like an empty shell of a body of a car that you can't drive that. So, you think it was AI and not real?
No, it wasn't AI, but it's not like I don't think that's like a real car. Huh. It looked like it cuz it kind of like flipped, you know? I can't Okay, I'm going to have to investigate that one.
Investigate. Thank you for joining us. I'll see you tonight, 6:00 p.m. PDT. Bye.
