in the aftermath of the 2024 election America is even more divided than before half the country fears the end of democracy and the other half welcomes it as America inches toward the brink of authoritarian Rule now more than ever we must force ourselves to have the necessary conversation welcome to the necessary conversation I'm Chad culture with me is my sister Haley Pope and my parents Bob and Mary Lou of course we are now in the aftermath of Trump's stunning Victory a historic victory in terms of the scope and breadth of it we're going to get into all of that of course uh do you have any diddies mom or dad any rants um no you know I do okay but should we do my other thing at the end then what I have did you not see my text did you just send it I didn't see and we're all I only have 57% on my iPad so if we go black you'll know why but I think that that should uh okay I have like several diddies but I have the starting of a rap and I don't think it's going to get any to avoid any homes with with Trump signs out front okay she's in trouble she was released of Duties and fired she needs to be in jail okay tomorrow is November 11th it's Veterans Day we need to Salute Coast I mean we've always wanted to move out of Texas so that is inevitable it's just a matter of like how fast do we have to and can we wait you know however many years like I don't know what's going to transpire yeah we're going to get into that a little bit later I have a topic that I want to discuss which is what are the signs like what will throw the switch for you be like oh [ __ ] this is happening um California for what it's worth Gavin Newsome our governor has already come out and basically said he's rallying the lawyers to make sure that legally California is going to protect itself against whatever Trump might try to do federally so I do think Trump is not going to like Gavin Newsome very much and it's going to be a very public back and forth between California government and Trump over the it's gonna be very simple California is gonna lose all their Federal funding and new will be on his knees begging for mercy from Trump we see California controls most of the country's food no you're wrong oh okay it controls most of the country's fruit okay well there you have it uh I'm not moving anywhere I'm staying in La people eat in this country yeah come from the belt okay okay I'm gonna stay in California and see what happens Mom and Dad are you moving hell no in my rap it was Haley ain't moving and neither am I um Trump won the election so Harris bye-bye I didn't really answer the question if we're moving out of the country we've started looking at Vancouver and Scotland if we are staying in the country we're gonna move either Pacific Northwest or east coast mom's horse all right yeah let's get into this show shall we our first topic is how have your weeks been and I wanted to open this topic by telling you what happened to me literally the morning after the election as many of us do I wake up I look at my phone I go to Instagram and I see two posts literally on top of each other those are the first two things I see one is from Haley one is from you Mom literally back to back this is what I scroll through the first picture I see is Haley from the neck down in her Baker's apron dusted with flow holding a whisk towel over the shoulder and I'm going to read this entire thing that you wrote here Haley if you're cool with it the caption reads I honestly don't want to get up and go to work today I have too much on my mind to think about [ __ ] cookies but alas we'll be there I'm embarrassed at this country I'm embarrassed at this country I live in Americans voted in a criminal with the most racist misogynistic xenophobic campaign to date over for a woman it was proven last night just how depraved our country is I fear for my daughters for my queer friends for people of color for all of us including those who voted for Trump they have no idea what's coming and it's not just coming for us who voted blue it's coming for every one of their children for every one of their wives daughters sisters unfortunately we're all going to feel this mistake for decades with a red Senate and a fixed Supreme Court I fear the worst this feels different than 2016 more dread more fear we now have to brace ourselves for what comes next it will be the darkest hour for this country democracy is lost this isn't the America I want to live in then the very next post immediately under it mom was from you it is a uh kind of deep fried meme super neon colors a horse running through a pasture five American flag emojis it says let the Golden Age begin and Travis trit song is playing under it's a great day to be alive and you have captioned it only #g great day # USA # goldenage # 47 # horse # horses # USA hashtag now F you Chad to say the difference between these was clearly Stark and I thought that it painted a very good picture just in a a little snapshot of our family exactly what is happening in this country right now there are many people who are more scared than they've ever been for where this governmental system is going and then there are people on the other side that are like the horses are running free it's a great day to be alive one of those two sides must be wrong they cannot both be right and the next four years is going to Bear out to show us which of those is true um okay it what what's going on there Dad I'm pointing at who's wrong he's trying to point at you too that you're wrong and he doesn't even know how to do it so stop it all right well I just wanted to ask you Haley about this post um you say you have more dread more fear now than you did in 2016 I can't say you there you are I I don't feel that way but please explain that to me because I do think it's at this point anybody who's listened to the show and agrees with us is curious I think about like how are we going to deal with this psychologically emotionally can I say one more thing then haly can answer that go ahead the part where Haley said all of her words what she was saying she said that um how did it how what was the statement that a woman lost it was that yeah he had beat a woman a criminal with the most racist misogynistic xenophobic campaign to date won over a woman over a woman yeah why one over a woman the better candidate is the people you picked whether it's man woman or not no itre haly about a woman or a man that is all it's about if you look we'll just get into this it bleeds kind of right into the next uh topic the numbers let haly answer that question sorry go ahead Hy um I mean I think what's different this time around is that you know just acknowledging that it wasn't just MAA that voted for Donald Trump so there's a very large part of this population that voted for him and I find that disgusting and so kind of recognizing that this is now the country that we live in I had hope going into this election like surely enough people are smart enough to see through his [ __ ] do your research and [ __ ] know what you're going into and it's very clear how stupid America is it's very clear how hateful America is because you have to be a complete [ __ ] idiot or MAA which is also complete [ __ ] idiots to vote for Donald Trump thanks now no Mom Mom you got got no legs to stand on dad calls us [ __ ] idiots every show literally says listen go for it and you keep Pro and you keep proving the idea that you know not only is our entire government against people like me so is more than half of the country they don't want us here they don't want to see us here there's uh a fear behind I mean I I started receiving phone calls at 10:00 a.m. when we opened the day after election from Maga in my community harassing me I had to call the police um and it ensued all week long you [ __ ] won and you're still harassing so winners yeah and and you know I had people come in literally crying in [ __ ] tears I'm afraid for my black son I'm afraid for my queer daughter there is a a fear that that everyone feels now that didn't exist in 2016 and it's because we have a red Senate a red house a red Supreme Court [ __ ] Donald Trump he's hiring people like [ __ ] Elon Musk like the rich get richer you're just going to take it all and people are so [ __ ] stupid they don't see it yeah you know they think that the economy is going to get better but he's been touting tariffs for like the last three months I don't think they understand like they're so [ __ ] dumb they don't get what's about to happen well why is this stock market soaring in the first time in a long long time stocks going up well stock market has steadily been increasing and showing record gains for the past couple of months even and it's by the way this is all under bik that's be that's because the stock market knew what was coming sure okay so like but wait we're also seeing [ __ ] like project 2025 is [ __ ] real in Oklahoma somebody messaged me and said in Oklahoma like their superintendent or whatever who's like xenophobic he's like [ __ ] all the [ __ ] implementing Bibles in public schools like effective almost iMed no he's not she showed us the [ __ ] emails to parents of schools Donald Trump knows of it but he says he has nothing to do with it I've read that over and over and over it is effectively happening it's happening in Texas voucher programs now for public school women are dying on the [ __ ] table because they can't get life-saving abortions it is happening right [ __ ] now in my state I Googled whether that little Elementary that I taught out was going to be closed you want me to pull it up you want me to pull it up absolutely no the actual Elementary School just posted two days ago please [ __ ] save us we're having a large meeting and get together at town hall because we don't want to shut next year you're wrong you know you know what I think parents are afraid of getting their children's information pushed down their throat that they don't want so they're taking them out of school and the numbers are going down they're getting brainwashed they don't want that's not real going on you guys just make [ __ ] up Donald you're just like Donald Trump you make [ __ ] up and you just keep talking oh my god let's move into the numbers of this election now Trump got fewer votes than he got in 2020 by three million roughly you know why a lot of people didn't vote this year but guess what he won every swing state you know what I'm getting to it okay there aren't enough there aren't enough votes to put Joe Biden in the White House over the last four years are you having trouble trouble talking with your breath no one one every swing state but in some of those swing States they literally Ved abortion in their state constition does vot right there were 160 million votes the last election there about 140 or 50 this time where do all those votes go what does sense they exist Joe Biden is not the president huh those V were never there you guys can't even do [ __ ] simple math what doesn't make sense that they codified Democratic policies in their state constitutions how does that make sense you don't even know how to add stop and you're call to that you don't even know how to add you're just going to insult us for what reason yeah you don't know how to you don't know how started this show insulting us again you do not know how to add you never have okay somebody said this is gonna happen they said they would rather stop this show than go on just fighting with a family people that are completely divided by ideology how about you all admit you were wrong and that the the country's wrong about the election obviously we were our hopes for the election did not happen well just just [ __ ] admit it I just did okay are you satisfied sure now keep blowing smoke up everybody's ass I opened this entire show by saying Donald Trump won an unprecedented Victory do you acknowledge that that is true that I said that yes you're you're angry that I'm not admitting this but that's literally what the title of this episode is Trump wins you start right then you start right back up with okay first of all explain this to me yeah this is why I think you cannot add okay there were there approximately 150 million votes cast in this election that when there were 160 million votes yeah when Biden won the elction 180 I thought no it's 80 and 80 80 and 80 million okay where the other 10 million votes they didn't exist they never they didn't vote they're just people that didn't vote because they were turned off by all not true that's not true how many people do you think are in America they're about 320 million so the votes do exist well I I say million they're actually 340 million when you count the 20 million illegals got here let let me get into the numbers since you're talking about math and the numbers so this election Donald Trump got 71 talk well he didn't let me finish there are 320 million total people in this country half of them aren't of voting age all right so 150 million is the max you can have in an election and we had 160 million when uh Joe Biden became president which tells me it was all rigged he's not a legitimate president he should have never been elected and that is proven by the math all right Donald Trump won every swing state I'd say this election is rigged proven by the math well yeah it's not rigged this time it was some of States had Democratic Governors win their races but she lost what's gonna happen to the Democratic governor it's rigged Democratic they had Democratic Governors and like don't [ __ ] coded in their state con itu to abortion like Democratic Poli Massachusetts they're going to get all their Federal funding cut off and then we'll see how how fast they flip on you there's also that there's a video on Tik Tok going around of Rachel mat just showing Donald Trump literally saying five six times it I don't need your votes it doesn't matter I don't need your vote stay home we've already got the votes he did say that five or six times we're going to get to that and then also The Joe Rogan thing talking about Elon Musk with this app where he saw Trump win four hours before they even started tallying up well hell everybody knew he was gonna win yeah we knew that too we're gonna get to that to the possibility of gonna be an electorial Landslide was let me say one more thing that I'm gonna shut my mouth because y'all all you guys are doing is fight I received a map I've received it from like 10 different people and it showed by County where the votes were won and by whom she only won around the Democratic cities like the sanctuary cities those were her counties she won he won the whole state of those but she won those counties by a smaller margin than Biden did in 2020 and and look we're going to get to okay that specifically a little bit later I would like to talk about these numbers that I've been trying to get to Donald Trump got 71 .85 million votes this year Comm Harris got 66.9 in 2020 Joe Biden had 81.28 and Trump had 74.2 two so Trump did slide he lost three million votes roughly then if we go all the way back to 2016 Hillary Clinton got 65.8 five to Donald Trump 62.99 so you're looking at KLA Harris getting similar numbers to Hillary Clinton back in 2016 and obviously you know vastly underperforming by about 15 million votes uh give or take Joe Biden in 2020 the only and Trump won all the swing states on the C where'd mom go I have to Kitt so Haley who do you blame for this if I may ask Russian interference there were bomb threats called into Georgia from Russia we know that that happened I don't even know what to think because I'm not a conspiracy theorist and I typically like take [ __ ] you know for what it is but I do find some of those videos alarming of him you know we don't need the votes we don't need your votes that's [ __ ] suspicious and that he won all swing states that we have Democrats voted into State office but like somehow he won that state it just doesn't add up it doesn't make sense I agree so I mean like who's gonna look into it no one because the Democrats are terrible at this and they have it's going to be a peaceful transfer of power the theocrats like for me this election is like the Democratic part is done they are they had a candidate who seemed to have a ground swell support who seemed to have everybody behind her they had more money than Trump they had all of the advantages going into this with maybe the exception of like not having a primary Biden waiting too long whatever you can you can backseat or or Monday Morning Quarterback that [ __ ] all day long the fact that they were unable to win even a swing state to me is like you got to get rid of everybody they don't understand how to do elections you're running against Donald Trump in what as you're saying in your post was the most misogynistic racist hatefield campaign in the history of America [ __ ] criminal he's criminal which he's not now all that goes away see you guys so [ __ ] repulsive you guys are saying you think we're nuts but yet we're saying you guys are nuts and I promise if you would see that M she only won counties that were very populated in those S Sanctuary cities but that was the same as Biden she didn't win the black um men Vote or the Hispanic they're tired of the economy and they voted for Trump she did win those votes just by a smaller margin than Biden did and that's the the key difference here she the same places she won in all those counties are the same place as Biden won but Biden won by a larger margin so he carried those States it's just like and Trump the whole team knew this and you're telling me he's got Peter teal Elon Musk all these like genius evil billionaires in there with him Tech guys all they're looking at that and they're like all you got to do is like change this by about 2% in these counties Where She Went if you can shave off 2% of her margin there you're going to win the whole state and look I don't know I'm not saying that this was rigged necessarily all those things what's that really oh my here we go I'm not but I'm also saying it's a possibility for the same reasons that that I think you're talking about Haley those there are multiple clips of him before the election saying we don't need you to vote what politician says that se clip send me one I've never seen I'll send you the the r like f yeah there's like five [ __ ] occurrences yeah send them to me I've never seen him all I have seen is him going out saying vote see that's what's alarming to me you haven't seen half the [ __ ] that's come out of his mouth but you voted for him and all these terrible things that he's saying and all this really [ __ ] corrupt [ __ ] that he's been saying you're like I've never seen that why the [ __ ] have I haven't H interesting all right have you seen have you seen the blowback now where uh like an entire group of men now have a slogan your body my choice have you seen that how women are now gonna how women are now in [ __ ] danger of being sexually assaulted because of Donald Trump being a rapist in the White House oh my God hey literal literally people on campuses holding signs that say property that men own houses cars women slaves no have not seen that has started there is now a network of people sending uh text messages on random phones to Black universities that say you need to be ready at noon to get in the slave van your Plantation is group a guess what I did see that you're laughing at that dad that's not coming from laughing at that that's not coming from because the people that are saying that are just [ __ ] stupid that had to be coming from outside the United States or something you think it's [ __ ] stupid that an entire group of men are now rallying and their entire slogan is your body my choice you black people are terrified but Dad you're talking about I remember people setting cities on fire and stuff do you know why that happened yeah because a video came out of a white cop murdering a black guy yeah right and now that isn't murder was uh what was it oh manslaughter huh no it was murder he went to jail for that yeah he went to jail for manslaughter that time and now all of that [ __ ] is that these kind of attitudes uh misogyny racism all the things Haley's mentioning do you think these things will be better or worse during a trump presidency mom they will be much better better thank you Mom I think better really I think our whole country is going to be better you think it's going to be better but literally in the days post his election the stuff that Haley's mentioning the text messages to black people saying get ready for slavery and death threats the male students on campuses holding signs that say women are my property you think that's better I think it's temporary and it'll go away okay um interesting the outrage that they're uh spewing right now is totally misinformed miscalculated and in two to three months it won't even be a thing you won't even remember you talked about this I don't know if that's going to be true let's move on to Trump's cabinet I'm pretty sure it's gonna be true okay and I was pretty sure we were going to win the election so I'm going to go on my my Rec record all right um Susie WS a Florida Republican strategist and the woman who basically ran Trump's campaign has been named know you know her M name is uh I did know this I read it she's a daughter of Pat simmerl yes that's correct yes uh Susie Wilds a Florida Republican strategist and the woman who ran his campaign has been named as his chief of staff this is the first woman to ever hold that position in American history so Trump is a feminist we can all agree just kidding um some people are talking about Elon Musk being put in his cabinet and whether Elon Musk is in his cabinet or not he's in his immediate sphere of influence so is Peter teal these are both giant Tech billionaires who want zero regulation in the industries especially AI that they are trying to move forward in now do you think it is a good idea to have a billionaire president surrounded by a group of billionaires who will force him leverage against him to start writing laws or weakening laws to make their Industries regulation free do you think that's a good idea is going to no one is going to force president Trump to do anything that he doesn't want to do why would you he will want to do it because he will make money to pay him he is not like Camala Harris that has things in her ear and is being told what to do she's she was bar the puppet of Obama you're right he's a [ __ ] criminal he's a fraer he's a rapist won will do anything for he already has been convicted of 34 felonies idea that you think the idea that you think Donald Trump gives a [ __ ] about you or anyone else isse it all okay Donald Trump doesn't give a [ __ ] about you or anyone else oh I'm I'm I'm just asking this question of you Mom and Dad do you think it is a good idea to have a president that's a billionaire and his closest in Inner Circle all be billionaires do you think they have on the planet do you think they have the best interest of the regular person in mind or do you think kind I think ultimately yes these people will do more good for a human race than anything why does it matter if you're rich or poor because when you're that rich ideas to have them near you I'll give you a good example it's called Russia they have what is known as an oligarchy it is Putin at the top I know what it is you don't have to explain it to me all right I'm going to anyway then why can't recognize the parallels there is no parallel it's the exact same thing happen TR Donald Trump is not Putin about his secretary of state she's not a billionaire no I'm not of course there are going to be some people in his cabinet who aren't mean but the way Russia operates is it's Putin and then he's got about five or six of these billionaires who control one or another Industries in Russia the metal industry the oil industry food what's that I said good for them this isn't Russian no but that's what he's trying to line this up to be no he's not that's where you're wrong you don't know what you're talking about I've never heard of that now stuff out there look do you think the average billionaire do that's hilarious do you think the average billionaire understands what life is like for anybody who doesn't have a billion dollars for anybody who doesn't even have a million dollar a lot of billionaires understand that you know why because billionaires make a lot of money but they lose a lot of money at one time in their lifetime they go up and down up and down and they pay taxes father know who was poor who was poor that you're talking about your father know were both poor when they started out and they and they made all nobody cares about them nobody gives a [ __ ] we're talking about Trump you just asked me who and I just gave you two prime examples no I meant who of the people in Donald Trump's Circle were born before because the answer is no one they were born with [ __ ] diamonds in their pockets or in his case emeralds oh my God yeah Trump himself was given whatever that [ __ ] like $5 million in quotes loan from his dad when he turned 18 they don't know anything about Real Americans they don't know anything about what normal people go through just be quiet let him talk let's talk about about the economic impacts here um the immediate impact is the stock market has been surging since the election Dow Jones and S&P 500 have seen their best week this year but I mean I think that has something to do obviously with uh Trump coming into office and Industry is being like deregulation is on baby we can [ __ ] everybody over now but this is also coming at the tail end of a historic record-breaking increase in all stock markets under Biden as well so it could be a little bit of the the upward Trend Haley what do you think the economic impact on America is going to be of this Trump presidency especially if he does put in place these tariffs that he's been talking about for the past three months GNA be awesome you know I don't than you Haley I don't typically like just wish ill will on people yeah but I feel like but she's going to in the next year everybody's gonna realize [ __ ] we made a mistake because you're going to be paying double for all of your groceries you're going to be paying double for all the [ __ ] that you want to buy online are you kidding Haley oh my God see they don't even know they don't even know what's coming so it's almost and so Russia is going to steamroll Ukraine Putin's plans are to take back that entire region and make it part of the old USSR he wants to reestablish that do you believe that will be a good thing to give Putin more power in the world and do you think Trump might even Aid Russia if he's if he's taking power away from zinski and giving it to Putin that'll be the best thing that ever happened in this world because all all zinski is done take billi billions of our money and stuck it in his [ __ ] back pocket made my biggest fears is that we align that we're the new Big Bad Russia CH like I'm terrified that we are the new big bad and so it's like if I move out of the country how [ __ ] far do I have to go to get away from Russia for starters but like I can't [ __ ] say I don't want to be part of that [ __ ] I I'll say this go to Mexico go I you know I I think a lot of people are going through this right now and you know trying to figure out like how how should I react how should I political landscape is going to look like but I think for a while we're [ __ ] that said I have kind of vowed to myself to not do what I did in 2016 and to kind of check out from it a little bit we're going to do this show if you guys would have still keep doing it every Sunday I do think right now what we're doing this conversation we're trying to have is like more important than it's been in the past two years because we're entering this phase of America that is going to be absolutely [ __ ] insane and I think continuing to talk to each other is important because we're already starting to see have only really grown up in the United States since age zero they know nothing else this is where they live should they be deported they need to become US citizens then they can stay what's wrong with that suburb called Aurora that they have taken over apartment building complexes that the Venezuelans are there with machine guns and they won't let any Americans in that's where I would start and I would take I wouldn't even take the um National Guard I'd take in like R soldiers like hit squads get the [ __ ] out of here you don't belong here you take in hit squads I would take in people that sounds remarkable like who who had these are from Venezuela what what politician had private hit squads a private military police force who was that oh it was Hitler um that is something that's whose political Rivals do you think he's going to put in jail I don't get he has openly said that's one of his goals yeah and you know what I think he is going to uh pardon both Biden and Hunter and they're the most illegal pieces of they're not convicted of anything for what they did he's convicted he's he's gonna pardon himself do you think that should be allowed yes so you do believe he's above the law I think he's going to get our country back where it needs to be he's going to make the law count I just watched him Meet the Press he answers no questions he will make yeah he's make accountable do you think the President should be able to Pardon himself from convictions I don't know the answer is no the answer is no do you believe any us citizen is above the law or should it apply equally to everyone well if every citizen is above the law then we don't have a government I agree with you so there is one citizen right now who is above the law that's Donald Trump do you think that's fair to the rest of us he won the election he's not above the law no he is all of the said that he's been convicted 34 times yeah he should have been sentencing is now gone he should have been in prison before he ever got the chance to run I agree he should be in jail hang on a minute dad's back there screaming that I'm a blowhard all of those convictions the sentencing didn't happen they postponed the sentencing so that it wouldn't happen before the election now the election has happened and there will be no sentencing right that has dissipated so talking about being Above the God I just hope that it's not as bad as we all think it is and that that hope I guess allows me to look at this a little differently at least than I did in 2016 and not flush two to three years of my life down the toilet watching Rachel Mt if you're gonna get off I can't do that yeah like it directly affects me my kids everyone in my bakery literally every day like I have to pay attention to Texas legislation like every day what are they going to do now sugar bear says if Chad you're getting off all networks and all you know TV and all that how are you going to do the podcast if you don't know what's current I'll know what's current I mean I'll I'll see what's happening but I'm not going to spend hours a day watching the news like I did in 2016 I will get the pieces of information that I ass out and then she'd be done baking and we'd leave done baking why why would I put her back in that situation where not your decision first of all but what it's not your decision to put her wherever going to do and uh I've had groups reach out to me about do you know places that are safe for Trans people to eat in your area you know like it's uh there's a it's there's a thickness to the air and um are you I'm still processing I think because I was sad and now I'm angry and I know there's like a a rationale that's going to happen at some point like you can't just cut run you got to fight uh because typically that's who I am you know I I I feel like I'm on the right side of history and in a time like this where you have to you have to pick sides I feel like I'm on the right side you know you you go through history and you see things like the Holocaust and you have to ask yourself who am I in that scenario and and I feel like I'm on the right side and so do you [ __ ] flee or do you
