in the aftermath of the 2024 election America is even more divided than before half the country fears the end of democracy and the other half welcomes it as America inches toward the brink of authoritarian Rule now more than ever we must force ourselves to have the necessary conversation welcome you doing itead Chad I thought you were going to do it oh welcome to the necessary conversation we are recording today on Super Bowl Sunday and we have made a pack ahead of this uh podcast today we are talking no politics we're going to see if we can control ourselves we are and not talk politics you mean you even though it's been a very exciting week and we could say several several really good things that have happened this week but we can't because today is no politics that's right so so listeners me we can't have a question from a listener because those are all about politics that's right well yeah if you do have a question send it to the necessary conversation pod gmail.com in a one minute or shorter audio or video format now Shall We Begin by discussing the flurry of text messages emails and phone calls I got starting at 6:00 a.m. oh yes in fact that was my number one thing I was going to apologize to both you and Haley thank you we have something today that involves our horse our animals that we dearly love and there is a very close friend that was moving shinese shelter for us his shed and they have gone back and forth on times and and I don't know it wasn't miscommunication they just didn't know how long it was going to take to unassemble the shed then to get it loaded then to take it to the new barn and so at first I asked Chad and Haley if we could podcast at a different time today and they both agreed yes then I had to ask him can we go back to the original time Haley said yes right away Chad now on a Sunday morning if your father and I ever die Haley you will not be able to get a hold of your brother before noon on a Sunday not if I'm literally asleep before noon you were text messag me and called me at 6 am that was the first call between 6 a.m and 12 you had four text messages you had 12 your time that's 10 o'clock for me okay anyway he did what time do you wake up I set my sleeping schedule according to what I have to do the next morning yeah important call no he doesn't need to get it spam spam spam is calling all right he's getting called by spam if I know that I'm going to a podcast for example with you guys at 10:00 a.m. I wake up at 9:00 so that I can set everything up get all the monitors all the things that I need to do to make this podcast work so I give myself about an hour to eat breakfast kind of wake up whatever I do that for everything if I have any meeting if I have anything I have to do the next morning I'm waking up an hour before that no more that also dictates when I go to sleep the night before because I like to get as much work done as I can so last night this is Mr OCD junor I guess I don't know yeah and your dad was getting all irate because well I thought we were doing this I thought we were doing that back and forth you don't do that to OCD schedule people but anyway I apologize I'm not it has nothing to do with OCD I get as much work as I can get done in a day done and that means staying up to the last possible minute to try and get seven hours of sleep for the next day so I set my alarm according to that my phone is off during my sleep except for playing My Little cricket noises and uh that's it so you're never gonna get a hold of me if I'm asleep well you need an emergency number then that we can call because important absolutely not wait you put on you put on Cricut noise to sleep yeah I put on like a fan noise yeah I used to put on F wave stuff but Laura can't sleep with it so we had to switch to crickets okay yeah moving right along today oh [ __ ] today is a Super Bowl let's talk about that very quickly great this is the 59th running of the Super Bowl we have the Kansas City Chiefs this would be a three repeat right yeah playing the uh the Eagles the Philadelphia Eagles Chad yeah who do you think might win today because we Chiefs will win because Travis Kelce is going to propose to Taylor Swift after the victory and the Super Bowl needs that narrative to occur I predict there will be some bad calls all in favor of the Kansas City Chiefs uh if there not just already like in a runaway domination of the game I I feel the officials will help them win right cuz we're doing this four hours five hours before the game Haley who do you think might win the game today so Conrad is a Die Hard Chiefs fan like always has been his whole life so I want them to win for his sake I know he's really hoping that happens um I know momes like got a little trumpy like in the news a little uh so they cannot like that's I can't help it that was really disappointing um yeah you can help it like I have a love hate for tlor Swift you know you cannot talk politics stop it I'm talking Taylor Swift now I have I very much have like a love hate for Taylor Swift so um I don't know I just lately like I I do I love Taylor Swift but like yeah like you know billionaire biggest platform in the world like kind of doesn't say [ __ ] just building onto her her 17 million mansion I don't know like it just feels I watched um this this YouTube video this week that was it was this woman talking about celebrity and what has happened to it since 2020 and she kind of pinpointed this moment I'm sure you remember it during Co when galgadot and all those celebrities saying imagine in that video and it was like super cringe and everybody hated them she kind pinpointed like that was the moment celebrity died and now not only do we not care about their [ __ ] nobody's watching the Oscars or the Grammys no one cares about any of that we actively hate these people because they're so far removed from the plight of the common person and the the plight of the common person is getting worse by the second but they are completely unaffected and sit in their I Ivory Towers and kind of like talk down to us basically Swift is part of that we were watching the gramys what we were watching dad said wasn't the question who do you think's gonna win yeah and then what happens is a conversation this is a conversation anyway anyway the we watched the Grammys and I think that was kind of like yeah we are watching the gramys and you know this is hot off the heels of like La is on fire they're arresting immigrants in the streets like all these things are happening we cannot politics you have two strikes I'm talking about Taylor Swift on three Chad's gonna like you're out of here so listen Happ happens listen so I'm watching the Grammys and then I just had like a sick feeling because you know Taylor Swift is sitting there like getting drunk and having a great time and everybody's like crying because they're not winning their Grammy and all this [ __ ] Beyonce's got like a 100 Grammys now and everybody in that room is a multi-millionaire if not close to being a billionaire not every body the Celebrity Big famous people are but there's plenty of people in quotes in that room they're just regular there's people in that room who you know what I mean all the bigname celebrities in that room and they're like begging the public to give money for aid for LA and I'm thinking like if everybody who had 20 plus million just [ __ ] kicked in a couple sitting in that front row like you'd be good you'd be a lot better off than you are some did Charlie XCX donated $25,000 or something and she did it to match some other singer and blah blah blah so there's R did that too like yes she match sorry chavel rone did that and Taylor Swift has donated a lot of money to a lot of causes I'm not saying that she doesn't have some good going on but like there is just something so [ __ ] so who wins disconnected um I think it's going to be the Chiefs okay Bob your turn who would who do you think's gonna win the game Eagles all right Dad saying Eagles I like the Chiefs a bunch because a three because of three repeat I like that but I think the Eagles are gonna get them maybe well we'll see but uh Haley brought up an interesting point about the Grammys I had that as a subject so I just wanted to go down the the big Awards which were uh mom and dad what are your reactions Haley what are your reactions Beyonce wins album of the year for cowboy Carter mom ridiculous why is that because there was there were other country people on there that know how to sing country that's why and she doesn't what should have won not you're not this isn't the best country album this is the best album of the year that we're talking about right now right Lany Wilson Laney Wilson was on there okay that wasn't nominated for bet can you just list the best album of the Year nominees no because we didn't watch Taylor Swift was it Taylor Swift we didn't watch the not for best album God damn it I'm just gonna look him up I'm I know travel rone was in there it was not just hang on you probably had a sabrinaa carpenter or Taylor Swift yeah Sabrina Carpenter was one she sang the song sang her song anyway everybody online said she shouldn't know one that was ridiculous that was just because her husband went up there the last time ripped it out of Taylor Swift's hand said you're not deserving of this W not Jay-Z so here are the nom ations for the best album of the year it was Beyonce for cowboy Carter Andre 3000 for new blue Sun Sabrina Carpenter Charlie XX Jacob Coler I don't even know who that is Billy ish and Chapel rone Oh Billy ish too Jacob CER is a an autistic music Sant huh okay kind of like Charlie poth or um okay there's another one John Bap yeah ask you this Mom and Dad song of the year not like us Kendrick Lamar thought I didn't get to try him in you just skip right over me sorry what you think what do you think about Beyonce Absolut no absolutely not name four [ __ ] songs on the album you can't the best album of the year in my opinion either belong to probably Chapel rone she was literally a cultural phenomenon biggest crowds of like la la paloa or whatever like over 100,000 people just there for her Chapel rone all the way that should have won okay interesting I don't care about any of this I learned that this year I haven't watched the Grammys or any award show still do no I still really love I love music for good things it what it told me was the music industry at the very least is still G to be a little woke you know it's still gonna be like Kendrick's gonna win beonce is gonna win huh x what you said woke we cannot talk politics not politics that's social that's the our it's politics politics okay fine I won't say it okay let me ask you this now what about Kendrick Lamar winning song of the year for not like us this is a song that he created during the midst at the height of a rap battle with Drake especially yeah and that was during the summer that song was hot in LA and all that and yes he's going to be the Entertainer at the Super Bowl I do I like his raps um I like his songs but they said that probably Taylor Swift might come out this I like I like Kendrick Lamar I do I like his music however he should not have won best song again I don't believe that it was the best song in the year I you have to look at like I think culturally how it affected up when it's okay yes I know it was big however what go ahead I'm just making facial reactions to your blasphemy yeah no um I liked it but it wasn't my pick for best song I would say it's the best pick in my opinion for song of the century maybe Millennium maybe past two millenniums that song it was part of this rap battle it was like the killing blow in this rap battle it was also the an amazing song that has so many uses he's going to sing it at the godamn super and you can take that to mean like if you're a Chiefs fan the Eagles aren't like us you can take it on that rudimentary level it also is a form of social protest yeah I mean I know we're not talking politics but there will be strike two you both have two stri social protest is not politics drag his [ __ ] in we were supposed to talk about family stuff today and we haven't we have 45 minutes left second we're gonna get to it just hang on one second and let me make this we've already been on here 20 no we've been on here for 13 minutes 13 minutes 57 seconds 13 minutes 57 seconds I care who's your favorite band who's your favorite band dad Grand Funk Railroad were they nominated this year F you both that is so mean look at them laughing what's your favorite song that they sing what happened to little riverband Phoenix flly of the Phoenix what happened to little River Band I thought that was R I like Little River Band but Grand railroad is my favorite you asked what my favorite was I like changed D in the wind I got my favorite song Dustin um okay let's move along I have a bunch of questions here that are non-political mom do you have some yeah I thought we were did you not see my text messages or emails probably not because you were sleeping that's correct um what what is one of the best what do how do I want to say this in your lifetime the most happiest moment in your lifetime ever Bob could you tell us yeah uh the day I Met Your Mother at a wrestling tournament okay paint the picture for us well I just finished wrestling your mother was a cheerleader and we sat next to each other sorry in the bleachers yeah and that was first time I ever talked to your mom I just finished wrestling I was 17 and she was 15 what yeah so when you were 18 she was 16 that's statutory statutory he corrupted me I didn't know what was going on okay and it was his happiest moment the moment of corruption Chad no Chad yeah what was your mother no I get it so if you could only name one thing the happiest moment of your life just one thing it was either when I got George Brett's autograph as a little kid or when I got the call that my TV show had been picked up to series by NBC it was one of those too I think Haley the happiest moment of your life I don't have one singular moment um I can tell you the happiest time in my my life was when I had all three kids and I was a stay-at-home mom and I got to be with them every day I that is like I look at my life up to this point and like that specific chapter in my life I don't think will ever be beat in terms of contentment and happiness and it can never be brought back either that's right yeah I literally had to like grieve that I had to grieve like there was a point where Harper went to kindergarten and they were all out of the house and I had like a mental breakdown and beg seub to have another kid and he was like we literally can't afford it um so I had to like grieve this sense of like I'll never I will never have that again yeah uh so you know like I've had to Mo forever time doesn't exist all of your experiences are happening continuously forever and they have also never happened both are true okay okay yeah I understand what you're saying I do yeah and I I can't lump one thing but there's three and you know what they are I'm sure you do you and Chad are the greatest gift in my life that I've ever got and the day that you were handed to me in the hospital I can tell you how the air smelled I can tell you how each one of you smelled it's still in my brain it always will be and then the day that I married your dad so those three I smell you smelled kind of like I don't even know how to describe it fuzzy gray like Hospital blankets Haley probably because I was in a hospital blanket that might been the hospital blanket you were smelling it was Air Force hospital and then Haley was more baby lotion fluffy puffy pink that's how you both smell okay do you have synesthesia I smelled pink yes I do have that okay let's go on to number two this the worst day wait a minute I got a question I want to ask yes I have my own list of questions I've prepared as well my question is simply this what do you think is the greatest invention in human history Haley um invention you asking me I'm asking all of us yeah if you got an answer computer the computer it's a good one mom maybe cell phones okay good one Haley I don't I don't know look at her face doesn't know you're both wrong the answer is the written word without it we do not have technology we do not have the computer we do not have the cell phone we do not have any piece of what is going on in humanity contemporarily it is the written word thank you very much okay moving on what is is the day that was the worst ever in your whole life from the minute you were born to This Moment In Time the worst not day I guess another moment the worst moment in your life that it's like fright in your brain you remember it to this second this moment and you could like almost throw up over it that bad God I for me it's probably a tie between two things one is the day putty our childhood cat got ran over by a truck and I witnessed it she survived it uh miraculously but I remember that moment just being filled with rage at the people who hit her and uh you know being scared that she was going to die the second one was probably when I was going through cancer treatment I had lost a lot of weight and was looking like a living skeleton but it didn't really it didn't hit me quite yet until one day my friend Amy who you know came over and I opened the door and she looked at me and just started crying and I was like uh this is [Laughter] bad yeah those are probably my two worst moments yeah what do you got what you got [Music] wor like that I can on the spot think of there are two um when I remember where I was and everything we were in Colorado on like a family trip with CB's whole family um you called me and said Nanny died I remember that yep I was on a date when that happened yeah that like ended me uh and then rough I agree the day that we had to put Duff down he was like our first dog I it literally like took my breath away yep mom what you got worst moments your worst moment when I had to leave my dog in the farm and I never saw him again your Dad should be in therapy over this he won't go his mother made him leave his dog that he absolutely loved and slept in the dogghouse with out on the farm when he was a little boy made him leave that dog there when they moved into town yeah for some neighbors to take care of and the dog got ran over and hit like what three or four weeks later and died yeah it's terrible and my worst moment was uh May 28th two uh not 2000 yeah 2010 I got a phone call it was 8:30 at night and I said to the lady on the other end of the phone what and she said it again she said your mother just died uh she died peacefully in her sleep we went in to talk to her and she was dead she is PED but it didn't I couldn't register that in my brain so I passed the phone to Bob I said what did this lady just say and then Bob told me and I think at that moment too I felt like I'm an orphan now I have no parents and that's how you will feel you feel like they're gone everybody's gone now it was ter let me ask you this on the back of that you guys are a Christian do you believe in heaven yes we do we've told you yes I do believe she's there you'll see her I believe I'll see her again I do but at that exact moment in time when they tell you they're no longer on this Earth with you we had seen her two weeks about two and a half weeks prior she was in a nursing home back in Kansas and oh gosh I can't even H talk oh I remember when we left that day I I started to walk way down the hallway and you know I said goodbye said I loved her and I started walking down the hallway and then I thought stop take 10 steps back look at her again and I did and I looked at her for the last time I gave her a thumbs up she said I love you I said I love you too and then I walked away something inside me said go back look at her one more time and we were planning to come back in a week yeah that thing inside you was your future self already knowing what was going to happen time doesn't exist you you had you've already experienced that in a future version of yourself and it was echoing back through the chronological progression to make you well I have a lot of those all the time that tell me what to do and I do it and then I feel good about it exactly correct I had talked with her that day at 1 in the afternoon or no it was about 2:30 and it was a quick little talk and she said I've got to go John's here he's got my medication I need my pills I've got to go so she's waiting on her pills interesting yeah so that is weird I have moments like that there was a time where we're supposed to get on a plane to fly to Vegas for like our anniversary and I can't explain why but I said we have to cancel the trip and Ceda was like you're [ __ ] crazy like we're going to lose $300 or whatever and I was like I like I begged him I said like we literally can't get on this plane and the next day we got a phone call that his grandma um was was in the hospital dying and like this was your last day to try to [ __ ] see her before she died so you got yeah yeah so we got to go say goodbye but it was like I can't explain it I can't tell you why I thought that I can't yeah I have those time my next question do you believe in psychic powers mom yes but I've got one more of those kind of stories my sister this one we were talking had called me and said we're going to do a girls thing down in for Des uh fort Fort Walton Beach and Dustin area if you fly in at midnight on this day I'll pick you up it'll be uh my sister Missy me and I think was Stacy in the car yeah and I had a weird feeling I talked to Dad about it and dad was like go have fun go but I just had a weird feeling not to go and then they ended up in a terrible car right terrible with my sister driving yeah so I didn't go I had you believe this was a premonition some kind of Clairvoyance hello one last story real quick now that we brought my mom up go back then we'll go back to what you said my mother met your father Bob way before I ever knew him I was not born your mom I mean dad's mom your grandma used to live across the alley from my mom and dad so my mom and dad would see her they'd wave hello hello one day my mom went out to the trash can to dump trash and Evelyn came out to say hi and had a little blue thing in her arms my mom said what's that she said well come here she said look we just adopted Bobby this is Bobby John what did he smell like so my mom peaked in and she said he had the C cutest little dark eyes and he was smiling from ear to ear and had a twinkle in his eyes and was the cutest baby she'd ever seen that's what my mother said my mother has always said that to me that story wow and then um you know I wasn't even born yet so my mother saw Bob before I was ever born and thought he was the cutest little guy all right little guy so let me ask you about psychic powers you believe they are real yes what do you think the extent of them is do you think telekinesis is real I don't like psychic psychic powers to me is just like knowing things before it happens I guess yeah I have feelings like don't do it do it don't do dad do you think psychic powers are real I think some things I I know that I've been there before like de you know when something happens it's like I've already lived through it once mhm so I guess yes you think you're experiencing psychic phenomenon yeah I I can imagine like what do yeah do you have an example that you've been there before done it before or yeah it's like you'll have a premonition about something and then a week or two later it happens it happens do you have an example of that I'm trying to think not not readily handy but all right think about it Haley I don't know poers real I don't know I H I don't have like Crystal Clear premonitions or anything I just kind of I always project so like six months out I see myself like doing this thing and six months later like I'm doing that thing but I've always just kind of thought like it's me just self-propelling and and wanting to achieve and you know like you can't stop me if I put my mind to it type deal um but maybe it is a little bit of like a psychic premonition I don't know um I definitely have Deja Vu and it's just mundane things it's like ordinary moments in time but I swear to God like this very thing like I'm scooping these cookies and she just said that and the phone rang and I'm like this literally has already happened it's like moments of just mundane everyday [ __ ] that type of thing in terms of talking about Clairvoyance or psychic powers premonitions allowing you to see the future etc etc we know time is relative uh Einstein proved this in a theorem but there are practical applications for it as well like GPS satellites for example because they're in orbit further away from the mass of the Earth time affects them differently it moves a little bit faster for them than it does for here us here on Earth and for those GPS satellites to work there's actually an algorithm that runs on them that corrects that time difference so it has to slow down how the clocks move on them and the the same is true of anything this is just how we can perceive it in an example on Earth but we know the faster you travel uh to approaching the speed of light the slower time moves for you etc etc so if that's true which it is you have to imagine that there's somewhere in the universe where time is moving so fast that everything has already happened and there's somewhere in the universe where time is moving so slow that nothing has ever happened we are somewhere our experience anyway on kind of the linear scale is somewhere in the middle of that but that just means we're living through something that at least somewhere in the universe has already happened that reminded me about your time travel article that got you so much Fame tell them about that I don't even know what you're talking about time travel article that was your flash of f oh the national Inquirer no it was for the weekly world news I used to write for this CID called the weekly world news and I wrote a all my articles were obviously fake but I wrote one about a guy who got arrested for insider trading on the stock market and he said I'm a time traveler I knew about all this [ __ ] no no no no and that article uh went out American Media was the company who published that magazine and they would sell these articles to like Yahoo news and stuff and at some point in the early 2000s that article went out on Yahoo News everybody thought it was real and I had um Agents from like the different t agencies out here in La calling me and being like we need to get the life rights to this guy's story and I'd have to be like it's not real you dumb [ __ ] um that was a fun moment all right let's move on shall we I have this question for all of you if you could be born speaking of time travel in any time oh no what time what era what decade What place would it be if you could have been born anywhere anytime I don't know like can we like future time whatever that's a hard one I don't know I mean I'm I don't want to go back like same I don't I don't there's nothing good back there so I guess you know maybe like a couple thousand years into the future yeah I'd go probably a million years into the future I'm fine where I'm at because I've met your father and this is where I want to be well so you could take him yeah if I could take him with me yeah you can go wherever you want together then I go into the future because I'm just getting the hang now of computers and things like that so I would like to be better with technology I'm not bad I mean I'm on I'm on Ticky I'm on Tik Tok I'm on Snappy I'm on Instagram I know all that but I would really like to like in BL Sky true which one you on Blue Sky no you got to get on Blue Sky I am on chat chat GP whatever I'm trying that it's a little dad you go mom will go in the future and take you with her when would you go I'd go back into the uh World War II era and take Mom that sounds fun Delight it would be a black all right okay all right Mom Dad Haley politics I have this question for us all if you could change one thing about your physical appearance what would it be H uh the wrinkles as you get older you wrinkle a little bit let's say it's not not about aging not aging well those are wrinkles um I would want to be made out of titanium steel that's pretty cool entire body yes my entire body okay can't hurt me I want to be titanium SE I'm good the way I am I'm happy what do you need no diabetes i' hope no but diabetes is a nasty disease we wish that was not here and Chad's cancer we wish that never happened that's not a physical appearance is it I mean I guess for you it is half your face got [ __ ] ripped diabetes doesn't count it's got to be how you look something about how you look oh oh I don't I I like how I look aesthetically so I wouldn't change anything but if I could get a full [ __ ] body of uh titanium and like maybe never die I don't know I'd look like this I'd be bear bear I'd be sugar bear like a rocket launcher for an arm or like you know my God like weaponize my body I might do that yeah I want to be indestructible dad you have no answer for this what to change your change anything about your physical appearance maybe be taller yeah that's what I'd do too I'd want to be at least seven feet tall so that I could play in the NBA play for the Lakers oh my God all right yeah but then you have like bad bones and back issues and [ __ ] like really tall people have a lot of you're asking about a titanium body here I can have a perfect 7ot tall body with no phys you want it perfect all right okay I want a perfect seven foot tall body so I can play for the Lakers I want titanium all right let me ask you guys this Mom Dad Haley do you believe Consciousness is something that exists outside of the human body or is it a property that emerges from the brain why are you asking these hard questions I'm curious about your answers to them these are these are questions that get at your fundamental understanding or your perception I mean you I don't think about that [ __ ] you guys would have to believe in you would have to believe in conscious outside of your brain because you believe in heaven that's right so I mean anybody who believes anything you know that's like once you die then yeah you believe in if you believe in a soul or whatever is that beer what Dad said are you drinking beer for the Super Bowl no this is toppo Chico tangerine and ginger extract drink it down and get a metal body I like green tea but me too okay so you guys all believe it exists outside the head Haley that was not a good question move on it's a great question because it I have been trying to have an out-of- Body Experience pretty consistently for the past I would say three to four months I've been really trying to zero in on it and I think I'm getting close with what drugs don't even tell me drugs no using Gateway experience it's a meditation thing okay that's better I think that there is overwhelming evidence is starting to mount in the scientific community that human consciousness is probably the fundamental component of reality that reflects out the physical world and so the physical world is just uh it's a hologram literally from this kind of underlying layer of Consciousness that we are all a part of all return to after death etc etc that's what I am starting to come to the conclusion of San junip heroing uh a little bit yeah but I I mean I mean there is essentially the way that I think it works is this there is this underlying layer of Consciousness that exists and permeates everything completely so this table has Consciousness this microphone has Consciousness we obviously have consciousness of different types different varieties volumes Etc but it's the vibration of that layer of Consciousness that creates matter that creates subatomic particles because if we at least if we start to look into what matter is we drill down we get our electron microscopes out and we see basically that everything is made up of atoms and atoms don't really exist they're just vibrations electrons protons neutrons gluons tach on all these things they're just representations of vibration and so that means physical matter isn't actually in quotes physical in the way we think of it like that you can touch it it's just how we experience it but the truth is all of this is just [ __ ] vibrating hello I want to getting way deep on us way deep not at all this is I'm ready to show you my animals and you're talking weird stuff I need yeah I need to vibrate into about10 million okay okay all right um like we were gonna talk like briefly each of us about what makes us happy and stuff okay people call me Snow White I love animals I love all kind call what who calls who calls you Snow White all my friends because I can talk to animals at some point in time this is a psychic connection autism it's Au it is it's a psychic connection to animals I don't even have to say words anymore to shiny I just look at him a certain way and he'll do what I ask okay I've Loved animals my whole life and my f my dad let me have any kind of animal I Ever Wanted as a little girl growing up and the most ex I did huh what was the most exotic of your childhood pets the one that I remember that is really kind of funny because my mom and dad were alcoholics and they would go down to the ice house all the time to get their booze and their beer my dad brought me back once a mud puppy that he got from the Ice House in great Ben from the liquor store yes I don't know what a mud puppy was doing at the liquor store I guess a man had it down there or something so he bought me home this little mud puppy and then he dug this huge hole in our backyard put an old bathtub in there and put my mud puppy so I had Mud Puppies he let me have all kinds of animals these are some of my we have had let's see one two three four five six eight dogs I think since we've been married and I did send you these pictures chat yeah I'll put them in the show and um the one that's on here that is y are going to go what this one is it backwards to you that one right there Roman Roman dad and I were not married we were in high school and we got this dog together we went down to the pound and got this dog because your dad killed yours well yeah my dad kind of K no my mother took our peaches who had cancer they didn't want to mess with it my mom one day I came home my dog was gone I should be on the couch with Bob I said where's should we be on that couch because happened to us as well with a dog called w-e remember I said where' peaches go and she said I had caner I took it to the vet and they put it down where'd Wally go uh Wally bit Haley in the cheek we've been through this once the dog bites we don't allow them around you guys when you were little and Wally went to heaven okay so went to a farm that huh he told us You' put them on a farm when we were children who you you told Haley and I that Wally went to live on a farm O well Wally first went to live with a fireman and his family and Wally didn't settle in there at all yeah firemen called me back and said this is going to work so so I did try I thought it was best not to bring him back into the home to bite Haley again an animal huh she was tormenting him he was defending himself no she was sitting on a bed playing with him and he jumped on her and bit her about a half an inch from her eye we have different is that not right I don't know how I was very young but I pulling his tail constantly wasn't absolutely was okay anyway well went to heaven but getting back to this Roman dog dad and I had this dog before we were ever married and we decided on the name Roman and now our first grandson which we had nothing to do with naming him I didn't even know you had a dog named Roman I know Haley named Roman Roman then all of our kitty cats buddy Top Spin putty there's the one that Chad oh yelled at the man you [ __ ] bastard she got God she was cute little bud hopefully putty is living on some kind of Offspring she had so many kids we had Iggy py py still alive Mo Polly and Caesar we had when we were first married all right I love animals I love my shiny hiney horses have a magnetic field around them about three and a half four feet as you walk up to them they can feel what you feel if you are I believe if you are anxious if you are excited whatever you feel they feel it that's why when you ride horses you got to calm your ass down you got to calm your heart rate down for everything to be okay or they'll absorb it all uh when my mother died in fact three days four days I cried I couldn't quit crying couldn't quit crying dad goes where do you want to go I'll take you anywhere you want to go to Hawaii you want to go here he goes if you don't quit crying you're going to go to the hospital for happy medicine I said take me to Winston Winston was a friend of Haley Haley had a friend in high school named Karen still friends I used to take care of Winston a little bit I said take me to Winston it was a horse I used to go out and see and I went on a Sunday morning Dad took me out there and he came up to me and I just leaned on him and the Sun was shining and I quit crying and you've never cried since yeah right um all right so we're all animal lovers I have a cat Haley you've had a a wide range manery creatures more than any of us I still do we all have than any of us yeah I did have we love them so hard in deep it's so hard when you got to let them go it's terrible but if you've never loved an animal then you've never loved it all yeah well okay let me ask you this do you think that we have free will or is everything predetermined Mom oh gosh why are you asking hard questions these are just standard questions to get to know how you view reality I think you have free will I don't think it's predetermined like what you think I know you think that what do you think I think it's predetermined oh interesting what gives you that impression because I mean you think you make choices but I think everything has to fit into fit into this giant puzzle all around the world and that's already been decided all right Haley free will all right interesting I think everything is predetermined do you you think humans are inherently good bad or something else in between Mom I think both I think there's awesome good people I've met in my lifetime but then I think there's some very very evil ones I just think the world has changed lately too there's more evil than good and we got to bring it back we got to bring the good back yeah Dad I think both overall the human race is evil okay Haley yes I believe that people can be inherently good and bad um I mean it's all relative you know because exactly yes you know some what you consider to be a good deed could be considered bad by others you know so I it's all kind of circumstantial I I should prefit that and say do you think people are inherently altruistic or [Music] not hard questions I don't know like I don't know what is nature versus nurture I don't know anymore given the state of the [ __ ] world we live in right now right you know what I think I don't know you can give me one X right now but I'll bring up pandemic I think during the pandemic when we were locked down so that's my ex so I've got one CH got one pandemic is not political uh it kind of was couchy hello anyway that's my ex I do think that when when we were all locked down it changed all of us to the bad because we didn't have to interact anymore the poor kids didn't have school to go to anymore wait a minut minut it buddy oh the kids didn't have social to go to anymore and be social with their friends and kid um friends and then I think it changed us all okay um on that same track if you could erase one trait from Humanity greed fear Envy anything of this nature which uh trait which psychological trait would you erase from the collective humanity and why well we can't do that but I guess greed greed's the root of all evil right money greed I believe so over creation overpopulation oh you erase overpopulation that's not really a psychological trait but okay haly I think greed I think greed as well you know if you're satisfied with what you have then you don't go after the things that you're always you're you know always keeping up with the Joneses it's why people are billionaires it's why yes people are starving Etc so you eliminate that I disagree with that's why they're billionaires they don't start out they start out with greed they end up with a lust for power that's greed power hand power power creates iones not greed but greed is a lust for power it's the same thing no it's I want more I want to control more that's a greed no you're getting close to borderline to another X all right sorry uh do you believe that every human being has a purpose or do we create meaning for ourselves mom everybody has a purpose Dad we create it for ourselves haly now dad you said we don't have free will though how do you think we create it for ourselves if we don't have free will well because it's all predetermined then how do we create anything well you go through life doing things and whatever you do G affect other people all right and that is all in one big piece of pie that's already puzzles already put together okay H that's how no I think it's self-imposed I don't think that uh you give your your own self purpose I believe that's the illusion of human consciousness or whatever version of our conscious experience uh that exists I do think we it is all predetermined whatever you are in quotes go supposed to do in your life is what will happen there is no possibility to deviate from it because all of this has already happened I've just talked about one more thing real quick one of my other happy things I like to do approaching one of my other happy things I like to do is plant flowers my dad instill that in me they had a greenhouse I used to go plant with him in the greenhouse some of the most fun times and I love uh our backyard is way station for butterflies so I grow those monarchs and and I love that but just recently our grandson has become active in plants and he likes planting things so when he came through last time I gave him uh four amorus Bobs which is my mother's favorite flower and my favorite flower and mine have just started blooming they're really pretty so I texted him Roman what's your Ameris buls look like and he sent me back a picture and they're getting ready to bloom so he did he planted flowers just like what I did and they're getting ready to bloom made me happy he's actually gonna take extra classes I think to minor in horiculture that's what you said excellent my dad would be so proud yeah um let me ask you this if you could ask a god an all- knowing entity whatever you believe God to be if you could ask that entity one question getting an answer about the fundamental nature of existence about anything what would that question be mom I I know some people don't want to know this I do I would love to know the day I'm gonna die because then I could put things in order and see you guys for the last time face to face and I would like to know the day I'm GNA go all right Dad same thing you want to know when you're going to die yeah interesting we're not afraid of It kind of I don't want to go but yeah if I have to go I want to know when I just I really have come to the conclusion I used to be hardcore atheist and like nothing happens after you die all this kind of [ __ ] I just have had too many weird experiences now like you know whatever you want to call it in the astral plane the psychic realm that I'm like oh no there is some other [ __ ] here and uh I think we will all be fine after death I don't think Consciousness ends after it I don't know what it becomes or where it goes or or what happens but yeah yeah that would be my question just so I have a definitive answer like what is this and is there something after like I want a definitive [ __ ] answer you know things like this have happened to me too when Max passed and we um had Dr Tracy in the backyard dad was holding Kitty we let Max Go to Heaven within that next two we period don't punch me again it's one o' got it within the next two week period don't punch me um you know it's not one o'clock either you just like rethink everything I was sitting in the backyard with Kitty she was looking for Max we were out on this little railroad tie thing we were I was sitting down and I said kitty it's okay he's not coming back but he's here all of a sudden I'm not kidding a hummingbird I I looked up and I saw something you know flying it came straight down in front of me looked me in the eye and took off this type of thing is it's a known thing that you know Spirits or whatever people who have died pets that have died will come back as animals it was mat there's a a show on Netflix called I believe it's called surviving death it's like six episodes or something I highly encourage you to watch it there are many of the episodes are kind of about like mediums huh highly encourage yes yeah highly encourage there are some episodes that are about like mediums and [ __ ] and those are throwaway but there's one episode that's about people coming back after they've died they have video of these two women these sisters their mom died and they they told the mom and talked openly when she was alive about Cardinals those birds like her symbol and she'll come back and all this kind of [ __ ] they have video of them the day after maybe it's even the day of the funeral I can't remember which they're standing outside and this Cardinal comes and sits on This Woman's shoulder and like they can't they're like trying to get it to fly away and it just keeps like perching on them you know [ __ ] like that uh they also have an episode about reincarnation that has these tiny kids like five and six-year-old kids being like my name is Harry Smith and I was an actor in Hollywood and I was in these movies and then the parents are like what and they look it up and they're like holy [ __ ] this guy was real and they take that little kid to go talk to that guy's uh you know like 60-year-old daughters and [ __ ] at this point it's absolutely wild so I think there is life after death or or some extension of Consciousness I want to watch that so tell me where that is that I can watch Netflix it's called surviving death and then she would go in the corner and look for Max because that's where they'd always go together yeah and one day I snapped a picture I said we got to go in Kitty let's go I snap a quick picture come inside there was a rainbow over her head I have the picture wow yeah hi sugar sugga oh all right okay Mom and Dad yeah I have this question and Haley do you think happiness is the ultimate goal in The Human Experience it should be yes all right Dad do you think it is happiness no what do you think is the ultimate goal I don't know it depends on the individual but I think the quest for power that do you believe you've been a part of that you've sought this goal power well my goal was to get enough money to where I had the power to do what I wanted to do and nobody could tell tell me no or mess with me okay so a kind of lesser version of the quest for power is what drove correct okay I think everybody has an amount of that in the degree to how much power you think you got to have differs from person to person I mean you're not really talking about power you're talking more about Comfort having the enough resource to supply a comfortable life that is the power to live the way you want to live right okay Haley I don't I mean oh you're a power Monger well there's there's something there is something about my life where I am just never satisfied and so I don't know if like my ultimate goal is happiness I don't know how to achieve that I guess is what I'm saying because after I have set a goal and achieved it like I have momentary happiness but then I feel like I've done nothing and I need to continue to do something so I I don't know how to achieve just like ah I'm content now like I don't know how to achieve that so is is that the ultimate goal I suppose so but I don't think it will ever happen for me you know the things that I wish for my children are happiness I just want them to be happy like self-acceptance and and happiness um but I don't know if I will ever personally [ __ ] achieve that ever I hope we have two happy children because you're both very successful and you know that and we tell you that how proud We Are of you uh the happy thing though I have seen that with Haley she'll be happy for a while and and get a goal and then she's got to have another one that's what keeps her going I think yeah we have to go pretty quick so we gotta go do this um well I don't know about the answer to this question for myself personally I do find that I am wildly entertained by this experience of life I do think it's very funny and bizarre and absurd and uh face we literally are going to be late look at Dad's face go ahead we're gonna be late for the shed we will go God damn oh okay I don't mean to keep you from the shed so we will end this podcast here thank you very much everyone for joining us on this apolitical conversation I know Mom you giving out some strikes we did have a couple of
