In the aftermath of the 2024 election, America is even more divided than before. Half the country fears the end of democracy, and the other half welcomes it. As America inches toward the brink of authoritarian rule, now more than ever, we must force ourselves to have the necessary conversation. Welcome to the necessary conversation. I'm Chad Culin. With me is my mom and my sister in the same room.

0:33

Hey. Hey. We can't move. Per instructions. We are statues. One of you is sitting in the noisiest chair ever developed by humanity. And it's like

0:45

you just spit on me. Jesus. Oh my god. All right. We will not move. Okay. Haley, do you want to discuss um your trip there? Why you're there? What are you doing there?

0:59

I went to go see a kid in college and I'm on my way home and this is like a stop gallivanting station. Okay.

1:06

Gallivanting. Mhm. All right. Um, Mom, do you have any diddies before we begin our main program? I wanted He to talk quick about uh Sky Dog Ranch and what the bakery has done.

1:18

Okay. I already did. It's Sky Dog Sanctuary. They help wild mustangs and we donated some money and they were able to save a wild mustang. So, if you guys feel like helping out uh wild mustangs, donate to Sky Dog Sanctuary. You can find them all over the internet. Here's my diddy. How about Ed Sheeran getting cancelled?

1:38

I is I don't know all the details of it. It was Mmore was saying free Palestine and Ed Sheeran kicked him off his tour or something.

1:47

Yeah. So, Mmore was an opening act for Ed Sheeran and he came out I He's known for this. He does this [ __ ] all the time. It's nothing new. So Mmore was on stage with like a Palestinian flag and saying free Palestine, you know, and um he did it I think at two or three concerts. And after that third concert, Ed Sheeran said, "You're no longer going to tour with me because Robert Craft, who owns like one of the

2:15

Yeah. He owns one of the the next stadium that they were supposed to be going to. Okay. And I guess he told Ed Sheeran, "You're not welcome if you're bringing Mmore." So he said, "All right."

2:26

Right. So, uh, he kicked Mmore off of his [ __ ] lineup. More craft. Huh? Because of Robert Craft. Well, because Ed Sheeran is a [ __ ] corporate greed machine.

2:40

Yeah. As are I want the money. Like the right thing to do would just be like, "Well, [ __ ] you. No, I'm not getting rid of them and I just won't come to your stadium."

2:48

Yeah. Exactly. Interesting. Well, right. So, he didn't do that and instead he doubled down and was like, you know, I'm not political. I'm apolitical. Okay. Well, [ __ ] you, pal. So, now everybody on the internet is up Ed Sheeran's ass and he just issued an apology um at one of his latest concerts crying around about it because everybody's cancelling his ass. He was like, I don't like to get into politics, but I guess I have to say something now. and he treats it as though it's a war happening,

3:22

you know, and he and and we all know that it's a [ __ ] genocide. Okay. So, he kind of skirted around it a little bit and was like, "I'm just so sorry. I've made mistakes." But it's like, "I don't You're done. You're done, dude." And then Pink like interjected.

3:37

She said Pink came after Mmore and was like, "People come to concerts to like listen to music and shit." And uh I guess she's Jewish and she took it as like a

3:49

I see she was like I was afraid of the [ __ ] that you were saying on stage and all this [ __ ]

3:54

and we all know that Mammore is like not anti-Semitic. It was literally just like Palestinian people are being like murdered, you know, on a daily basis. Anyway, so now Pink is canceled, Ed Sharon's canceled. And I'm like, who's next?

4:07

Wow. I didn't understand all that. Who's next? I didn't know. His dad used to always say to us, "Pick a side. pick a side. I I think you have to at this point.

4:18

That's what it's coming down to. All these artists saying like, "Oh, you gota I don't want to be political, blah, blah, blah, blah." It's like, World War II is happening, bro.

4:27

Right. Pick the [ __ ] side. The whole [ __ ] thing's coming apart at the seams. They can't just stand on the sidelines anymore.

4:33

There was one performer though that really was not. So that's what everybody said, Dolly Pardon. They said she was not. She wouldn't do Democratic things. She wouldn't do Republican things. She was right in the middle.

4:44

Didn't she give all kinds of money to left-leaning charities and [ __ ] Yes, 100%. She g Yeah, she gave You're out of your mind on that one, Mom.

4:51

Yeah. Dolly Parton is like as left as they thought. No. Yeah. No, she didn't um attend some things with Trump or take the medal of whatever that he wanted to give her because one, her husband was sick and then on a second time she was sick or something and couldn't go to the White House.

5:08

She like champions the LGBTQ plus community. That's fine. But she's always in the middle. No, not going one-sided. I thought this says she had no party affiliation publicly but donated to a bunch of liberal charities. Blah blah blah blah.

5:22

You're both wrong and you're both right. Mom. Oh, you have no diddies. You're going to let that's it. Haley's more wasy. I'm going to bop them. That's it. Don't move. We can't. We're frozen statues today. Go ahead.

5:36

Yeah. Well, all you got to do is get chairs that don't um make crazy noise. All we got to do is get a nice little recording room instead of the towel that's taped up with.

5:49

You should see this setup. I'm sure I will next time I'm there. Um All right. Well, let's move on to our question. If you have a question for us, all you have to do is record it in a one minute or shorter video clip. Email it to the necessary conversation [email protected]. put in that subject line question so that I know it is one and I might play it right here. Here's our question for today. Are you ready?

6:13

What is that? She's got like these serial killer [ __ ] like notes written that are like scary. Okay, go ahead. Holy [ __ ] Those are pit papers. All right. Um, here's our question for today.

6:28

Hey, Colchen family. My name is Kim. I'm from fabulous Las Vegas. I am a former Republican. I voted for Trump in 2016 and in 2018 switched to independent and have never voted for him since. My question is for Haley actually. Um Haley, you remind me so much of my oldest daughter who owns a small local restaurant here in Las Vegas. Um, my question to you and the family is when did you get your first tattoo? And what was Bob and Mary Lou's reaction when you got your first tattoo? Um, what's your favorite tattoo? How many tattoos do you have? And what's going to be your next

7:15

tattoo? That's it. Oh, Chad, do you have any tattoos? That's it, family. I love the pod. I love you all. Wishing Bob well. Um, and hope to hear from him uh back on the pod very soon. Thanks, guys.

7:33

A question of two. Haley, do you want to begin? Uh, okay. So, I turned 18 and immediately went to a tattoo parlor and I got a black dragon kind of like tribal style [ __ ] stamp. Um, I love it. I still have it and I love it. And uh mom and dad paid for it.

7:58

Mhm. It was like a birthday present basically. And they made me promise them that I would never get another tattoo as long as I lived.

8:06

Is that true? That is 100% true. And now you're like chin to toes covered. Yeah. So, well, I came home after that. Like I came home late, whatever. Went to sleep. I am awoken the next morning at like [ __ ] 7 a.m. They come into my room, throw the covers off my body and like lift my shirt to see the tattoo and like, "Oh, god damn. That's the only one, right? You [ __ ] promised, right?"

8:34

Yes. Yes. I promise. I promise. Um, I didn't get another one until probably like sophomore or junior year of college. Okay. And then I didn't really go hard until adulthood, like after I had had children and I really kind of knew what I wanted and had money to do it because people don't know tattoos cost a lot of [ __ ] money.

8:56

I became mad at her when she got the second one because of the first promise. The second one was a Kansas State uh Remember that one?

9:05

Yeah. It was like alma mater. Yeah. Got it on her foot and I said, "I thought you were only going to get one." So, that was a big fat lie, right?

9:14

And then look what happened now. I make no promises. Chad, do you have a tattoo? I don't know how many I have, by the way.

9:20

A couple also part of the question. I have like some um I just got one that's like uh it's a commemorative tattoo of like two of my cats that have died

9:38

and it's probably my favorite. It's like really well executed. It's colorful. It's just really pretty and it, you know, I think of them. So,

9:46

and there's another story about this. Um, we went down to a tattoo parlor and no one was of age. Oh, right. This is for me.

9:57

Yes. The to answer another piece of the question, our entire family is tattooed. Doesn't even have one or did he never get one?

10:03

No, dad does not. Okay. So, all three of us are. When I was 18 or before I was 18, I wanted to get a tattoo. Also a dragon. Not quite a [ __ ] stamp, but it is like a tribal kind of dragon.

10:14

Shame that I had. It's on my back left shoulder. Now it just looks like a black square. I also still love it. And I am colloquially known amongst friends as the guy with the dragon tattoo.

10:26

Oh, nice. Now, um, I wanted to get this tattoo, but we didn't know, I guess, that you have to be 18 to get a tattoo. You guys took me for my birthday when I was like 16 or 17 to go get it. We show up, they're like, "Yeah, you can't get a tattoo until you're 18." So, mom, you got a tattoo that day

10:43

because nobody else could get one and I was all pressured into it and tell them what and where. Yeah. I put my butt up in the window. It was the art festival going by with people watching as my butt was up in a window and I have a tiny little rose on my butt.

11:00

That answers the questions. that's supposed to glow in the dark, but as of this today, I don't think it does anymore. I don't think that's right. I think you're making that part up. But, uh, thank you for your question. If anybody else out there has questions, just email them in a one minute or shorter video format to the necessary conversation potgmail.com. Subjectline question. Let's begin our program today. We start with Trump banning the news. On Friday, authoritarian dictator Donald Trump banned CNN, MS Now, and Politico from the White House over what he called their quote, "Constant reporting of fake news." On Saturday morning, the three

11:37

outlets reporters were blocked from the grounds and had their press badges confiscated by Secret Service, an act that not even Nixon did at the height of his quarrel with the Washington Post after their reporting on Watergate. Authoritarian dictator Donald Trump offered no specific examples of these outlets fake news reporting that triggered his ban. He said the ban could be lifted if outlets straighten themselves out with more favorable coverage of him and his authoritarian regime. Hegsth said he fully supports the ban while no other Republicans weighed in on one side or the other of this author dictator Donald Trump's most recent move to go against the

12:13

Constitution. Mom, do you support banning MS Now, CNN, and Politico from the White House? I support banning people that go in there and just start yelling at him and not giving him a chance and being the fake news.

12:30

Um, I want to say this with Biden, no one brought this up like he exed out 440 reporters u from the White House from going in there. He also had scripted questions. What?

12:44

They just throw Yes, Google it. Biden xed out from the White House. 440 reporters, but no one reports on that. No one ever reported either. Like when they wouldn't let Donald Trump and they censored him off YouTube, off X, off how many different venues they wouldn't even let him have an account on. But see, the left doesn't say anything about that. They like that.

13:08

Uhhuh. This is not correct. You're 100% wrong. Okay. More than 440 reporters lost their permanent White House press credentials because the Biden administration introduced new eligibility and annual renewal guidelines. So all of these White House reporters who had had their credentials for a long time had to give them up and then once again prove that they were employed by a newspaper or whatever uh to get their thing.

13:36

Reporters are required to show proof of full-time employment with a primary news organization, hold formal congressional or supreme court press gallery accreditation, and prove they had physically accessed the White House complex for work at least once in the prior six months. So, he didn't ban anybody. He just said, "If you guys want to stay in the White House press pool, you have to provide these credentials."

13:54

He banned no one. Next, how about how about those um the networks that wouldn't even put the rallies up there? Wouldn't put Trump's rallies on TV.

14:02

Who cares? We don't need to do that. So, so I'm kind of on Trump's side. Each network gets to decide what they want to air and what they want to cover. That's called freedom of press.

14:14

That's part of our constitution. Okay. So, for him to look at these three outlets who obviously don't cover him favorably. Why would they? Gas prices are higher than they've ever been. We're in an endless war that we're now losing. And we're going to get to that a little bit later.

14:30

Why would they cover any of that favorably? And so he just says, "Fuck it. Kick the ones out who don't do what I want." That's not freedom of press.

14:39

He's just cherry-picking who comes in and what comes out. And so he's essentially just feeding us all propaganda because the news outlets that he's going to let in are the ones that you and dad watch as opposed to unbiased views or other opposing views. So now it's just going to be the White House airing [ __ ] X and Newsmax and Fox. I kind of am on Trump's side on this one. I really am.

15:07

Would you be on Trump's side if he decides to kick out every news outlet? No press allowed in the White House at all.

15:18

I don't know. I don't know about that question. Give me an answer. What do you mean? Hasn't he said, "I'm the most transparent president in the history of the world."

15:28

Many times. I do remember this though. Remember when Biden gave what he only gave in his full four years, six or seven press pressers? Not very many. Do you remember? He would raise up a piece of paper and it have the picture of the person with the question.

15:45

Uhhuh. So Trump doesn't do that. They come in and start yelling at him. You're doing this weird thing again where it's like I'm asking you a question.

15:54

I'm asking you a question, Mom, about Donald Trump and what he has just done. Yes. which is violate the Constitution of the United States by kicking out three press outlets who have covered the White House for years and years and years,

16:09

but chose not to because he doesn't like what they're saying about him. Well, he's he's not liking what they did either. Like they wouldn't put his rallies on TV. They wouldn't do this. They wouldn't do that.

16:20

That's correct. That is their right to do. They have that editorial decision to make. Then I guess this is his right as president to do. No, it's not because we have protections. Okay.

16:31

Yeah, he's now going to be sued and this will go to the Supreme Court, etc., etc. And I I um assume Hello. What's going on over there?

16:41

I just threw my number one topic down on the ground. Haley's laughing. I assume he's going to lose the lawsuit and and these uh press outlets will be reinstated, but you don't seem to understand. Do you know like how Putin controls all the news in Russia?

16:55

No, I don't. Okay. Everything that is printed in Russia is part of his propaganda machine. Same thing with their news channels and it's all favorable to him. Like they just had these parliamentary elections this week and guess what? Putin's party won in a landslide. It's all rigged. It's all fake. And then the news prints the story, oh great, he won. He won. That's what Trump is trying to do here. By eliminating access to any news outlet that is critical of him, he necessarily makes an environment where all of the press outlets are favorably uh reporting on whatever he does.

17:33

Whether it's stealing money from the American people, whether it's using ICE thugs to kill people in the street, waging endless war, uh pardoning people who give him money.

17:44

You think it's fine for them to do fake news on him, too? What's the fake news? Not fake news. It's just what fake news did they do?

17:51

They oppose what he's doing. That's not fake news. What fake news did they do? Mom, give me one example. I don't know any. But he always says fake news.

18:00

But he's lying to you. Oh gosh. Okay. Somehow, Haley, your presence has made her regress. Um, Mom, do you think freedom of the press is important?

18:12

Yes, I do. Okay. Then why are you for banning three press outlets from the White House? because those are people that hate him and they're going to yell at him and they're going to throw stuff out there that's not true.

18:23

But he hates them and yells at them. That's why he's trying to get rid of them. They oppose views. You can't do that. You need unbiased opinions. You need middle ground. You need opposing views. Like that's the beauty of freedom of speech.

18:35

I like the truth. Okay. Who yelled at him? A lot of people go in there and yell stuff at him. No, I'm just asking questions.

18:44

I don't have names. You're putting me on the spot. No one yells. I'm putting You're the one making the claim that these three press outlets stormed into the White House Oval Office and screamed in his face.

18:57

You're saying they yell at him? No one has yelled at him. I'm saying I think it's funny that they're whining around now about this and they didn't whine when they they more or less or whoever took him off all social media platforms. They loved that. It's like when it doesn't fit their narrative.

19:16

Uhuh. Yeah. That do you think Politico, CNN, and MS Now took him off social media platforms? Maybe. Okay. What social media platforms do MS Now, CNN, or Politico own?

19:30

I do not know, Chad. You're asking me hard questions today. They don't own any. Oh, he was kicked off Facebook and Twitter. None of or Meta Products and Twitter back when that happened. This was after January 6th because they all of the different social media platforms basically said he [ __ ] caused January 6th. We have to yank him. He's dangerous. And so they to they revoked his ability to use Twitter and all this [ __ ] That's why he made truth social so that he could have his own platform.

19:59

Okay? None of these news outlets had anything to do with that. So you're now creating some strange story in your mind that is not real. Speaking of fake news.

20:09

Okay. All right. Moving on. Wait, before you go to the next topic, did you guys see the Converse ad? Yes. What are your thoughts?

20:19

Did you see it, Mom? No. [ __ ] insane. Wow. Right. So, Target is out here with minstrel costumes during Halloween and Converse is out here lynching people to sell shoes.

20:32

What? Holy [ __ ] I forgot about that for the simmer down until just now. Converse ran this ad that very blatantly shows like shoes are kind of dangling almost as if someone has been lynched.

20:45

The picture is this. It's a black and white photo of somebody. Haley, see if you can get it on your phone and just show mom. I don't want to put it on the screen. Um the picture is a it's from maybe like the middle chest or waist down of a person's leg standing in a kind of darkened room. There is a projection of a star like the Converse star shining down. Okay. So, the light where it's hitting the person's apron or dress or whatever.

21:13

Yeah. Looks like a KKK hood. And then you can see those shoes that the person is holding because of the lighting just looks like someone potentially dangling from a tree.

21:23

Well, I'd say we we ain't buying no Converse. I'm pretty sure on that. I see it. That's terrible. So, you see it? I see it. It's terrible. But then the question becomes with this ad is was it just complete ineptitude and that image passes through a chain of probably a dozen or so people none of whom

21:42

see that image and are like oh we can't run this or do you think it's more likely that this was a purposeful somewhere within the company somebody is designing this image to evoke these racist ideas

21:56

to me that looks purposeful it's blatant you don't make it multiple [ __ ] hands and eyes to print. That's That's terrible. No,

22:05

what's the one with Target about the runner lady that had her period and kept going? That one? What? No. Target ran an ad for a child's Halloween costume.

22:16

Yes. That looked like a minstrel. Oh, I thought you were talking about min. Um, that one is not as bad as the other one. That just looks like a little pumpkin.

22:31

No, this is blatant. That's a little pumpkin. I don't think so. The bottom line. Sorry. Go ahead. Go ahead. It it's it is racism out in the open and they're they're testing boundaries to see what they can get away with because they know their target market is maja and they know they're racist pieces of [ __ ] So, this is a test. How far can we go?

22:50

I guess this was our summer down. I don't The first one was disgust disgusting. That one just didn't look like a black man. That's a little pumpkin boy.

23:01

It's not. It's a It's It's racist. Okay. Um certainly I think the whether it was purposeful or not, I tend to think it was, but there's there's no way that we can know that. Obviously, I don't think any anybody who was like designing that ad is going to step forward and be like, "Yep, I did it on purpose." But we are seeing right now racism in this country at least I think probably in my lifetime is the worst it's ever been in terms of being like out in the open. You have black people getting lynched that they're just saying no it was suicide. Cops are like no

23:35

investigation needed here. I think one person's been arrested in one of these murders that's happened. I think there's been 12 12 black people have been found hung from trees in the south

23:47

and only one person uh has been brought in for questioning and kind of found for one of them. I think racism has always been here it and it's hard thing to stop and it's always been around. It was around when dad and I were in high school. There was one little town that said, "If you are black, don't let the sun set on you." Our high school,

24:12

that was in what year? 1960, 195, 1971, around in there. Okay. Our school bus, we were the Great Ben Black Panthers. And on the side of the bus, they had to take off the black. We had to become the black. We had to become the Panthers. So,

24:32

I'm just saying it's been around forever, but that doesn't But it's not good. It's never been good. We're trying to get rid of it.

24:38

You're trying to say it's greater now. I don't I don't It is It is because Donald Trump is in office and he is emboldening people who feel this way in Texas right now. Greg Abbott has said [ __ ] like, "You're not going to Sharia my Texas."

24:53

Yeah. And they're going after Islamic people in the state of Texas right now. Sharia law is not the law of the United States, by the way.

25:02

It's all made up. Like, it's it's [ __ ] Like, nobody is trying to do anything to the state of Texas. Like, people want to go to their uh Muslim temples. Like, there's nothing wrong with that. And in Texas, our [ __ ] governor and all of his cronies, who are all Mha, by the way, are super [ __ ] Islamophobic. And it's making people of color like [ __ ] terrified to live here. We'll talk about Sharia law another time.

25:28

Mom, they ICE basically they passed a law saying that ICE can just detain anybody if they look or sound like they are not US citizens. What do you think that means?

25:44

I have told you I don't like ICE. Defund ICE. Right. But I'm not talking about defunding ICE right now. I'm talking about you. You like racism's always been here. No big deal. Haley and I are saying it's escalated now under Trump specifically because he's passing these policies. The one of the first things he did anti-Dei, get rid of DEI.

26:06

They Pete Hex fired uh what was it? Four or five people, a black general. Yeah. Yeah. All these people, he fired them because they weren't white or they weren't men. All of that is like happening.

26:17

Take away the statement that you said that I said racism is no big deal. It is a big deal. It has always been a big deal. and we need to work together not to make it a big deal.

26:28

Then you got to stop voting for people like Donald Trump. So don't put those words in my mouth. I'm not trying to put words in your mouth, but you said racism has always been here as though it's like, well, just a fact of life. We got a little

26:40

No, I didn't mean it that way at all. Okay. Uh let's move on. Our second topic is the Kennedy Center. This Tuesday this Tuesday's authoritarian dictator.

26:51

We can't move. This is Tuesday. South authority dictator Donald Trump escalating his fixation on the Kennedy Center when a federal judge Christopher Cooper again ruled that Trump's name cannot be added to the exterior without congressional approval. The same day, the Trump aligned board voted to close the main building for renovations that could last up to two years, citing the building's condition and financial problems. Then the very next day, authoritarian dictator Donald Trump told reporters the center could be ripped down if his administration doesn't get recognition. If we don't do that, it's going to close. It'll end up being ripped down. And that night,

27:28

photographers at Joint Base Andrews uh captured him aboard Air Force One examining a large placard reading Kennedy Center demolished above what looked like a construction rendering. Then on Friday, what was estimated to be thousands of demonstrators formed a human chain around the Kennedy Center for a Hands Around the Kennedy Center event organized by Hands Off the Arts. Mom, should authoran authoritarian dictator Donald Trump tear down the Kennedy Center?

27:57

I would not like to see that. It is in bad shape. I think he talked with Bobby Kennedy or somebody and said if his administration does fix it up and put money into it, then why not? Could he have his name along with the other name, both names together? I did see the picture you were talking about where he's sitting in the airplane and he wants to take it all the way down.

28:22

I don't think it's because he just wants his name on it. That might be part of it. But I think he feels if

28:28

he literally already put his name on it. If he puts money into it to fix it up if he puts money into it, that's our [ __ ] money.

28:37

He's not paying for it. You understand that, right? Even though he could. Obviously. He's he's worth like $4 billion or something at this point. But also, we're at war with

28:48

Yes, we're at war. We cannot [ __ ] afford groceries. We cannot afford any of our [ __ ] gas or our bills. But we're going to do another vanity project and pull money out of our [ __ ] pockets to do that. Is that okay?

29:00

Didn't that building fall down though? Part of the roof fell down, almost hit somebody and killed somebody a couple weeks ago. So, is it really It's in bad shape. Is that not

29:10

section of the ceiling plaster fell inside the major grand foyer forcing the entire Lar to close? Um, it is in bad shape. Water damage, corrosion. So, yes, maybe it needs renovation, but like why why should he get his name on it?

29:25

Because what other presidents have done renovations to a federal building and they're like and put my name on it? I don't know. You

29:33

I just thought because of his administration is putting money into it. Okay. than the Trump name. Maybe he wants it to be on there,

29:42

right? But why? To be remembered after he's no longer our president. He's gross. He's like the Baron and Dune. Yes. I was glad the people were out there protesting. That's fine. Do it.

29:56

Mom, he's the president. Yes. I think he'll be remembered as the president. Does he need his name on the Kennedy Center for that

30:05

because he's helping with the renovation? He's not. I'm half half on that. I'm half and half. You shouldn't be. You should be X.

30:14

No, I'm half and half on it. Why do you think he's so fixated? Why do you care? Why do you care? I don't I don't care. He [ __ ] cares. Mom, when they he put his name on it, right? Remember this?

30:24

Yes. Then the Supreme Court or or whatever this federal judge was was like, "You can't [ __ ] do that without congressional approval." And so instead of just taking his name off, he's a a little thin skinned baby. They put up [ __ ] tarps in a barricade so that the public couldn't see that his name had been removed.

30:44

I know. Why do you think he did that? Cuz he didn't. He wants his name up there. He's an egoomaniac. Yeah, he wants his name on it.

30:55

Okay, so I guess you're fine with this. Let's move on to topic number three. Ice versus teenagers. This week, Louisa Choa and JC Martin Via, both 17-year-old US citizens from Alamo, Texas, were on their way to a Marine recruiter's office to enlist in the United States military and serve our country when they stopped to record ICE agents detaining people outside of an elementary school. Agents then violently attacked the two boys.

31:20

Video of the assault is spread across the internet showing the horrific beating as one agent repeatedly punched one of the teenagers in the face about four times while he was on the ground. And the pair say they were pepper-sprayed and detained for roughly eight hours before being released. AOA said he told agents he was a US citizen and one replied, "I don't give a damn.

31:39

Your parents can't help you now." He said his wrist was also broken in the altercation. The Department of Homeland Security called the teens anti-ICE agitators, saying that after a vehicle stopped, they chased the officers, banged on a government vehicle's window, refused orders, and became combative and resisted. and uh that officers sustained minor injuries treated at a clinic, but there seems to be no video or paper or any kind of evidence corroborating anything DHS is claiming. No officers have been publicly disciplined or charged so far. Both teens have reportedly said they no longer intend to enlist. Mom, should I be allowed to violently beat United States citizens?

32:21

Of course not. Okay. Now, the things I read about this, I just read quickly this morning. Didn't have a lot of time. What you said was true that that ICE called them the anti- ice agitators. Um, the video shows what happens. I haven't seen the video and I Where's the video ahead of it? If they were agitators, is there a video ahead of it? If not, then the one very important part of this is I did read the Marine Recruiting Center confirmed that the teens had previously been there to inquire about joining.

32:58

Yeah. So, who do I believe? I believe them. The teens? Yes. Okay, great. So, this is just more evidence. Abolish ICE. Yes. Fantastic. So now you also see ICE in this case is hindering recruitment for the United States military which is also in extremely bad shape morale-wise currently.

33:20

Yes. All right. Um what kind of message do you think it sends to US citizens on their way to enlist in the military that ICE is just kicking the [ __ ] out of people going to do this?

33:33

It's not good. They have become the bad guys that you wanted deported out of the United States. Like that is who ICE is. They are the bad guys.

33:45

These two these [ __ ] [ __ ] that beat up these kids lose your job. Lose [ __ ] everything. Go to [ __ ] jail for a little bit. Think about what you've done. Like they beat up kids.

33:55

Yeah. They need to be held accountable and they're not not just kids. They beat up two United States citizens on their way to enlist in the goddamn Marines. We want to fight for our country.

34:07

And now they're not. It's insane. I'm I'm I'm agreeing with you two. Nobody wants to fight under Donald. So quit arguing with me on this one. That's a

34:18

um Hugh Jack. All right. Well, I'm not going to tell you that. All right. We'll get to it. Wednesday, we're going to have a special episode. You and me, Mom.

34:26

Oh god. Okay. Um, let's go to our simmer down. The biggest data center in the world is about to be opened near Amarillo, Texas. We all used to live in Amarillo, Texas. So, I thought it would be fun for us to remember what Amarillo was when we were there, far before data centers were even a thing. Um, and each of us have our favorite memory or memories from when we lived in Amarillo.

34:52

This was probably what mid to late 80s. Um, let's see. 84, 85. Yeah. Haley. Um, I got caught one day. I was, um, Haley went to stay home from school. She was probably, "What grade were you in that black and white stripet shirt and we went first?"

35:13

First grade. She was in first or second grade. She went to stay home. I said, "Sure, why not?" I stayed home with her. We went to the local little park called Paramount Park and played tennis.

35:24

I remember Paramount Park. And here came well she also on another day there you're telling my [ __ ] memories that the only [ __ ] I remember like I was three or something you know

35:34

so on that day we played tennis and all of a sudden a photographer out of nowhere comes and snapped our picture we were on the front page of the

35:43

Amarillo Amarillo Times playing hookie yeah playing hookie okay so that was Haley's memory or mom's memory what's going on here I didn't start this.

35:55

Okay. The bicycle. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. The uh Yeah. There was a steep hill at Paramount Park. Okay. That like it was a [ __ ]

36:07

an incline whatever. To me, I remember it this way. Let me tell my story. So, there was a steep hill like you know on the perimeter of a park there's like a sidewalk, right? So, there's a steep kind of incline

36:20

incline going down. Um, and at the end of that is a telephone pole. And I don't know if I had just gotten my bike or what, but I was riding a brand new bike. I think it was like a pink puppy with like, you know, the tinsel on the sides and like, woo. So, I'm on this [ __ ] bike just careening down this hill and I kicazied into the goddamn telephone pole

36:43

and I was playing tennis, I think, with someone and then I saw it and come running. Yeah. Yeah. I got hurt, right? I got hurt.

36:49

Bad concussion. bad concussion. I remember having a trampoline in my bedroom, a little mini trampoline in the corner of my room. I remember that. I remember um we used to play we used to set up army men in the kitchen on opposite sides and shoot them down with rubber bands.

37:06

Bands. Yeah, I remember that. Um I remember eating Nestle quick with a spoon out of the box. Yeah. Um I don't know. I don't it I was very young. I remember wiener schnitle for some reason. Yeah, there was a wiener.

37:20

Did we frequent Wieners? Yes, we did. By our house. Yes, that was dinner. My top memories from that or God, there's so many that for me I was like

37:32

age what 6 to nine or something when we lived there roughly. Yeah. I remember going to the swimming pool in the summers. you would take us, mom, and we would always stop at 7-Eleven or Toot totem after it to get a you'd buy us like a prize, a candy or whatever, and I'd always get a pack of Sport Flicks baseball cards every time.

37:52

Uh, I certainly remember dad making us sprint from your bedroom at the end of the hallway into that little living room and he would stopwatch us. He would time us.

38:02

I remember that the house that I used to come into your bedroom and we'd watch Tales from the Crypt. Yeah, that was that house. Yeah.

38:10

Um, how about Putty? You bastard. Yeah, Putty was there. You bastard. That No, you bastard. When Putty got hit on the street. Yeah, we had this cat Py who was my favorite pet of all time and she would she was like an indoor outdoor cat. She was outside. We came out to go somewhere and she ran across this busy street and got like rolled under the tire of a truck. Survived it somehow.

38:32

Bounced. She got bounced. Yeah. And you went running after the truck with your arms in the air saying, "You bastards." Yeah, I was pissed off because they didn't stop.

38:42

She survived. A lot of good memories in Emerald. A lot of baseball card memories for me. Emerald baseball world. Huh? The SWAT team.

38:52

Yeah. There was a SWAT team. Going to the math house behind us. Yeah. That was your friend. We can't say names, but we can do initials. JS that brought all the baseball cards. And then one night he got violently sick. Threw up in our master bathroom sink that had been plugged and clogged up. So it wasn't even working.

39:13

He threw up in there. Threw up in the toilet. Threw up in the shower. Threw up on the carpet. I'm sick. Thanks for home. We had to take the carpet out of that bathroom that night. Your dad like showered him off and kind of put him in. We had no clothes. So put him in I don't know something and took him home.

39:33

He also [ __ ] his pants simultaneously. Oh, he also [ __ ] his pants and [ __ ] of pants in that same bathroom.

39:38

Didn't they have a goldfish to be like 10 or something in like a just a [ __ ] bowl? It's in a bowl.

39:44

Got at the fair. All right. Um, good Emerald Memories. I have many more. I could do a whole hour on it, but we must move on.

39:52

I would have lived there forever. I like the size of the town. I would have lived there forever, but then your dad's job got transferred to It's got like

40:01

it's got beef like factory farming smells like [ __ ] 24/7 and now you're going to have the AI data center. So Amarill is

40:10

best data center in the world. Yeah. Um speaking of bad shape, our fourth topic is we are losing the war in Iran. This week saw new attacks and operations in the war with Iran that hit Saudi Arabia's east west crude oil pipeline causing Saudi Arabia to shut it down completely. With the Straight of Hormuz effectively closed, the pipeline was Saudi Arabia's main workaround, rerouting roughly 5 million barrels of oil a day. The International Energy Agency has called it the largest supply disruption in the history of the global oil market. Iran currently controls the straight of Hormuz, refusing to open it until the US meets its demands. Saudi

40:45

Arabia still owns the East West pipeline, but had to shut it down completely. And now a third means of oil transport, the Bob al- Mandeb uh a narrow straight at the southern entrance to the Red Sea is controlled by Iranbacked Houthi forces after a successful attack earlier this week. Iran and its allies now hold disruptive leverage over both straits while Saudi Arabia's alternative route is completely offline. Mom, why can't the United States military stop Iran from controlling the three biggest oil transport lanes in that region?

41:19

I think I don't understand that one. I don't know. It's because it's led by [ __ ] idiots. I think uh what I read is Iran wants to talk again. We're in a stalemate. Trump hopes the war that we can end this pretty quick.

41:36

Stalemate. Yeah. They could Iran and their allies control all three major lanes of transport for oil in that region. two straits and this east west pipeline.

41:48

I thought we were still actively in there and that we had things in there too. No, I know we have damaged their military some and their economy. Their economy is crushed.

42:00

Great. What about our economy? This is going to send gas prices are already the highest they've ever been. I saw something online where um Trump was a Trump was like saying get Obama out of office. gas prices are skyhigh. And then when he was running against Kla Harris, he was saying gas prices are going to go up 25% if you elect her. Under Trump, they have gone up 62%.

42:25

I know they're skyhigh. I have a friend who co owns like a mechanic shop with her husband. They can't afford to bring in like the oil, the valvalene anymore because of all of this. So they're thinking they may have to close.

42:43

Like it's literally ending entire [ __ ] business. Yeah. And he doesn't give a [ __ ] He could end this tomorrow. He could say, "Fuck it. We I made a mistake. We're pulling out. The war's over. Sorry everybody." He's not going to do that. He can't because obviously he has to project the idea that he's winning this war. The truth is we are losing this war. Do you agree with that? Do you think that we're winning the war in Iran? I don't think we're I don't think there's we win, they win. I had that on my notes. It's It's like we're in the

43:13

middle of a stalemate and somebody's got to give. I know if your dad was on here, he he would say we should have bombed just the [ __ ] out of them and then it would be done. Um cuz gosh, they have uh damaged a lot of our drones. Like millions of dollars of our drones now are going down. Yeah.

43:31

But that's because he put us in this war. It's It didn't even have to happen. I know. Also, thank you to um I got a DM and it was a man and he said, "Meroo, please don't go to the gas station with your jug and do that gas thing because it's very dangerous." So, I did not do it. I was thinking about doing it.

43:52

Dangerous how? That the gas can leak through the plastic of the milk jug and I'd be in trouble. So, thank you. And he was concerned and I didn't do it. So, thank you.

44:02

All right. Um, Mom, do you think that Donald Trump knows what he's doing in this war with Iran? Yes, I do. No. Yes, I do. Then why aren't we done?

44:11

Yeah, we will be done soon. You've been saying that we're on day 110 or something of this war. Mhm. Um, you've been saying that

44:22

we can't just pull out and quit. We have people that have that are over there now, our military. We have lost life. If we pull out now, that is like just saying oopsie to them. And that's not what America is about. 204 days.

44:39

How many more days? No, we've been in the war for 204 days. Wow. Yeah. And I have just told you all three major oil lines are are closed or they are controlled by Iran, their allies, or they've been destroyed to a point where they must be closed. So, what is his plan? You said he knows what he's doing. Is this part of the plan to lose control of uh every line of transit that moves oil? Is that part of the plan?

45:10

I think he's trying to bust their economy down to nothing. What about our economy? What's he trying to do to ours? Do you think the highest gas prices in the history of our country are part of his plan?

45:22

No. Okay. So, why is that happening then? And if it's not part of his plan and he knows what he's doing, why is this catastrophic rise in oil prices that affects everything? It's not just the gas you're putting in your car. It's I mean specifically the worst part of it is that diesel fuel is going up, which means transport cost for everything. Anything you buy, your food, your electronics, anything you buy, those transport costs are going up. Those costs are going to be put into the price of those goods and given to us. As Donald Trump raises the price on gas, we [ __ ] pay it.

46:00

It's happening. Also, like in my bakery, we get, you know, a large delivery from like a food distributor, you know, they bring us our ingredients and [ __ ] and they just tacked on a fee.

46:10

They like raised a fee for just delivery um because of all of this. And so my groceries are skyro a lot of that's imported, you know? So like I'm paying the tariff tax. I'm paying the [ __ ] the straight of Hormuz [ __ ] tax at this point. So uh small businesses are hurting because of this [ __ ]

46:30

And I would point you back, Mom. You say he knows what he's doing. I'd point you back to the school where I believe it was 140 children were murdered by the United States. They now are putting out a statement saying the reason they did that is because it was faulty AI and bad intelligence. So when you say Trump knows what he's doing in this war, he's using, at least per their admission, they're trying to blame it on other people. It's not their fault. It was bad intelligence, faulty AI. But they're the ones who decided to use that intelligence and use that faulty AI. So that's part of his plan is

47:04

to use what he is now openly admitting are uh bad lines of intel, bad technologies. So why do you think he's doing that as part of his plan?

47:15

I have no uh rebuttal on this other than this war has to stop. Well, they fired people that could have that could have

47:24

they fired the people that would have never let this happen in the first place, but if we are going to war, they fired all the people that could get us out of it. They're all gone. And now we have [ __ ] Heg Hespath.

47:34

Hespath. Hesp. But mom, you say every week. We've got to get out of this. It's going to be over soon. We're 204 days in.

47:45

So, what are we looking at here? 30 weeks roughly. Yes. How many more times are you going to say it? I will maintain it doesn't end until he's gone. I don't. Yeah, I agree it won't because he can't have in quotes a loss. He's got to stay there until he can somehow claim a victory in this war. And right now that's not possible because he doesn't control any of the [ __ ] oil. That's why he's going to Venezuela and kidnapping the president and being like, well, we've got Venezuelan oil now.

48:20

So, mom, I'm just not going to let you get off the hook here by saying it's got to end soon. It's not ending any time until Donald Trump is out of office. We are seeing that 204 days.

48:32

I think it will end before he is out of office. And I can't even believe I just thought this, but I did. When are midterms? What if he does it right before midterms?

48:43

He's already said he's not going to. And we get out. He's already said he's not going to. He already said that. Yes. He said that the gas prices aren't going to come down till after midterms. He said that.

48:56

Okay. So, I'm pretty sure, let me Google this. JD Vance came on and said something about like just give us two more years and we'll and we'll turn it all around.

49:08

Two more years, [ __ ] No. No. But mom, what I'm trying to get at is you always just kind of um he did predict that gas prices will come tumbling downward right after the November midterm elections, framing the current price gas price spikes as temporary side effect of the ongoing war with Iran, which of course he he created.

49:29

There you go. But you always are doing this thing whenever we talk about the war in Iran and and and most of what this show is now is me and Haley just trying to get you over this last hurdle to denounce Trump. Sorry, Haley.

49:41

To finally say Trump is bad. He's not my president. Right. And the war with Iran is a big one because it obviously it's not just about gas prices. It's about destabilization in that region. It's about Russia maybe coming in and helping out and China. It's about potentially World War II coming out of this, something that you always thought Biden was going to be responsible for, which obviously he was not.

50:05

Um, you keep saying every week you you keep just kind of like dodging the question or dodging this uh topic by saying it's got to end soon. He's going to end it soon.

50:17

I truly believe it will. I I don't know why, but I do. Fine. Okay, that's fine. But you've been saying it every week for 204 days.

50:26

I know. So, at some point saying it's going to end soon. It's It hasn't ended soon. You You acknowledge that, right? What can I do to make it end? There's nothing I can do as one little person sitting here with my red hat on.

50:41

I'm not asking you to beside me with her gray hat on. I am not asking you to end the war in Iran. Okay?

50:47

None of us have that capability. I am. So, quit beating it. So, quit. What I'm asking you to do No. What I'm asking you to do is

50:55

beating me up. I'm not beating you up. I'm just asking you to take a look at how much time has passed and every I remember when I said to you I I know Chad. I remember when I said to you I thought it would end in five to six weeks.

51:08

Yes. So that was not true. Right. He's a sack of [ __ ] leader and you don't believe in him. I don't believe the five to six weeks. That's for sure.

51:17

Right. But all this stuff that I'm trying to tell you about like you think he has a plan and I say like what is the plan? Was it to have gas prices go up? Was it to lose control of all of the transit lanes of oil in the Middle East? Is that part of the plan? and you're like, "No, I don't think so." Okay. Well, that's what's happening. So, even if he did have a plan, currently the plan didn't work,

51:38

right? Right. They're not just sitting around twiddling their thumbs. They're trying to figure this out and trying to end it. Well, maybe they maybe they're not. He's also dealing with the Kennedy Center and opening his new golf course and all of the other [ __ ] putting gold trim around the White House.

51:54

He has a whole cabinet. Yep. All right. Well, let's um then move on to something else he's dealing with. This is a topic that I didn't send you guys because it just happened this morning. Um Trump posted on Truth Social about his triumphal arch. He posted this. These are Donald Trump's words. At the strong request of the United States military and for national security purposes, I have agreed to convert the magnificent triumphal arch planned since the Civil War era many years ago at the receptive circle adjoining the Arlington Memorial Bridge into a top grade military complex/ the triumphal arch to house, store, and

52:42

have the rapid ability to use large numbers of drugs. drones plus snipers on both the roof and plaza areas. I'm still going. He wrote all this [ __ ]

52:53

on both the roof and plaza areas and additionally have and hold large quantities of sniper ammunition in storage. There will be no facility like this anywhere in the world. Out of the 59 top cities and capitals, Washington DC, all caps is the only one in the world that does not have a triumphal arch. But it will now and by far the greatest of them all. Thank you for your attention to this matter, President Donald J. Trump. So

53:17

that's terrifying. Yeah. So this thing that he wants to build, this triumphal arch, he is now saying it's not just some decorative uh monument, you know, that he wants to [ __ ] erect in his own image. He's now going to use it to house, store, and have the rapid ability to use large numbers of drones plus snipers on both the roof and plaza areas and additionally hold large quantities of sniper ammunition.

53:41

Sounds like Hitler to me. Yeah. Why do you think Why do you think Trump wants to put snipers on top of his triumphal arch?

53:53

He's going after somebody. He He doesn't want people coming after him. He's a bad man. All of these things that are like military bunkers in and around DC.

54:07

So, he's doing it with the ballroom. You We've talked about that millions of times on this [ __ ] show at this point. under the ballroom. He's building this high-tech military bunker again with snipers. He loves having these weird sniper [ __ ] vents and drones can fly in and out and all this kind of [ __ ] So, he's trying to militarize DC in a way that will protect him when what he thinks I I personally believe he thinks there's going to be some kind of military resistance to what he's doing.

54:36

H this is some Hitler [ __ ] This is Nazi Germany [ __ ] I think the underground thing is not only for him, but it's for presidents in the future, too.

54:44

No, it's not. Come on. Like, he's doing anything for anyone but himself. Yeah. I think it's for the people in the future. He doesn't care about preservation of anything. He just wants his name on [ __ ] and he wants to kill everybody that's coming for him.

54:57

Okay. Do you think the snipers on top of the triumphal archer for presidents in the future? I think it's ridiculous. Okay. So, another X. Yes, that would be an X and drones up there ready to attack people. It's stupid.

55:13

Well, I mean, he's doing it. We'll see. You always say that. Yeah, correct. This is You're like, as the show has progressed in the past couple of months.

55:24

What am I supposed to say? [ __ ] this guy. Yes, you're supposed to think about these things. [ __ ] this guy.

55:30

Well, we Well, on Wednesday, we might be looking at how many X's you have put against Donald Trump. Oh, dear God. tallying those. Okay. You have one thing that you always go back to with Trump, which is he closed the border.

55:44

All of the other stuff that we talk about on this show now, ICE, war in Iran, triumphal arch, gas prices. Uh we didn't even talk about this this week. This narrowly missed the list. His kid Donald Trump Jr. got married and the wedding in part was paid for this by this Russian oligarch who has known ties to trafficking children. Oh, I just thought he was a Russian person and that they paid him back.

56:12

That's what I read. Second, they paid him back and Melania distanced herself from all of it. Said I had I didn't know anything about it.

56:21

Right. Smart. Um I'm just saying there are all these negative things that mount up mount up mount up. And now when we talk about one of them, you're doing it now even. Okay, fine. Let's move on. Move on. You you don't want to acknowledge what we're talking about

56:37

Wednesday. No, you don't want to acknowledge these things. And your new stop moving your new strategy is to say, "Well, we'll see it. It's going to, you know, the war will end soon. We'll see." Or, "Okay, move on."

56:50

I don't want to move on. I want you to look at these things and absorb what you're saying to me and Haley about like abolish ICE or that you're against the war or all these things that you consider to be exes. [ __ ] absorb that.

57:04

I will. Imagine how many times you've been against Trump on all this stuff, yet you still support Trump. Why? I support our country. I believe in our country to to stand.

57:18

But he's not the country. He's just some piece of [ __ ] that's ruining it. I I understand. You're also doing this strange thing where you say like you you feel or at least what is implied in what you're saying is you feel some obligation to support Trump because you believe he's the symbol of our country that like if you don't support the president you're anti-American maybe. Is that how you feel?

57:40

Yes. Okay. I believe in our America. I believe in our USA. Right. But that's a lie because you did not feel that way when Biden was in office.

57:50

No. I just didn't like him as president. I still believed in our country. Yes. But you did not say he's my president ever. Not once. In fact, quite the opposite.

58:00

Like him as our president. You're correct. But you also don't like Donald Trump as our president. You don't. Right now, he is our president.

58:10

So, okay. That you don't have to like him. You said xxxxx. You don't even like him. And that little thing that you just did. Well, right now he is our president. You never did that once with Biden

58:24

or Obama? No. I would say in my mind they won't be here for so many more years and then it will be better. You know that their time will be up and then it will be better.

58:35

Right. What I'm trying to get you to understand is with Trump, you're using the strange excuse that is like, well, he is our president and I believe in America. But you never used that excuse with Biden or Obama.

58:46

So because I was I've always been an American. I have always believed in our United States. I'm not disputing that. I'm saying with these other presidents,

58:56

you were able to disconnect the idea of the president from being American. And you even per your own admission here thought that being a good American meant denouncing those presidents, saying they will be out soon and things will be better.

59:11

Can you do that with Trump? Just say he will be out soon and things will be better. No, I voted for him. So far, I'm standing tall. that and that's the point I'm trying to make here. Why can't you do that? You you are against almost everything that he stands for all of his decisions.

59:28

I don't know, Chad. Right now, I just can't yet. I I know. And that's fine. I'm just asking you to like ask yourself that question and really think about it.

59:36

I will I'll think about it tonight. Okay. As she laughs, that's a [ __ ] You never You're never thinking about it. Let me We have one more topic, but I did want to get

59:47

for approval. Do not approve. do not approve. We kind of got to hurry, remember? Okay. Yes, I have one more topic that I do want to get to.

59:54

He just keeps pulling it down of us. Go ahead. Yeah, that's the show we do every [ __ ] week. We have I pull it out of you. Okay. Uh, this is our final topic. Trump is poisoning us. This week, authoritarian dictator Donald Trump announced that under his control, the EPA will repeal federal limits on greenhouse gas emissions from the nation's coal and gas fired power plants. The move eliminates Biden era rules that would have required existing coal plants and the most heavily used new gas plants to sharply cut their carbon dioxide pollution, including a requirement that certain new gas plants eventually capture 90% of their carbon

1:00:28

starting in the 2030s. Power plants are the second largest source of planet warming carbon d carbon dioxide in the United States behind transportation. You with us, mom?

1:00:37

Yeah. Oh my god. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Sail away. Hey, I'm so sorry. It's off. And I had thrown my notes away and I had to go down to get them.

1:00:52

The administration is also moving to scrap the EPA's 2009 endangerment finding, the legal determination that greenhouse gases threaten public health, a step that can make it easier to unwind other climate rules. The Environmental Defense Funds preliminary analysis projected the added pollution could cause more than 80,000 additional premature deaths and over $1 trillion in extra health costs through 2047. Are you listening to anything I'm saying?

1:01:15

I've read that whole thing and I have notes. I'm trying to find my notes. Many owners and CEOs of these power companies are supporters of authoritarian dictator Donald Trump, like Joe Craft, CEO of Alliance Resource Partners, the largest coal producer in the Eastern United States. He and his wife, Kelly Craft, who was Trump's former UN ambassador, are longtime GOP mega donors that were once described as the largest coal donors to Trump um giving to all of his stuff. Mom, why do you think authoritarian dictator Donald Trump is allowing power plants to release more poison into the atmosphere?

1:01:54

Cuz he getting paid. He don't give a [ __ ] about the American public because it's going to reduce costs. No. of like 300 billion and make electricity more generation. I just told you.

1:02:11

But if you are if you are an environmentalist and on that side those people hate this, but the people that want electric power uh cheaper kind of like this idea, maybe.

1:02:26

Okay, so you clearly didn't listen to anything I said. The Environmental Defense Fund's preliminary analysis projected the added pollution could cause more than 80,000 additional premature deaths and over 1 trillion dollar in extra health costs through 2047. So where is it lowering the costs again?

1:02:45

In electricity. Okay. But not deaths. Uhhuh. It's literally it's killing us. And he doesn't [ __ ] gaff because they are giving him money.

1:02:59

Yeah. Did you not hear all of that? The people who own these big power plants and these coal producing power plants, many of them are his largest donors. So, he's giving them the ability to kill us all so that they will make more money. That's what's happening.

1:03:16

H like clean energy exists. If we all just [ __ ] got on board, we could save the planet. But there's greed and corruption involved. So, we're all going to [ __ ] die at the hands of Donald Trump and all these billionaires that don't give a [ __ ]

1:03:29

We need to work together. That's for sure. Well, ain't nobody working with Donald Trump. Yeah. So, when you say stuff like that, we need to work together. Do you think Donald Trump thinks that? Do you think Donald Trump wants to work together?

1:03:42

Yes, I do. He pulled us out of like all of the [ __ ] like the Green New Deal like all of the things that we used to be a part of as a country that like contributed to the better of you know the whole

1:03:55

the working out of that yeah the Paris climate accord that is literally every country working together to reduce emissions so that we wouldn't tip over that 1.5° C uh global temperature increase

1:04:09

right the UN I think this was last week or the week before we talked about this the UN just issued their report saying, "Ah, you [ __ ] that one up. That's out the window. Now we have to hunker down and survive all of this horrible [ __ ] that's about to come." And I'm sure you've been experiencing it in Oklahoma. How many days did you have over 100 degrees this summer?

1:04:28

We were a dust bowl. There's like 40ome days, I think. Over 100. Well, I'm still getting [ __ ] hit. When I get in my car, my car reads 115 degrees.

1:04:39

Yeah, we had some some days here in LA that were bad, too. When you're saying like we need to work together, Trump is literally doing the opposite.

1:04:51

Okay. X maybe. Do you think Trump has the average American's best interest in mind when he p when he passes stuff like this where he says coal plants can pollute as much as they want so my friend can get rich. 80,000 premature deaths.

1:05:13

No, of course not. Okay, I guess you're done now with the podcast. You're giving me one word answers. Why didn't you talk Why didn't you talk about Weekend at Bernie's? Mitch McConnell

1:05:27

because we didn't have time. We can do it. Weekend at the Senate. This week, Mitch McConnell returned to the capital after being out of public view for 92 days and after being hospitalized due to a fall at his Washington home on June 14th. He hadn't cast a Senate vote since June 11th and missed dozens of votes during the stretch. On Monday, he cast his first vote since June, providing uh the deciding vote on a procedural motion to advance the nomination of Matthew R.

1:05:51

Burn to the US District Court judge for the Southern District of Ohio. Later in the week, on Thursday, he voted yay on a procedural vote to advance a bipartisan college sports bill, though he skipped two later votes that afternoon. On Monday outside the Senate chamber, he told reporters his in his characteristically dry style. That was my own editorial contribution. Maybe they'll ban me from the White House. That after decades of dodging their questions, he wasn't sure how many would show up, but he was glad to see them and that it was time to get back to work. Notably, after that first day, um

1:06:24

his team largely kept him from being seen. Notably, after that first day, his team largely kept him from being seen or speaking on camera. On Thursday, he was filmed being loaded into an SUV, staring into space, and making no indication that he heard or even understood that reporters were asking him for comments.

1:06:44

Did you see this video of him, Mom? Where he's he's like, "Yes, Chad, you bullied him." Bullied him and I laughed at it and I shouldn't have.

1:06:52

Okay, we're trying to be nice. I'm not trying to be nice. He's a piece of [ __ ] Yeah, I agree. He's a He's an [ __ ] this

1:06:59

alien. Ailien. Just cuz he's alien in his health doesn't make him less a piece of [ __ ] That's not nice. Mom, my question is, what other job can you miss three months and then show up and be completely unresponsive and seem to not know where you are and still have that job?

1:07:19

Can't think of one. Also, he got paid for all that [ __ ] and we don't even have like regulated maternity leave in the United States.

1:07:26

Can't think of one. Yeah. So, what do you think should happen to Mitch McConnell? Fire that [ __ ] He should be out and someone else should be in.

1:07:34

[ __ ] can. Okay. Interesting. I agree 100%. He should be out. Um, well, that's it. That was our final topic. We did get through all of these. Thank you for indulging. Thank you for joining us. I will be back later tonight doing

1:07:50

doing a live at 6 PM PDT. Join me for that on our YouTube channel. I assume neither of you are going to join me.

1:07:57

I'm I'll be on the road again. Gallivanting. Gallivanting. I'm just going home. Okay. Anti-gallivant. Mom, you're not going to join me, right? Probably not.

1:08:11

That's a no. So, join me tonight at 6 PM PDT. I'll be holding it down as usual. I will be abandoned by the other members of my family.

1:08:20

Why don't you just do it with Chad? It's 1 hour right now. I might be if I'm awake. I got woke up last night. It was not a good night.

1:08:29

Okay, I'll see you at 6 p.m. PDT. No one else will be with me. And thank you for joining us. We'll be back Wednesday with I'm I'm planning to do something kind of interesting. So, um join us for that if you dare. Yeah, I might be ill on Wednesday.
