America is deeply divided there are only two sides to every issue and there is no interest in finding common ground not even with members of your own family but as the 2024 presidential election Looms on the horizon there has never been a more important time to have the necessary conversation welcome to the necessary conversation we are recording this on on Sunday July 14th one day after the assassination attempt on Donald Trump and that's going to be our only topic today it is a wide ranging topic it covers a lot of different areas in American politics it's having a some effect we don't really know yet on the political landscape and this upcoming presidential election so we're just going to be talking about that today his dad around he is here I have to wake him up but he's here we had all right I'm Chad colchin by the way host of this podcast with my sister Haley Pope and my mom and dad Bob Maru culton just for those who may be new to this show me and my sister are far left leaning I would almost consider myself an anarchist and my parents are both deep in the Maga cult they believe Donald Trump is a God our only possibility of uh being saved from the evils of the satanic jobit So Yesterday Donald Trump almost got killed now I want us all to go around and talk about how we uh became aware of the information what was that moment like for each of us and maybe what were you doing at the time all right he said almost Haley how about you how did you find this out uh so I was working I was at the bakery and my buddy and cooworker Cat and I One Day prior were kind of fantasizing about something like this happening we talk about this often like hey maybe he'll just [ __ ] die uh so I go to the register to like help a customer I go to the back I'm just [ __ ] around on my phone and I was like yeah and she goes oh I know and we were just like frantically reading like did he die did he [ __ ] die right and then you know we realized it was a graze or whatever and it was like oh uh okay so now you know I don't know we were hopeful for a minute yeah um I also was working and this is how I found out I was I was preparing to record a different podcast I do called game of roses so I was getting all my things in order for what we're going to have to do for that and I received a phone call from you Mom in tears I answer it yes I answer it mom is in tears simply saying they shot him Chad they shot him and I swear to you I thought you were talking about Dad I thought dad had popped off uh and gotten gunned down in the driveway or something I literally didn't know you know who you were talking about so that was a little um disconcerting for me but then you told me they shot Trump and I had the same reaction as you did Haley and by the way I think I would have the same reaction if it was Biden that either one of them are dying and so we can move forward in this country with anyone new I wasn't you know happy to hear that anybody got shot I'm not a fan of like violence or people being killed or anything but I think Trump and Biden are uniquely positioned as people who can control the entire world or at least present that at its face and so it's a different thing and if they get shot it's kind of like well you don't have to run for president you you don't have to be out front doing this it's kind of on you in my opinion and certainly Trump's case it is so so you both said you fantasized that maybe he would get shot and that maybe he would that's what's WR with our country right now that's what's daily think about like how different would this be if they [ __ ] died same it would be terrible our country think terrible hang on a minute how many times have you said Biden needs to die or go to jail Dad is constantly talking about murdering children in Palestine like to start to take a high horse right now you simply can't do it let someone that does not have dementia brain take the wheel he needs to step away okay well this is not you said for the entirety of this podcast both of you guys I don't feel bad about like any of this [ __ ] because Donald Trump wants to [ __ ] murder people at the border um he's taking away everyone's right like I don't feel bad about not at all fantasizing about them [ __ ] dying I don't feel guilty about that [ __ ] at all they're both criminals that's what's wrong with our country right Dad and we're gonna get we're gonna get into this yeah how did you guys find out about it all right we were the only ones in the family watching it live on TV rally that was in Butler Pennsylvania we watched all of his rallies okay it was maybe what seven minutes in or whatever um I had actually went outside with Kitty came right back in when I came in the back door dad yelled shots fired they're they're trying to take him down from there we just kept watching when I did talk to you on the phone Chad and Haley in a text you both said it's fake that it is yeah I did too okay so you can fake someone's head being blown off I didn't know about the head blow off for a little while fire a fire man what did they say that he did in the fire um he was what fire chief he was a fire chief he was ome years old his head was blown off yes I now think it was F I think it was real now staged by you got to say that online here it was staged by Obama and Biden and clintons they tried to assassinate the president and they [ __ ] up and the C let me ask you this then okay well let's is gonna be your next president hang on let's take what dad just said at face value and let's go down this path dad believes that this was staged by Obama Biden and who Clinton it was the CIA I'll tell you this Secret Service was in on it the whole way okay Secret Service sorry goad we were watching it on TV as we watched it we don't know how many uh bang bang bangs but eight shots were fired from an AR style rifle by a man named Thomas Matthew Crooks who was 20 years old a registered Republican who had also given money to some democratic causes okay here's the deal what I'm trying to tell you we saw it live and dad said I don't know how many shots were fired but I heard five or six at least so we continued to watch Trump went down the Secret Service came pretty damn slow around him they it was immediate their reaction was immediate okay not really but I've seen the video not really but on then we see um from there dad goes oh my my god look right behind he said there's a woman she's slumped over and down around somebody he said I bet someone else got shot yeah we continue to watch um I think there were three or four agents around him we hear on on the clip on my count it was one two three on my count they raised him up you hear Trump say don't forget my shoes you see his hand go up in the air like I'm all right and then he yelled out um fight fight fight fight fight fight all the way as they whisked him away to the car and they left from there it was chaos and it did continue to show the person that Dad thought on that second or third thing that got hit uh there were two women beside him and they kept putting up like a band like help us help us um there was a doctor I don't know if he was in the stands or close by he came to that man's assistance and he has said in a report once he saw the brain matter they just he couldn't do CPR anymore and they put the towel over his head and they showed that man by two arms and two legs being drug out we saw that yeah I told you that Chad you said it was staged it was fake well I now have seen the news of it and and I believe that that is what happened but I think it's telling that both both Haley and I's initial reaction to this upon hearing what's going on is that it was fake for me it's because Donald Trump is a reality TV show host who also did pro wrestling Chad Chad both of those are facts both of those are facts the thing that we saw in hang on hang on what's he saying what's Dad yelling about he doesn't want to listen to you guys saying stuff like that are ignorant Donald Trump you talk you talk about murdering [ __ ] entire Obama and Biden just tried to kill their opposition which is well Biden can do because the Supreme Court said that as long presidential action it's they can't be prosecuted so if I was Biden that's what I do right now I would take credit for this and I would say this was a presidential action you can't prosecute me and I will keep trying to kill Trump until I get coming yes that's if I was B SE nothing yet you ain't seen nothing because Trump will not back down NE Democrats want it all to calm down and be good now CU it's their [ __ ] turn to take some lead yeah we'll see I I do think there's going to be some kind of politically violent reaction to this but let me ask you this you believe that these uh you know Biden Obama who else are you saying the clintons these are I'm saying CIA I'm saying CIA was involved they also had a man he has given three to four reports stating I saw saw he can't look if he wants to be on the podcast he's got to that he saw I can't hear him when he's just screaming in the background there there there's a guy that gave a report that said he saw the 20-year-old shooter up on that roof telling the Secret Service look look up there why are you letting him up there go get that guy by the time they got up there they were all set up boom boom boom why did they take so long well me you what this back up and take this out its face you guys are you're proposing the premise that Barack Obama Joe Biden and the clintons orchestrated this or were in control of it in conjunction with the Secret Service or CIA or the CIA okay exact what they did okay so why would those people who have immense political power and the ability to get anybody they want to do this get a 20-year-old kitchen worker to do it CU then they could shoot him and be done with it they could do that to anybody they could kill him nobody care they think that it wasn't rigged they think that that's why's that's why he's a registered Republican that gave 500 [ __ ] dollars a 20 year old kid gave 500 [ __ ] dollars to the most liberal left-wing organization in the Democratic party okay I don't know about that but okay so now you guys are proposing this rather insane conspiracy theory that the current president the former president and the president before him and his wife all orchestrated this and when we say our initial reaction was that it's fake you find that to be offensive I'm not saying all those people I'm saying our CIA I'm saying it was an inside job when I first it was a government a government hit within our government tried to take him down here's the flaw in the logic if it's be an inside government [ __ ] takeout job why aren't we just doing it like while he's getting on a plane while he's on the [ __ ] plane why aren't we just doing it whenever we feel like it like you're not making sense and why wasn't it successful like that's the the bigger thing is like why not hire somebody or get somebody who's gonna hit the shot do the actual job I don't know then they could trace it back probably if may let me let me propose something else let me propose something else happening my stomach was all like oh my God Kennedy it's all it's happening again what happened to Kenn Donald Trump is not Kennedy no he's a lot better he's Gonna Save the country he's way better than Kennedy and he's Gonna Save Our Country anyway that those files were sealed for what 50 years and we all know why that was an inside job I mean yeah it's pretty a pretty widely held belief that yes the CIA kill Ken Civ War has started D said Civil War has started I think that's because generally speaking um the CIA or any government apparatus is largely right leaning and the reason they killed Kennedy is because there was a giant cultural change happening with uh civil rights Kennedy was all for that his brother obviously was for it he also got assassinated so did all of the civil rights leaders of that era just one after the other and Trump is going to make big changes too and they don't want that they have tried to take him to court they have tried to all of his money what's the last thing left shoot him right so could it be that or could it be this this is one of many uh incoming gen Z US citizens who feel completely hopeless about the American political landscape and their prospects of a future as an American and so he's like screw it I'm killing this guy that seems far more likely to me could that be because for the last how many years they've been saying Trump is Hitler Trump does this Trump is so bad those things are true because he is qu that we need to all come together quit the [ __ ] I just want to look at your little lovely faces when the other shoe is on the foot it's coming what the Sho be on the other foot he has to yell if he's sitting that far away it's coming your way what do you mean it's coming my way it's coming the way I want to ask you this I want to ask you you guys are G have deaths to mount up to did you have anger toward Haley and I because of this sure because of the way you're acting which is how having a conversation with you about it no you're acting like it doesn't matter and you're stupid and ignorant you may you made me upset on the phone and in text saying it was staged it was fake right from start before there was any information out about it corre before it was staged it was fake I said it was not we watched it on TV watch and I now believe it was not fake I'm telling you we are now in a new Civil War and you are on the wrong side versus your parents I'm not on a side and I'm not versus you I don't like any of it I'm I'm still shocked even after pick a [ __ ] side no I don't I'm not I'll never pick a side I'll never pick a side still shocked because this all for us started around 2016 and still even every time we do this kind of [ __ ] would never happen I I told you you were full of crap I am completely shocked at their fanaticism like I just it doesn't my brain is not registering that our parents would like [ __ ] I I mean Dad talks like like we aren't his kids sometimes over this over Donald Trump I know and and I'm Donald Trump I am shocked that they are this [ __ ] fanatical about Donald Trump and it blows my mind every [ __ ] time you would trade Us in [ __ ] Donald Trump he's your only [ __ ] hope for your kids to grow up with to he and he's not alive your kid's life is over what do you mean kid will be will be altered if he is President um we have already talked about literally [ __ ] leaving this country if he is elected president and it's a very real possibility he's going to be your next president I think he wins now for sure the only chance be your president I mean one thing that this shooting did do the the left operated a little bit at least in the political sphere with this idea of a kind of moral High Ground like Donald Trump is shitty and he's the one riing up his base to commit violent Acts he was behind January 6th etc etc now this thing is coming out I saw I forget who it was uh JD Vance maybe one of the the vice presidential potentials for Trump has come out and said this is Biden's fault he gave a press conference where he said we've got Trump in the crosshairs and that made people go crazy and so it's his fault so that's not true I don't think but it can sound true the the pieces line up to make that a logical statement and so and I there was another like a week ago B Midler said do whatever you have to do Biden uh take Midler is not a politician it doesn't matter the the uh the fact that there is now this rhetoric being spun around that it's Biden who's actually inciting political violence it will take hold in the rightwing in the Maga mind and so now the the moral High Ground of the left is gone it it just holds no water that was kind of like the last piece of the puzzle that I think the right needed to eliminate in order to have just a straight run into it I also think that it is just that picture that's going around that all mainstream media is using of Donald Trump being carried away blood on his face and he's pumping his fist and there's an American flag behind him that's the poster it's over like I I just don't think what's that yeah he's won the election for sure now against Biden yes I don't think Biden can beat him at all I think there's no chance of it it would have to be somebody completely new then I think you get to a everything that's kind of happened before including whatever kind of Goodwill Trump has gotten from this assassination survival slate and it's like I don't care about all that sad you got shot at I'm not Biden let's have this debate yeah what about the um the topic earlier this week Biden said we're going to put Trump in a bullseye right that's what I was saying and now the right is grasping on to that and saying well this clearly that was a coded message and that's why this guy did that I mean weren't there several instances where Trump literally [ __ ] said [ __ ] on Twitter that incited violence yes of course but now so why but the left used to be able to say we don't do that now they can't even though I don't think it's really true I don't think that's what Biden was trying to send coded language to try and kill trump it doesn't matter the the like face level facts of it ly up out of here move yeah here's the deal what why why why are dad and I so dad is screaming if you don't like America get the [ __ ] out of here and move I never said I don't like America I love La Haley doesn't she's ready to move she said yeah I am I hate it here I hate it here if we could move tomorrow we would see goodbye here's what you two don't have that your father and I have always had yeah it's called patriotism correct it's called Pride you're right you're right it's called yeah okay so you're just cutting down all your grandparents and their not their people that fought in the War yes you are no I'm not you're also cutting down your dad that was in the Air Force that's this is weird [ __ ] imaginary [ __ ] that you're just spewing that's not true at all I don't have any less respect or anything for any of our family members get the [ __ ] out of here or anyone currently in the military or doing any kind of governmental work I I don't feel any type way about that everybody's free to make their own choices in this life in this country to do whatever they want for a job to sacrifice as much as their of their life for the country as they want I am simply not that person and that's I think one of the great things about this country is you get to pick what life you want to lead so see then why why you don't deserve to live here why do you live in the United States because you're a loser if you don't iism I live here because I was born here like I was born in this country I have set up a life in this country I don't like the direction that it's going therefore I want to leave this country but it's not as easy as just packing my [ __ ] and nobody's stopping you a lot of things are stopping me pack your [ __ ] up and go what's stopping you money a [ __ ] business money in a business yeah we've rooted here relocate those I was I was G I was gonna say where you gonna get where you gonna you mad we need to see Dad on camera for this please he's mad because yall are cutting our United States down and when to get like the war started you're not gonna get set on the [ __ ] fence with a post up your ass where are you going in this war where are you going what side are you on you Tak to the street I'm on Donald Trump's side and I will arm myself and do what ready to go you're gonna arm yourself and do what guns I understand what arming yourself means you're going to pick up a gun and then do what all I gotta do is tell me who they want I'm going godamn what does that mean the people in charge you know you know what from now on you and Haley do not deserve to hear my opinion about [ __ ] why why do you think that though because you already made you [ __ ] Choice what I'm telling you I'm not on either side myice it doesn't mattered he doesn't stupid [ __ ] dads and brothers and aunts and uncles fought each other we're gonna do it again no but the that original Civil War the original American Civil War was two separate military factions no we're gonna have separate military factions now you dumb ass what military faction are you going to join they're dumb asses they're they're [ __ ] you you're saying it's going to be two separate military factions again which military faction are you going to join who is going to enlist a 70y old man Join one that's already you're saying Democrats Republicans so what if you don't identify as a democrat or a republican where where are me and Chad then don't America you fail to understand that neither of us you fail Joe bid this is the only country in the world where you can do what you're doing now and if you let Biden win you know what your your children and our grandchildren's life is totally [ __ ] okay well Biden has been in office for four years and everybody's life is fine oh okay do you like do you like going out to eat and for Dad and I just to go to Sonic if we would go to Sonic it is now $30 for two people to eat at a Sonic is that fine is that okay with you I'm not saying there aren't problems and obviously inflation is one of them homelessness is one of them but for the most part what what's he saying he's not in a good Mar I said Jesus [ __ ] Christ Jesus [ __ ] Christ let's move on to another piece of this um Trump came out and said that he was saved by God aanka came out and said that her mother her dead mother Ivana was looking over Trump and that's why the bullet Miss there you are do you believe that and if so did God hate the person whose head got exploded no what I believe is that he didn't get killed for a reason yeah and you and you two ignorant [ __ ] are G to figure out what that reason is before it's over okay when you say he didn't get killed for a reason that implies that there is some kind of overarching power who yes saved him who is that power no there's what you call Faith yeah and the Fate is that he's going to be your next president okay so you believe it was fate yeah you believe in predeterminism I believe that that's what fate is what what is happening right now Donald Trump is gonna be president of the United States nobody can stop it it's in it's already chiseled in a tablet okay so let me ask you this if you're a predetermined if you believe everything is mapped out According to some grand plan be it a oh here we go again you're the one issuing this statement that it is fate Donald Trump will be the president hey first of all this whole conversation's full of [ __ ] because you and Haley don't have a jack [ __ ] thing to say about what's gonna happen I'm asking you questions and I I'm curious about the answers because I especially time no you're not you're just trying to kill time no I want to know the answer to this question if you would be so kind as to give it to me if you believe in pred determinism that that certain events in the world are faded or maybe all events or that God has a grand plan from which none of us can deviate why do you ever get mad at anything if everything that happens in reality is according to some divine plan because I don't know what the predetermination is okay so you're just reacting to the base human kind of animal Instinct all right on [ __ ] mom do you believe that Trump was saved by God in a way I do because I do believe in God I believe in prayers after he got shot I did a quick little snippet thing on the account that said prayers for his family um and the people involved the other families and someone said prayers equals begging well you better start begging you Beggars I'm sorry I don't understand I do believe in prayer I do believe in prayer believe if his head would have been turned like three more inches one way he would have been gone just like the man behind him right um and it wasn't fake like you guys thought I think we know that now more and more stuff is going to come out or maybe not because if it was a CIA it will all be secret service whoever it was it's all going to be hidden now why here's what I don't understand there was a guy he had on a trump visor with the Trump hair you know the fuzzy hair and advisor MH he said I told the police and there were some other people to look up that the guy with the 20-year-old shooter was on that roof three minutes before Trump got hit it's worse than that there are multiple reports that have come out saying that police knew about that guy that he was acting weird around metal detectors and multiple people told the police and the police told the Secret Service that dude is acting weird like before he ever even went in the building so why didn't they get him ahead of time because they wanted Trump dead perhaps I don't know yes that's the only reason yeah it could be I'm not exactly sure or is our security that Ina that they course remember when Obama was in office and some dude ran into the White House no I don't well some dude just ran into the White House and was like in there you know potentially there to kill him nobody knows uh why he was there but yeah I think security is much worse than we all think it is for presidents and people at the highest levels but I want to get back to this God thing you believe that some kind of divine intervention happened to bend the bullet or to move Trump's head one way or the other it's it's just the same by the grace of God he survived I think yes that same God I know you don't believe in God we don't need to get into that [ __ ] either you were raised about there is a God I'm simply trying to get to the IC of it if God was the one who intervened to save Trump God also then was the one who killed this other innocent guy that was just there that day right just like heaven and hell if you believe in heaven then you have to believe in Hell a good a bad a devil or not you got to believe in two teams get on one team you can't be a fence Raider that dichotomy I mean it's so entrenched in your guys way of thinking that it's good versus evil in all cases and if you're not good you are evil that simply isn't the actuality of things or you're a patriot or you're not and neither one of you are correct so that's another weird two te thing for our United States that's a part the United States is a poorly run Corporation I I don't have allegiance to any corporations I I don't know how else to say it and that is what our country is it is a moneymaking corporation maybe someday when we're when you are putting your dad in the ground and me together because we'll go together you know how to do this we've told you and you are handed the [ __ ] American flag we'll see then if you have patriotism no I won't not for America I I value dad's service in the military as it's a part of his life I'm giving it to somebody else I'll give it to somebody else that has patriotism let me ask you this about this patriotism thing do you think we're at a point in American history where you should be patriotic do you think America's in a good place yeah yes you need to be patriotic or our country is not going to survive yeah okay well let me move on to this topic the kid that shuh shot at Trump used an AR style rifle do you think this is caused for gun control at all no we've talked about this before in podcast fuing dad bought it yeah talk and so what if that type of rifle was not allowed to be purchased in the United States well it was when he bought it because he bought it legally I understand and so what if you couldn't buy it legally that's the question yes isn't part of project 2025 and I know Trump's trying to distance himself from it but we know that's all [ __ ] but isn't part of 2025 like just [ __ ] Wild West style anybody any gun no restrictions that's good deal that way we without any hesitation I have no idea I just I read he's not involved it's not part of his it's he's not in it now I'm pretty sure his press secretary has like been on the Heritage website like delivering speeches don't know I really don't know about 2025 I don't you should probably look into it waste of time oh so let's move on to Biden's reaction to this he has come out and completely denounced it and said we can't have political violence in this country how long how long did it take him to come out and talk about it he do want political violence now because now the shoes on the other foot wasn't it two to three hours after it happened but he called Trump as soon as he could he had a personal phone call with him as well wishing him well and making sure everything was okay okay but what you're saying Biden's reaction was like not good enough I'm saying it was late I heard it was late what should it have been in your opinion as soon as it happened I guess yeah I saw an article I don't know if this is right or not I did not fact check but I read that the [ __ ] going on yeah I read that Donald Trump made fun of Pelosi's husband when he was almost murdered in his house like a funny tweet making fun of it just putting that out there yeah Hammer to the head hammer to the Head yeah and you guys made fun of him as well so yeah we did with this regard should we me and Haley be equally outraged that you made fun of a person who almost got uh killed in a murder attempt that was politically motivated you should that wasn't politically motivated what it's Nancy Pelosi's husband that just just that was his gay lover oh okay well what how do you know this guy wasn't Donald Trump's gay lover don't know okay mom's been beaten in submission here I'm just so mad at both of you I don't even want this to go you mad at us for we did not anything to do with this' done nothing you're not patriotic I can't believe nothing has changed from last week to this week like that from when I was 15 years old at a certain point when you realize that the government the United States government is a a giant Corporation with tens of thousands of employees there is no way uh to make it good simply because of the bloat of it once you kind of realize that and then you start seeing Oh at the very top it's always extreme corrupt the people at the top care about two things getting more money and getting more power and that's it um and that'll never be different because that's just the nature of the system that we now have in this country and in most countries it's like that the government is completely broken I actually think that Joe Biden jail is behind closed doors saying you give me 500 million you give me a TV deal for 20 million you pardon me the brother Joe the cocaine head and probably the ex whoever yeah you pardon all of us and will walk away that's what's going on right now who wait who's are they making this deal with the government someone in the government they are the government what are you talking about probably Obama huh what wait a minute please explain what you're you're saying here you believe the bidens are making a deal with the Obamas to get a pardon trying to someone the Obamas can't pardon anyone they're no longer in government but he can he can put pressure to someone in the government to do that Obama cannot appoint anyone now okay okay like you don't think he's running the country we know we don't want to get into that that's okay I'm not going to argue with y'all anymore we are this we are not on the same page at all war has begun we're not on the same page at all anymore right oh we got you know what what three more months to make it I'm going to make this podcast all the way through and of course I I got uh DMS last week where are you why why aren't you on the air all that I called to you guys and I or I did to Haley I said Haley can you make a quick little clip because it's always me just make a quick clip to say we're not on the air this week it'll be the next week did you do that for me no no I'm making dinner I'm sorry I'm making dinner din time I work 10 hour shifts six days a week and made dinner for my family I'm sorry I couldn't make the video I know you do Haley we work what were you doing we work part look it's fine it nobody needs to make a video or anything it's fine we are doing this podcast is not a big podcast we are doing this podcast at least I'm doing it so that we can keep talking to each other through this [ __ ] because I remember I take pride in the people that ask me questions on there and ask what are you doing why weren't you on I feel obligated to tell them what this shit's going on but you two don't and you're just blowing it off I'm not blowing this off and you know what if it don't go on I'll do it by myself I mean you're more than welcome you know what I think you know what I think's funny I'm the very first one that Chad came to and said hey Mom what do you think about this podcast wouldn't this be fun I'm the only one hanging in here I'm sorry my last these past two weeks have been absolutely insane work-wise for me for a variety of reasons I I'm literally pulling 20 hour days basically every day so um my apologies for not being able to do this podcast last week I work 16 hour days for 40 [ __ ] years crime a river I'm not I'm not saying cryy a river I'm saying why I wasn't able to get to the podcast last week now still made time for other stuff okay how many times have you missed this podcast I don't know what he's even talking about so you're all too [ __ ] busy I wish we would have had him on video for that I'm only saying this the podcast for me is because the reason I even want to start it was because there was a period during Obama at some point where because of politics our family wasn't really talking to each other at all and I was like this is crazy because of like politics these people that we don't know that don't give a [ __ ] about us that are just trying to get money and power these are the people that are that are making me not have a conversation with my mom and dad this is insane and so I said well let's just talk about that [ __ ] maybe it'll be fun maybe it'll be funny maybe we'll actually get somewhere I don't think that's potentially the case anymore but I do think what this podcast has done for us as a family is put us in contact with each other once a week is yes we missed some weeks here there to have an hourlong conversation about whatever if it has to be politics because that's what it is fine but for me that's what the podcast is it's to get to talk to you guys every week still so that we don't slip into a place where Dad is trying to go right now [ __ ] you you're on the other side I ain't talking to you and it's like why it's not being productive anymore it's not being productive it's never been productive mom we're not changing anyone's mind the productivity comes from the fact that we are communicating with each other and dad is trying to shut that out right now he's trying to say [ __ ] you on the other side of this imaginary line so I won't talk to you anymore we're talking about if we would talk about something other than politics we could talk bring it what you want to talk about what do you want to talk about I don't know I don't know you tell me what movies have you seen attempts anymore I had a few more questions but bring it you don't have to bring it so this next week is the RNC the National um convention in Milwaukee JD Vance you think it's going to be JD Vance's the running back I want Bo Donaldson but he's not even in the top four anymore Tim Tim Scott right but they're not in there I really think a black person a black man would help Trump I do a little but he doesn't need the help anymore he ain't doing that he's going all in it's two white guys that's what you're going to get he it I know Marco Rubio is kind of in the conversation but I agree I think it's going to be JD Vance he's the one who actually by the way said the central premise of B of the Biden campaign is that President Donald Trump is an authoritarian fascist who must be stopped at all costs and he's kind of pinning this uh assassination attempt on Biden as a result of that but I will say this I I think that he is an authoritarian fascist who must be stopped at all costs and when you always have this this uh theoretical question is asked to at various points in your life if you could travel back in time and kill hit would you I think we're living through a time like that yes and uh and that is why that 20-year-old was up on that roof because in his mind he is just seeing history repeat itself I have nothing else to lose you've already you're taking everything away from us I have nothing else to lose that's why that kid did that no it's like a he we all perceive Donald Trump as the [ __ ] Newfound Hitler and so there are people willing like you guys are willing to go [ __ ] shoot people so is the other side he was set up by the Secret Service to go do that I'll give you and your family million dollars we'll get you out of there take the shot get out of there let's go down that path you believe that the secret service at least helped this guy if not orchestrated this whole thing or maybe you think it was orchestrated by Obama and the clintons ETC whatever um if they have the Secret Service in their back pocket won't this just keep happening yes so you believe there will be another assassination attempt immediately like why isn't he dead now Secret Service are all around him all the time could be because now Trump has to wipe them Trump has to wipe them all out and restart and get the right people in what did that I mean like he said Trump he said the right people are around him now I mean if it was actual Secret Service [ __ ] they could just poison his food it wouldn't have to be like a [ __ ] shot to the Dome he could die any minute any day I tell you it just felt like Kennedy to me all over again it someone inside did this job with the 20-year-old kid attached so you think it's an inside job Haley and I thought it was fake in the beginning why are they different the reason I thought it was fake was because so I watched the original video that was you know all over all social media Outlets uh and and none of the other victims and all that [ __ ] come out yet it just hit the news it shows him reach up for his ear go down and then when he comes back up with the entire Secret Service you hear him literally say like wait a minute so he can like you know give me the Applause look at me and in my mind I'm like this is some [ __ ] WWE [ __ ] like that cannot be real I know he my shoes his shoes had come off he said get then he said wait a minute when he [ __ ] pushed them down and gave his [ __ ] oh to the crowd anything Donald Trump ever does I will for in in this Arena where it's like an assassination attempt or like some kind of crazy thing I'll always think it's fake in stage initially until I see news to the contrary which I have now seen but I I just can't take the the fact that he was a pro wrestler he's he's done WWF in ring stuff and he's the host of a fake reality show that's primarily what he's known for prior to becoming president I I simply can't separate that from who he is and obviously in pro wrestling pro wrestlers do that they'll hide razor blades and their wristbands or whatever and then like score their head so they can start bleeding during matches that's a very commonly uh known thing so like could Trump have done that sure but I think the fact that Haley and I thought it was fake initially really speaks to where we are politically if Biden had something like this happen I would also think it was fake initially because it's all about Optics and it's it's all about how you can spin whatever and so I don't think it's fake now but the fact that a and I both initially thought it was I think is very telling about the the state of the American political situation and Mom has disappeared oh okay what's Dad doing is does he have anything else to say or is he on his side of the fence and everybody else can rot in hell yes he said yes okay um well I don't know what else to say other than that we've got I had a rap but there's no way I'm doing my rap today and I also had a song but I'm not doing my song either I'm not the for raps or songs because I'm not what they did punishing Us in some way then because we're on the other side you all right yes fair enough it's your right to do you can issue the strange punishment if you like maybe next week we'll hear the songs are they about the assassination um no and that's why I probably need to change words now you need to include assassination lyrics what's wrong with you you seem very uh I don't know you're just not talking of are you over this you want to end this epis sad I don't want to get into it with you and Haley anymore because we're not on the same page no more how old were you in JFK got blown away how old were we Bob when Kennedy got shot in Dallas um I was in fifth grade dad was in the fifth I in yeah fifth grade and so that didn't really affect you I remember seeing everything about it I remember it was always in the news how sad about Nanny what about Nanny and popcorn were they sad about it like torn up about it yes yes were they Democrats they just loved our country to think that someone could kill our president and you guys think that's an everyday occurrence that could happen and oh well I don't think it's an everyday Ur I just don't care if it does people yeah people do not love the country today maybe the way that that you guys did when you were new parents and because you guys are boomer generation and so you experienced a lot of growth and wealth and kind of a prosperous time father has shaking hands with three presidents three and we've seen four we've seen four he has seen four in person shaking hands with three I've only seen one I just I think that your perspective of the country is rooted in your early adulthood raising children in a country where like you could buy the house you could buy the cars you could do all the things you wanted to do if you worked hard and made the money and we are living in a time where that doesn't exist anymore you guys had all of your you had all no one was taking away rights like we were we were moving forward in essence and now I feel like we are taking steps backward every [ __ ] day because of Joe bid it's not because of Biden it is it's because of corporate greed it is largely because corporations have become so big they control everything lobbyists in American politics have essentially ruined any hope that we could have actual to do with the illegal aliens and the foro fourstar hotels and then we look at our veterans and tell them go straight to hell I'm not saying those are good things I'm not in support of those things but I'm saying the things that Haley is talking about the fact that there is no financial future for anybody coming up in these next Generations has primarily to do with the fact that corporations control everything in this country including all the laws that are written that allow them to poison our Foods poison our Waters because it's just oh we just got to pay a fine because we we broke some and it has nothing to do with us giving how many billion to Ukraine and not helping our own United States that's why we're mad that's why we're mad 64 billion is it that he's given to Ukraine 160 B I like I I do think about sometimes if at them I have to Quick sometimes I think about if you guys were in your 30s or in your early 20s today like newly like new parents hadn't bought a house yet how you would feel and if you would feel differently because I think that you might not feel this way I think you're full of [ __ ] I'd work harder but this idea I grew up in a country I grew up in a country where if you worked your ass off harder than the other guy you got ahead of him and that doesn't exist anymore that's what Haley's saying you agree with that too then no I I the reason I it doesn't work now is because of Dei okay okay you can work your ass off harder than the other guy but if he's black he gets the upper hand I love you CH I love you I love you B I they get hired great let's say that they do that's not what I'm talking about what I'm talking about is Bezos Pays His Factory workers almost nothing he pays them the exact lowest amount that he can and still legally get away with it regardless of whatever race there are fine okay so you don't think that that type of uh the I mean you've seen all these these reports coming out that like CEOs corporations now make thousands of times differ between me and you and those stupid [ __ ] at Amazon I'd go get a different job that paid better all corporations do this and I would outwork I would outwork the [ __ ] inap bastards I'm against I mean I have I have personal like a personal anecdote about this I run a very small business and I employ seven people I pay my employees almost twice what somebody like crumble or nothing Bunt Cakes pays and and that's a problem because they're large corporations paying their employees next to [ __ ] nothing it's not a lovable W they should come work at your place then but I'm just saying this and Haley's kind of backing it up with her anecdote here that has nothing to do with Dei the the downfall of America as you guys think it does it is just about corporations edging out the the little guys as much as they can and paying their employees almost nothing so that they can pay lobbyists to go to Washington to have laws written that can allow them to pay people even less that's the whole game and that's why the country primarily is what' he say he's gone without corporations Haley would not have a business I'm not saying corporations should go away I'm saying the way that they are allowed to operate can no longer happen but the way our political system has been structured really since the'80s is these lobbyists come in they have insane amounts of money and now that we have citizens united the corporation can literally directly just put hundred million into a political candidate cers one did you did you even take a three-hour class at USC on how the [ __ ] world Works yep how the world Works 101 three hours every Tuesday economics I doubt it Su that was his his Counterpoint was that he doubts I took a three-hour class at attack guess what guess what no one now is talking about Biden and his dementia are they H nobody is no it's all about Trump and the assassination attempt but I'm saying that helps Trum because he looks tough job bid like bid would have gotten shot in the ear he'd be dead we all know that the minute that that photo of him with his fist raised the American flag be the minute that that hit social media was like oh [ __ ] God yeah like that was the [ __ ] nail that was it when we thought we thought instead of him saying fight fight we thought he was saying [ __ ] [ __ ] you everybody in the crowd was everybody in the or not everybody some people were hunkered down but there was a lot of people fli off saying f you f you y well there you have it everyone thanks for joining us today um don't talk to them now I think you should I think that a big problem in this country is is that people don't talk in families in friend groups or whatever because of this I guess not in friend groups you're not friends with people who are on the other side but uh I do think it's important to try and keep in mind that it's like at least the way I view you and dad like I don't think it's your I don't think your minds will be changed and I don't think it's necessarily your fault that you have these kind of Hardcore beliefs and so that's why I like continuing to talk to you guys because I can I don't know I just like having contact with you through all this it's not our fault that's funny oh what' you do just zoom out H my camera has a mind of its own sometimes it'll do that all right
