In the aftermath of the 2024 election, America is even more divided than before. Half the country fears the end of democracy and the other half welcomes it. [music] As America inches toward the brink of authoritarian rule. Now more than ever, we must force ourselves to have the necessary conversation. Welcome to the

0:25

I'm Yeah, I said it real fast. Did you catch that? a necessary conversation. I said it so fast you couldn't hear it. Okay.

0:33

With me today is my mom and we have a brand new guest on the show, Haley Pope Pop. Sorry. My sister. Yeah. My daughter who's been gallivanting.

0:46

She hasn't been here in a long time, but we welcome her with open arms. Right. It was one episode and I had I had to do like very real [ __ ] You act like I was out there just I'm traveling again. It was very real [ __ ] that I had to do. It was real [ __ ]

1:02

Save it for the simmer down. I could say save it for the welcome back after a long time. What? One week. She was doing very real [ __ ] Everybody, it was very real [ __ ] We assure you.

1:16

Save it for this simmer down. All right, mom. You got any diddies? Um, a shout out just one more time. Amanda Ripley. She was very kind, very nice. We were in her um article in the paper in the New York Times. It was published August 20th of 2026. The name of the article was the parents are MAGA, the kids are liberal. Can YouTube help? She had promised me when that um went to print that she would try really hard to get me some copies and they did arrive and I thank her very much for it. And um she also has a web page herself um amandaipley.com. Go

1:55

check her out. She like for several years has helped um I don't know if she's help people but she has written about uh conflicts in people's lives and that's kind of why she grabbed on to the necessary conversation and

2:11

yeah mandaley.com I have a diddy as well. Remember a couple weeks ago when we talked about the wild horses being slaughtered for meat and you just refused to like side with the horses and instead sided with Donald Trump. Anyway, I decided to

2:26

stop stop take kind of take some of that back or just stop for a minute. Take your hat off. I did not side with Trump.

2:36

[ __ ] Donald Trump. I've always been on No, no, no, no, no. It's been on the horse's side and this has been going on for 35 years. Oh,

2:44

no. It doesn't matter. Whatever. Um, you you took his side, not the horses. So, anyway, uh, I did watch Blue Zeus. Have you guys seen it?

2:55

I haven't. Yeah. Highly recommend. If you don't know exactly what's happening with Mustangs in America, recommend you watch Blue Zeus. It very um, beautifully articulates like why it's happening. It's obviously all because of greedy [ __ ] money hungry pieces of [ __ ] in our government and in cattle ranching. Um anyway, so go watch that doc. It's very eye opening. It's sad. You feel like every emotion imaginable. Um but it really made me feel compelled to do something. So we are running merch right now and we're going to donate some of those proceeds to Sky Dog Sanctuary, which is in that documentary. and they

3:37

basically have dedicated their lives to um finding these wild horses at the BLM like farms basically where they hold them uh before they go to slaughter before they go to bad homes who just sell them for meat as well. So they dedicate their entire lives to rescuing as many as they can and also keeping families intact,

3:59

which is like really important for wild horses. Like their families like keep them alive, you know? They No, they're her animals and and they rescued him and then they went and searched all the other pins for his family.

4:13

Yes. Right. and they brought them to their land and they have like 9,000 acres where they release them essentially like back into the wild so they can live out their days.

4:23

Some of that too though is in Malibu. They have a few horses in Malibu, California also like five or six or eight. Not very many. But then the majority is on the bigger rounds

4:32

in Oregon. Mom, I just want to ask you a quick question about the horses. You you think all these horses should be saved. None should be eaten. Right.

4:40

Correct. But you don't feel that way about cows. No, we've always ate meat of cows, right? It's the same [ __ ] Yeah, it's the exact same thing.

4:51

It's just like a social construct. You've been brainwashed again. An animal is an animal is an animal. Like, why aren't you [ __ ] eating your dogs? It's just a social construct.

5:01

Because I don't eat dog meat or horse meat. There's no difference. I really don't eat cow meat very much. I don't like steak. I don't like a lot of the beef.

5:11

But you've eaten them chickens. You've be eating them fish. I eat a hamburger. I eat hamburglers. Yeah, that's a cow. Okay. Okay. Um, are diddies concluded?

5:22

I do believe they are on my side. [laughter] We have a bunch of topics to get to. We're going to be talking about how close Donald Trump is to death. We're going to be talking about how Trump and JD Vance characterize the war in Iran as not a war. We're going to be talking about how Trump is trying to get rid of mail and voting. We're going to be talking about climate change. We're going to be talking about uh prison labor where they are now having in your home state, mom,

5:48

inmates are making calls on behalf of Republican candidates in the upcoming elections and we're going to be talking about how the military exodus is still continuing under Donald Trump and Pete Haggath. Before we get to any of that, we do have a question from a listener. If you would like to submit a question, all you have to do is record it in a one minute or shorter video and email it to the necessary conversation [email protected] and put in the subject line question.

6:14

Are you ready for today's question? Yes. May I say one more thing real quick? I forgot. People have been jumping on me [laughter] and saying mean things that I blink. Like when you say stuff, I blink. Okay, you know why I blink?

6:30

I got dry eye. I have the driest eyes in the whole damn world. I am [clears throat] not kidding you. So I don't Trump's

6:37

I I don't blink to be mean to you guys or it's like when I'm really watching the videos then I got to go h I I have to go do these treatments where they put hot things on my eyes and so I'm not blinking um to make fun of you guys. There you go. I'm a blinker.

6:57

Okay, here's our question. Hi guys, my name is Cheyenne and I am from California. U my question is for Mary Lou. Um so over the last we'll say year um we've noticed that your opinions on things have changed which is great. Um however you still consider yourself MAGA but with some of the things you believe now seem pretty different from where a lot of MAGA candidates uh are.

7:25

like you said that you think the war with Iran needs to end. You think everybody deserves health care. You have been really vocal about taking care of veterans, soldiers, um service men and women. Uh you want transparency with the Epstein files and now after everything that's been happening with ICE, you said you think ICE should be abolished. So, when you're looking at people who are actually going to be on the ballot in Oklahoma in November, how does that affect your vote? Are you going to look at each of the candidates and what they actually stand for, or do you still see yourself voting Republican because

8:03

that's the party you identify with? I guess the bigger question is if the person with the R next to their name supports things that you've realized you don't really agree with anymore, at what point does what you believe become more important than the party you align with? Thanks guys. Uh really love the podcast and Marylu very proud of the progress you've made over the last year. Um I look forward to seeing more.

8:31

Okay, mom. So that's the question. You have clearly exhibited that you disagree with most of what the Republican party stands for at this point.

8:41

Will you be voting straight Republican in the midterms or are you actually going to look at the candidates and see who aligns with your new views on healthcare, war in Iran, ICE, Epstein files and vote Democrat?

8:57

I will vote I will not vote straight Republican this year. And I'm gonna look at both names and I will research and figure it out who I'm gonna vote for.

9:07

This is the first I'm not gonna vote straight Republican. I do not believe. Then you're not what? Then you're not MAGA. No, I can vote both ways. I can vote for a Democrat. I can vote for a Republican.

9:20

Yeah. Yeah. 100%. You can vote however you want. But that the reason I put this question in here is because we've only really covered that kind of thing in the context of Trump that you, you know, can disagree with him and all these things, but he's still your president. He's still your president. But the question I thought was interesting because we're not talking about him now. We're talking about the rest of the party. All of whom

9:41

align with Trump's views on all of this other stuff that you disagree with. So that's kind of where I'm getting at. It's like with Trump, you'll say he's still my president, but with some of these other political candidates, you're not going to vote for him now, you're saying.

9:56

Well, I really haven't seen any Democrat yet [snorts] that I like on the other side saying things. But as it gets closer, I am going to read more and more and see more. So,

10:05

but all of those issues we just talked about, the war, Epstein files, um, everything, the prices of things going up, universal healthcare, these are all issues that Democrats, you share the Democratic view on those things.

10:21

We'll see. We'll see how they spill it and how they say it on TV and in it right now. Yeah, it it's not.

10:28

It's happening right now. You can go research all of those candidates right [ __ ] now. I will. And what Chad and I talked about last week, too, though, is sometimes I believe that the person will say one thing, but they're really going to do another.

10:45

So, Donald Trump on the other side, too. Both ways. [laughter] Okay. So, almost. You said you weren't going to vote straight Republican. That's a big step.

10:55

Yeah. That's a big step. Yeah. What's it going to feel like when you put that check mark or however you do it? I'm sure you do it on like a little video touchcreen. How's it going to feel when you mark off the box for a Democrat for the first time?

11:08

I don't know. I might just stroke out right there. Um Okay. But we have to do absentee ballots and we'll get to that. Well, I don't have to, but your dad will because he may not be able to get up and get a by then. But we'll talk about that because that's one of our topics.

11:24

That is one of our topics. Speaking of, let's move into our topics. First up, how close is Trump to death on Wednesday? What

11:37

I said, I hope tomorrow. I want you both to be very careful with your words today. I I hope you both be very careful with your words today in this topic.

11:49

Okay? Because there was a podcast that was with his words taken literally and he now is in jail. I don't want you guys to go to jail.

11:59

Thank you. I don't want to go to jail either. Okay. Um, sorry. I'm just queuing up some images because these are important as well. Let me read this, then I'll get these images. On Wednesday of this week, um, Trump attended a White House Rose Garden dinner where he hosted GOP incumbents running in midterm races. Attention quickly shifted from his messages for the candidates to his unhealthy appearance. Photos from the event immediately went viral that showed Trump sweating excessively and looking ill. This is just the latest in an unending series of clear signs of his physical decline that includes swollen ankles, bruised hands, constantly

12:34

falling asleep on camera in official White House meetings. But his terrible appearance isn't where the story ends. Because two days later, as Trump stepped off an airplane in New Jersey, he unveiled his new hairo. He [clears throat] dyed his hair brown in what seems to be a clear attempt to look younger and healthier. Let me quickly um find

12:54

I got it. It's right here. I'm trying to There he is. No, I want to show you the um the picture of him sweating at the rose garden first. Let me just see if I can get this quickly here. There we go. There we go. Okay. So, I'm going to show you this picture now of him.

13:14

I did see that online. I've seen it several times. What's that? The one at the rose garden. He did not look well. That's correct. We're going to see it. Sorry. Thought I had this queued up. All right, here we go. You ready? This is the picture of him uh at this rose garden.

13:32

Wow. Now, mom, do you think Trump is healthy? That picture doesn't look very good for sure. So, I remember I remember you guys telling me like four or five months ago saying he wasn't healthy and I was like, I don't see it yet. Yeah, I can see some things now.

13:55

He looks like when Arnold He looks like when Arnold Schwarzenegger in Total Recall is on Mars and his helmet comes off. [laughter] [laughter] [laughter]

14:11

Any minute. Any minute now. Holy [ __ ] All right. So, that's what he looked like at the Rose Garden, right? You're saying he doesn't look healthy there. Now, let me show you this picture of him two days later stepping off of a plane in New Jersey. Oh, who's this? Who's she? [laughter] Look at that. Look at the hair.

14:32

New hair. Who this? [laughter] When did you guys start to be so um unkind to people? People. It's Donald Trump. I hate him. I hate him. This is all like I can't Jesus Christ. Wait, wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. You just came at us for being unkind to people. You and dad have

14:56

called Michelle Obama big Mike for how many years? Yeah. I totally believe that's the truth though. You do not. Okay. Well, this is the truth.

15:04

I totally believe she is a man. I really do. Fine. We are also talking about the truth here. Donald Trump looked like [ __ ] at that rose garden and now he's got a brown hairo.

15:15

That I'm not making any of this up. No, we're looking at it. He colored his hair. So, he colored his hair to make him feel better.

15:22

I do know this. Okay. I am trying to be a better person. I've had people close to me die now. Okay. I am trying to be better the way.

15:32

But you still support Donald Trump who is a pedophile, fraudulent, criminal, rapist. Like, you want to be a better person? Denounce that [ __ ]

15:40

I want to be a better person by the things that I say against other people. When I called Sleepy Joe, Biden, Sleepy Joe, I probably shouldn't have done that. That's not nice.

15:50

You just backed up Big Mike. But that I do totally believe in that concept. So to me, that's a that's not criticizing. Even if you Okay, hang on. Hang on though. You if you believe in that concept, what is the concept? That Michelle Obama is a man.

16:09

Yes. Okay. Transgendered into a woman. Fine. Fine. If that is what you believe, why make fun of Michelle Obama? I never made fun of her.

16:21

Big Mike. That's what everybody called her. No, that's what you and dad called Michelle. Okay, fine. I apologize. All right, that's progress. I want to be a better person.

16:33

Apology accepted on behalf of Michelle Obama. [laughter] I want to be a better person. I don't want to call Sleepy Joe Sleepy Joe. That's great. I don't want you guys to call Donald Trump names if he is dying.

16:44

Well, that's not You're going to have to be the one on judgment day at the end to say, "I did make fun of him."

16:50

Judgement day. That's going to be why you don't get into heaven. Well, you're going to be at the pearly gates. Your Donald Trump is a rapist, pedophile, fraudulent piece of [ __ ] who is stealing money from us on a daily basis. I will not apologize for making fun of him. He's a piece of [ __ ] Okay, you can disagree with his politics and everything else that he stands for, but calling people names,

17:14

he is raping people. He is a rapist. [ __ ] that guy. I'm going to make fun of him every chance I get.

17:22

And this is different, Mom. There's a big difference here between, you know, whatever you're saying about Michelle Obama or Sleepy Joe calling people derogatory nicknames, uh, and simply stating facts. Trump is a 34time felon. Trump is robbing the country blind in an unending series of corrupt business deals with foreign countries and tech billionaires and whatever. Trump is um a convicted sexual assaulter. He is these things. This is not us calling him names. This is not us making fun of him.

17:56

These are real true facts that this things he's done. That's why we that is why I continue this podcast because I want you to realize that he's a terrible person. And when you believe in the things that he [ __ ] talks about just in who he is, that kind of makes you a little bit of a bad person. You're supporting a [ __ ] rapist.

18:21

That's crazy. We've been over the rapist case. We've been over all that. That last one that I didn't believe the woman. That one for sure. But you didn't believe the woman is irrelevant. Two juries believed her unanimously. Nine to zero were both votes and the Supreme Court upheld those

18:40

in a civil case. Yes. Okay. Civil doesn't matter. If you brought a civil case to court and you won it, would you feel like it didn't matter?

18:51

I don't know, Chad. Okay. Do you think OJ is guilty? We've talked about that. Yeah. Do you think he's guilty? Do you think he's guilty? Probably.

19:03

Well, he was found guilty in a civil court, but not in a criminal one. So, it doesn't matter, I guess. Right. All I'm trying to say is I think people um you need to choose words that be more kind and I'm trying to do it. And I do apologize for calling Big Mike big Mike and Sleepy Joe, Sleepy Joe. I do. I That's not nice. It's not nice.

19:24

You just reiterated the insult. What am I say? I shouldn't have called Michelle Obama big Mike and I shouldn't have called Joe Joe Byron Sleepy Joe, but you reiterated the insult.

19:39

And so how should I have said it, Haley? I just told you. Yeah, just like Haley said. Use their names. Look, it's semantics. I appreciate that you are making this conscious step.

19:49

Even when I apologize, y'all jump my ass. No, I just said I appreciate it. I just said I appreciate that you are making this conscious step and saying that you don't want to use language like this anymore. I think it is a good thing. I support you and on your behalf I will also never call Donald Trump a name. I will state facts about Donald Trump. I will not stop doing that. But I won't call him a name.

20:11

I will and I will Haley can Haley can be the name caller, but I will join you. Sack of [ __ ] [ __ ] dump Trump. I hate him. I'm gonna continue to call him names. I will not. Mom, if you adhere to your end of the bargain that you're not going to call people names anymore, I will not call Donald Trump any names, I will do an impersonation of him

20:30

from time to time. That's fine. That's okay. And again, I will state facts about him and his convictions and his allegations and all of that.

20:38

I I do believe by the pictures he's having big health issues now, probably congestive heart failure. He's uh his body's pumping up pretty good. But it's very [laughter]

20:50

Now, why are you laughing that I said that? It's just a funny phrase. His body's plumping up pretty good. I just found it funny. Sorry.

20:59

It's congestive heart failure probably or his kidneys or something are going. Um, my final question on this topic, Haley, how long does he have to live?

21:10

I mean, I don't think he survives another year. Mom, no one can tell you the day you go to heaven or hell. We know this. Um, I don't even want to guess on someone's life or death. I don't want to do it anymore, but not very long

21:25

anymore. Less than a year. Put it in your notes. Put it in your predictions. Less than a year. Okay. Maybe this is Haley's predictions. What is today? Is 9 6 26.

21:38

He gonna be visiting Mitch McConnell real [ __ ] soon. Trump dies within a year. Okay, we'll see. Where's Mitch McConnell? Guess who

21:47

that just kind of came and went. People don't even talk about it anymore. Where the [ __ ] is he? I don't know.

21:52

Guess who's been gone one year already? My kitty cat, sugar bear, honey bunches. I saw you made a post about them. It was very sad.

22:01

One year. Um, speaking of one year, we're rapidly approaching one year that we've been in what Donald Trump and JD Vance call not a war. This week, both Trump and JD Vance declared that the war with Iran is not a war as we reach the 190th day of the war. Vance gave a press briefing at the White House on Thursday, September 3rd, the first briefing in over 40 days, where he rejected the term war, saying, "I wouldn't call it a war right now.

22:29

There's no active shooting." He said this despite three consecutive days this week when the United States and Iran exchanged fire around the street of Hormuz. The next day, Friday, September 4th, in the Oval Office, Trump was asked about Vance's comment and said, "It's small potatoes for us." Trump said, "I would say that it's intermittent. I could see someone not calling it a war."

22:56

Have you seen Jamie Fox? Have you seen Jamie Fox's impersonation of Trump? It's so good. I know. It's right on the money. Uh Trump also said the US IS NOT FIGHTING RIGHT NOW. [screaming] THEN ON SATURDAY, September 5th, US forces struck three Iranian oil tankers after Iran launched ballistic missiles toward two US Navy ships. Mom, do you think the war with Iran is a war?

23:23

Yes, I do. And I think that was crazy talk that they talked that way. the 18 family members, uh, I mean, the 18 people that have been killed there, I don't think their family members appreciated any of that kind of talk or the 750 wounded soldiers we have

23:42

or however many people are on that aircraft carrier. Yeah. Right. Right. And he's calling it small potatoes. Yeah. the how many people's lives are directly affected by this that are in military service who as you said now have family members who have given their lives for this pointless war and he's just sitting in the White House sweating close to death. Smile potatoes.

24:06

So you've seen his disregard now again for the people who are fighting this war, the Americans. Why do you still support him? Why do you still support Donald Trump?

24:17

Like I said right now he's the president. I I I hope he gets us out of this war quick. He called it quick. Quick. We're 190 days in. The quick is gone. You You can never have that hope again. It's gone. We are 190 days into this war. Nothing about it.

24:35

Loop. This is just your loop. You're always going to continue. Well, we'll see. We'll just see what happens. I know he did that, but that doesn't really matter. That's the frustration that I have with you. You're seeing it happen real time. He has no [ __ ] regard for any of the people in the military that are over there right now calling it small potatoes. Like that's a piece of [ __ ] president. You're like, "He's still my president." But why

25:00

was that my impersonation that you just [laughter] tried? He's still my president. Yeah, he's still my president. Like why? Okay. Oh lord. What they what they both called it was intermediate fighting, which is ridiculous. It's a war. Yeah, I'm not happy about the war. You know this.

25:20

So, just call Donald Trump a piece of [ __ ] I'm not doing that, Haley. Let me let me ask you another question. Why do you think Donald Trump and JD Vance refuse to say that this is a war?

25:37

I do not know. Think about it. What benefit is it for them to say this is not a war? I really don't know because it is a war.

25:47

There are two points that they're trying to make here. What one, if it's a war and they started it without congressional approval, it's illegal, which is what has happened.

25:58

But several presidents have done that in the past. That's no big deal. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter if other people have done it. It is an illegal act.

26:06

What's your second point? The second point is they're trying to downplay it in the minds of the American public, which it's obviously not working because it's absurd to see them say that. But if they can convince any portion of the MAGA voter base that like, no, no, this isn't a big deal. It's not a full-blown war, it's just a little skirmish, it's just an exchange or whatever, then it's more likely that people will not turn against him and the Republican party in these primaries, in the

26:34

uh coming presidential election in the next couple years. So that's why they're doing it. That's why they're saying this is not a war.

26:40

They're counting on you guys being complete [ __ ] idiots. Okay. It's the same reason that JD Vance was like, "Yeah, the Antichrist is here and I'm fighting him." Like that whole interview was [ __ ] insane.

26:51

Yeah. And they're counting on you being a [ __ ] and just line and sinker. Look, I don't know if that's true about the Antichrist thing. I think they are true believers. I I do believe that JD Vance, Peter Teal, the upper echelon of these like crazy Christian tech billionaires and [ __ ] I think they really actually do think they are fighting the real antichrist.

27:14

No, we talked about that last week. Chad and I did on a Wednesday episode and I said, no, that was just the conversation that there are bad people walking around. professional grifters praying upon people who are easily [ __ ] susceptible to the grift. And like, who better to go after than super [ __ ] religious people? Because that's all Christianity is. It's a [ __ ] grift.

27:38

Okay? When you sit down and you look at what's going on, none of that [ __ ] is real. And they know that. And so, they're going after this demographic that is easily brainwashable. And that's what MAGA is comprised of. You are able to be brainwashed. Am I wrong? You're supporting a [ __ ] rapist. Why? Why?

28:04

He is your [ __ ] leader. He is the cult leader. Whatever you say, dear leader. That's brainwashed. Okay, maybe am. Um, all right. Let's move on to our third topic. Mailin voting. This week, the fight to block Trump's attempts to end mail-in voting heated up. Trump signed executive order 14399 back in March, quote, "Ensuring citizenship, verification, and integrity in federal elections, which directed the US Postal Service to write uniform national standards for how states send mailin and absentee ballots. In response, USPS issued a 95page final rule effective August 21st. That is the operative mechanism now being fought over. The rule does not ban mail-in voting

28:48

outright. Instead, it layers on new federal requirements that states must meet before USPS will carry the ballots. First, counties and states have to redesign their mail-in ballot envelopes to include a unique intelligent mail barcode identifier and get those designs pre-approved by USPS before ballots can go out. Second, state election officials must create accounts on new federal ballot mail on a new federal ballot mail portal and upload each mail-in voters information at least 30 days before the election or by the date ballots start going out under state law. Third, USPS says it will refuse to deliver ballots for any state or locality that has not

29:28

met the envelope approval and data upload requirements. The rule forces lastminute envelope redesigns and a largely untested data upload system just weeks before the ballots are supposed to go out. As a result, Bostonbased US District Judge Indira Talwani issued a preliminary injunction blocking key parts of the USPS rule, finding it likely unlawful and unconstitutional. Talwani's injunction bars enforcement in DC and 23 challenging states through November 3rd. The administration has now asked the Supreme Court on Thursday to intervene and overturn what this judge has done. And the court had earlier given Trump an interim procedural win in August, but USPS uh implementation has remained blocked. It's still unresolved

30:09

and headed back to the justices now to see what the final kind of uh call is going to be. Mail and voting hit a record 43% of ballots in 2020 and about 30% in 2024. So tens of millions of voters are potentially going to be affected by this. More Democrats have typically voted by mail in recent cycles. And of course, Trump regularly votes by mail.

30:30

Mom, why do you think Trump is trying so hard to make it more difficult for people to vote? I think he wants the correct people to vote. The one

30:42

And who are the correct people? Uh that your name matches the body that goes in there to vote. So not you. That you're the correct identified person voting. That's what

30:55

Right. I think he wants but now in my state we still we can do that. We have Yes. In my state because your name on your birth certificate will not match your ID.

31:07

Yes. Uh so that's going to be a problem for you in Trump's world. Yes. No. I will still be able to get absentee ballot if I want.

31:16

How are you going to mail it? What do you mean? He's trying to eliminate mailin voting. That's what this whole thing was that I just told you about. They're trying I just read in Oklahoma we can still get an absentee ballot. I have to request it by October 19th.

31:32

The fight is how the post office will handle the mail. That's where the fight's coming from. But he is doing that. Trump is the one telling them like just shut it down. Makes write some [ __ ] weird rules that nobody can implement in time for the election where you got to change the envelope and have this barcode and set up an online portal and send us all the names of the people voting. And it's like nobody can do all that [ __ ] in [ __ ] 30 days.

31:55

You just said like so much information that's never going to happen. It's going to go back to here. It's never going to happen.

32:02

It's going to go back to the way it was. How about this? Did you ever think Trump would start a war with Iran? Would you have at one point said that's never going to happen?

32:10

I wouldn't have said it's never going to happen, but I didn't think it would happen. Okay. They're trying to suppress virtually any vote that they can that's not [ __ ] Republican. In Texas, it's like rampant. They're shutting down like different polling places like all over the place. In Texas, it's really bad. Like they're making it so hard for us to vote here, especially uh in areas that are predominantly people of color.

32:37

I have not seen that here. And I I got online and I can request our absentee ballots if we want. They do have to be notorized which or I can go vote of course in person but dad if he's not up and going by then he'll have to have absentee ballot.

32:56

Shouldn't everybody have that right to mail in your ballot? Shouldn't everyone have that right? Um I guess if you can get it um notorized with your correct name. No, there is no one voting that doesn't have matching names for their [ __ ] address, license, all of that [ __ ] That's not a thing. You're like making it up.

33:18

No. You think all of these immigrants are like voting via mailin ballot? Maybe you don't know. Mom, yes, you do know that there have been investigations into all of these claims of voter fraud for the past three or four years. They have found nothing. And these are bipartisan investigations. Republicans have found nothing. There is no evidence to support Trump's claim that there is widespread voter fraud in any style, any capacity at any level. He is lying

33:50

to minimize people's ability to vote so that fewer Democrats can vote. Think about everything he's told you. Yeah, somebody took a box cutter to the [ __ ] reflective pool. Now we know that's a lie. Yeah, I'm going to lower your [ __ ] groceries and your gas. We know that was a [ __ ] lie. Why do you continuously believe this [ __ ] He's doing this to suppress votes. There are no immigrants out there in the [ __ ] United States sending in mail in ballots.

34:20

I think there are people without the proper ID doing it. I saw a man on Instagram that said he voted five times and was laughing about it.

34:29

Then it must be real, right? It must be real. That guy on Instagram. The guy on your Tik Tok. Let me ask you something back. Y'all are being mean.

34:39

We're not being mean. That's being real. I'm trying on Tik Tok. [clears throat] No, I'm trying to just present you with the facts here. The facts are there is no evidence of voter fraud. The facts are Donald Trump is trying to get rid of mail and voting, something he himself does. So, this is another example of do what I say, don't do what I do.

35:01

The elimination of mail-in ballots will disproportionately affect people who are people of color, people in lowincome districts, uh, Democrats generally, they do more mail-in voting than Republicans. So, even if if, let's say, he's successful in this, he gets rid of all the mail-in ballots, it means that people who are likely to vote against him are going to have a harder time voting than people who are likely to vote for him. So, he's trying to rig the system. He's not letting everybody vote.

35:32

Now, you're also saying, as we've talked about this, you said that'll never happen. And this is an argument or a defense that you use a lot on this show. When we say something that you clearly disagree with, something you don't want to happen, you'll say, "Well, that's never going to happen." But you don't take the the one step further in your mind to see that Trump is trying to make it happen. Whether it happens or not is irrelevant. Why is Trump trying to do all these things that you don't like and that you say it won't happen, but he's still trying to do it?

36:07

Because he believes that there was voter fraud. No, he doesn't. From people that should not have been voting. Why do you think he believes it?

36:19

Everything I've read not win the last election. whether you win or not. None of this [ __ ] existed prior to Donald Trump. We've always had free and fair elections. Nobody had a [ __ ] problem with any of this [ __ ]

36:37

But there there are states like Chad state that doesn't dump all the ballots for what weeks or something and not counted for weeks, things like that.

36:46

We have always How does that prove voter fraud? I don't know. They can dump ballots whenever they want. make how does that again I'll ask how does that prove voter fraud

36:57

that I I feel the vote should be counted on the day of the election I have I have always believed our voting system is bad it needs to be changed

37:08

things need to be better and you guys do too okay well if you believe that all the votes should be counted on the day of the election which is obviously a gigantic monumental task because there are millions and millions and millions of votes What do you think about Donald Trump calling up somebody in Georgia and being like, "Find me 11,000 more votes after the election has been counted."

37:30

Right. I remember this conversation. Right. What do you think of that? Not good. Okay. Not good. Exactly. Why do you think he did that?

37:39

[ __ ] He's a He wanted to win that state, right? He's a cheater. He's going to do whatever it takes to [ __ ] win these elections. And he's [ __ ] cheating. And that's what suppressing the vote is.

37:51

And that's why Biden was our president, right? What? He didn't win all the elections. He hasn't won them all. What are you talking about?

38:04

I'm You're losing me. Why are we talking about Biden now? Hello. What do you mean? I don't I don't think he should have won.

38:12

I don't think he won correctly. Okay. Right. Because Donald Trump is planting this seed that like they're all cheaters. Everybody's cheating. He's the only one doing it.

38:25

I think there's a lot of politicians that cheat with votes and try to win votes and try to buy votes. Okay, let's simmer down. Um Haley, [laughter] you were gallivanting,

38:37

right? Tell us the stories of your gallivanting. Um where do I begin? I had to take a kid to college and we were flying on American Airlines and on the way to Massachusetts. Um, we were delayed by like 4 hours, so we finally get to where we need to go. The car rental place did not have the right rental, so we had to wait another hour to get that. Uh, eventually we got the kid moved in. Everything was fine, and then we were on our way home. American Airlines left us in the airport for 13 hours. Delay, delay, delay, delay, delay.

39:20

Um, oh my god, they just kept saying, you know, we're going to fix the plane. Just give us another hour. We're going to fix the plane. Give us another hour. After 13 hours, they said, go [ __ ] yourself. Here's a voucher for a hotel. We'll figure it out tomorrow. And I said, absolutely not. So, we get

39:34

I have one question real quick. Who told you go [ __ ] yourself? American Airlines. the CEO came out. He came out and he said, "Go [ __ ] yourself." [laughter]

39:46

Um, that's what it felt like. And, uh, okay. I was like, I'm not spending another [ __ ] day, minute, hour here. And so, we were able to get another flight um that, as luck would have it, was delayed. Uh, but we finally got on that plane. So, we make it home at I think it was almost 1:00 in the morning. We're supposed to be home by like 2:00 in the afternoon. So, we finally get home at 1 in the morning. As we pull up to the [ __ ] gate, the pilot comes on and says, "Folks, I'm really sorry about this. [laughter]

40:19

The bridge that connects Yeah, pretty much. The bridge that connects the plane to like the building is broken. It's broken. So, we have to bring maintenance out and fix it. Just hold tight." Are you [ __ ] me right now? I was ready to like and I wasn't sitting by my spouse because it was like we had to book, you know, a flight kind of on the fly. So, I'm sitting by this person that's been farting for 4 hours.

40:46

Nice. Nice. A kid kicking my [ __ ] seat. I'm about to just like end it. Okay. Um they finally like get the bridge on or whatever. Whatever. I'm [ __ ] pissed, but like we're home. We go to get our luggage. As luck would have it, they lost a piece of our [ __ ] luggage. [laughter] So, it was just like the most nightmarish [ __ ] that you can imagine.

41:07

Everything that could go wrong went wrong in terms of American Airlines. Um, I am absolutely pissed. I think I need to just like write to them and say, "Are you going to give me a free ticket or what?" But then, am I going to get delayed for 13 hours with that free ticket? Who [ __ ] knows? So, [snorts] uh, that was a nightmare. And then I came home and all hell broke loose in my bakery. Broken mixer, broken AC. Um, just every [ __ ] thing. Okay, so

41:37

my dog almost died. I mean, I I'm not making this [ __ ] up. It was like a week from hell. Wow. So, you might rethink Gallivanting again for a while.

41:46

That was not a gallivant. It was a [ __ ] [laughter] a parental duty. That was a gallivant. Almost zero fun was [ __ ] had. Okay. It was like

41:55

[ __ ] nightmare. Well, we're glad to have you back and I'm sorry for all the the troubles that you incurred at the hands of the CEO of American Airlines

42:04

that said go [ __ ] yourself. [laughter] Speaking of broken air conditioners, our fourth topic is climate change, on Wednesday, the UN Environment Program released a firstofits-kind assessment that stated the world will breach the 1.5 degrees C Paris climate accord target within the next few years. Earth is already about 1.4 degrees C above pre-industrial levels. Officials have called it a strategic retreat as the goal now shifts from avoiding climate change to surviving it as a species. The report lays out an overshoot path crossing [clears throat] the 1.5° C peak ideally ideally near 1.8° C around the mid uh century this century. then claw

42:51

temperatures back down by 2100 through rapid emissions cuts plus carbon removal at enormous scale. It's framed as quote theoretically possible but unlikely with the current government policies pointing toward roughly 2.6° C increase by 2100. 2026 is already one of the worst climate disaster years on record with deadly wildfires from Big Su to France, European heat waves, and a super El Nino that is intensifying right now and will likely persist until 2027, causing any number of catastrophic weather conditions on multiple continents.

43:25

During his second term, Trump has systematically pulled back from the clim from climate science, withdrawing from the Paris agreement, repealing the EPA's 2009 endangerment finding, and pausing NOAA's funding for research and extreme weather monitoring while cutting clean energy support. Mom, all this stuff I've said, this report came out, all of it. Do you now think global warming and climate change is real? Oh, we have talked about this.

43:57

So, this is how I think about it. In my brain, there is climate change and that is caused by humans. Okay. Okay. That is correct. Right.

44:09

Yeah. It's like long-term shifts that because way too many people the earth is having uh temperature changes. It has nothing to do with way too many people. Okay. Nothing to do with the earth having humans. It's caused by humans.

44:25

No, it's caused by greed. Okay. Climate change is caused by humans. It's caused by greed. It's caused by capitalism and greed. Period. Those are the things that cause it.

44:37

Natural in our climate. The cyclical is that did I say it correct? The cyclical changes. Yeah. That is like the natural disasters that I see happening. Okay, that's the El Nino. That's the L'ino.

44:53

El Nino. At least from everything I've read, I'm not a climatologist, so I'm not a weather person, but I've read a little bit about this.

45:01

The reason El Nino is as bad as it is is because the water temperature is rising. It is and so it makes the storm bigger and and more catastrophic. Right.

45:12

The reason the water temperature is rising is because, as I just said, the temperature of the earth is rising due to greenhouse gases, carbon in the air, all of these things that come from deregulating industry globally, but certainly in America, which Donald Trump is doing,

45:30

but whether these natural things are happening or that things are happening because of humans, both of those can happen at the same time. That's what I believe. Okay.

45:41

Like all all of the, you know, what was that last one? The big uh water gush. Where was that at? And it was just horrific to watch and the people were running. To me, that's natural disasters, things like that.

45:55

Yes. But the the whole reason for the Paris climate accord was to get all the big countries that produced the most carbon in the atmosphere to reduce that so that we would not cross this threshold of a 1.5° C increase in our global temperature. The UN is now saying we missed that one. That window's gone. We're [ __ ] now.

46:21

Now the strategy is how do we survive what's coming? I know. Donald Trump stripped away the regulations. He stripped away all of the funding for all of these things that would keep this at bay.

46:33

He took us out of the Paris climate agreement. He literally took us out of none of this is real. But there are people who have dedicated their entire [ __ ] careers to studying this [ __ ] So you cannot sit here for one minute and think that you know more than they do.

46:48

Oh wow. Why are you being so nice today, Haley? I'd like to know. I've never said I'm an expert on any of this, but this is my belief. I think it's both ways. It's being caused by humans and I think there is being caused by our earth's natural disasters that happen at the same time people.

47:07

Your belief is [ __ ] irrelevant when there is statistical and factual [ __ ] information. That's what I'm trying to explain to you. There are people who have dedicated their entire careers to this science and you're like, "Well, I don't believe it."

47:21

I'm sorry. I don't dad and I have never believed in climate change. Why? Why? Because of his job in the oil and gas industry.

47:28

Because of everything, all the charts, everything he's read. He said it's He's not a [ __ ] climatologist. He's very smart with the climate. He had to do that with his job.

47:38

That's fine. But no reason to shoot me down, Haley. God. Mom, it's fine that dad knows things about the weather or whatever because he traded natural gas. Fine. He he was only like a few people in the whole world that could trade natural gas, oil, and weather. He traded weather.

47:59

Fine. Those three commodities at the same time. Great. We have the biggest El Nino in recorded history. It is the size of it,

48:09

right? The speed at which it's growing are off the actual chart that they use to measure these types of storms. They had to make a new chart,

48:19

right? Due to the weather. So, as much as dad may know about oil and natural gas and trading weather, he don't know [ __ ] about this super elino.

48:27

And just take it from somebody who lives in LA. Over I've lived here now for 30 years almost over the time span that I have lived here. The fires that now happen every year, they are more frequent. They are more destructive. I mean, they burn down entire cities now.

48:44

Mhm. Yes. That was not the way it was when I was first coming out of college and even my first 10 or 15 years out here. It was not like that. There'd be a little fire here and oh, it burned off some, you know, shrubs and [ __ ] on the side of this hill and like West Lake or something. Now it's like Pacific Palisades is gone. A whole [ __ ] city gone. And that happens every year.

49:06

You're telling me that that's not climate change. That's not cause for concern. It is cause for concern. You need to move. I've asked you to move out of that ungodly state.

49:16

Uhhuh. Um, move closerly closer to me. Texas is going to burn up. What's the temperature where you are right now, Mom? Let's go to North Dakota, maybe.

49:27

What's the temperature where you are right now, Mom? We have had, I think, over 20 days of 100. Over 100. Yeah. Right. Have you ever experienced something like that?

49:36

We've lived here 12 years. No. Yeah. Right. It's getting worse. We're in a drought. We're in a dust bowl. They said it's it's a drought. But they called it the dust bowl of like the 1930s or whatever.

49:47

But you're still like, "Dad knows more." I I kind of believe what he believes. I'm sorry. That's what I believe. That's crazy. You're seeing it with your own eyes. You're experiencing,

49:58

right? Things are getting worse. Back in the day with the dinosaurs, things like that happened to them, too. Cold, hot, cold, hot. [laughter]

50:06

Well, hopefully that we're trying to avoid what happened to the dinosaurs happening to us. roic event. Yeah, we don't want to extinction go extinct. That's kind of what we're trying to avoid here.

50:18

Too many people remember your dad has always said that. Damn, I wish he was sitting in the back. It has nothing to do

50:24

is dad the oracle. Why is Why is he the oracle for you? It's like that's He's very smart. He's a very smart man. You can be smart but also be [ __ ] wrong.

50:41

He's very smart about that. I wish he was sitting here. God damn it. Why don't you believe Why don't you believe the specialists and the professionals and the scientists? Why do you take dad's word over theirs?

50:55

Because he's very smart. I do believe he was a genius in what he did with his job and with the charts that he made and did every day. I really believe that.

51:04

That's fine. But he's not a genius when it comes to climate change. Oh my gosh. I wish he was beside me. But you yourself are now saying that it's like two things. You think it's just the earth doing its thing and it's us, right?

51:19

I have always said that. He never thought it was climate change. He thought it was cyclical patterns. Okay. In the in the world in universe, whatever. Okay. I think it's both. So you believe we are contributing to it as a species and therefore

51:36

if we all collectively agreed perhaps in a climate accord perhaps in the Paris climate accord that every country who has a big enough industry to actually affect carbon emissions and that kind of stuff. If we all agree we're going to lower that to not hit this threshold where once we go over this temperature things are [ __ ] Why is Trump not agreeing to do that? Why did he pull us out of it?

52:02

Because he wants our country to have more oil, gas, money. It's his buddies that are billionaires that run companies that want to have no [ __ ] accountability in terms of

52:17

AI data centers, AI data centers, large beef factory farms, like all of this [ __ ] that is being prod like Elon Musk, all of his [ __ ] It is producing what is killing us. And he's getting paid to roll back like any they have no [ __ ] restrictions or regulations. He's rolled it all back. He's doing it with our [ __ ] food.

52:42

Like they're finding glass and popsicles, [ __ ] E. coli everywhere, sal manila and blueberries. Do you see a recall every day like I do?

52:51

Yes. The things that used to be funded that kept us safe no longer exist. We're eating [ __ ] poison and we're sucking it in and all of his billionaire buddies are [ __ ] making money off of it.

53:02

I'm not eating it. He does nothing for the people. He does everything for himself. Okay, we know where you stand. All right, speaking of doing things for the people, our next topic is political prison labor. This week we learned from reporting by KGO in and Oklahoma watch that inmates at four Oklahoma prisons, Mom, this is your state. James Crabtree, Mabel Basset, Lexington Correctional, and Joseph Harp worked in prison call centers placing political telemarketing calls in support of Republican candidates at the behest of Make Liberty Win, a Virginia based conservative super PAC. Some inmates said the scripts went beyond polling into outright campaigning with demeaning references to opposing

53:49

candidates. The very thing, mom, that you're saying we shouldn't do, call people names. They had these inmates doing it on their behalf. The Oklahoma Department of Corrections signed a contract with a vendor called HBW Leads that has been in place since January 2026. HBW leads was acquired in 2020 by Ohio based DoubleA Solutions which launch launched a political calling subsidiary Visible Trends in 2025. The super PAC paid the vendor roughly $600,000.

54:17

The inmates making the calls were paid $2 an hour while the Department of Corrections collects $10 an hour per worker. The state defends it as job training. Mom, should inmates be forced to campaign for Republicans? They're not being forced to campaign for Republicans. They were offered a job. I saw it on the news. I did see it here.

54:42

Yeah, they were offered a job. Um, they are learning a trade. What's the trade? Communication skills on a phone. Okay. Do you think that these people have never talked on the phone?

54:55

Never used a phone. I I feel and I've asked a couple of my friends pretty close by. they were going. It is productive. They are earning a little money. I think $2 is ridiculous out of the 10. They should earn much more money. If they're any of those people are listening,

55:13

ask for a raise. Um, I don't see that they called people names on the phone. It was just trying to say, "Hey, are you going to vote for so and so? I'm making this phone call for them." Blah blah blah blah blah. What did they They didn't name call people, did they?

55:28

Yeah, that's what I just read you. One inmate said uh that it was some inmates said the scripts went beyond polling into outright campaigning with demeaning references to opposing candidates.

55:41

I would like to hear that call. Maybe I don't have that for you. Yeah, maybe they will. Maybe they will. But you see how like insane this is that Republicans are the ones writing the laws to put more people in prison. All four of these prisons are um federal prisons. They're not for-profit prisons, but

56:01

the general kind of scheme of how prisons work in America is the more people in your prisons, the more money the prison makes. And even in this case, you're seeing that they made $600,000 from this vendor to then have their inmates do this labor to try and get Republicans elected so that more people will stay in jail. It's just a snake eating its own tail at this point. I would rather see someone in jail doing something productive like that than sitting there trying to figure out, you know, how to break out, how to get their next drugs, how to do something that's not good. I really look

56:38

kind of I mean, it's weird. I think it's kind of a job training skill, but they're campaigning for Republicans only. You don't think that's bizarre?

56:48

The Democrats could give money and let them make holes for them, too. I don't see it as bad as you guys see it. I guess

56:56

you don't see the dystopian nature of this that the Republicans are the ones who write these laws specifically to imprison people so that their rich friends can make money off of it. Then they're paying the people they imprison $2 an hour to keep them in power.

57:12

I think the $2 an hour is ridiculous. And I don't see the first part of it that way. The whole prison system is ridiculous. There are so many people in prison that don't belong there.

57:22

But there are so many people that do, Haley. Right. But you're you're just discounting the people who shouldn't be in prison. You're saying like, well, [ __ ] it. You know, maybe 10% of the people in prison should be there, so the other 90% got to be there, too.

57:36

I didn't mean it like that. I mean, we need prisons for the bad people that do bad things. Uhhuh. There will always be prison.

57:44

Nobody's What is a bad thing, though? Do you think that somebody who sells weed should be in prison? That's a brand new thing. I have no idea.

57:54

What do you mean a brand new? It's not a brand new thing. Weed's been around for a minute. People have been rotting in prison for [ __ ] selling weed.

58:01

But weed is not a um What level of drug is that now that y'all have changed? Because of Trump. It's Well, it's illegal in Texas.

58:12

Except for Texas. Yeah. But he has decriminalized it federally. But each state has its own laws. This is where like everybody has gotten in trouble. Like California, the what is known as the Emerald Triangle, which is in Northern California, where a bunch of weed is grown. Under prior presidents, they would just send in the FBI, DEA, whoever to just bust their operations and like haul everybody to jail. Even though recreational marijuana use is legal in California. Federally, it was not. But now federally it's been decriminalized. But in Texas they're like, "Fuck that. Recriminalized." And so now if you get caught with any weed,

58:49

you're going to jail for life in Texas. For life. It's [ __ ] insane. But for many years. Anyways, um All right. So you have no problem with this. Let's move on to our final topic. The military exodus continues. On Monday, Army Secretary Dan Driscoll resigned after about 18 months as the Army's top civilian. And Driscoll, 38, was the youngest ever army secretary. He attended Yale Law School where he became close friends with JD Vance. Served as an army officer in Iraq, then worked in venture capital. He ran unsuccessfully for a North Carolina House seat in 2020. Served as acting ATF director 2025 to 2026, and became Army

59:29

Secretary in 2025. He was generally well regarded with good relationships across both parties in Congress and was seen as focused on readiness and modernization rather than culture war fights. Trump also tapped him for an unusual diplomatic role, sending him to Ukraine to push peace negotiations. He resigned because he felt that his modernization initiatives were being blocked and he was uneasy with the turmoil caused by uh defense secretary Pete Hegsth firing senior generals including Driscoll's allies like Army Chief of Staff General Randy George. Driscoll clashed repeatedly with Hexath because Hegathth reportedly distrusted Driscoll's close ties to the White House in Vance. His wartime exit leaves the army, the

1:00:09

largest military service, without Senate confirmed civilian or uniformed leadership, and is viewed as part of an ongoing churn as Hexath consolidates power. Mom, do you think it's good for us to not have a secretary of the army while we're in a war?

1:00:25

Of course not. He buted heads with with Pey. Yeah. And they buted heads. They didn't get along. Um I had read where he even went to Trump and Trump said don't go please stay. Um he didn't they didn't like each other.

1:00:47

Correct. And he I I had read he wanted to like modernize the army. That's what I just said. Yeah. Yes. And then so what do you agree with? Do you think that we should have kept the guy that knows his [ __ ] and just wanted to make the military better or do we keep Pete Hegsth who's like running everybody into the ground?

1:01:07

We should have kept him and Donald Trump should have done more to keep him because he went to Trump. When he went to Trump, Trump wanted to keep him,

1:01:16

but it doesn't matter. Trump, this is kind of like something that I think you aren't grasping with Trump and Hexath and all these guys. Trump doesn't want competent people around him. He wants people who will only tell him yes in every case. That is Pete Hegth. This guy Driscoll was not that. Clearly, this guy had some integrity. He was like, I'm trying to do something here to make our military better. Hegs was like, "Fuck you. You're friends with JD Vance and that means that you're in closer with Trump." Heath basically was afraid of this guy, I think, like blowing up his spot because Hegath clearly doesn't

1:01:51

know what the [ __ ] he's doing. But he was not fired though. He chose to leave, right? Sure. because he didn't get along with them.

1:01:58

Sure, but that's plenty of people are doing that. There's all kinds of resignations and firings that are happening in the military. They are making Hexath and Trump are making our military worse. You see that, right?

1:02:11

Well, that was a good guy. I don't think he should have left. There aren't any good guys left. There aren't any. Certainly not in Trump's cabinet. Let me ask you this. The United States military ranks number one globally with an annual defense budget of approximately 900 to920 billion. Iran ranks number 16 to 25 globally in any given year with an estimated annual defense budget of 10 to 15 billion.

1:02:46

So we're at 920 billion, they're at 10 billion. Okay, you can see that right about a percent. About 1% a little more than 1%.

1:02:57

Huge discrepancy. Yes. Why can't we beat Iran in this war? Because you have a bunch of [ __ ] idiots running the military now.

1:03:10

That's a good question. And I gave you the answer. Yeah. What could be the only answer? Why can our military that is 90 times bigger than Iran's at least in spending not beat them in a war?

1:03:30

What's the only answer here? I guess what I believe is if if we do it, we're going to kill good people with the bad people. We're going to kill

1:03:38

We're already doing that. We're already killing good people. I just read a story this week that we bombed a [ __ ] wedding that had kids at it and killed people. They bombed us girls school. They're constantly killing civilians. That has nothing to do with it. Again, we spend 920 billion. They spend 10. Why can't we beat them in a war?

1:03:58

I don't know. Because our leadership is [ __ ] terrible. The people running the war do not know what they're doing. Those people are Donald Trump and Pete Hegsth.

1:04:10

Well, for the sake of our military, I hope you're not right. What do you mean? It's happening. I'm not making any of this up. This is not a prediction. We have been in this war for 190 days. American lives have been lost and continue to be lost. We are hemorrhaging money, troops, support, morale. You've got the Secretary of the Army saying, "Peace out. This is [ __ ] I do not want to be a part of this." We have the biggest military in the world by a magnitude that has never been uh seen before in human history. never before.

1:04:44

We've got the biggest military and we've got the worst military plans and I am in charge cuz I am the president. [laughter] Whoa. Became Arnold Schwarzenegger there for a minute. Um, the question I'm asking is with all of this resource, with all of this military power, why can't we beat a country that has such a a smaller military than us? The only answer is because the strategies we are employing are bad. The decisions we are making are bad and those decisions are being made by Trump and Hegsth.

1:05:21

Wasn't Hegth a [ __ ] like Fox News personality or something? It's because you have a [ __ ] TV star running our military.

1:05:29

Who's your favorite person on Newsmax? Mom, I don't know. I like them all. Okay. Megan Kelly. You like Megan Kelly? She's not on Newsmax.

1:05:37

She's not on Newsmax. Oh, my bad. Take uh Smokeoky Joe. You know that guy? I like Yeah. What if he was running the United States military?

1:05:48

He'd probably be pretty good. Well, I I guess that backfired on me. Um [laughter] Pete Hexath is an idiot who is obsessed with the projection of this like male machismo attitude. How many videos do we have to see of him faking that he's lifting heavy weights and doing pull-ups and [ __ ] you know?

1:06:12

Have you ever seen the videos of him with the pastor of the church that he goes to where the pastor refers to women as uh just vessels to give birth? He thinks women belong in the home, subservient to their husbands. Like, it's all that [ __ ] Christian old school [ __ ]

1:06:29

Okay, [laughter] mom. That Googling. He is the most misogynist [ __ ] like white nationalist Christian piece of [ __ ] He has like uh white nationalist tattoos on his body. He's a [ __ ] racist out loud.

1:06:47

The guy on Newsmax I like. I had to look him up. He's a Navy Seal. Carl Higgsby. I like him. It's a Navy Seal.

1:06:55

I wanted to say this earlier too when you guys were cutting down Trump so bad u about his health and if he would die. Well, JD Vance would then take over. How do you feel about that?

1:07:09

Bad. What do you mean? Eyeliner Vance. Yeah, he's a [ __ ] imbeicile. He's He is I think more aggressive than what Trump is

1:07:17

aggressive. He's just a [ __ ] brownnoser. He's whatever you say. Can you imagine JD Vance having like any meeting with any other leader of any other country?

1:07:28

No. Yeah. They're all like just kind of grifting [ __ ] But the the point I'm trying to make with this um this final topic and why I brought up our military spending and all that is just to like put on the table for you what is actually happening here. We spend more money on the military than any country in the world. I believe we spend more than the next closest 10 countries combined. In this case with Iran, we are spending roughly 90 times what they spend on their military. and we cannot win this war. And now it's been protracted out to such a degree that we

1:08:03

are getting close to running out of munitions. We've got entire aircraft carriers full of people that are like having mental health issues. People are jumping off the side of the aircraft carrier because they don't want to be in the [ __ ] military anymore. All of this bad [ __ ] is happening and it's because Trump and Hegath are making these stupid decisions. That's the only reason.

1:08:25

And then Trump comes out and is like, "Well, I don't think they've been out there long enough. This is small potatoes." Then he like downplays it and minimizes the sacrifice these people are making in quotes to protect our country from whatever the [ __ ] he's telling us there is. Is it regime change? Is it nuclear weapons? Is it who knows what? You know, they they've started this war with no plan to exit it. Yes. Now they can't leave the war or it will look like we've lost the war. Mark my words, whenever this war ends, the first thing you're going to see is Donald Trump on

1:09:00

TV saying how it was a glorious victory. We decimated them. We destroy He's already said that. He already said we uh destroyed or what did he say? Obliterated. Total obliteration of their entire military. Really? That was 190 days ago.

1:09:15

We did. Why are we still in a war with them? We did strike again. It was yesterday or the day before already. It was everything that I

1:09:23

But I'm just saying like remember at the beginning when Trump said we it was total obliteration of their military. Yes. Why are we still fighting in a war with them then? How are they still fighting us if their military is totally obliterated?

1:09:36

Yeah, I know. Okay. And but you still you still love Donald Trump. I don't love Donald Trump, but he is my president. He doesn't have to be. You can say like, "Fuck this guy. [ __ ] this guy. Can't wait till he's gone. Get him out of there." You can say that.

1:09:56

You don't even have to go that far. You don't even have to go that far. I'm just asking you, as we do every week on this, but like some of these things that I'm now presenting are like undeniable. This thing with our military not being able to beat Iran, that's undeniable, right? Shouldn't be like that.

1:10:11

We will. We'll get them. We'll beat them. We are not beating them. We've already lost this war. 18 people have died to a military. That is uh onetenth or not even onetenth uh one oneth [laughter] that is like a little more than 1% of what our military spending is.

1:10:35

You know what I'm saying? Not lost this war. 18 people have died. Well, yes. Anytime a death occurs, it's terrible. Yes. But nobody should have died. Like how is anybody dying in this war?

1:10:47

It's like a it's a for nothing war. Why are we in it? Can you tell me why are we in this war? It started because all those heads of that one state were there. They wanted to get them all at once and because of the nuclear stuff.

1:11:02

Okay. But again with our $920 billion to Iran's 10 billion, we were not able to do that so far. It's 190 days in. Mom, what you saying? So far, we'll see. We'll see.

1:11:17

You've got an entire aircraft carrier of their home. Yes. But that they had to turn that aircraft carrier around and come back home because everybody on board was having mental health issues because they had been at sea for longer than any ship in the history of the United States military. That's bad decisionmaking. That's bad leadership. That's Pete Haggath and Donald Trump. This will literally go down in history as the worst era in America.

1:11:48

This is the worst [ __ ] president we have ever had. I don't think so. Name another one. Who's worse? Obama. Um, all right.

1:12:04

He's the worst. Mom's tapping out. I can see it in her eyes. Um, okay. Thank you for joining us everybody. Thank you Haley for um making it home after the harrowing American Airlines series of misadventures. I [laughter]

1:12:22

Yeah, it seems like a day from hell. I'm glad you made it through. I'm glad you're back. Thank you, Mom, for doing this. I love you, Haley. I love you, Mom. Dad, in the other room, if you can hear me in your hospital bed watching Newsm Max, I love you as well. He was watching Avatar. I love you. The

1:12:41

Last Air Bender. The Last Air Bender. Yes. Wait, no. Or or one. The N. The brand new one. The brand new one. How in the [ __ ] are these Naive? We should just roll in there and blow up their [ __ ] tree and take the unobtanium.

1:12:58

He's kind of like that, isn't he? That character. He's kind of I love you Haley. I love you, Chad. I love you, Bob. and go Kansas State 71-3.

1:13:11

Who' they play though? Uh, Nicholls State or Nicholls University. Um, okay. The bad part was this was supposed to be on ESPN. We all had it set up on the TV. The Coxman came out, showed us how to do it. Of course, no, wasn't happening. I have to grab my iPad, get it off the iPad. He watched it on the iPad. Thank God.

1:13:33

Go Cats. Okay. Love you, Mom. Love you, Chad. Tell Dad I love him. Also, watch that Blue Zeus, doc. I will. All right. And

1:13:43

yeah, maybe we can get them on the podcast. And tonight, watch me on YouTube right here. I'll be doing a live at 6:00 PM PDT. I assume neither of you are joining me.

1:13:55

I got to edit my book. Me, too. Gallivant here. But I'll be doing this live tonight at 6 PM PDT. Thank you very much both of you for joining me.

1:14:06

What time is that my time? 8:00. Yeah. Why do we have to do it so late? I'm in bed at 8. Okay. It'll just be me. As I said, thank you for joining me. Uh I will be on this live at 6 o'clock tonight, PDT, to answer any and all questions about today's show or whatever else. Sometimes we get some interesting questions about astral projection, all kinds of weird [ __ ] Uh it's a fun time, so join me there.

1:14:31

He loves it. astral projection. Mhm. I got very close the other night. Um I was having a lucid dream, but then for whatever reason, when I'm lucid dreaming, as soon as it kicks in, I don't know why this happens, but it happens a lot, I am immediately teleported to Staple Center and I'm playing for the Lakers almost immediately every time. [laughter]

1:14:59

Oh boy. And so I was playing for the Lakers as like a 50year-old man, a 50-year-old 5 foot n man. Did you really want to tell everybody that?

1:15:12

I just I find it funny. And then I always wake up from that dream and I'm just like, why am I always having these [ __ ] dreams about playing for the Lakers?

1:15:20

Maybe discuss that tonight. Okay. Yeah. Bring your questions about my Lakers dreams. [laughter] Bye bye. Oh my god. Serious.
