In the aftermath of the 2024 election, America is even more divided than before. Half the country fears the end of democracy and the other half welcomes it. As America inches toward the brink of authoritarian rule, now more than ever, we must force ourselves to have the necessary conversation. Welcome to the necessary conversation. I'm Chad Colulchin. with me is my sister Haley Pope a fellow lefty living in the great state of Texas and my parents. What are you guys? Not Republicans, just MAGA, right? We love our country and we love Donald Trump, whatever that is. MAGA Mha. Um, we will be talking about some huge political issues that have happened this week. Of course, it seems like this week everything is going on all at once. Before we get to any of that, Mom, do you have diddies? Well, I kind of have one because you didn't have it as a topic, which I couldn't believe and I think you would know what it is. The parade that was yesterday. Oh, it's a topic. That was I sent you I sent you the document before I finished it. Sorry. Is that a topic? Yeah, the parade and the protests. Okay, then I won't then I won't talk about it. Okay. Um, my other diddy is next next week we should have on some pictures. Um, the video clip I guess I didn't do correct or something. Uh, so we'll have some pictures of dad and me and a friend of ours named Jules that went to a little hamburger spot in uh Oklahoma City called Mike's Burgers and they stamp every bun if you want it. You don't have to have it that way. He said he's done a couple customers that didn't want it, but he stamps them with Trump. And he is a true patriot, a really cool little guy. And the food was great. So, we'll talk about that next week. Do the burgers have anything like Trump related? Like, did he make a special burger for this or is it just he puts that stamp on whatever you want? He puts the stamp on the first, you know, part of the bun so that you can see it. And it's not it's not like a special burger. It's just like any burger. Yeah. Whatever you want, you can put on them. And he said he he u fell in love with Trump the minute he saw him come down the escalator fell in love elevator and no escalator and um 10 years ago that is now he's a true 10 year anniversary though everybody in there was patriots and he said it came there was a point in his life where he just had to go off the edge either do it or not and he said I put myself out there kind of like off the edge by putting a burning a the word Trump into hamburger buns that's going off the edge yeah and wearing Trump and not caring ing what people think or say. Kind of what Haley does with her bakery, too. Very political. So, he's political in there, too. There's all kinds of political stuff in there. I just want to say there's a difference between being maja and what I do. Yeah, exactly. I'm not affiliated with any president or political figure. I don't support or promote any of it. No. Yeah. You don't support him. You hate him. All right. Let's Yeah. Go ahead. open the show by reminding everybody today is Father's Day. Dad, happy Father's Day. Happy Father's Day. Did you get my gifts? My gift. Did you get my gifts? Yes. I'm wearing one. Let me get Well, so wait, wait. The pies that I made were Father's Day. The shirts that I sent are your birthday. Oh, okay. Here we go. Got them both. Are you wearing a shirt that I sent you? No. No, it's my shirt. I wore one that's red. I got this from Chad. Oh my god. Along with about a hundred other things. I'm starting to bring all the loot. Here's another thing. Here's What is that? Can you describe these things? That's a quote book. This is a coin. Wait, were these links that you sent or you just by your own? Like you just got that for dad. Was that what he wanted? Bunch of Trump stuff. Here's my Trump picture. Oh my god. As much Trump stuff as I could find to add to the shrine. Did you like those gifts? Yeah. Just m we got a couple more that are there's one I didn't understand. You got your tea. You got your tea. There's that one. Thank you. Did you get your tea for your birthday? Yes, I did. Thank you. Okay. What in the [ __ ] is that? Love. It says greatest great dad. You are a really really great dad. The best. Really ter uh terrific. Just fascinating. Fantastic. Other dads are losers, but totally. Anyway, it says you're the best. Then we got goodness Christmas tree ornaments. Three of the dancing Trump. Three ornaments for the tree. This is the one I don't understand. It says, "I'm a Trump girl. Get over it." What the hell's that? Was this for me? No, it's for dad. You hit the wrong button. No, no, I didn't. I picked that for dad. I'm a Trump. He's a Trump girl. Okay, that's real nice. Put the ornaments. All right. Happy Father's Day to everybody out there as well. Uh before we begin our show, or I should say we always begin our show with a question from a listener. If you would like to submit a question, you just record something in a one minute or shorter video format and email it to the necessary conversation podgmail.com. Are you ready for today's question? Yep. Yeah. Here we go. I'm very curious. What does a normal day in the life of your family look like? You've seen a lot of separation for y'all between your political differences, but when you're around each other, when you talk on the phone outside of your podcast and YouTube and Instagram stuff, like what does a day in the life look like for y'all? Has this like really stopped your family from being family? Do you still have fun? Maybe this goes more for your dad. Thanks. He said, "All right. Do you have any Did you hear that, Dad?" He asked what your day is like and do you have any fun? What do you do, Dad? The main question is, do you have fun, Dad? Yeah. Cool. Good talking to you. What do you do? The guy wants to know. I go out. Well, I haven't done it in a while because we've been going through all this medication change, but I got see my horse and that makes me happy. Is that your only source of happiness? The horse. Kitty cat. Kitty kitty cat here. She's been stressing us a lot. Our whole schedule has changed because of our dog named Kitty Cat. She's 13 and a half. She's at the end of her life. It's becoming very hard and it's no fun. But our schedule during the day, like we both can't go anywhere together until she falls asleep. And that's non-political. Yeah. All that is. So he was asking like how we interact though, like outside of the pod as family. So I talk to mom I don't know at least twice a week probably. Yeah. Like we call each other, talk about whatever is happening in life. None of it is political. Um when we go home like we all go out to see the horse together. We all go out to eat. Little politics, but like I don't know. I think it's we've managed to do family [ __ ] outside of the pod. But I think it's because of the podcast. Prior to us doing this podcast, it wasn't like that. Yeah. Oh, stop it. Yes, it was when you guys would come out Christmas or whatever. We'd go downtown to the big hotels and mess around. That was before the podcast. Uh, we do Christmas. We went to that hotel and dad lost his mind and said, "We got to get out of here immediately that time." That was two years ago after Yeah. We've been doing this podcast for two and a half years. I know. Uh, all right. Well, thank you for your question again. And if anybody else out there has one one minute or shorter video clip, send it to the necessary conversation potgmail.com. Now, let's get into our topics. Are you ready? Yeah. Mhm. Our first topic is assassination. This weekend, Representative Melissa Hortman, former Minnesota House Speaker was fatally shot in her Brooklyn Park home along with her husband Mark Hortman. Senator John Hoffman and his wife Avette were also shot in their home, presumably by the same asalent sometime earlier, and they survived and are in stable condition after undergoing surgeries. It was at Hortman's house that police engaged the suspect in a shootout before he escaped, but authorities have identified him as 57-year-old Vance Luther Bolter, who allegedly wore a police uniform, a realistic latex mask, and used a vehicle that mimicked a squad car to convince Hortman to let him into their house. Police found a manifesto and a hit list of about 70 other targets, including lawmakers and abortion rights advocates. Materials tied to the No King's protests were also found in his car, along with firearms and police gear. He's still at large and the FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to his capture. Dad, what is your reaction to this political assassination? He's just getting started. You think this guy's going to kill more people? No, I think more people like him are going to start popping up killing more people. And you're smiling about that. Well, they got it coming. Who has it coming? Those Democrats for what? For what do you mean for what? For ruining our country. What about their spouses? They're all from sanctuary cities. But what about their spouses and their children? Tainted too. Okay, they don't have it coming. Um, but the guy Oh, God. They don't have it coming. We know this. I don't know what he's talking about. The shooter's coming. The shooter was a Democrat. We know this. No. You know, that's not that's not publicly uh in a lot of spots. I had to research it. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Where are you researching that? From Elon Musk or something? No, in 2019, he was appointed by Tim Waltz. Tim Waltz appointed him to the governor's workforce. Um, it was called the governor governor's workforce development board in that state. Tim Waltz knew him. Okay. They're both Democrats. Let me Google this real the reason he went after them. U the woman that was shot and killed, she just recently, and this was on TV, voted, she was a Democrat, but voted with some Republicans against uh medical care for illegals. Okay, go ahead and research it. I just found that he Tim Waltz in fact knows this guy. had links to evangelical ministry. Said he was security expert he other than I'm not seeing anywhere like reputable. I'm not going to miss him. It's there. Um Dad, you have no sympathy for this whatsoever. Zero. Well, that's sad. People die. Do you think America? Zero. Do you think America's in a good place right now? Absolutely. It's not. You want to see more of this? Sure. Like one of the one of the scariest things is that civil war, you know, our whole lives we've been taught that you can trust police, you can trust the uniform and all this [ __ ] And now people can just at will go buy off is that can buy fake uniforms, pretend that they're ICE, pretend that they're cops, come into your home, assault you, kill you. Like this is a very dangerous kind of line that Welcome to Civil War. You guys are finally getting the picture. Why do you want a civil war, Dad? Clean up the mess. What mess? What are you talking about? These people that got shot, they're a mess. No, they were not a mess. They're a mess. They were part of our government. Tim Tim Waltz, if they're in bed with that [ __ ] fool, they're a mess. But do you think you're saying clean up the mess? Do you think America is in a less or more messy place now that we've had an assassination take place? It's less. Hm. Okay. You're going to think about sticking your big mouth out there right now. In what way were any of these people sticking their big mouth out there any more than Donald Trump is? Well, they voted against the Democrats got shot by a Democrat. What's that tell you? I'm not sure that that's accurate. Um Oh, of course you're not sure accurate. Even if it is, you're never sure of anything we say is accurate. You're you're missing this point. Okay. No, I'm not anything. I am not missing anything. Don't yell, please. All right. Um, let me ask you this. The war has begun. You two are about I mean, you're getting your full face right in it now, and it's going to continue, and it's going to get worse. But you seem to take some pleasure in this. And you're even now suggesting that Haley I'm taking pleasure in the fact that the the mess is going to finally get cleaned up. Uhhuh. But you seem to be wanting me and Haley to directly be affected by this in some way. Well, you you are. And you're too stupid to know it. And you're taking some kind of pleasure in that. It seems like as well the fact that you're dumb about it. Yes. Okay. Mom, be in your front door and then you'll then you'll wake up. Mom, you seem to have a different opinion about all this than Dad. Let me ask you this. Do you think Trump pardoning the January 6th riers has anything to do with people feeling like they can get away with political violence? No, that's a whole different thing. No. Okay. You don't think that that sets the the tone a little bit? changes the climate for people who might be thinking about committing some act of political violence and then they see the president pardons everybody who was involved in the biggest act of group political violence that we've seen in our lifetimes. You don't think that has any effect on a person's psychology? I don't think Go ahead, Haley. It's just rife with hypocrisy. Like I just saw an interview where JD Vance, you know, said, "If you destroy any property, you know, if you act against our government and all this [ __ ] we're going to throw you in jail." And then the woman interviewing him said, "So what about January 6? You pardoned all of those people that destroyed property and [ __ ] I mean, it's hypocrisy." Yeah. It's only for them, you know? Only they get pardoned. Only they get the [ __ ] leeway. That's why people are breaking into homes and shooting senators. Here we go. I found one other thing. When I told you that Tim Waltz named that Bolster guy, is that how you say his name? To the governor's workforce development board. The governor's website said the board assists in developing, implementing, and modifying the state plan review of statewide policies and programs. Um then it says um that a spokesperson for Waltz said the governor's office appoints thousands of these people to parties and boards and commissions all the time. Okay. So they are trying to downplay, you know, they're saying that they appoint all different kinds of people, but he did appoint that shooter to that one board. Okay. So he knew him. I mean, I guess you appoint people, you know, to different boards and development things in your state. Yeah, maybe. I don't know. I don't think that has anything to do with what we're talking about here, though. All right, let's move on to our second topic, Los Angeles. In an attempt to incite violence in the midst of ICE raids happening in Los Angeles this week, Trump federalized about 4,000 California National Guard troops and sent 700 active duty Marines to the city despite local authorities, the mayor and the governor of California saying there was absolutely no need for their presence. The administration also launched a wave of propaganda designed to make it look like the city was under siege when in reality the protests happened in a few city blocks of the downtown area and were largely peaceful. A Northern District of California judge ruled that Trump's use of federalized guard troops was unlawful, violating the 10th Amendment. Hours later, the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals temporarily stayed that order, allowing Trump to retain command of the guard and keep Marines deployed until at least June 17th, pending a hearing that is supposed to take place on that day. Trump praised the ruling, claiming on Truth Social that quote, "If I didn't send the military into Los Angeles, that city would be burning to the ground right now." Mom, what do you think it's like in LA right now? I think uh what I've seen on TV in central LA that there were protests um and they were not peaceful as they said or why would your mayor finally say, "Oh, I guess we need a curfew." So, I don't I think they maybe started as peaceful went to setting cars on fire, uh bricks being thrown. I totally think these are all funded in every city. They are funded. They are organized. They are developed by people that want this commotion to be happening at this point. But the escalations, the curfews, those started only after the National Guard and Marines were sent to Los Angeles. So, you can see how uh putting guys in US military fatigues holding machine guns at your head, you can see how that might escalate things, right? Well, if you had a brain in your head, you would go home peacefully and be done with it. Okay. So, do you think that citizens should be able to protest? Peacefully is the word. It turned into civil unrest and that's why Trump had to call in National Guard and Marines to stop it. Or I do think your city would be lit up and on fire. I really do. Okay. Then why weren't all the other cities this weekend lit up on fire with over 5 million people strong? Why weren't any of the other cities lit on fire? Were they throwing uh bricks? Were they trying to kill people? Were they lighting things on fire? No. They were peaceful, right? It's fine protest if you're peaceful. So, it's only when it escalates to like property damage, physical injury that you're against it. Yes. But you're for January 6th. Yes. That was peaceful walking into the capital. Someone died. And who was shot? Police officers were [ __ ] beat up. They broke windows. They beat up cops. Stole [ __ ] They the doors were open for them to come in. It was peaceful. AOC is peaceful. AOC literally posted like live while it was happening like I hope I don't die barricading themselves behind doors. Too bad she didn't. Okay. All right. Let me ask you this. The this hearing is set for Tuesday about whether or not basically Trump can uh just send Marines to any city he wants. If this court of appeals says that's okay, he will be able to do it in every city in the country. Well, Dad, sorry. Go ahead, Mom. I think he did this too because he should because of past history with California. Uh no water and hydrants. Hello. that big fire, you know, wasted how many billions of dollars on a railroad that's never going to get finished? Wasted how many billions of dollars on sending [ __ ] National Guard to every city in the United States for peaceful protest? We'll get to a waste of money in a minute when we get to the parade. Mom, you're saying he is sending the National Guard and Marines to LA because of the California wildfires because he knows No, I think because he knows that your governor was not going to do anything and he knows your mayor for sure wasn't going to do anything. Oh, bastard. She wants all illegals whether she wants them all there. She doesn't want them to go. You talk about somebody dumber than a fence post. Okay, Trump is just a baby. He's just a [ __ ] baby. He's trying to bully Gavin Newsome. That's why he's going after too hard to do that. He's openly opposed Donald Trump. Therefore, I have to go after you. Giant push. Okay. I think he's trying to incite violence. I think Trump wants violence to happen at these events so that he can then declare martial law. That's so funny. That is so funny. I see it as the other way around. I really do. Greg Abbott. Greg Abbott deployed the Texas National Guard. Yes. Damn right. Several cities. And guess what happened? Nothing. [ __ ] peaceful protests. National Guards there. National Guard was there. Yes, it is. He signed Trump signed a presidential. You can't have it both ways, Haley. Huh? You can't have it both ways. You're sitting here praising January 6th, but saying these protests are terrible. They It was the best day on earth. Okay. Trump signed this presidential memorandum this week where he essentially authorized federalizing the National Guard, sending Marines to whatever city he wants if quote a protest is likely to occur. So with that memorandum, there doesn't even have to be a protest. He can just send Marines with machine guns to line the streets of any city in the United States. Is that the country you want to live in, Mom? No. It's fine with me. I don't want protesters to be putting on fire, throwing bricks. They're not. No one is doing that. That happened in LA. You cannot say that didn't happen in LA. It did. There are a couple of very isolated incidents in a very small pocket of LA. Largely one or two to start something big. That's not what I saw on TV. I I car You know that I live here, right? What? You know I live in Los Angeles. Yes. Would you have went How often you leave your little room there? Would you have went downtown? No. We drove yesterday. We drove down Santa Monica right through Beverly Hills and there was a giant protest at the Beverly Hills sign. Very peaceful. People holding up signs, cars honking. That was it. The downtown protest, the Marines are there. Yes. That's what I was going to say. Huh. Yeah. They didn't do anything bad because they know the Marines are going to come in and shoot them. The Marines aren't there. They're downtown. The downtown ones. Uh-huh. Oh, just argue all you want. We're for the Marines. You're full of [ __ ] Like I said, yesterday was [ __ ] no Kings protest. 5 million strong. Not one [ __ ] report of riots or things blowing up. And no Marines were [ __ ] present in all of these places. No, but all the National Guard troops were. No, they weren't. You liberals, you just need to get over all this. We have a president. His name is Donald Trump. Our country buddy for you. Right now, he is our president. Why Why do we have to get over it? You didn't get over it when Biden was president. I didn't go out on the streets and hold signs and disrupt things and go crazy. That's your first amendment, right? Right. Okay. You can stay at home in your little room if you want to. Okay, but other people don't have to. Let's move on to our third topic. Alex Padilla. US Senator from California, Alex Padilla, was in LA this week for a scheduled briefing with US Northern Command when he found out he was in the same building where Homeland Security Secretary Christy Gnome's press conference was taking place. He asked to attend that instead, was granted access, and was escorted into the room by a National Guard member and an FBI agent who opened the door for him to enter the press conference. When Christy Gnome said the Marines were sent to LA to liberate it from a socialist government, Padilla said out loud, "I have questions for the secretary and he identified himself as a senator. Secret Service FBI agents intervened, pushing him toward the exit." When he resisted, a scuffle ensued in the hallway. He was forced to the ground, handcuffed behind his back, and then released shortly after. DHS and Gnome lied in describing his approach as disrespectful political theater and even went so far as to lie about Padilla lunging at Gnome. Video of the incident from several angles corroborates that Padilla did not lunge. While Trump has issued no formal reaction to the incident, other high-ranking Republicans have laughed it off, calling it political theater on Padilla's part. Dad, are you with us? Yeah. Are you watching Newsmax? What's going on? No, we turned it off. There's no TV on. I was going to ask, what is your reaction to a senator being wrestled to the ground for asking a question? But the only thing I think they did wrong was they didn't break his teeth out. Oh, dear God. Why do you say that? Cuz he's an [ __ ] We saw this. We watched it live. Yes, we all saw the video as well. Okay. Well, she's speaking. She is talking and he interrupts and says, "I have a question." Or whatever. And he kept going. Kept going. He kept going her. That is so rude. She's still speaking. So Marjorie Taylor Green, she does it every time to every Democrat who ever speaks constantly. That's good. Okay. So then they held him back. That's the country I want to live in. Held him back. And I don't think the fact they didn't smash his face disappoints me. Did he have on any kind of identification other than he told that? Did he have the pin on that he was his shirt literally said? His shirt said US Senate and they escorted him into the room. Well, that don't mean nothing. I can buy a shirt that says US Senate. So, wait a minute. Hang on, hang on, hang on, hang on. Your argument is they didn't know he was a senator. They just thought he was some random guy. My argument is they knew he was a senator and they didn't beat him up enough. I don't. So you want a a version of the United States where senators who are doing their job, his job is to ask. Yes, it is. His job. It literally is. He's on the committee that oversees immigration. He's supposed to represent his constituents. That's his job. Correct. His constituents. He's a California senator. His constituents. No. Hang on a minute. Stop doing that, Dad. So his constituents wanted him to rush the head of DHS. He didn't rush her. We all saw the video and he got his assed and he got his ass busted. He didn't do it very um you know like take a turn in just a minute. He kept yelling at her broke his damn nose and everything. Christy Gnome. Yes. While she was speaking, Christine Nome was saying, "We are sending in the US military to liberate Los Angeles from a socialist government." What's wrong with that? Freedom of speech. She can say anything she wants. True. It's not true. And it's illegal. You can't you can uh initiate a federalization of US military and national guard if there is some kind of invasion, insurrection. There are very specific terms that have to do with military incursions. How do you not recognize? How do you not recognize to silence the opposition like this? How do you not recognize what this is? How do you not know what you're looking at? I think that's why you that's what you twerps have been doing for eight years. I think he wanted to be taken down the way he approached the way he kept I want I want I want him incarcerated and put in jail for What's the crime, Dad? What What crime would you put him in jail for? for attempting to uh get into uh Gnome's business. He's like her. She's You've been charged with getting into Gnome's business. Yeah. 20 years. [ __ ] lady. She was interrupted just very rudely. Who [ __ ] cares? Who gives a [ __ ] She was interrupted the same to Marjorie Taylor Green. Hang on. Hang on a minute. Marjorie Taylor Green. Hang on. Mom, your problem with this is she was rudely interrupted. This woman is responsible for ripping families apart, destroying people's lives. So, couldn't she also shoot her? Isn't this the [ __ ] who shot the dog in the head? Yeah, she shot her dog in the head as well. She did. There was a reason she did that. Oh, okay. Um, let me ask you one final question about this. When you think about other governments looking at what's going on in America and they see a US senator being handcuffed forcibly on the ground, what do you think like France or England thinks of the United States right now? Mom, I have no idea. Scared of us probably. Why would you be scared of a country that's arresting its own or handcuffing its own senators? Because they can come after you very easily. This guy crashed her meeting and what she was talking he kept at her that he, you know, yelling at her, yelling at her. You can't do that. She's a member of the cabinet. Do do you think at all she has any obligation? because she said she doesn't support people. [ __ ] She had old Bezos or whatever his [ __ ] name. Who's that guy from Texas? Yeah, that's him, I think. Yeah, Jeff Bezos. Yeah, she had him come to her bakery and all that [ __ ] Betto. Yeah. Yeah. Betto. Okay. All right. So, you just you just proved you're a liar. I'm looking at I definitely I definitely endorse Betto. I want Greg Abbott [ __ ] out. He has destroyed Texas. Yeah, he has absolutely destroyed it. Look like your states destroyed. It [ __ ] is. Let me ask you this real quick. Mom and dad, do you think that these public officials Christine Gnome specifically in this case have any obligation to answer questions? Yes, she does. In the right in the right manner. He did not want He didn't want He didn't want answers. He wanted attention from people and he was in there being very loud, very boisterous. You got to wait your turn, dude. Look at me. And then look, he got his ass kicked. Fine. So, you got to wait your turn, dude. Versus, we're going to pin you to the ground and handcuff you. Do you think that that was an appropriate response? Getting closer and closer to her. He kept getting closer. He was pushing the ICE agents. They got him. The administration just keeps testing the waters. What can we [ __ ] put out there and see if the American public will accept it and see if everyone at all? No, we don't. That's why there were so many people at protest yesterday. That's why his birthday was [ __ ] empty. You don't count. You just said to Haley, your own daughter, you don't count. She doesn't count with her opinion on what? On all this [ __ ] going on. Her opinion doesn't count. Why not? Because it just doesn't count. And yours doesn't count either. Yeah, mine does. No, it doesn't. All right. Well, we've uh we've gotten heated up. Let's simmer down here on this Father's Day. Dad, I wanted to talk something. Talk about something that you did. Um God, when was this? I was in high school. Haley, you were in junior high, maybe high school as well. We lived in a little suburb called Lewisville, Texas. Little suburb of Dallas. And uh this is an indelible memory I have of you being a dad. You had a room in that house that had a VCR in it, full cable, full furniture, a television, and no one was ever allowed to go in that room. And you would inspect the carpet to see if people had walked on it. Wrong. What town was it? We ne we never had anything like that in Louisville. Do you remember this room, Haley? No, it was like a little secondary living room. It's here in this house 10 years ago. It started in this house in Oklahoma. No, I you have a room like this too in the house you're living in now, but you had one in Louisville. You are dead wrong. That when you first walk house on the left when you first walk in where the lizard was there weird little nook like a bar area. Yes. If I were it had a couch in it. It had a because I remember watching that is nothing like what I have. But not now. It's expanded. But this is where I remember it starting. You had this weird room that you wouldn't let anyone go into cuz I remember you yelled at me one time bad because the counter on the VCR wasn't zeroed out and you're like, "Who is in my [ __ ] room?" And you'd go in there when you got back from work and inspect the carpet. Yes. Yes, I do remember the little room now. Yes, I do. So, what was that about? Dad, explain that to me, please. It's my stuff. OCD. But you didn't even go in the room. You didn't watch TV or anything in there either. He has one now. I'll do it. He has one now. [ __ ] permission. What do you call it now, though? It's like the Kate room. Yeah, the Kate room. Okay. Well, um and I guess I I was hoping for more of an explanation. This is a mystery that I've thought about my entire adult life. Why you had that damn room, but you don't even remember having it. It's none of your business. He's in a good mood today. Jesus Christ. Holy [ __ ] It's so early. Okay, let's move on. Topic number four. No kings in the in the king's parade. Saturday saw approximately 5 million protesters taking place. I don't this [ __ ] What? What? What' you say? I said, "I don't have to put up with this shit." Okay. Happy Father's Day. Saturday saw approximately 5 million 5 million protesters uh taking to the streets and anti-Trump, anti-ICE protests in all 50 states. The vast majority of these protests were peaceful and well organized with many speakers and chants centered on democracy, against authoritarianism, and immigration enforcement with a handful of arrests during dispersals. And in Utah, one person critically injured in a shooting. The suspected shooter was then taken into custody. It was the largest single day protest since Trump resumed office with nearly nationwide participation in solidarity against Trump. Meanwhile, Trump threw himself a little birthday party parade celebrating the army's 250th anniversary. The parade featured approximately 6,600 troops, over 100 tanks, Blackhawk and Apache helicopters, Bradley fighting vehicles, and robot dogs. Trump's birthday parade cost taxpayers roughly $45 million with an expected additional $10 million to be paid in road damage and infrastructure repairs due to running tanks on the street. Dad, did you watch the parade? Absolutely. Mom, did you watch it? Yes. Did you see how the bleachers, the stands were half full in many cases and there was virtually no enthusiasm whatsoever for this? No, I didn't see that. I loved it. What channel did you watch it on? Newsmax. I love the only one that broadcasted it. What gave me chills is when the Big Red One came by? Fort Riley, Kansas. My friend, her father was in the Big Red One. And they were the first ones on which beach, Bob? Normandy. Normandy. So there were units of soldiers that walked by from different times in the history over the 250 years. They were dressed up in the costumes and Yeah. But the Big Red One is still active in Fort Riley, Kansas. So I liked seeing them go by. But you're not aware of the fact that it had very low turnout. No, I when you heard people clapping for it, it was like smattering of claps, you know. I thought it said 200,000 people. That's exactly what it said. No. Well, that's what Trump said. That's not real. Well, how are we going to find out then how it's real or not? Look at the video. What do you mean? How are you going to find out? Open your eyes and look at the video of no one in the crowd. The only thing you could see is the the stand. You didn't see what was along the parade route. It was such a bad turnout that on White House official, one of their [ __ ] photos was a protest at the [ __ ] birthday. people holding signs like for no kings. That's how bad the turnout was. The only photos they could get of groups of people were protesters. If you are in the military or past, present or future army to them, it was a big deal and a very nice deal and it showed patriotism of our That's weird. That's weird because they just arrested a whole bunch of veterans. Did you see that? [ __ ] yanked a walker away from like an 87year-old veteran. slap cuffs on him during the No Kings parade or the No Kings protest. I didn't see that. I bet you didn't. You should probably look at real. I bet you didn't either. All right. Let me ask you about the cost of this and the cost to the infrastructure of Washington DC. So Trump was told before these uh before the parade was scheduled and all this, if we roll tanks through these streets, it's going to crush the streets. It's going to be $10 million in damages. And he was like, fine, do it. In addition, $45 million just to throw the parade. Do you think this was the best use of $55 million of our taxpayer money? Yes. I've seen a lot worse things. I mean, oh god. And the amount of money they just flushed down the toilet. At least we got at least everything. The money didn't Obama give 147 billion to the million to the mullets. Not 45 million. 147 billion dollars to what? He dumped pallets of cash in Iran. Obama did. Obama did that. Go look it up. Get your [ __ ] Google out and look it up. I'm looking it out right now. What should I Google? Obama dumped pallets of cash in Iran, right? Let's see. At least we got to see was 147 billion in cash. Uh, [Music] be nice, please. Well, they're not nice. I'm not 7 billion cash payment to Iran begin. This is as part of the nuclear deal. So that was at least million a diplomatic uh deal that he was trying to but but even beyond that I'm not talking about that. I'm not gonna argue with you about what it means. He wasted more money giving it away to our dead deadly enemies. So you're at least 45 billion dollar or million dollars is nothing. August. So you're at least admitting it was a waste of money. What are you admitting it's a waste of money then? what Biden or what the 45 million. No, it's not a waste of money. The Wall Street Journal revealed this week, August 4th, 2016, that that week Obama administration secretly airlifted 400 million in cash to Iran. Airlifted gave it. All right. That's why we're kind of in a little bit of a pickle here, aren't we? Oh, that's why. He gave him money. Now they're like how many days away from nuclear scratch. We're going to talk about that. We're going to talk about that in one second. We're going to talk about that in one second. I have one more question about uh these protests in this parade. Haley, do you think that these Let me ask you this actually. Mom and dad, do you believe more people were at the No Kings protests or the Trump parade? I don't know. Dad, what I think there were more people at the parade. Okay. There weren't. There were there were 5 million people nationwide at the No. Oh, that's your estimated [ __ ] Well, nationwide, that's a lot of I mean, that's cities all over. This was one city in DC DC. So, how can you compare? Okay. I was just curious. Okay. Um, Haley, do you think these No Kings protests are doing anything? Yeah, I think that uh I mean certainly for me like to see tens of thousands of people amassed in these cities and conservative areas as well, it kind of was like, oh [ __ ] there are a lot of people that are [ __ ] tired of this [ __ ] There were small towns in Texas that are known to be red, like [ __ ] red red. Hundreds of people lined up on sidewalks. People are [ __ ] sick of this [ __ ] And I think it was Name a town. McKenna, Texas. That's not hundreds of people. Flower Mound, Texas. That's not hundreds of people. There were 600 people in this town that came out. Oh, Flower Mound, a city of what, three or 400,000? No, it's like 75,000. But the idea is that it isn't that big. There are more and more people all over the country. All those are suburbs of Dallas who are coming out. Why don't you call them? Why don't you call them what they are? In support of each other against suburbs of Dallas, Texas. You're waking up, kidding. Dad, you seem to want to dismiss these pro these protests. Yeah. As like not having happened or Well, they're not they're not big enough to even bother with. But they were much bigger than the Trump parade. No, that's what you say. Okay. How many people do you think came out to the No King's Protest? Few hundred in a few cities. So, you believe total it was under a thousand people? I believe it's well under 250,000 people. Have you seen any of the footage of like the streets of New York with drones flying over and it's just you can't see the street? There's so many people. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Streets of New York. We go from talking about Flower Mound in McKenna, Texas to Streets of New York. You said there were under a thousand people who went to these protests and that is not true. That's wrong. No, I think you're wrong. In the blue in the blue cities, I think you're wrong. In the blue cities, there were probably a lot. Well, all I know is that multiple people came into my bakery that day and said and said that makes them legit that they were regretful voting for Donald Trump. So, I think there is a shift. Republicans at this point, people coming to your bakery would say that. Republicans at this point who kind of vote conservatively but still have some kind of rationale going on are [ __ ] tired of it. The only people following orange face are Mha. Yeah, I agree. He's thinning the herd. Yes. It's now the purist. It's the people like you, mom and dad, who are like 100% in the cult. He never does anything wrong. That's about all he's got left. I feel like you saw his approval ratings this week. We're in the toilet. All those new polls came out. Nobody likes what he's doing. Let's move on to our next topic. World War III. Israel launched Operation Rising Lion this week with a preemptive strike against Iran's nuclear and military infrastructure, citing intelligence suggesting Iran was close to a nuclear weapon. The strike targeted over a 100 sites, including nuclear facilities and military installations, killing dozens, including civilians and children. Iran re retaliated with a massive barrage of ballistic missiles targeting Israel, causing civilian casualties. US officials confirmed Israel informed Washington ahead of the strikes, but stated the US did not take part operationally. Trump and Rubio support Israel, but insists Iran must refrain from targeting US interests, but Iran's foreign ministry warned the US would be held accountable for its knowledge of the attack. Israel has announced preparations for a longer fight with Iran. Mom, do you think this is getting us closer or further away from World War III? Closer. Okay. Do you remember when Biden was in office, every week we did this podcast, you said he was going to start World War II? He never did. Do you think Trump is more likely to start World War II? Wild. He was in bed with them probably. And because Go back to Obama giving him all that money for nuclear gave it to We're not talking about any of that. We're not talking about that. We're talking about right now 2025, Donald Trump is the president. Uhhuh. Israel and Iran. This doesn't make any sense. This has nothing to do with whether Trump's going to get us into a The only thing that's going to keep us out of World War II is Trump demolishing Iran. Israel, that's all that's going to stop it. Trump promised in his first term and in this one to bring peace in the Middle East. I would argue it is currently the least peaceful we've seen it in probably the past 20 years. I disagree because of the money that Iran has gotten from the name. I won't say it again. They have the capability to make nuclear war. Iran sprayed in their boots. Nuclear warheads. They were three to four days. They're going to lay down. They're going to lay down and die. They were three to four days away from that from making having a bomb to drop on Israel. So what are you gonna do? You going to sit there and let him drop the on you? I I am not arguing the validity of any of these facts or strategy. Damn Iranian lover. I'm asking you, you love Iran, do you? I'm the Iranian lover now. I'm asking you this. Trump has said Iran. You love with Iran. Okay, stop it. I love Iran. Yeah. Yeah. No, he doesn't. No, you don't. I'm an Iranian lover. Just like God said. Yeah, I'm the Iranian lover. Yeah, I didn't born you to be an Iranian lover. The Iranian lover to be this either. I'm This is what I'm asking you. Trump has said, "Forget Obama. Forget Biden. Forget all the enemies. Always have to forget the past got us in this situation to begin with. Why do we always have to forget it? They're yelling. Because Donald Trump is currently the president and the world is falling apart on his watch. Okay. What's the question? Hang on a minute. You You seem to want to put all the blame on Obama did this and Biden did this. Trump's president now. Can't he solve anything? Yeah, he's solving this right now. You're so [ __ ] lame. He's solving it right now. And how is he solving it? They're blowing each other up literally right now. Yeah. And Iran's going to end up losing and they're going to be peaceful as can be. Little kitten over here in the corner because they haven't got any ta talons anymore. They're going to get their ass pounded and that's all there is to it. We are already involved if you guys don't know that. We are helping refuel airplanes that are up there that are going at them. Um we're already involved. So, Mhm. this is going to get a lot worse, I'm afraid. Correct. Under Trump's watch, right? You would agree Donald Trump is currently the president. He is the president of our United States and he's got it's not going to get worse. It's going to get better as he beats the [ __ ] out of Iran. You'll see. If they didn't have nuclear capability, we wouldn't be in this situation, Chad. And there's only one way that they have nuclear capability. We know this. Do you remember when Trump backed out of the deal we had with Iran and the deal was you can't make nuclear weapons and Trump said [ __ ] that deal. It's a bad deal. Well, now they're days away from a nuclear weapon which is forcing Israel to have to make which by the way didn't matter about the the Obama nuclear deal. They were going to be days away from it anyway. They didn't they didn't keep their word on anything. That's why they got to be pounded into submission. Okay. Uh, let's move on to our final. Here's what I say to Iran. All of them need to be dead. Okay. I know you're a big fan of genocide. Yep. All right. Our final topic is maybe we can fit into We have 10 minutes here. Uh, this topic is the rich get richer. This week, Trump reported over $600 million in income for the 2024 calendar year via a public financial disclosure. His total assets are valued approximately 1.6 billion. This includes approximately 57 million from his cryptocurrency company, 378 million from his hotels and resorts, 36 million in foreign licensing deals in Vietnam, Dubai, India, and Oman, and about 12 million from passive investments, and several million from his various merchandising schemes, which I bought you some of that for Father's Day, Dad. Yeah. Um, Mom, last week you said you don't think Trump makes any more money and that it all goes into a trust. Dad, you've said that. Um, do you still believe that? Yes. I think it's good he's getting money back because they tried to take it all from him during all the dumb trials. They should have never put him on through. They tried to take it from him, right? Hello. Yes. All the trials and stuff they tried to put him through that they never should have. Right. Mean where he was convicted. Huh? Huh? Hello, Dad. You were saying all this money he's getting was going into a trust. It is. He literally has put this out. It is not. It's going right into his bank account. He made $600 million last year, which he doesn't control anymore. Then why would he put out this statement? Oh, god damn. Explain it to me. I just did. But he personally doesn't have control over those bank accounts. Then why would he put out a statement saying he does? Hell if I know and it doesn't matter. Legality means he can't touch it. Huh? Legality means he put out a statement saying I made $600 million in 2024 and I'm worth 1.6 billion. He doesn't control it, but he did make it and most of this money is coming from his reserves. I'm not going to argue about that. One more second. Got it? Okay. Okay. Then let me ask you this, Mom. Do you think he's using the presidency to make money? Yes. I I guess in some way, yes. But everybody has his resorts, which is where foreign dignitaries come and just pay him money basically, have skyrocketed in how much he's selling things. He's selling things to do it. Yeah. Um, do you think a person, Dad, this is not about if he controls the money or any of that. Do you think a person who makes $600 million a year has anything in common with you? Sure he does. What is that? Love. He wants America to be America again. Love of our Okay. What' you say, Haley? Did you throw up there? What did you say? No, I just you guys will never like you're never gonna Well, then why do you keep asking the same [ __ ] question week in and week out because there's a part of me that thinks like one day you'll just kind of like snap out of it. No, that will snap out of it. You're going to snap out of it because it's going to be right in your face. What will be right in our face? the fact that this country is going to change and MAG is going to take over. I mean, we're seeing if that's happening right now and it's coming down to right now. We argue about it every [ __ ] Sunday yelling. If it does get as bad as I think it can get, I will be leaving the country. I won't. I'm going down with it. We won't live here anymore. Bye. So, you would choose this over me and dad? I would choose my kids safety over anything. Okay. Over anything. First of all, and that's something that you guys don't do. You don't have kids. You have a kid. One. That's all you got left. Is it you? No. What are you talking about? Harper. She doesn't have Roman and and Willow don't have to do anything she says. You think they don't want to? No, I don't think they'll leave. Okay. All right. I think you're dead wrong. I think you're dead [ __ ] wrong about that. It's strange to me that you cannot understand why I would want to keep my kids safe. You're not keeping my kids safe. They're safe here. You You're actually putting them at risk. They're safe here. They're not. If this goes south, if this becomes what it can become, like if it keeps heading in this direction, this is literally Nazi Germany. This is literally a dictatorship. How is that safe? So you'll take your kids and flee and leave me and dad to go wherever we go. I put my children above anything. We're going to we're going to live here and that's going to be the best place to live. All right. It is now. Okay. I did have one more topic. I'll try and get to it very quickly here. You don't You don't have one. Time limit. You got time limit. It's [ __ ] got a place to be. Haley's got a leaving the country today. In fact, there's no more topics. We're done. Oh, well then let me just ask you this question. Came out. Huh? What was the last one you wanted? This report came out this week that has basically uh it's about uh this organization filed a lawsuit in New York against the company who handles like 40% of the voting machines in the last election saying that they tampered with the software and the hardware 4 days before the election. Alerted no federal bodies about this and there are statistical anomalies that look like it was tampered with like all these different ballots that got registered over. They had uh senators and down ballot votes were cast, but then no vote for president. And so there's an investigation ongoing into that right now. Good luck there. 10:00, huh? It's time to go. There's no way that they Well, I think there was voter fraud. I think it was tampered with and I think that it was all [ __ ] farce. We know there was the first time around with Elon Musk has literally like said that he did this. So has Trump. That's what I was going to ask you, Mom. Trump said of Elon Musk, "He spent a lot of time in Pennsylvania. He knows those computers better than anybody. Those voting computers." And we ended up winning Pennsylvania like in a landslide. What do you think he meant by that? During his campaign, he said, "You don't even need to vote." Yeah. Literally said that. Don't know. Don't know. Don't care. president. What if it comes out that those machines were tampered with and Trump in some way was behind it or Musk? How would you feel about that? Good. I feel that the first time he ran was taken away from him. He won the first time. The other the other time Biden won. Yeah. So you thought that was a scam, but this isn't. Okay. I want to ask one final question of all of us. Haley, do you think America is in a good place right now? No, it's terrifying. I literally like [ __ ] beg Conrad to leave every day. Can we sell everything we own and [ __ ] leave? Because we have contractual [ __ ] here. I have a life here. I can't just pack up and move. I don't have enough money. I have a [ __ ] lease. The kids are still in high school. You can't just uproot your [ __ ] life and go somewhere. That's what you guys don't understand. If I could, I would go in a heartbeat. Okay. So, you're contradicting because you said you would do anything for the kids. Take them out. At that point, we've discussed if it [ __ ] pops off and it becomes Nazi Germany, we're [ __ ] out. It's not going to be that. But I don't know why you think that shit's funny. Why is that funny to you? It's not going to happen. I love America. Okay, Mom. Do you think America's in a good place? I think it needs to get better. And he's trying to do it. We were in a big hole from the other one and now he's sending the military to [ __ ] shoot its own citizens. You're past 10:00 and I turned Newsmax back on. I How How do you see what you see and and think that? I just don't understand. You have a crook in the [ __ ] White House making money off of us. He's taking away medical coverage for veterans, for poor people. Like, they're literally slashing all the budgets for education. I'm about medical coverage. Like, you don't give a [ __ ] You think that's a great America? I think you're full of [ __ ] Snatching families off streets and [ __ ] shipping them off even though they're here. Like, they're going through the legal process. All right. I don't see that. like the year crap today. All right, dad needs a banana. Let's end the show. Thank you everyone for joining us today on this beautiful Father's Day. Happy Father's Day, Dad. I do love you. I thank you for being my dad even though we don't see eye to eye politically. I think you have taught me some good lessons in life. Uh mom, I love you as well. Thank you for being my mom even though it's not Mother's Day. And Haley, I love you. Thank you for being my sister. Good luck on your move out of the country. Oh god. Oh my god. Anyone else? Haley, don't leave the country. I love you. Chad, get out of California. I love you. Never. Bob, I love you. I love everybody even though you two are misguided. Beat the band. And I'm God. I love you. I'm willing to bet a lot of money Haley never leaves the United States. Let do that. You shouldn't do that. Why? Nothing makes me do [ __ ] like a [ __ ] dare. There's a dare. Oh god. And I just want to say thank you all for wishing me a happy birthday today. Uh it's not your birthday. My 49th year begins tonight at midnight. Tonight. And we're going tonight. Today to a special place here in California. to look at. You were born. Look at what? On hollow ground on a military base. Yeah. Who are you going? I'm going to a a nerd warehouse. What's that? For what? Like magic. Magic cards, anime, [ __ ] like that. Oh my god. Happy birthday, Chad. You're not going to go like out to eat? Doing that as well. Olive Garden. Nerd Warehouse. Then Laura's taking me to a special surprise dinner. I don't know where it is. Nice. Yeah. Haley, don't leave. I don't want you to leave today. I don't want my kids to be here if it gets bad. First of all, two of those kids are no longer your responsibility. They'll make my responsibility. They're going to make their own choices because they're old. Because they're not they're not kids anymore. They're full grown adults. Yeah. and and they'll decide whether they want to live in you're right the United States or they want to live in Switzerland. You're right. They will. All right. Thank you for joining us. We'll be back next week.
