Hi. Hello everyone. Thanks for joining me. Um, Jorge Alejandro 672, been watching old episodes and I hope your dad gets better. Thank you very much. It's way more peaceful and productive without him. And Mary Lou has come a long way. And they're so mean to Haley. Um, I agree with you. I think it is more productive without my dad, but I also hope that he comes back. He's he is getting better still slowly but surely.

0:31

So hopefully he'll back on. He'll be back on soon. Again forum Jorge Alejandro 672. I highly recommend you go back and rewatch the episodes after Trump won. Some predictions of yours and Bob's Came True and Haley's reaction was very moving. All right, I have to go back and check that out. I've been meaning to go back through some old episodes and um see if I can get anything out of them.

0:54

It's just about finding that time. Arizona mountain girl. Hi Chad. Maybe you should ask Mary Lou to set a deadline for how many more days she is willing to tolerate the war before denouncing Trump. I was glad to see she is against the arch. Love the pod. Thank you very much. I have asked her that and I don't she never gives like a um a clean answer. You know, she's always like, "Well, we'll see. It's got to be over soon. I just want the soldier home." She never like really answers it.

1:24

So, I'm not sure how to get her to um you know, like stick to a time frame or anything. And I don't think she would give one anyway. I think she would just say like, "I hope it goes over soon." Hi, Jake. I'm so glad the chat finally got you to see the exist last week. Yes, I'm planning on doing that for this Wednesday. Just like looking at that website with her. Thank you to whoever made it and everything. I'm looking forward to Wednesday. I've also expanded it a bit. Check it out. Okay, I will. I Jake, thank you very much for doing

1:58

that. And um thanks everybody for walking me through how to type in a URL last week. So, you know, as you get older, [ __ ] like this starts happening. I just [ __ ] embrace it. [ __ ] it, man. Look at this [ __ ] When I'm playing Magic the Gathering, I got to wear these so that I can read the cards. Shit's bad. Shit's real bad. Don't ever get old if you can help it. Do not ever get old. Scarlet's 49.

2:29

When speaking to Mary Lou about Mom Donnie, have her compare at the per capita murder rates between Oklahoma and New York City. Oklahoma is higher. Um, all right. That's potentially a good idea. I just don't think it will matter. My mom doesn't like Mum Donnie. It has nothing to do with the murder rates. It's that my mom's racist. Michael Fry 2316. Does Mary Lou support Haley's business considering she votes and supports people who make it harder on her? How do you think she justifies this? Does Mary Lou support Haley's business considering she votes and supports people who make it harder on her? I'm assuming you mean she, my mom,

3:09

votes and supports people who make it harder on my sister. um she does support my sister's business and uh yeah I mean I don't think I mean if you if you go back and like just listen to old episodes or whatever there's a million times where we talk about exactly that about how my parents you know constantly were repeating the mantra go woke go broke you better not make those political cookies and my sister did the exact opposite of what they said and is now like doing better than ever in her business. um how my mom justifies voting for people that make it harder on

3:45

my sister that I just don't even think she thinks about it. I think she's just like whatever. This is who I vote for, but this is my daughter. But yes, to answer the question, she does support my sister's business. Matthew, no. Matt How 8518. Does Mary Maryl know about the Exo site? Not yet. How do you think she will react? I don't know. Love the pod. Keep it up. Thank you very much. That's I mean I don't if she watches tonight she might find out about it but um I am curious to see how she's going to react to it in a lot of different ways just like

4:19

functionally I'm curious to see how she'll react to seeing the data presented in that manner. I'm also curious how she'll react knowing that you know somebody who watches our show made this. Um, I don't know. It's going to be interesting. But that's what I'm planning to do for Wednesday, unless any like big thing pops off that I feel like we need to cover, but that's my plan for Wednesday is just to do no videos, no clips, and just go through that website.

4:45

Scrawn Diggy Chad, I went to The Grove today. Parking was expensive, but it was quite lovely. Nice. The Grove, for those who don't know, is a my favorite mall out here in Los Angeles. It's an outdoor mall owned by a complete piece of [ __ ] but um it's fantastic. I love the Grove. They have a great movie theater. They got good restaurants. There aren't a lot of stores there that I like, strangely.

5:08

I just like the the ambiance, the atmosphere. So, I'm glad that you had a good time. Sorry about the parking. The trick is if you park there, you want to go to the movie theater. They validate and I believe Barnes & Noble validates, just to let you know. Harley Rhodess Productions. Hello. As an author to as an author to Oh, like also I get it now. As an author also, my children's book is available on many sites around the world. I'm having tough time with marketing. What did you do to market your book? Is it available in actual stores? That's my next goal. I'm not

5:48

sure which book of mine you're talking about. Um, I've written a couple. They were all marketed in different ways. The most recent book that I wrote was called How to Win the Bachelor. It is a non-fiction book that kind of is like the Moneyball of the Bachelor, like how to play that reality show as a game. That book was marketed by me and my co-host on our podcast that we had been doing for three or four years up to that point up to the point of the publication of that book. My other books prior to that were all marketed by um it's it's hard to say they were marketed

6:21

by the publisher because the publisher was very bad at that. My first book ever was a book called The Average American Male. It came out in 200 let's say seven or eight somewhere around there. And the marketing for that was I pitched them my publisher if they I was like, "Will you give me $2,000 to make some videos and put them on YouTube?" Which at the time was kind of like a new thing to do. So I made these little like vignettes basically of of scenes that were like scenes in the book and then we put those on YouTube and it went viral and that worked very well. It

6:55

was when viral videos first started kind of becoming a thing. God, it's crazy to think about that. It was before, to my knowledge, before Instagram, certainly before Tik Tok and all that [ __ ] Um, at any rate, yeah, you just social media, social media, social media, social media. That's what all marketing is now. Kim Williamson, and good luck with your book. 9571. Since Marylu is Catholic, does she support Pope Leo as he's pro-immigrants? Does she use the same logic? I'm Catholic and he's my pope, so I support him. She does not use the same logic. when he was um selected to be the pope. I don't

7:32

remember when that was, but go back. We did an episode about it for sure. And both my mom and my dad were not in support of the current pope because he's against Trump. He also I don't know if you remember, he issued some like statements that were like very clearly pointedly against things Trump was doing where like immigration and stuff was uh concerned and yeah, my parents did not like that. And they said that he wasn't even Catholic, I think. if I remember right and I remember my dad saying that Catholics don't believe in the Bible also. So take what they say with a grain

8:04

of salt I suppose. Harleys productions I am also veggie not vegan. Okay. What does your food consist of? What do you do to keep healthy? Have you tried a low FODMAP diet or heard of it? I have not heard of it and I have not tried it. My diet consists of primarily one meal that I make. I call it the grrul. It's not grl though. It's like kind of a hearty vegetable soup. It is.

8:34

This is how I prepare it anyway. It's a bunch of tomatoes in vegetable broth with turmeric and uh lentils. I cook that. As that's cooking, I then fry up in some vegetable or uh olive oil. Um cubed tofu with onions and garlic. Then once that's kind of a nice golden brown, I set that aside. Then I get out a whole bunch of vegetables and stir fry them in olive oil and a little bit of salt and pepper. These vegetables are broccoli.

9:08

Here, let me just go in the order that I put it in the pan. It's I'm like imagining myself cooking this right now. It is um Brussels sprouts, broccoli, orange bell peppers, uh mushrooms, kale, red cabbage, spinach, green onions, carrots. Am I missing anything? Mushrooms. Did I mention that? Shiakei mushrooms. Um I think that's all. And then I stir fry that up. While I stir fry that up, I eat a slice of a beet every day. Then once that stir fry is done and once the pot with the boiling tomatoes and lentils is done, I take all that [ __ ] including the tofu and the onions and

9:49

the garlic and I just mix it all together into this kind of like vegetable stew. Um, and that's what I eat. I hope you try it and hope you like it. Um, Dr. Nimrod, what you eating, Mary Lou will never change IMO. What you eating, Mary Lou will never change IMO. Well, Dr. Nimrod, Marylu has changed IMO. Um, she now is saying abolish ICE. She is now for universal healthcare. She is against the war.

10:19

These are all things that are massive changes in her. So, your statement that she will never change is incorrect. She already has. Bamarola 24, I love that you kept calling Trump authoritarian dictator. Yeah, last night when I was writing the um topics out, I was like, I'm just going to call this [ __ ] an author authoritarian dictator every time that I say his name now and see what my mom does. But she had no reaction to it. And I'm like, did she accept that he is an authoritarian dictator? Is that what's happening here?

10:47

Uh, I thought it was funny though. Mickey Malooki, Marylu and Haley were so cute giggling together today. It reinforces the whole idea of the podcast. Also, Maryl would probably be a riot after an edible. Yeah, I want to get both of my parents high. Honestly, I think that was like one of my goals when I first started this podcast. Maybe about a month in. I was like somehow someway I'm gonna get these [ __ ] high on the show.

11:10

And then they both refused and I don't know how to actually get that done, but I would love to see her after an edible as well. Side of the ham 420. You seen the guy who timestamps every We'll see. Um, have I seen that? I don't think so. I'm I am unsure. I might have seen it. My apologies. Abby Bor 2000. I think Mary Lou needs a crash course in the sunk cost fallacy.

11:40

It's the logic she uses for her support of Trump and for the casualties in the Iran war. I don't know if she uses it exactly. It's something weirder. It's not as like um straightforward as that. I think for her there's something about like she has already in her mind determined this stance of like well I want the war to be over soon and so that's what I'm standing on. I don't think that it's like oh maybe it is a little bit of a sunk cost. I don't know. Um, but I don't think that like explaining to my mom, uh, philosophical and argumentative, you know, techniques, I don't think

12:23

that's going to do anything to her, honestly. I don't think like approaching any of that stuff logically will do anything. Whoa. Cat Caddy, am I reading this right? Caddy anamontis. Anamontes, I'm sorry. 5724. When are you gonna finish Love is Blind UK? Look, we're on Traders now. We're on that uh Trader New Blood USA season 1, which is [ __ ] great. So, not until after that. And then I think after that ends, we already we have a Love is Blind USA starting up. Um Love is Blind UK has been put on the back burner. This is on my other podcast. For anybody who likes

13:10

reality TV, check out Game of Roses. That's another show that I do with a friend of mine named Lizzie Pace. Um, Love is Blind UK. We watched, I believe, three episodes. We may or may not ever get back to it. I'll be very honest with you. Uh, because we have a bunch of stuff coming up now. And that Chris Harrison show is coming out. You know, I'm going to be doing that one in November. That shit's going to be wild. Uh, Cassie Rumba, thank you very much. For those who don't know, Chris Harrison is the ex-host of The Bachelor. He got um fired

13:43

from The Bachelor in 2021 after season 25 of the show because that was the season with the first Black Bachelor. and he went on um extra and did an interview trying to defend the player that would eventually become the ring winner of that show because pictures of her surfaced from when she was in college uh attending an antibbellum ball. And so they sent Chris Harrison, the host out, they knew obviously that she wins. And as the season is airing, it's like, "Oh [ __ ] people are getting pissed. These pictures came out." So, they sent him out on Extra to do an a live or not

14:21

live, but to do an on camera interview with Rachel Lindsay, who was the first black bachelorette in season 13 and and at the time did on camera for um Extra. And he basically just said all this racist [ __ ] about like, oh, everybody goes to Antabell and parties, who gives a [ __ ] So, they fired him. He then uh did this kind of like you know whiny like wo is me I'm being persecuted type tour around all media and then just disappeared for a while then he came back on Dr. Phil's network but none of his [ __ ] ever Dr. Phil's network, I

14:57

think, is bankrupt now in the toilet. And so now Chris Harrison has created and is hosting a new dating show that is going to be on Fox Nation that is like The Bachelor, but it's for ultra Christian ultra Christian trades. It is going to be a train wreck. I'm going to watch every [ __ ] second of it. So join me for that. Hillary Brewer 311.

15:21

You need Jerry Green on the show. She's the Democratic candidate for Tennessee governor. Marcia refused to debate her, saying she won't give heir to a socialist. Jerry wants to talk to your family. I've emailed what? Let me get some papers. I just need to get my papers. Let me put it on here. Terry Green, look, I got emails flying all around now trying to get different people on this goddamn show.

15:55

for NC. So, you best believe I'm really trying to pump up the guests uh over the next however long month or so. Trying to get some people for these elections and [ __ ] Mary O'Brien 3390. Everyone needs to be nicer to Haley and stop teasing her for having a life. What? I don't I know people think that I'm like, you know, being mean to her or whatever. This is not the case. I love my sister. I am I couldn't be more proud of her and happy for her living her life and having her fun travels and her business blowing up. It's [ __ ] great.

16:33

Uh this is just the nature of a relationship between an older brother and a younger sister. No matter how old we actually are at this point, the the childhood relationship, the core of it is still in there. I got a teaser. I have to. Amy Allen 8117. The reason Trump can't slash won't end the war is because he's making money off of it, not just because he doesn't know what he's doing. Yes, I I agree with that. Um but I do think if he could end it, I think he would because I think he knows it's like a losing um you know, subject for him at this

17:11

point. I think he knows that it's going to [ __ ] the Republican party in these uh midterms that are coming up. I think he knows that it's going to [ __ ] him. Prices are going up and all this [ __ ] His approval rating is the lowest it has ever been. And at least one thing that I saw the other day put it at 27 [ __ ] percent. Like he doesn't see those numbers and think like, "Ah, [ __ ] it.

17:31

I'm still making money." Because he's made so much money. He kind of like I think in his mind probably has already like met that goal and now it's about power and legacy and maintaining those things. And I think he understands that those things are like not being maintained well. U but I agree he is making money off of it. There ain't no denying that. Dian's hi Chad.

17:54

What is that? A waving emoji. Handwaving emoji. Yeah. Have you and or Haley ever confronted Mary Lou about her being racist? Yes. Multiple times on this very show. You guys have acknowledged it during the lives, but she acts unaware. We have discussed it. I don't even know how many times in multiple of our episodes. and uh she usually just goes racism is alive and well. I remember her and my dad saying that in in some early episode of this show, but as uh racism in this country is like forever tied to the political system and and really everything that happens in this [ __ ]

18:28

country. Yeah, we've discussed it quite a bit. Um, my apologies for I can't remember like specific episodes, but uh, for sure if you just go back and like look through if there's any that seemed to be titled around an event that might have happened in politics or something at the time or like you know the DEI stuff when Trump first came in and he was like, "We have to get rid of DEI."

18:52

I'm sure we had that conversation in some of those episodes. I would go back and check those out if you're interested. But yes, to answer the question, we have definitely confronted her about it and my dad multiple times. Um, Shion or or Zeon, I'm so sorry. 3303. Oh my god, you have to call Wednesday's pod the X Files. I was probably going to call it Maryl's X's or something like that. Um, we'll see how it goes. I usually title the the episode after we record in case like something was said in it that would be a good title or whatever.

19:27

H Turtles 6037 Victor D. Hansen, the guy Marylu Champions, is a classicist historian. He has no base in politics and his books are even racist. He believes Western white war tactics are the greatest and discredits others. Yeah, that guy. She always brings me a clip of that [ __ ] guy and every time he's just saying the, you know, like more racist [ __ ] than the last time I saw it. And I'm like, who is this [ __ ] racist? He's a very well-known historian. And I'm just like, well, the only thing I know about him is these [ __ ] racist ass clips you're showing

19:59

me. So, I don't know. I mean, I guess he has kind of the patina of academia or something backing him. I don't know why my mom likes that guy so much. I do not. Avy Ber 2000. I wonder I've wondered about who could help Marylu finally switch sides. Have you considered having guests like Sam Cedar co-host Emma Vigundi Hassan? I am working on some guests in the vein of those types of people. Yes.

20:29

Um people who have been on the other side at one point and switched over things of this nature. So yes, the answer is yes. I am working on that stuff. Booking these guests is [ __ ] like it's hard. I don't know what else to say. It's not an easy thing. Ah Nixxie sparkling water lime ginger pretty good. Juan tante. Chad, please let Haley know it's not called a [ __ ] stamp anymore. It's now called a cake topper.

21:04

What is that true? Holy [ __ ] that's funny. Is that the Gen Z the gen slang for [ __ ] stamp is cake topper? God damn, that's funny. Any spoilers on the Wednesday episode changes? Yeah, I'm going to go through that the website that someone made um where it's like all of my mom's in quotes X's and we're just going to roll through them all and see if the tonnage has any effect on her.

21:32

Um do Hernandez, I think I'm saying this right. Oh no, Doc Hernandez. Sorry. Thank you very much. Um Jeff Boy Rard, I get it. Four. Chad, please tell your mom Hassan isn't bad. Blowback is a CIA term. Tell her to Google it. He meant US middle east policy led to 911. Apologized two days later and clarified. Important. She knows he's not anti-American. It doesn't matter. Um, as I'm sure you've seen with my mom, facts don't really matter. It's just like whatever she's told on Newsmax is what she will believe. And uh my sister and I just try to do like a a diligent job on

22:13

this show of kind of refuting those things in a way that that gets her to at least you know drop some of those ideas which she has done. Again I would point anyone to the fact that she um you know says abolish ICE wants universal healthcare all that [ __ ] She's made progress. But I don't think that explaining how blowback is a CIA term will will do much in and also like she loves Hassan [ __ ] I don't think she none of that sticks. She called him her [ __ ] son on our last podcast.

22:50

What a strange [ __ ] turn of events this podcast has become. Um, Mr. Bigs 410, thank you very much. Dubles, I love that you accidentally looked up porn on the live last week and assumed we were working together to make. Oh, go Xlist. Is that what is coming Wednesday? Yes, that is what is coming Wednesday. And um yeah, that was pretty [ __ ] funny cuz everybody was like, "Oh, just type in the Xlist or something like that." And I typed it in and it was just a [ __ ] porn site. And I was like, great, that's now in my my search

23:27

history. It's in my [ __ ] algorithm. Um, but yes, the XList is a real website. Uh, it's that is what it's called, right? The X is it the Xlist.org. Let me just type this in just to make sure that I have it right. The Xlist.org. Yeah, it's the X. If anybody wants to look at this, it's the t-x li.org. og and it has this AI [ __ ] thing of my mom doing like an act like this. It's so [ __ ] hilarious. How many X's would it take?

24:07

Her objections to Trump. Her words 182 videos reviewed, 35 clear, five qualified, 40 issues, 354 original scan windows. I don't know what any of this [ __ ] means, but you can basically look um what's ledger? There's like a one mark, one issue type thing. Choose a subject above or open any X. So there's like 40 X's on here. Hypothetical federal abortion ban and criminal penalties, physical and indiscriminate deportation tactics, calling a woman reporter piggy, etc., etc., etc., etc. And so these are all like the things that she basically has said um she wasn't down with. Oh, and then it even has a number. So like physical and

24:53

indiscriminate deportation tactics has three times she has mentioned it basically. Replay the ex's will just play the video. No. Okay. I have to learn this website before Wednesday. But um it's great. It's fantastic and it's hilarious. Um moving on. H turtles to add on other historians discredit his work. Uh, for example, he thinks whites took over the Aztecs because their superior tactics and doesn't account account for disease.

25:29

Yeah, there was a book not that long ago um called Oh, wait. What did I do? I skipped over some. I'll go back. Um, there was a book not that long ago called Guns, Germs, and Steel that basically talk about how white Europeans were able to uh, you know, take over the world because of these kind of arbitrary things. Guns, Germs, and Steel. Um, but yeah, I'm I'm glad that that guy's discredited in other circles. Two ices, one palm. Hey C, what do you think of the new traders? New Blood Season. Love it. Did you train anyone? I'll never tell. Or can you say? I can't say. Don't

26:07

need to say who. I won't. Um, this season so far is shaping up to be pretty good and the cast is out for the new celebrity traders as well. [ __ ] I cannot wait. Whitney Leit's on it. Okay. Can't wait. Tony Hupil, by the way, all the other acts and Ed Sheeran's own band quit on him for not standing up to McLemore. Standing up for McLemore.

26:33

Also, Bob Craft is in the Epstein Files and was busted for repeatedly going to happy endings places. Yeah. And he's like a good friend and and financial supporter of Donald Trump as well. Um, yeah, that Ed Sharon [ __ ] I I had I heard it like kind of a little bit. I knew that people were pissed at him or whatever. I didn't know like all the details. My sister was laying out today. It's [ __ ] wild. Anybody who like does music of any kind, unless you're like [ __ ] kid rock or something, like you can't you have to be liberal. You have to uh at least

27:06

publicly. Okay. Where was I now? There it is. Okay. Olivia Alisia 9756. Grew up in Kansas and live in Nova now. What's Nova? Do you feel the culture shift when you go back to Oklahoma? When I go home, I can almost feel the racism and hate in the air. Uh, yelp. I live in Los Angeles. Um, which I would say is like an extraordinarily liberal city. And, um, not only that, I live in West Hollywood, which is like a very liberal, LGBTQ plus, very friendly community, you know. Um, so yeah, when I go back to Oklahoma and it's just a bunch of [ __ ] camouflage and trucks and you

27:52

don't see a Prius ever, you know, it's pretty wild. Um, what's Nova North Virginia? I don't know what that is. Um, but yes, the answer is yes, I do feel the culture shock. The cultural shock. Dubles Haley and Mary were adorable today. Wish every episode could have them in the same room. Love you guys. My preference would be that we are all in the same room for every episode so that we can see each other eye to eye. But it simply can't happen as we all live in different parts of this glorious country.

28:23

Um, Jesus a bear Martinez. Hope I'm doing that right. 2374. Even if the border is closed, which it is not, undocumented individuals fly in with valid working visas, then they that then expire so they can stay and work. Yes. My mom seems to think that there's like Ellis Island is still a thing and you have to like go through and show them your papers and tell them what your job is and all this [ __ ] It's like even today she was saying something about how um things were when she was like a kid in the 50s and the 60s and [ __ ] And I'm

29:00

just like are they in their mind living in that era still? Like that time doesn't exist. Things have clearly changed, you know, in a lot of ways. Um, so she doesn't get, I think, how immigration or really anything else contemporarily works. Jenny Berg, have you considered hiring someone to fact check during the pod? It's frustrating when Maryl gets away with untrue statements. Love the show.

29:23

Um, I have not, but and nor do I think that would be the the first person brought onto the staff if we ever do that. I think it would probably be somebody to help me with editing, honestly, and producing a little bit. Well, I guess maybe they could fact check live. Maybe that could just be a part of the job. I'll think about that. Um, but I don't know when that would happen to be honest. Commander Commander Aliodon or Aliato in seven. I'm so sorry. Ask Mary Lou if Trump being guilty in civil court is not same as criminal offense then why is being on undocumented which

30:01

is civil same as criminal offense to her? That is a good question. I think I even wrote that down this week and then forgot to to mention it. I'll bring that up next time there's a a topic about immigration or something for sure. Kimmy Crawford, Kim Ree Crawford, sorry. I only allow myself a few if Obama did this a day and I already ran out when I saw Logan and Jake Paul that [ __ ] [ __ ] Also, um, Austinite here and [ __ ] Ice. Happy Austining. Yes. when so I don't know if any of you guys have seen this video, but they brought the Paul

30:32

brothers in to talk to like US military brass and [ __ ] and it's just like what are we doing? It literally is [ __ ] idiocracy. We now have pro wrestlers running the goddamn country and bringing each other in to like give pep talks. It's [ __ ] insane. Dubles, slow clap for the amazing worth of Mary Lou this week. Great balance of pointing out hypocrisy and not letting her avoid answering. Thank you. Also, A+ on Trump's new title. Haha, thank you very much. Like I said, I thought the um authoritarian dictator Donald Trump, I was just waiting for my mom to be like,

31:07

"Why are you cobbling him that?" And then I would say, "Well, because he just banned [ __ ] three news outlets from being in the White House." Natalie Peterson 4181. I'm excited for Mary Lou to see the exist. I think this is a clear outline of her views. might help her go through the next stages of grieving her old beliefs and maybe confront shame for still supporting Trump. Yeah, possibly. I The thing that I really like about this site as I have it up here is the little like it almost looks like a calendar, you know, one mark one issue the evidence map and it's

31:39

it's just seeing it you're like [ __ ] it's so many times that she has, you know, found an X or whatever. Um it's nuts. the big X. Yeah, I'll have to go back and watch I I I need to go like do a deep dive through this site. These little AI things of us do hilarious. They're so weird looking. It's like it's us, I guess. I guess, you know, it's like off. It's bizarre.

32:13

A little personality in their own words. I don't like that. Oh my god, this is so [ __ ] funny. Yeah, I have to go through and do like a deep dive into this before I do this thing with my mom. Um, Jason Henderson, have you thought about getting an Islam expert on the right uses Sharia law to scare people like Marylu? Maybe knowing what Sharia law is would help. We god, I don't know how long ago this was. Um, it was not an expert, but we kind of went through Sharia law and how it's not being implemented here and what it actually

32:45

is, etc., etc., and it seemed to have no effect on my mom. There are certain like kind of boogeyman topics that the right will use, I mean specifically on Newsmax, but in a lot of places too that once they put it in my mom's head, my mom has no shot at ever understanding Sharia law. Nor does she want to. She just knows it's this bad thing that means Islam is taking over the United States and that's never going to be reprogrammed. um until I think she gets to a point where she can like dismiss everything basically that her right-wing media outlets are telling her. Um I have

33:22

reached the super chat limit. Thank you everybody. I'm going to turn it off now and I'm going to answer all the rest of the ones that are in the queue here. Turning it off now. Yes, I understand. Thank you. Okay. Um where was I? Cousin Betty, can you share with Mary Lou the video from the Kla versus Trump debate in which she predicted everything he has already done during his term? I have that video. That video has been going around the um been getting pushed around the internet a lot this week and I did flag that one. I have it saved in my necessary

33:54

conversations Instagram. I was going to use it, but again, this Wednesday, I think we're going to do this um uh Oh, did I not click that? No, I did. Okay, there. I think I'm gonna do the um the X Files thing instead. But yes, I do want to show her that video at some point. Alenstein, you caught Maryl today. My president is my country. X, but she she won't rely on that. I I tried to engage her in that where she's like, well, he's the president. I voted for him. I still have no And I'm like, but you didn't do that with Biden. You

34:33

never said, "Well, Biden's my president because it's my country." Um, it it doesn't work. Like, you can't show her logical equivalence and see the hypocrisy in it. She will never succumb to that. It's just like a It's a pointless kind of um endeavor. I tried today as hard as I could and she wouldn't she wouldn't side of the ham 420. What's your best tofu recipe? I want to eat Mo. I get um I can probably show it to you. Give me one second and I'll get this out of my fridge.

35:18

Okay, this is the kind that I get. It's called high protein tofu wildwood organic. If you can see it. Um, it's like kind of it's super firm is the kind that I get and it's like it's like thicker than regular tofu. Um, I'm going to go put this back in the fridge. I cut that up into cubes. Um, how many would it be? It's four.

35:55

I I do four rows widthwise and then I do a slice down the middle and two rows lengthwise. However many that makes. Um and then I put those in a pan. I put some olive oil in that pan and I have a little this um Oceans Halo soyfree soy sauce that I use. I put a little bit of that on there and then I just fry it up until every side of these cubes is kind of golden brown. Then I put chopped onions in that same pan.

36:24

Stir that around. Fry that around a little bit. And then put a whole thing of garlic that I've peeled and and minced. Basically, dump that in there. Cook that a little bit. And that's it. That's the whole recipe. And it's [ __ ] great. Um, Mr. Bigs, thank you. Chad's commercial summaries. Okay, I don't know if it's already been pointed out to you, but the creepy traitor twins are the Weasley twins from Harry Potter.

36:52

I knew they were [ __ ] familiar looking. So, wait a minute. What the [ __ ] So, they just had those dudes who played the Weasley twins in Harry Potter. They're now just playing the Weasley twins in Traders. It's so bizarre. Um, so bizarre. That makes sense, though. I knew they looked familiar. Uh, Alli Stanley 1496. Hi, Chad. Fellow vegan here. Hello. What's your death row meal? Cinnabon. How about you? I would just [ __ ] [ __ ] house a whole thing.

37:26

Give me six Cinnabons. I just [ __ ] eat them all. Rainbow Bacon 1996. What part of your face was affected by the cancer? This part. I don't notice any scarring. [ __ ] I do. Last year, I dealt with skin cancer on my nose and it it felt a nasty scar. Um, it was right here above this lip. It started out as like just a little bump that I thought was like a zit and then it it just kept growing and in about two weeks time it was about the size of a grape maybe. Um, horrifying. And they just basically cut this entire piece of my face off. I have

38:02

some gnarly pictures where there's just no skin here. It's just like exposed teeth. And so yeah, they just cut all the [ __ ] out, yanked the skin together, stitched it up, and then I had to go have radiation and all that [ __ ] Now I'm missing basically like like this piece of my face is actually my cheek because it's been yanked over so it doesn't grow hair or anything. Sorry you went through that and uh I hope you're doing better.

38:28

Bamarilla 10 jewels gold coin. Thank you. No idea. Berwin, if Mary Lou and Bob didn't care for Trump before he was president, why such blind loyalty now? Is it just pure racism? Um not pure. that that's a big piece of it. But not pure racism. I think it's I mean we God I remember I I don't know how long ago this was very early on. My I know that my dad when I was a kid did not like Donald Trump cuz he worked with some people that like were in the periphery of doing deals with him and all this kind of [ __ ] I remember he got

39:01

me an autographed um Art of the Deal book when I was you know whatever [ __ ] eight years old or something. Uh, I think why they like him now is because they hate liberals. They hated Obama for racist reasons and they hate all liberals. They think, as my dad always says, communist, blah, blah, blah. And Trump is the opposite of that. And he like attacks liberals, which they love. I think that really is it. It just boils down to that. Dubles, the because he's mean to them excuse for kicking out press is absolute insanity. Agreed.

39:37

might be worth revisiting and maybe even showing clips of how actual presidents handle tough questions in the past. Yeah, maybe. I just don't think like I don't think comparing Trump to other presidents or his behaviors or decisions or how he speaks or anything like has any effect on my mom or my dad for that matter. My dad in fact probably likes that he that he kicked him out, you know. But I agree. Um absolute [ __ ] insanity. We are in a dictatorship now.

40:06

That's I I really read hardcore because I was like, did Nixon do that? I had some kind of memory about reading that Nixon tried to [ __ ] with something and it it wasn't that he didn't kick the Washington Post out of the White House. He um he tried to borrow a reporter or something. I forget what he did, but it wasn't as bad as what Trump is doing now. And it wasn't even effective. Like it didn't work, but that was the only thing ever close to it. Firefly 10241. Private companies can ban. Bob doesn't want guests under 30 on the necessary conversation show,

40:39

which is fair. Government can't ban news channels. Government is not a private company. Yeah, correct. And it's literally freedom of the press. It's enshrined in our amendments that um the press has to have access to the government so that they can report on it. And by cutting out three news outlets that Trump obviously feels is or like [ __ ] against him or whatever, you know, we're we're living in in Russia to some degree. Now, Chad's commercial summaries. It's frustrating seeing Marylu recognize when she is being hypocritical and not care or do the intellectual work to correct it.

41:12

Yes, I agree. And that is kind of her um it's it's like the final layer of psychological defense when I get her into some position where I'm like, I've laid out the facts and I've gotten her to acknowledge that she doesn't like what Trump is doing in one way or another, whatever the the specific thing may be. And then she's just like, "Okay." She just like stops, you know?

41:35

Um, and I don't know where to go from there when I get her to that point because that is her essentially saying like, "You got me." But I'm not willing to admit that. And I have to just kind of move on. But I'm I'm hopeful that the more that happens, eventually it breaks through. That's again my hope. Hypobonics. Bob has been gone from the pod for so long that it's going to be a jump scare for us when he actually comes back.

42:02

I know. I know. He has been gone for a minute. I'm I'm thinking maybe next week we'll do a thing where like he can record a little one minute rant or something about whatever whatever he thinks is like important or interesting from the week and then we can play that and react to it or something maybe. But I just don't like he can't sit up for very long so he can't really be on the show.

42:24

Not yet. Emily Macllum 9139. Remember when you burned your face cooking gr? Uh, yep. For those who don't know, I mean, [ __ ] there's an episode or two of this show where I have like multiple burns on my face because I was cooking grl and I was smashing um the tomatoes like up against the side of the pot that I cooked the tomato portion of it in, the tomatoes and lentils, and the wooden spoon snapped and the it just flipped like scalding hot gr onto my face. I just had like boiling tomato skins just [ __ ] searing me. It's terrible.

43:03

Um, Dubles, do you think if Trump is alive, he'd try for another term? Absolutely. If so, do you think he would leave office if he lost? No, I don't. I think all this [ __ ] that he's talking about, his bunker and now the triumphal arch that he's going to have [ __ ] snipers on, I think it's literally so he can try and seize control when he loses an election or when he's, you know, mandated to leave office. I don't think he's going out because he has to know that as soon as he's not president, those 34 felonies that comes back the

43:37

because he's been sentenced and has not served the sentence. Um, all of the [ __ ] Epstein like every kind of investigation that can be done will start to be done and there ain't no way he's getting out of it. He knows he's committed crimes that are like going to land him in jail. So, he's going to go out, I think, um, in a hail of gunfire.

43:58

just my predictions. I turn it down. I fact checked that entire video of the guy spewing the facts. I want to make a video of it for you. The tactic of doing that is called Gish Gallup. Never heard of it. Um, yeah. Sounds interesting though. Manon monomous mouse mouse. Am I reading this right? Mononymous mouse. That's what I'm trying to do. Please, for all of our well-being, please stop doing the horrible Trump impression. Love the show. Look, I can't help it. Trump comes through me. I'm channeling him. It's like um Have you guys seen those? There's a bunch of people now doing these like claiming

44:42

they can channel aliens and celestial beings and [ __ ] Have you seen that? It's like my favorite little weird corner of TikTok now. Um maybe I'll do that instead. Instead of doing Trump like this, I'll do it like this. And I said, "I will put snipers on the triumphal arch." That's how they all do this weird performing. Look it up if you don't know what I'm talking about.

45:07

Chad's commercial summaries. Did you know Tyler Cameron is on Dancing with the Stars this season? I did. And Mora Higgins. I did. Wasn't sure if you knew. I do know. I'm not a big Dancing with the Stars fan. Um I don't really like to watch people dance unless it's like very specific robot dancing. I like that. That's about it. Harley Rhodess Productions. Do you or Marylu know Mum Donniey's uh mom is a filmmaker?

45:32

Mirinire. You should check out her movies. I didn't know that. I wonder what kind of movie she makes. Dirt Dober 2054. Hey Chad, I'm an upcoming actor filmmaker and I was wondering if you had any pointers. Also, Roman and I were really good friends when I was younger. He talked about how amazing you were at OW Lol. Oh, Overwatch. That's a video game. Um, well, congratulations on being an actor and a filmmaker. Any pointers?

46:01

I mean, [ __ ] I'm probably the wrong person to be asking. Um, you know, the the TV and movie industry has changed drastically since I got into it back in the early 2000s. Um, you know, now I would say just make your [ __ ] put it on the internet. That's that's the best way you can go about it. Look at like all the the big directors now at least this past year.

46:26

Um what is that guy's name? Curry Barker and I forget the guy who did back rooms, but they were both just like making YouTube videos and [ __ ] and then you know cobbled together enough money got A24 interested in an idea and now they're [ __ ] big time. They're going to get to do whatever they want for the rest of their life in in film and TV. I would say make [ __ ] Put it out there.

46:46

See what people say. Rotty or Rati or Ratty 5547 just here to say ignore that other chatter and keep doing the trumpet impression. I die laughing every damn time. Okay. Well, we've got different opinions in the chat here, but uh I can't even help it. It just happens. So, it will be done again. Actually, Breezy, hi Chad. Really like the episode of Betto, sorry. Thank you very much. I like that episode very much, too. I think every time we have on somebody who is liberal like that, um, and my mom like, you know, winds up liking them or whatever, I think it's it has done the most to move the needle

47:29

with my mom those episodes. So, so definitely I'm thankful that Betto came on. Dubles, we need a video on next episode of a wave from Bob. Proof of life. I look, I have proof of life. I had a phone call with him. It lasted 17 minutes. Um, phone calls with him never last 17 minutes, but I have talked to him multiple times since all of his maladies. He is alive. I can assure you of this. Um, and I, like I said, I think next week we'll probably have we will have this video that you demand, Dubles, this proof of life video. Whoopi panoo.

48:06

Um, where is the love? Not sure if you noticed, but Mary Lou let it slip that her loyalty is because she voted for him. So comparing the situation of Biden or Obama won't work. Ah, good point. It's about the voting. Yeah. And so does that mean she's never Oh my god. No, Scotty, don't go in there. Oh my god, my cat. He's going behind my He's Get out of there. He's gonna be covered in cobwebs. Jesus Christ. Um, yeah, that's a good point. I didn't even think of that.

48:42

I wonder if there is something in there like the the um the nature of like voting for somebody meaning oh well then I can never go back on that. Maybe I'll I'll inquire about that next week. Like is the vote does it have magical powers or something? Why is it the vote that matters? Had turtles 6037. Ask historians about Victor Davis Hansen. They will credit his early work but completely discredit this completely discredit his 2000's work.

49:08

Sorry. I mean, I'm just crediting it every time I see that [ __ ] guy. 95 Turbo Girl 1980. I saw Mdonni is having Trump over at Gracie Mansion tomorrow. He can make time for that. He can definitely make time for the necessary conversation. Okay. I don't think that's true, but thank you for the thought. Have your parents Oops, sorry. Ancestor Harriet, have your parents ever had friends of color? Um, friends like, not to my memory.

49:47

I could be wrong. I'm sure co-workers of color have existed for my parents, but like I can never remember them bringing anybody but white people over for, you know, when my dad would play poker or whatever, [ __ ] like that. But I don't know. Like the answer is I don't truly know. I don't think so. But I don't know. Firefly 10241. Fox News says the city is burning to the ground from the studio in Manhattan.

50:14

Newsmax film studio is in Manhattan. They film in Mum Donny's area. Okay, interesting knowledge. Thank you for that. Lily Shepard 1357. My dad passed this week after five months of rare cancer. Jesus, sorry to hear that. I hope your dad makes a full recovery and ends up being around for a long time. Thank you very much. And again, sorry to hear about your dad. I hope you and your family are are uh together and getting through it the best you can. That's tough.

50:42

I turned it down. Ask Mary Lou the trolley problem. Lol. What's that? I don't know what that is. Kim Williamson 9571. Trump admitted it's all about power. He said he could even ban fishing. He said he could ban fishing. won't because his good friend owns Bass Pro Shops and he could put him out of business. What the [ __ ] He said he could ban What does that even mean?

51:08

Ban fishing. That's [ __ ] bizarre. I didn't hear that one. What the [ __ ] God, better than 98. Kudos to Mary Lou for trying to turn over a new leaf, but I'm keeping track. And she already broke that a week ago. Lol. It may be helpful to display who her peers in the MAGA cult mainly criminals are. I'm not sure what you're referring to that she broke.

51:33

Turning over a new leaf, but keep track already broke that. I'm not sure what you're referring to better than 98 in terms of what she broke, but um I think you might like Wednesday's episode where we're going to do this excellence thing. Chad's commercial summaries. That reminds me, Mary Lou's indignation about Piker's thirst trap being up at RNC cracked me up. She was big mad at Haley for seeing that you were the one who put the pick on the show.

52:00

This is a thing that my mom does. When when um Trump first won the the election in 2016, I made a couple of memes of him and I posted it on my Facebook page and my mom got pissed at me and said, "I'm never talking to you again unless you take that down. You ruined my Facebook." She says, again, I'm not hacking into her Facebook and posting it. It's just that she saw it on um Facebook generally, so I ruined in quotes her Facebook. So, she gets pissed at people for like showing her things or for doing things on the internet, even though it's not like I

52:36

didn't generate the images of Trump uh that I used in these memes. Becky the lefty, have you seen the shift that's happening in Kansas with Roger Marshall versus Adam Hamilton? Even here in the heartland, we are fed the [ __ ] up. I have not, but I hope that that shift is uh to the blue side, of course. Good luck to you all. Ken FX28, I want to believe there's something after we deboo daboo.

53:03

I want to believe there's something after we daboo, but what am I looking at here? Oh, I'm so sorry. I want to believe there's something after we die, but when people argue, Diboo [ __ ] man. When people argue, it's like before we were born, the idea of nothingness scares me. What do you think? I mean, [ __ ] this is a deep ass question. Um, Ken FX28.

53:30

I used to think that it was that way, that it was like like you weren't here before you were born and you're same thing after you die. I don't really think that anymore. Um, I just don't really think that anymore based on a lot of like weird quantum science that's kind of going on now that has to do with human observation and human consciousness affecting physical reality. Based on a lot of personal experiences I've had with weird, you know, consciousness experimentations and stuff like this. I personally think that human consciousness persists after death. I don't think that it's um explicitly tied to a human body. I don't

54:07

think that it that the mind creates consciousness. I think it's kind of the other way around or or that like the human mind or that molecules or particles or whatever we consider the physical reality to be. I think in one way or another it's just like it's a bunch of antennas for consciousness. And I think that's what the human mind and body are. Um and that when you die the signal is still there but the antenna ain't picking it up anymore. That's all.

54:32

That's what I think. Jack Zilkin. Bob is writing his congressman to get a visa for a Ugandan woman. What? I'm not sure I understand this one. Jack Silken, my apologies. U Major Payne 9559. Could you show Maryl easily debunkable Republican memes and see if she agrees with them, then have the answer ready to show her? Um, I'm not sure what this means either. Easily debunkable Republican memes and see if she agrees with them. and then have Do you mean like trick her?

55:10

Like make fake Republican memes, trick her and then be like, "See, you got it wrong." I think that that kind of a thing would never work on my mom. She would get pissed and quit the show. So, I will not be doing that. Um, erase the process one. Hey, dude. Hey, dude. I mentioned this before a few weeks ago. Please write it down and take a look.

55:29

Covert narcissist. Darvo. Maybe I do know what Darvo is. Is that like It's like deflect, attack, reverse. victim other guy or something. Covert narcissist Darvo. Narcissist Dar Darvo. Okay, I wrote it down. Um, thank you for reminding me. And we have two more. Anita Bonita, 18. Did Mary Lou see Barbara Walters's interview with Trump? This is the old one you're talking about. Or was there is there a new recent one that I don't know about? Um, probably the old one. Yeah. I mean, they watch everything that he does. So, yeah.

56:19

And finally, Kim Maddie 365 200 jewels jamming. Thank you um very much for your 200 jewels and your jamming. Let me go down to the bottom of these comments now. Um, let me see what else we got. Oh, proper 50. She's just as awful as Bob. I don't think that's true. You're talking about my mom because she is now saying abolish ICE. My dad would never [ __ ] say that. She's now saying universal healthcare. My dad would never [ __ ] say that. She's now saying we need to get out of this war.

56:59

Never would my dad say that. My dad wants genocides. So, I don't agree with you. I don't think my mom and my dad are on the same level. Oh [ __ ] this shit's going fast as hell. Naomi P. Chad, do you have Letterbox? No. People always tell me I need to get it. I just do my movie reviews on my personal Instagram. Whenever I go see a movie, I get somebody to take a picture of me standing in front of the poster and then I write a little like paragraph on my Instagram. That's good enough for me. Um, oh my god. Oh, oh, thank you very much.

57:33

Better than 98. I appreciate your one piece take. Thank you very much. Um, I it's just like for I feel bad not watching it. You know what I mean? I do consider myself to be I don't know if I'm an anime afficionado, but I have seen a lot of it and I know a lot of the history of it and stuff and I know One Piece is like a very big important piece of that. No pun intended. I just cannot do it. I cannot. I cannot.

58:01

Oh my god. Trills trails nail 918. Derby 22 darbies. If you know, you know. Um, yes. I missed this too. M. Fowler official. I miss Bob calling you a stupid communist. I do too. I told him that the other day. I'm like, you gotta get better so you can sit up and come back on the show. I miss you calling me a communist. And he didn't even laugh. He was just like, "Well, you are okay. Thanks."

58:35

Uh, this is not true. Intense. Intense. Cutting cuten. It's not even a necessary conversation. It's not a conversation at all. All it is is Chad having a conversation with Newsmax talking points. I don't agree with that. I as I said like I know a lot of people get super [ __ ] hard on like the idea that oh my mom's never going to change and it's a pointless [ __ ] conversation and this conversation isn't necessary but I will just keep referring to the fact that we have gotten my mom to say abolish ICE still believes it even today she was saying it and is for

59:06

universal healthare and is against war. We have made such massive progress with her. Like go back and listen to those first episodes or watch some of those first episodes that we did on video when her and my dad are on it. Like she's not the same person. Um so whether you believe I am just having a conversation with Newsmax talking points or not, whatever I'm doing, whatever my sister is doing has affected my mom in my opinion for the better. Um oh [ __ ] Let me scroll down to the bottom here. God damn.

59:39

Yes, Willow 7302. Oh, what? Now he's reading the chat. Yes, I'm reading a little bit of this. Little bit of this for a couple of minutes. Um, Griffins McGee. Bob is Archie Bunker without a soul. He has a soul. He likes um animals, little dogs and stuff. Ryan Flynn, is Bob on a diet? Dr. Pepper Drip IV. see if he could be on one. [ __ ] yeah.

1:00:12

Willow 7302 says, "Oh [ __ ] did I click it?" Yeah, Chad, you're in denial. Seriously, it's been four years. Yes, it's been four years and we've gotten my mom to make some massive psychological changes and we are still marching forward to that big one where she denounces Trump and comes fully to the side of reason. It will happen. I have uh a firm belief that it will only because of this progress that we've made and at the very least the the real purpose of this podcast always has been to maintain some kind of a relationship with our parents. Uh and that has it's

1:00:45

been successful in that. So I would say that I'm not in denial at all. I would say if anything I look at this project very objectively in terms of um how it has affected our family and certainly how it's affecting my mom. I never really had a hope that my dad would ever change his mind on anything or see reason or understand that Trump is brainwashing people and they are those people. But I thought, you know, my mom there was a chance and if we were diligent and just kind of kept at it, I thought like, you know, we could maybe do this. And I again, I see massive

1:01:16

signs that we are progressing very nicely. And yes, it has taken four years, but I think getting anybody out of a cult takes a little bit of time. You can't just like offer them some uh argument and they're like, "Oh [ __ ] you're right. I denounce my entire identity." You've got to like slowly bit by bit uh you know, strip away the kind of brainwashing until they come to that conclusion themselves. At least that's my strategy. Um telepathic echo 9497. Funny how chat thinks they know your parents better than you do. Um, I don't know if that's accurate either. Like I and I totally

1:01:56

get the um the idea that like you watch this podcast and it seems like no progress is made or whatever. I totally get that and it just is a matter of like again you in my opinion the strategy has to be sticking with it. Um even if there's like backslides and stuff. Uh Politics Girl Undone Sky. Yeah, I love her. I watch your stuff all the time. But again, I'm like I don't know.

1:02:24

I I just feel like our podcast isn't um big enough. You know what I'm saying? To get somebody of that. But I know we've been on other podcasts that are like that big. Maybe I'll reach out. I'll see what I can do. Like I said, I got some interesting guests that I'm working on right now. Um it's not Francis. I'm building a Thanos commander deck right now. Congratulations. I'm building right now. Don't hate me. Do not hate me for this.

1:02:52

Or you can. It doesn't really matter. I'm building a Where is she? A Turrid God of Fright deck. Look at that. Yes. And it's an anti deck. Um because I'm going to try and popularize commander for anti. So get ready for that. Um let me go down to the bottom here. What time is it? All right. All right, I do have to go shortly, but I'll answer a few more questions. Um, yes. Yes, Willow7302. Anyway, moving on when things get challenged. Yes, that is my tactic. It's to you never, in my opinion, because I tried this very early on in the podcast of just like, you

1:03:39

know, unrelenting like get a topic and like just [ __ ] nail her to the wall on it. That [ __ ] did not work. So now my tactic has been for the past couple of years probably to bring up a topic, listen to what she says, refute it with facts, or in some cases refute it with things that I know will trigger her emotionally like uh ICE detentions of children, things of that nature, and then get her right to the point where I can see she's like it's too much for her, and then I move on because that has done its job. It's a slow process of

1:04:11

like just kind of whiddling away, wearing her down little by little until the logic can sink in or until at least the the ability for her to like see what's actually going on can sink in. But I think um you know, hammering her too hard on anything is counterproductive. At least this is what I found and this is the strategy that I'm working and um you know it, like I said, I'm I'm having good results with it. At least um you know, results that I consider good.

Um, Aaron E. Bumblebee. Chad, you need a Twitch account. Set it up. Let me know where I got to be and when I got to be there. I'm like, uh, I I don't know. I can't set up another [ __ ] account. I know everybody wants a Discord and I there is a Discord um that someone has made for this show. I can't I can't do it though.

1:05:02

It's too much. Um, oh my god, bird. Oh, where'd it go? Says, "Clu, Ian Sterling on Traders Before You thoughts?" I haven't even looked at that, the full cast list. He's on it, though. God damn it. Ian Sterling is the narrator for Love Island, and he's going to be on the Celebrity Traders, I guess. I mean, he deserves it. He really does. I know I was hard on him when I first started watching Love Island, but after seeing other hosts try to do what he does, he's he's good. He He knows what he's doing.

Um, old fashioned roses. Get Haley to steal the Trump hats while she's there. Laugh my ass off. So, where's all my Trump hats? That would be so [ __ ] funny. Oh my god. Uh, this is an interesting question. This will be my last question. I'm going to answer this and I'm going to go. So, thank everybody for joining. This is from LC5879. Chad, how can you navigate still loving your dad knowing he will never change?

1:06:06

This is a a complex question as well. Um, and it isn't necessarily like just to do with my dad specifically or the nature of our relationship or whatever. But for me personally, I view like my parents as um, you know, people who tried their best and were born into their own situations, their own families as children that were not the best. And um you know I don't think that they are like my dad seems malicious and malevolent and all of that. I think because of the circumstance he was born into and I don't think he's ever gone to therapy or really done any kind of like reflective

1:06:46

work to understand why he is the way he is and how it's all based on pain and fear and blah blah blah. So I don't really begrudge him that I guess. Um, I view him as a person who is like in pain and doesn't even know it personally. I view him as like kind of a victim of his circumstance a little bit. And I'm not saying that excuses any of his views or anything like that. It doesn't. And I disagree with all of them. But that said, I have sympathy for him um, and the person that he is. And I mean, I guess that's kind of the bottom line of

1:07:18

it. And of course, I have a a like uh being a son of this person who like gave me everything in my early life that allowed me to become the person that I am and all of that, you know? I'm grateful for that. And ultimately, as we were talking about earlier, I don't think death is the end of human consciousness. And I think when he dies, my dad uh is gonna, you know, get hit with some [ __ ] knowledge. I think he's gonna like look back on this life and be like, "Fuck, I really [ __ ] that up." I do think he will. I as I think

1:07:52

all of us upon death, I don't know if it's like truly a life flashing before your eyes type thing or what it is, but I do think that we get some amount of knowledge upon death about what the purpose of this life was and what we did well and didn't do well. I think that is coming to him. And uh so yeah, I mean I I don't know what how else to put it. I love him. That's life. Even though he's a [ __ ] [ __ ] Um, one more thing.

Ratty 5547. Whitney Leit is also on Traders. I know. I cannot wait to see her play. Thank you everybody for joining me. Um, I'll be back on what is today? Sunday. I'll be back Wednesday with this episode that I'm going to do with my mom where we go through her ex's on this website. I am very curious to see how this goes. I hope you'll join me for that. And then um, what else? Sunday. Next Sunday we'll be back. So, thank you very much and um I will see you soon.
